Pros: I've only dealt with the free plan while working with one of my clients. Kit makes it super simple to create email content and send out email broadcasts. You also do not have to duplicate the same user across multiple lists. You can simply use tagging to have one subscriber on more than one list. Customer support is speedy and useful.
Cons: On the free tier, customization options are limited. Also, the entry price to the first paid tier is much more than with other email marketing platforms. Going from $0 to (at the time of this review) $33/mo or $390/yr is not budget-friendly to bootstrapping solopreneurs, and I primarily work with bootstrapping solopreneurs. Also, you are not allowed to use one email for sending and another email as "reply-to" on ANY plan, free or paid.

We are very happy with Kit and believe it compares well if not better to its competitors. You can seamlessly design in the platform and deploy dynamic elements in email campaigns.
Pros: Kit is very easy to personalize to our organization's style. It allowed us to have seamless communications with our audience and preserve a fluid style from our website to our communications. Kit also allowed us to gather impactful data on the successes or pitfalls of our different email campaigns--thus allowing us to improve our communications.

I loved using it to start my email marketing journey. It was easy to use and there was a lot of a resources and support l
Pros: It was easy to use. I love the UI of it and the free plan was up to 10,000 subscribers. It also integrated well with a lot of other tools. I also liked the creator profile and the link in bio. Great for those who don’t have a website yet. And is just getting started. You could run your entire business with kit
Cons: I didn’t like the automation limits in the free plan and I that there isn’t an app. But overall, it’s so easy to use

Good for a beginner and a small business owner! The large price increases as my email list grew was difficult on me as a small business owner.
Pros: Kit has a handful of premade templates that made getting started with email marketing and email list management easy to initiate. Kit made the process less overwhelming.
Cons: The templates provided for paid subscribers are very basic, must be edited on a desk top, and the price increases significantly with subscriber amount but the features do not improve or change.

Kit has allowed me to successfully upload my contacts and create beautiful templates for email marketing, all free and easy to do.
Pros: Kit is still just as fantastic as ever. Their free plan offers far more than competitive software and it's very simple to use.
Cons: There isn't anything that I dislike about Kit. I do believe they are still my favorite email marketing platform.
Andrea L. · Marketing Manager · Financial Services · December 4, 2025
Pros: Kit is an easy to use Email Service Provider that makes automation easy and understandable for any skill level. I also love that their customer support team is active and will reply with solutions quickly.
Cons: Kit has room for improvement in advanced features, but it's prioritization of ease of use easily outweighs that shortcoming.
Caleb D. · Lifecycle Marketing Manager · Computer Software · November 10, 2025
Pros: It's easy to use, pretty quick to get used to, the automations are nice, the free version too. Overall, I liked pretty much everything about it.
Cons: The only thing is we had trouble importing our contacts from older sources. Other than that, nothing major to complain about with Converkit.
Chris D. · Head of Content · Information Technology and Services · July 14, 2025
Pros: Integrations with HubSpot; system was very user-friendly--helpful for people just beginning their business and email marketing system!
Cons: Design and layout options were limited for emails, and it's hard to test conditional formatting / rules for each email.
Anonymous User · Life and Career Coach, HR Consultant · Professional Training & Coaching · June 16, 2025
Pros: It’s kinda lowkey but I like it. Helps me put together product recommendations fast without overthinking it. Feels casual, which I like.
Cons: Would be cool if there were more layout choices or ways to show stuff, but for simple lists it does the trick.
Alex D. · Nutritionist · Health, Wellness and Fitness · June 1, 2025
Overall it's easy to use and I would recommend it for a fairly inexpensive option for email management, funnels and more.
Pros: It's very easy to use, most things I can do intuitively, and if not, then there are easy-to-follow videos to walk me through.
Cons: I wish I could edit the templates a bit more. I wish it incorporated more drag and drop and add like canva into it's templates for lead magnets and more.

My overall experience with Kit was positive. It’s simple, easy to use, and helpful for managing basic tasks, though it could benefit from more advanced features for complex needs.
Pros: I liked most about Kit is how straightforward and user-friendly it is, making task management quick and efficient.
Cons: I liked least about Kit is that it lacks some advanced features that could support more complex tasks or workflows.

Kit has been great so far! Very helpful and easy to use. Pretty straightforward platform!
Pros: I love using Kit to help with Kit. It’s very helpful and offers many good and helpful tools!
Cons: I’ve had no issues when it comes to using Kit. It’s a very smooth running platform!
Mikaela S. · Assistant Manager · Consumer Goods · April 27, 2025
Fully satisfied. Not planning to move to another platform and never were for more than five years being an active customer with a medium size subscriber list (between 1.000 and 2.5000 subs).
Pros: I moved from MailChimp. I increased the open conversions from 20% to 40% with the same list. I like the automations and sequences, and the segmentation and tagging features. I have Kit integrated with WP, LearnWorlds (previously with Patreon and Teachable) and I could tag all subscribers to drive campaigns to specific audiences.
Cons: It takes a while to really understand how to manage how sequences and visual integrations work.

I've been using Kit to set up a newletter and a landing page for a new buisiness I am working on. I was looking for something simple and easy to navigate, while still presenting a polished look with functionality.
Pros: I am drawn to the aethetics of the platform, and found all of the instructional video content to be very useful.
Cons: Despite the wealth of instruction, I'm still finding myself hung up and confused at times about how to navigate setting up a landing page and newsletter. Slowly and with persistence I've been able to troubleshoot the roadblocks.

It was fine, there is no major frustration, it just didn’t really impress me. But I definitely think it would be good for people with less experience.
Pros: It’s pretty easy to use. It gets the job done and there seems to be good FAQ content. There is nothing specifically wrong with it, but I was underwhelmed with it, so I don’t have a lot of positive to say about it. I think it would be good for a beginner or someone that doesn’t have marketing and experience with other tools.
Cons: It’s clunky, the user interface seems like it could have a better layout and flow between the different elements. I think it’s kind of basic. Nothing is specifically bad, it just didn’t seem great in comparison to other tools.

It is user-friendly so I can take care of everything that I need to handle the email list and therefore I get much more productive
Pros: It is very convenient to build the emails with the drag and drop feature. Furthermore, it is cool to activate the automation feature and my time of the task is saved
Cons: Nevertheless, looking at all the benefits of the system, I still think that it is worth it
Rebecca R. · Graphic Designer · Design · February 23, 2025
Pros: It was better than MailChimp at the time! Had some more features and better deliverability. Set up was pretty easy from what I remember.
Cons: Felt pretty limited in workflows, low customer support, not the best UI.
Allison C. · Founder · Marketing and Advertising · February 20, 2025
Overall it helped me start my newsletter career and grow an audience
Pros: It was one of the best newsletter software I used and helped me gain an audience
Cons: It was quite hard to manage everything in the one dashboard, and at times the funnels had too many steps
Anonymous User · Social media manager · Apparel & Fashion · February 11, 2025
I do admire KIT as it is for a very segmented group of users, creators, and has built their whole product around servicing them which is awesome. If you are not a creator with an audience I would not consider KIT. If you are a creator, it is the best. Go no where else.
Pros: Easy to build! The platform is setup well for creators specifically to share across multiple channels.
Cons: Did not like their segmentation and popup capabilities, both seem pretty limiting for an ESP.
Zachary W. · Enterprise Account Manager · Marketing and Advertising · February 10, 2025
I found it easy to use and loved the friendly, relaxed (like hearing from a friend) way they communicate with their customers.
Pros: I truly enjoyed the friendly, informative emails with helpful blog posts and tips on email marketing, course creating, etc.
Cons: It pretty expensive for new startups trying to get a foot in the door.
Shannon G. · Master Coach · Staffing and Recruiting · February 8, 2025
For the the price I think it lacks in design and it doesn't offer a huge template library, For creatorsit does offer an autorecommendation feature to help everyone grow their list.
Pros: This platform is great for growing your audience regardless of where you're starting in the process. It's fairly easy to use and the analytics are decent. There are a various opt-in forms, landing pages to design from, and you run paid subscriptions.
Cons: The email editor is really basic and it may be challenging to the uneducated designer. The editor lacks the options to design a stunning email newsletter. There isn't a mobile app so you can't do anything on the go.
Jacqueline C. · Brand Designer · Design · January 14, 2025
Pros: Kit is so intuitive and easy to use especially for this technologically impaired Gen X user!
Cons: There's nothing that I don't like about Kit!
Kimberly G. · Owner · Alternative Medicine · January 8, 2025
ConvertKit is a good tool for email marketing, but it's expensive.
Pros: ConvertKit is easy to use and has a lot of features. I like the segmentation and automation features.
Cons: ConvertKit is more expensive than some other email marketing tools. Some features are only available on the more expensive plans.
Rachel M. · Digital Campaign Executive · Marketing and Advertising · November 12, 2024
it was a mixed experience, i did not use it for that long, but changed to a different service after a few months
Pros: easy to use, simple, and effective UI. A newbie could use it
Cons: images were not organized properly, and the email messaging got a little confusing
