My overall experience with Microsoft Access was a very good experience dealing with customers databases.
Pros: Microsoft Access made it easy for me to add in clients as well as search for clients in any field I needed to.
Cons: Creating the the files I found to be more on the difficult side I wasn't as much involved in that part but I'm sure I could learn it.

Pros: What I liked most about Microsoft Access is how quickly you can build practical internal tools without heavy development. In practice, databases for portfolio tracking, client registers, audit follow-up, inventory logs, or workflow forms can be created relatively fast. It is strong for combining tables, queries, forms, and reports in one desktop tool.
Cons: What I liked least about Microsoft Access is scalability. Once data volumes grow, many users need simultaneous access, or governance requirements become stricter, the tool reaches limits. It can also become fragile if poorly designed with many linked objects and VBA dependencies.

I would rate Microsoft Access as a robust and versatile database management tool, suitable for small to medium-sized projects.
Pros: Its user-friendly interface and integration with other Microsoft Office products make database management and reporting accessible for non-technical users.
Cons: Limited scalability and performance issues arise with larger datasets, making it less suitable for extensive database projects.

Overall it is a great tool if you are starting with a small dataset. Also, because of the integrated forms, it is easy to provide this in a central location to do structured data collection from multiple people.
Pros: Access is simple to use and made setting up relatively small databases quick and easy. Having integrated forms also made it easy to move the database around as needed.
Cons: Its performance starts lagging when your database starts getting somewhat large. I also sometimes had struggles getting other tools to connect to it.

The hole experience is very good with access, in my case I use it to handle welding data for several hundreds of robots in a body shop. I use access for this data handling and it is easier to do this task in access than in any other software, for instance excel. And also make depth and complicated link within information easier.
Pros: I think microsoft access has a lot more pottential than all people realized, it was a very good tool to handle and manage large data bases. Many people do not know this product exist and that is a shame, at the same time most people do not actually handle such a large data base so that excel does not meet their needs. Access has been a power full tool do handle and take care of my large data bases tasks, and its potential for automatization
Cons: At this time with this software in specific, I actually have not find any problem or complain about access it, works well for data storage and data handling, and it is compatible with microsoft apps and others.

Cons: Unable to connect with non microsoft tools

It has been my preferred developing platform for years.
Pros: It is super easy to develop any kind of application using VBA.
Cons: You cannot create executables, this forces you to have MS Access installed on the PC where you want to run your application.

Pros: I love the functionality of it. We used it to make a database for our customers. It worked really well! Highly recommend for anyone looking to create a database.
Cons: It was no longer supported and so we lost our database and had to switch to an online provider.

Working with Access can be as small as creating a table listed with names, address, and telephone number to as big as analyzing report information in a big company.
Pros: It stores, creates reports and tables. It uses tables to store data and you can share the created reports.
Cons: Limited at working with other databases it has some restrictions.

I've had more than 30 years of using it for various business practices. It's the right tool for the job in so many cases.
Pros: Microsoft Access has been around for more than 30 years for a reason. It's useful and I couldn't do my work without it.
Cons: It's usable, but complex. Thankful for lots of YouTube videos to help teach me lots of cool solutions for best practices with using Microsoft Access.

So far, I’ve had great experience with this
Pros: If we have an issue with something, you guys look at and fix it right away
Cons: We’re still having issues uploading certain items we need

This is by far the hest software for creating databases ive ever used. It helps create databases for medical data entry that companies still use 20 years later.
Pros: I love how easy it is to create databases for companies with this software. The graphics are awsome and it gives you all the settings and options on a easy to use platform.
Cons: It sometimes has trouble importing files from other databases not created with Access giving you a mess to clean up.
Ezra M. · Owner · Luxury Goods & Jewelry · August 28, 2024
Pros: An easy Database application, for students and teachers. I have used it in my class very efficient.
Cons: Some features are difficult to find in the beginning, but using it often it gets better and user friendlier.
Rodica M. · Teacher · E-Learning · August 6, 2024
find for small or quick projects, but sometimes lacking for more complex needs
Pros: Compatibility and familiarity with all other Microsoft product family
Cons: feels somewhat less powerful and functional than other database and query engines
Guy G. · Director · Health, Wellness and Fitness · August 1, 2024
Absolutely critical to our business and very powerful.
Pros: Great functionality in helping us create databases as well as workflows with permissions. Can perform and monitor most business functions.
Cons: Overall user interface is challenging at times and is not a very intuitive learn.
Mark H. · Operational Excellence · Automotive · June 27, 2024
In general MS Access is great tool which can be used to manage small company data, reducing the need for lots of spreadsheets.
Pros: If you are a beginner to database management and dash boards MS Access is a good place to start. It then has the additional features to connect to other databases such as SQL. There are also many customization you can make with VBA.
Cons: After using Access for many years the updated versions would often have different file types and previous VBA would become redundant. This seems not to be such a problem in recent years.
Mark S. · Technical Manager · Facilities Services · April 29, 2024
Moncef A. · Marketer · Medical Devices · April 15, 2024
Hatem H. · PDG · Animation · April 2, 2024
Rami S. · Marketer · Furniture · March 29, 2024
Mortadha B. · Cadre · Furniture · March 29, 2024
Pros: I find it really useful as a database to link lots of spreadsheets when there is a lot of data. With Microsoft being a popular software of various applications having a familiar layout and to link to Excel spreadsheets is good. The queries that can be made is very useful to make things quicker
Cons: Those that need huge amounts of storage may find this gets a bit slow. But still holds a lot!
