Pros: I like the organization that they provide when uploading invoices for our vendors. It is an extra step for us to get paid, however it makes it clear cut on what we are charging for. It also makes it very clear what project the work was performed on,
Cons: I have no cons from my experience of having to enter invoices into Coupa for payment from our customers.

Honestly, my feelings on Coupa are a bit of a mixed bag, but mostly positive in the end. We moved from a messy system of emails and spreadsheets, so having everything in one place is a huge relief. I finally know who is spending what before the bill actually arrives, which makes my job way easier. That said, getting there wasn't fun. The implementation took longer than we expected, and getting our non-techy staff to actually use it correctly was a struggle. It’s not something you "pick up" in an afternoon. But now that we are over the hump, I can’t imagine going back to the old way. It works, but you have to be patient with it.
Pros: The "Amazon-like" feel. For the average employee buying office supplies or laptops, it’s actually pretty easy. They search for what they need and click buy. It stops them from going rogue and buying stuff from random websites. The Mobile App, a lifesaver for expenses. Being able to snap a photo of a receipt at dinner and toss the paper away immediately is the best feature. Invoicing. I love that a vendor literally cannot get paid unless they have a matching PO. It forces everyone to follow the rules.

Cons: Suppliers complaints. The "Coupa Supplier Portal" is great for us, but annoying for them to log in just to submit an invoice.

Overall, it has been a true asset and a helpful tool with very specific clients who are incredibly important to my small business!
Pros: I think the ease of use and how quickly I was able to implement it into my daily use! It became incredibly helpful and is now vital part of my invoicing!
Cons: I was nervous about learning the program and was worried about a learning curve! THANKFULLY, it was easy to learn and I was immediately able to adapt! NO CONS!

I had a really good experience using Coupa as an accounts payable executive. I enjoyed totally. The way it integrates with everything even with AI
Pros: I used coupon, basically for invoice processing and expense management. It was really good the way it raises requisitions and create them into purchase orders having the approval for right, and it’s integration with that Netsuite was perfect.
Cons: the Coupa supplier portal was a difficult to navigate, which made us a lot of errors on the invoice processing from vendor end
Rajneet K. · Accounts Payable executive · Information Technology and Services · September 26, 2025
Signing up was the easy part, the process to make an invoice is not easy. Would like to have assistance.
Pros: I use it for processing invoice and getting paid from vendors. There has not been any cost to me....
Cons: Not very user friendly. Hard to navigate throughout the program. Hopefully customer service is helpful

Coupa is a great management tool for purchase and order requests, it has saved 100s of man hours and streamlined the payment process
Pros: What I like the most about Coupa is the access to previous orders and the ease of approving pending orders and requested orders.
Cons: Coupa can be slightly cumbersome for ordering from the odd one off purchase of items. Credit card purchases required an additional step.
Triston C. · Maintenance · Logistics and Supply Chain · July 19, 2025
Pros: Coupa for expense reporting makes the process much smoother. Submitting receipts is easy—especially with the mobile app—and I appreciate how quickly reports move through approvals. The interface is generally user-friendly.
Cons: While convenient, the app can be buggy or inconsistent—slow loading times, issues attaching receipts, or syncing problems.
Anonymous User · Web designer · Retail · May 25, 2025
Pros: Mainstream program that is widely adopted, many of our customers use Coupa. Industry leader. Robust and reliable system.
Cons: Invoice submission seems to require more clicks than should be necessary, could be more intuitive via machine learning.
Jamon H. · Director - Treasury Operations · Industrial Automation · May 24, 2025
Coupa is important for what we use it for, but it isn't the friendliest user interface and makes it hard to collaborate internally
Pros: Coupa is a good spend tracking tool to collaborate with other portfolio companies to compare pricing
Cons: Coupa doesn't have the best user interface and isn't the easiest to use across the team, so others drive higher value
Pat D. · Sr. Director · Hospital & Health Care · May 22, 2025
Relatively easy to use product, little difficulty using it once you get used to the features. We currently use it for tracking and submitting POs
Cons: A little cumbersome as stated getting used to the features. There is a lot to to Coupa and it can be a little difficult getting around at first
Zachary H. · EHS Manager · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · May 5, 2025
Very positive. It has made it very easy to arrange expenses and raise payments/POs for our central function without needing lengthy involvement or instruction with the Finance team.
Pros: The interface is a lot clearer than a lot of other payment/expense software I've used, and the ability to differentiate access across users makes it easy as a one-size-fits all solution.
Cons: I've not had any negative experiences of Coupa and its usage. As a user, it would be helpful to have more thorough reporting functions on what I have been raising costs for and to see how this might look over a timeline, for example.

Not great! Overall it’s not a good ux and it’s complicated to use
Pros: I was glad to be able to submit my expenses and it was thorough
Cons: I found expense submitting to be really complicated and I often didn’t have all the info I needed
Ellie S. · Senior Marketing Campaigns Lead · Education Management · April 19, 2025
Handy but I feel like it use to be far more intuitive in it's early days compared to now.
Pros: Image/invoice upload is nice and very fast
Cons: No easy way to just "upload invoice." Mobile app not as intuitive.
Jesse H. · Transportation Supervisor · Recreational Facilities and Services · March 18, 2025
I have been using Coupa for around five years. The platform is easy to use and will save you time on invoicing. They also have a variety of resources to learn more about the platform and tailor it to your needs.
Pros: Making the switch to Coupa cut the time I spent on individual invoices in half. The process is streamlined and very intuitive.
Cons: The hardest aspect of Coupa is convincing my vendors to buy in to signing up for it. It is not a difficult process but can be daunting when the vendors are not familiar with Coupa.
Matthew P. · Founder · Retail · March 16, 2025
Streamlined navigation offering comprehensive, single point visibility. Highly user friendly.
Pros: A highly intuitive and user-friendly interface
Cons: The product presents some difficulties in customization
Raj S. · President · Computer & Network Security · March 8, 2025
Coupa is a business spend management system.
Pros: The entire life cycle of a purchase from sourcing to payment will be handled within the Coupa platform.
Cons: Everything is cool with Coupa. The missing thing is AI, I think they will introduce it later to get the invoices correctly.
Krishna S. · Analyst · Environmental Services · March 5, 2025
A good experience when everything is smooth but it can sometimes be a nightmare because it's not intuitive
Pros: Coupa is great for contract management and onboard new vendors. I like using it because we have one source of truth
Cons: It's not really intuitive and the process can be very long
Mathieu L. · Recruiter · Information Technology and Services · March 3, 2025
While the platform has powerful features, the complexity of the interface took a lot of time.
Pros: It allowed us to work with a large client, and was possible to use. It helps centralize purchase data.
Cons: Coupa was difficult to use. The interface is complex, and it took time to figure out how to click through many redundant pages.
Alexander Z. · CRO · Media Production · February 5, 2025
Pros: The best feature is the ability to take a picture of a receipt and it will automatically pull the date, location, price, etc and fill in the blanks which helps save time. You'll of course need to double-check it yourself but for the most part, it has been accurate.
Cons: I've had a few times where it gives me an error when I make a selection for the expense category even though it's an approved category but not sure if that's even on Coupa's end.
Haruki T. · Sr. ADR · Computer Software · January 12, 2025
10 out of 10 I highly recommend this program
Pros: How easy it is to use of all the programs I use I feel Coupa is the most user friendly
Cons: nothing really but if I have to pick something I guess it would be the two part authentification it is a pain but I know it is to protect my information
DONNA B. · Account administration Lead · Construction · January 9, 2025
Pros: Ease of use and stability of the overall platform
Cons: The process is slightly outdated but it’s more of an aesthetic.
Deja T. · Site Manager · Retail · January 5, 2025
Pros: Easy to use interface for approving invoices and budget allocation
Cons: doesn't show details when payments will be done and if payments were completed
Prashanth P. · Sr. Product Manager Technical · Internet · December 12, 2024
I have been using Coups for almost 3 years. It is very User friendly and simple to use. As I have mentioned, To claim any travel expense, we need to create a report and submit. For that first we need to click on "Travel & Expenses" button which is placed at the top of the page. This button is not highlighted and this is not made with bold font. So User doesn't think that this is a button that he/she needs to click on to proceed further. This is the only observation I had. This can be taken into consideration for better User experience.
Pros: I have been using Coups for alomst 3 years. It is very User friendly and simple to use. The way it is implemented is very User friendly and it can be integrated with other tools as well.
Cons: To claim any travel expense, we need to create a report and submit. For that first we need to click on "Travel & Expenses" button which is placed at the top of the page. This button is not highlighted and this is not made with bold font. So User doesn't think that this is a button that he/she needs to click on to proceed further. This is the only observation I had.

I have used coupa to optimize my spending and supply needs for work.
Pros: Coupa maintains all items in a easy to search and purchase items necessary for daily operations.
Cons: At this time there is not any cons that I have about Coupa.
Kim M. · Talent Advisor · Child Day Care Services · November 15, 2024
It is a nightmare to create a profile. There are a million questions and a lot of them irrelevant. It asks the same info for 4-5 times. I wasted a lot of my time to create a profile (1 hour). The customer service didn't help at all.
Pros: I don't know because I didn't use it. I only created a profile.
Cons: It asks information that is not relevant
