Setup and implementation across our domain was pretty painless.
Pros: Low performance impact, easy to use. A well-known and well-established product.
Cons: Sometimes may be lacking in actual removal or detection. Still, very good in comparison.
Mario G. · IT Director · Retail · March 25, 2025
It's not obtrusive but I question its effectiveness compared to other antivirus companies based on other reviews
Pros: Simple and noninvasive compared to other products.
Cons: Other reviews often suggest its not up to par with many other antivirus software companies

Again, the product worked great for us for many years and ran quite smoothly. Unfortunately, once we ran into issues, their support essentially threw their hands up and said they can't get this updated or fixed unless it's affecting more customers, and by the end, they essentially just wanted us to leave so they didn't have to deal with our issues anymore. I believe the company has grown beyond its means and is now focused on large clients only, and doesn't have the resources, ability or support to assist with smaller companies with dedicated issues anymore

Pros: Webroot worked great for our company for monitoring incoming threats for several years, before everything fell apart.
Cons: Unfortunately, our last year or so with them was fraught with constant issues that Webroot was unable or unwilling to resolve. At one point, they admitted there was an issue with their software causing it, but it was unlikely the code developers would look into fixing this since we were small time and it wasn't a widespread issue. Their support team eventually gave up trying to assist us after many hours of issues and different support individuals (Several who were quite combatative and unhelpful). We moved to WINDOWS DEFENDER FOR BUSINESS and couldn't be happier with the service and ease of use provided

Pros: Webroot is very easy to install and manage. Virus signatures are updated in real time automatically through their cloud based signature platform. Very good software and great value.
Cons: There really are no cons to Webroot. Easy for users and administrators. We have also never had any issues, so thank you Webroot.
Robert B. · ITO · Financial Services · June 7, 2024
Pros: It was easy to install and uninstall. Sometimes almost too easy to uninstall
Cons: It was common for the agent on computers to encounter issues updating, connecting to the management portal, updating setting changes from the management end, etc.

Pros: This thing works great and is extremely easy to use. It really helps us to mitigate security threats.
Cons: VERY rarely, this software has missed a potential threat. But I need to emphasize this has been VERY rare.
Brad S. · Project Manager · Information Technology and Services · June 9, 2023
Deployed to a small client site as a proof of concept and so far hey are happy
Pros: Small agent size and can distributed via a prepacked agent and download via Link
Cons: Lacks in some more advanced features and support from local distributor is terrible

This has been a great product for the lower priced AV out there.
Pros: It's very non-intrusive on the desktops. It only lets you know it's working when it finds something. I like the low overhead vs some of the others out there.
Cons: It's not as full featured as others with AI detection. Not sure how zero-day detections are with this vs higher end products
Robert L. · IT · Computer & Network Security · February 14, 2023
Pros: Easy to install, not much else really. It's not easy to see what this software has actually done to your system.
Cons: I've used Webroot for quite a few years but only just realised it's worse than many of the Scam cowboys on the internet it's supposed to protect you from.Webroot CAPTURES your PC and it's very difficult to get rid of it.Because Webroot now charges ridiculous prices for renewal, especially for customers outside the USA/Canada, I decided to delete it and install a different software. It's only then I find that Webroot does EVERYTHING it can to stop you deleting it.. It's CAPTURED your computer. You need to be a computer expert to be able to find the tricks to get this MALWARE out of your computer. It's worse than any Malware software I've seen before.I warn anyone thinking of installing it to BEWARE !!
David H. · Owner · Computer Software · January 31, 2023
Pros: Webroot has a lightweight agent, it's easy to deploy, manager and administrate. Good enough to protect against off the shelf malware.
Cons: A signature-based product which is not good enough to protect against sophisticated and advanced malware.

Fantastic from the start, deployed and policy applied. The reports are great, and the dashboard (console) is easy to navigate.
Pros: Applying our own customised policy to our devices and having peace of mind that our machines are secured. The detection is quiet and admins are notified accordingly, the software uses very little resources on machines as well as uses few resources on the browser we use within the company (Microsoft Edge).
Cons: We don't have anything we least like about the software. It does everything right and have no complaints.

Fabio V. · Consulente IT · Information Technology and Services · November 3, 2022
Pros: Never let you down in terms of security. It is an app that deserves its money, if you don't feel safe surfing the internet, you should definitely use it.
Cons: I had an excellent experience, but your internet may slow down for security reasons, remember that.
Adil E. · Principal Manager, Cyber Security TP · Information Technology and Services · November 1, 2022
Pros: Endpoint security - blacklist/whitelist apps, remote wipe, kiosk, geofencing & geotracking. Perform desktop, mobile device & modern management functionalities from a single console.
Cons: Till to find a negative thing in this software
Girish P. · Key Account Manager · Financial Services · August 23, 2022
It has not been good. Webroot's support team does not provide consistent answers from one rep to the next, nobody seems to know what is going on at any given time. We had to explain the Intel adapter issue to our account rep (which we had to seek out and request multiple times to even get an account rep), and even then it seems like nobody can stay on the same page. How do you fix something in one release, for it to be broken again in the next one? How is that acceptable from a quality standpoint? It is absolutely absurd to us, and we are looking to move on. We do NOT recommend going with Webroot whatsoever.
Pros: It does act as a competent AV most of the time. Webroot does install rather easily, and does detect and mitigate threats. It's a no frills AV solution for us, and it usually does the job.
Cons: This product will occasionally break critical aspects of a workstation. Examples: We have seen the Identity Protection component break Chrome so that it will not always launch properly (multiple times). We have also experienced an issue where workstations with a specific Intel based network adapter will drop the connection... again, multiple times (fixed in one release, but then breaks again upon the next). There have been far too many of these incidents in the last few years for us to consider staying with Webroot. We have had it with this product making us look like idiots to our clients.

Pros: Quick setup, runs well in the background
Cons: more reports/alerts on clean scans, what was scanned
Nathan W. · IT Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · June 29, 2022
Pros: The software is simple to install, manage and uninstall for a central management system. It is lightweight and does not use a lot of resources.
Cons: I found the software frustrating to use and the level of granular control was missing compared to other business products. To me it seemed very much like they had taken the consumer version and just made it centrally managed to call it "Business".
Anthony R. · IT Technical Project Manager · Computer Hardware · June 10, 2022
It has been a great value for money and helped us keep our clients secured and satisfied. Helped us monitoring and managing devices.
Pros: Easy to install, manage and monitor. Really time protection and updated on cloud base. Threat intelligence working really good. Admin center easy to use. Can create group for each client.
Cons: Admin center sometimes keep computers been uninstalled. There is no report of devices been offline or not connected to database. If they can offer mobile devices protection
Anonymous User · Administrator · Information Technology and Services · June 9, 2022
Pros: Worked quite well, quiet / behind the scenes. Not a lot of false positives and don't recall ever a case where it didn't catch malware.
Cons: WebRoot was deployed by our IT services provider and they set up all the controls / restrictions so unsure if limits were inherent in the system or imposed by our provider. Still, users had what they needed; i.e., it would scan in the background, take action as needed, and users could trigger a scan if they needed.
Don H. · VP Quality & Validation Services · Medical Devices · May 24, 2022
Pros: Ease of Use!. By far the easiest endpoint solution for our needs! Setup was a breeze to roll out to our endusers! everyone was able to remotely install client by the click of a link and that is awesome!
Cons: Additional notifications from the console would be nice! not sure if i dont have this configured properly or if its a con at all!
Anthony A. · IT Specialist · Consumer Goods · March 18, 2022
Pros: Low CPU use, with high efficiency and simplicity
Cons: Everything works, but when the computer don't report, reinstall is the solution.
Luis C. · CEO · Computer Software · February 8, 2022
Pros: The interface was nice and it wasn't super difficult to deploy
Cons: It doesn't offer great protection compared to other products.
Anthony B. · IT Support · Hospital & Health Care · January 11, 2022
I wanted to like Secure Anywhere, and it was nice to see the application made it easy to enter the activation code for when you've already purchased on another device so there was no room for messing that up, but I was hoping for options, details, customization, and it was more *womp womp*, but I will keep using the desktop protection.
Pros: Easy integration, simple user interface, and I appreciated that scan result and actions were "explained" in layman's terms so I knew what the app was doing and why.
Cons: The user interface is ugly and outdated and while the laptop version of webroot is feature rich and comprehensive, the mobile app literally only told me my location was turned off and one other thing. I'm not sure why there is such a drastic disconnect from desktop to mobile application, but I couldn't find anywhere to customize how it scanned my phone or when and I have no idea if it saved a log somewhere on my phone or not. I like webroot products, but I couldn't get behind this one.
Sarah C. · Speech Language Pathologist · Health, Wellness and Fitness · November 9, 2021
Pros: Its a stable piece of software that deliver great functionalities
Cons: There is really nothing i dislike about it.
Anonymous User · IT Coordinator · Information Technology and Services · October 15, 2021
Pros: This app is amazing in detecting the bugs that could affect one's system. The virus scan process is top-notch without even slowing my system.
Cons: I made a mistake installing the software when I still had another antivirus on my system, which affected my system badly. I had to uninstall both and reinstall the Secure Anywhere again. It's been working fine since then.
