AOL used to be great but it seems it never got with the times. GMAIL is far more superior given it does not have the refreshing issues.
Pros: I have been an AOL user for almost my entire life. It is very user friendly and was the only email I used until a few years ago when I got a GMAIL.
Cons: My inbox has an issue that I can go days on end without it updating. Even if I keep refreshing it, it will not load the messages. This is not all the times but the variance is very frustrating.

My overall experience with AOL Mail has been very favorable. I highly recommend its service to anyone. It is easy to learn. The learning curve is short.
Pros: What I like most about my AOL Mail is the ability to organize emails into subfolders. This allows for much better organization of files related to the same subject or author. In turn, I am able to retrieve email strings or have an increased continuity of thought. I also like the search feature. I can search by key words and all the relative emails will populate for ease of searching. AOL also captures potential spam mail into its own folder. This allows me to review and delete bad content or allow it into my inbox if I choose.
Cons: I do not like the "junk" email that I get. Just like regular email it is annoying and time consuming to remove.

AOL Mail is the way to go if you want to send/receive emails immediately. They actually spam filter unlike other mailing options.
Pros: I think my favorite thing about AOL Mail is the value for money! I’ve never had better customer support, email management and spam filtering. It is unbeatable! I have had no learning curve, or bugs and issues. Calendar Integration is top of the line.
Cons: I have yet to experience any issues with AOL Mail. I have used the software for 2+ years and no cons to report!

Pros: la semplicità dell'interfaccia, con le mail non lette ben evidenziate e la possibilità di etichettarle
Cons: Il fatto che abbiano deciso di mettere un limite all'archivio mail di circa 15 gb..implementazione che potevano evitare

My overall experience with AOL Mail has been steady and reliable for basic email needs. It’s a simple platform that gets the job done without much complexity, which makes it easy to use on a daily basis. The interface is straightforward, and managing emails is fairly intuitive, especially for users who prefer a more traditional setup. That said, the experience can feel a bit dated compared to newer email services. While it performs well for sending, receiving, and organizing emails, it lacks some of the advanced features and seamless integrations that modern platforms offer. Occasional slowdowns or minor glitches can also interrupt the flow at times. Overall, AOL Mail is a dependable option for users who value simplicity and familiarity, but it may not fully meet the expectations of those looking for a more modern, feature-rich email experience.
Pros: $79
Cons: $7a

Great, been using it for over 20 years and never plan to get rid of it. Wish more email carriers had the same options for simplicity.
Pros: I love AOL mail. It's just stright forward and easy to use. i wish the newer options like Google and Outlook kept it simple like AOL.
Cons: Most people don't like when you use AOL becuase it doesnt have all the features like Google. But I like the simplicity,

Pros: AOL mail holds some sort of nostalgic value for me. It is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the internet.
Cons: Well, it lets SPAM through, it has a lot of ads, and the advanced features are very, very limited...

I love using AOL and especially going into the various chat rooms to find people to chat with even thou I believe half the people you talk to online are spam.
Pros: The best feature about AOL is the fact that whenever you get mail, the software literally says, Youve got mail. I have always loved that future.
Cons: The amount of pop ups I would get sometimes since AOL was a thing of the 1990s and early 2000s, sometimes spam would pop up alot.

Free to a very low cost to have an account. The storage capacity is large and helpful to find old files
Pros: The monthly price is low. The calendar is easy and simple to use. There is a virus protection, spam blocker and easy to navigate
Cons: There are a lot of ads, spam blocker doesn't work all the time. Times out and there are glitches that need attention.

I am very pleased with this service and the fact that its been reliable for so many years. I feel secured having this email
Pros: I’ve had my account for 15 years and have never had an issue of hacking plus it gives me security by having a backup contact
Cons: There are instances where junk mail will go into my regular inbox so it does get tiring filtering whats good and not but that happens with all email companies

I had it for a long time but i gave up on it when gmail came out.. I hope aol makes a come back, that would be good for sure
Pros: value for money, spam filtering, e mail marketing, it was the big t hing and i used to like the chat rooms a lot.
Cons: gmail is better, I think i used aol when it was the big thing but it is not popular any more. I think i was using the name [sensitive content hidden]

Pros: I miss aol in general it was one of the first email systems to ever come out.
Cons: I didn’t like that I got locked out my old account and still have no way to get back in

It was a great service for as long as I had it I had a good experience with it in the beginning but it's it's a good service now I just have two others that I use instead
Pros: AOL Mail was a good service it was easy to log into I loved it that you got mail message when we got an email which was nice I guess that's the only Pro I can think of could have been a while since I've had it
Cons: It lacked advanced features that other providers did but I just assumed that's because it was one of the first email providers I needed more advanced features so that's why I switched to another provider

I have had AOL mail for 20 years. My large complaint is the amount of junk mail. It deters me from wanting to keep it for my primary mailbox.
Pros: Mailbox layout and categories are useful.
Cons: AOL does not filter spam mail at all it I get an excessive amount of junk mail.
Brandi J. · Hairstylist and owner · Consumer Services · February 20, 2025
Pros: Aol Mail is easier for email marketing and mailing clients, it allows multi sending of emails.
Cons: Part of yahoo mail and works effective compared to others
Pat B. · Advisor · Information Technology and Services · February 7, 2025
At the time it was fine, I had a hotmail account and a gmail account as well. Eventually phased out the aol and hotmail accounts.
Pros: I used AOL mail many years ago, it was easy to use and free.
Cons: This was back in the days of dial up and it was slow. These days it is just not professional.

AOL is nostaligic and is great free option for personal email especially having had it since day 1. Im noy wanting to have to give people i have corrosponded with thru that email for so many years (and who are now elderly and not good with change) a new email for me. The simplicity of it is helpful for using it in that manner. I have had a huge amount of spam that doesnt automatically get filtered to the spam box which is a nuisance. Also i get free version so more and more advertisememts are happening.
Pros: AOL is simple and basic really easy to navigate. It is compatible with older devices. It has unlimited storage and it is free.
Cons: It doesnt suppprt fingerprint or facial recognition for log in security being an older platform. I dont feel the security is there like GMAIL has and i tend to get alot more spam.
Shelly O. · DSPCaregiver · Hospital & Health Care · January 16, 2025
Pros: Communication is made easy with Aol mail because it's Open and information can be sent anywhere at anytime
Cons: Aol mail has no feature to debate on because of their functionality.

Overall, I have been satisfied with AOL mail. If I had not been, I would not have been using it for the past 20+ years. It does exactly it is intended to do, it sends and receive emails. There's not all the extra bells and whistles that some of the other email applications offer however I don't need the bells and whistles at this time. It also does a great job at organizing my emails and putting the correct emails in the spam folder. I highly recommend AOL Mel for beginners, such as my grandmother who just recently got an actual email address for the first time. It's very user-friendly!
Pros: First of all.. who can forget the sound of "you've got mail" from the 90's. It use to give me butterflies in my stomach. I have kept my same AOL email address for over 20 years & still use it today! Easy to access through the app on my cell phone as well as my laptop.
Cons: Face it. AOL mail is a little behind the times in the options it offers. But it's free, efficient & still works perfectly fine for sending & receiving emails.

Pros: Altri ricordi di altri tempi ma l'ho sempre utilizzato
Cons: che su alcune cose c'era bisogno di miglioramenti

Overall, I had a great experience with AOL mail considering it's direct approach to email service and massive storage capacity.
Pros: The fact that the software has a simple design which makes it simple to navigate through.
Cons: It has less advanced features compared to its competitors like gmail or outlook.

I used to have great experience with aol but I have recently stopped using it due to someone stealing my identity 3x.
Pros: I used to like AOL when I used it as my primary email. It was easy to navigate and separate.
Cons: I stopped using AOL because I was getting too many people stealing my accounts .
