Pros: Ease of opening, ease of setup, ease of use, high value for money. Fast and reliable. Credit card with high plafond easy to get. Easy to integrate.
Cons: not a real issue, ,but customer support works like more an app than a bank, with support tickets and not a real interaction, but all issues were solved
Renato R. · CEO · Business Supplies and Equipment · April 8, 2026
Pros: Thought it was very simple and had a clean dashboard. So easy to send and receive money. Simple to use.
Cons: I think writing this section is a force. I really love a lot about what Mercury provides and as a free service it's hard to have something I'm not a fan of if it works properly. Maybe the bank name not being "Mercury" is confusing when linking my bank somewhere

Cons: Receiving transfers in foreign currencies has higher costs, but that's pretty much the only negative.

Mercury has been a solid choice for day-to-day banking operations. It works particularly well for startups and small teams that want a simple, clean, and reliable system without the friction of traditional banks. The platform is very easy to use, and core functions like payments, account management, and integrations are handled smoothly. It saves time and reduces operational overhead, especially when managing recurring payments and basic financial workflows. That said, it is not a full replacement for more advanced financial infrastructure. As the business grows, the lack of deeper reporting, credit products, and more robust financial tools becomes noticeable. Overall, Mercury is excellent for early-stage and growing companies, but may require complementary tools or banking relationships as complexity increases.
Pros: Extremely clean and intuitive UI. Easy to navigate even for non-finance users Fast setup and onboarding compared to traditional banks Great for managing multiple accounts and basic cash flow visibility Smooth integrations with tools like Stripe and accounting platforms No hidden fees and transparent structure
Cons: Limited advanced financial features compared to traditional banks Reporting and analytics are basic, not ideal for deeper financial management Customer support is good but not always immediate for complex issues Not suitable for companies needing lending, credit lines, or more sophisticated treasury tools

Overall i am very happy with it. If you run a startup its been everything I hoped it woupd be, so woupd recommend
Pros: Ease of use. Generally its all very intuitive and easy to setup and use. Its everything i was hoping it would be.
Cons: I did struggle trying to isolate a specific range of time while i was logged in on a mobile device, so there is that.

We've been using Mercury since we started the company. Overall, I have found the platform easy to use. They have done a nice job of expanding the feature set to include things I actually need. I've had some hiccups getting Xero configured with it, but it works fine now (other than the Treasury account). I recommend it to all my founder friends.
Pros: Works like a modern technology company, whereas most banks are difficult and unintuitive. It's also great that they don't have any hidden fees or transfer fees. It's super easy to give cards to new team members.
Cons: It would be nice if our checking account earned a modest interest rate instead of having to park cash in the treasury account.

My overall experience has been exceptional. As an e-commerce brand focused on growth, we need financial tools that work smoothly in the background. Mercury delivers exactly that. The platform is highly intuitive, making daily tasks like banking, deposits, and expense management effortless. I am very satisfied with how much time their proactive tech saves us. It is the perfect banking partner for modern brands that want to focus on scaling rather than administrative tasks.
Pros: Opening the account was incredibly easy and convenient. The technological edge is highly noticeable and saves our team a massive amount of manual work. It honestly feels like they anticipated every single banking feature we would need before we even realized we needed it.
Cons: I have not encountered any downsides so far. The platform has been completely frictionless for our daily operations.

Highly recommend if you are a US Business owner, especially living abroad. This is your core financial stack.
Pros: Modern banking platform for Modern companies! - Ease of Use 10/10 , Straightforward Invoicing and integrations with accounting and expense management tools!. Never had a problem with customer service especially as a Non-resident founder.
Cons: Lack of phone support but email support gets response in a reasonable time frame. No other downsides really.
Raj K. · CEO · Human Resources · April 1, 2026
As a startup owner, the balance so far has been positive. I have a perfect connection with my Stripe account and my accounting account (Zoho Books), I use the app easily, and I feel that my company's money is safe.
Pros: The ease of use of the platform, which is 100% self-managed, the clear way in which it displays information (texts and graphics) and the classification work that it saves me with the AI tools.
Cons: The inability to have quick access to a human advisor and the app's outages during the period I've been using it.
Santiago E. · CEO · Marketing and Advertising · April 1, 2026
Best banking experience I have had as a founder. Most business banking feels like it was designed to slow you down. Mercury feels like someone actually thought about who is using it.
Pros: Opening the account took a few hours and the whole process was almost fun. The app is genuinely good, not just functional. I have recommended it to a lot of founders and every single one has thanked me for it.
Cons: International payments are not that great. You end up using Wise on the side which adds a step. Small thing considering how well everything else works, but worth knowing.
Teemu R. · Founder · Fund-Raising · March 31, 2026
Mercury has been a great banking partner for our business. It streamlines financial operations and removes a lot of the complexity you'd typically deal with at a traditional bank. The dashboard gives a clear overview of cash flow, and the ability to manage multiple accounts easily is a big plus. I'd recommend it to any startup or small business looking for a modern banking solution.
Pros: Mercury makes business banking incredibly simple and intuitive. The interface is clean and modern, making it easy to manage accounts, send payments, and track transactions without any friction. Setting up the account was fast, and the overall user experience is far better than traditional banks. The integrations with accounting tools save a lot of time on bookkeeping.
Cons: There aren't many downsides. Occasionally, customer support response times could be a bit faster, but once you get a response, the team is helpful and knowledgeable. It would also be nice to see more advanced invoicing features in the future.

Overall average I wanted results in my fraud case and they keep telling me that they haven’t heard from the bank yes
Pros: They are fast at getting back to you and attempting to resolve issues. They respond well although not enough clarity given.
Cons: They do not put enough pressure on other banks. I have fraud and they haven’t done enough to pressure the other bank
Shawn L. · Ceo · Real Estate · March 31, 2026
Pros: Ease of use is strong on Mercury. I can just get in and get out. I can focus on my business over how the financials are tracked.
Cons: Navigating to the invoices is always a bit unintuitive. I likely use this as the highest frequency feature and I would love to see it closer to the top or center of my screen.
Mansi P. · Senior Software Engineering Leader · Information Technology and Services · March 31, 2026
Our overall experience with Mercury has been excellent. It has significantly improved the efficiency of our financial operations, especially for an international business structure. The platform is reliable, user-friendly, and well-suited for companies that need agility and simplicity in banking. The fast and responsive customer support is also a strong differentiator. Mercury has become an essential tool in our daily activities.
Pros: Mercury has been extremely helpful for our operations. The platform is very practical, intuitive, and easy to use on a daily basis. Transactions, expense tracking, and account management are straightforward and efficient. Additionally, customer support is outstanding, whenever I need assistance, the team responds quickly and resolves issues promptly.
Cons: So far, we have not experienced any significant issues. The platform meets our expectations very well. Minor improvements could be made in expanding integrations and additional reporting features, but nothing that impacts our daily operations.
Danilo F. · Executive Director · Retail · March 31, 2026
Pros: I truly have not found anything I don't like about Mercury. It has been a perfect fit for me and scaling my business. Specifically invoice management is smooth and effortless for my customers.
Cons: I have had no significant hang ups that cause me any frustration. Mercury as an app fits my needs and the UX is exceptional.
Matt H. · Founder and CEO · Management Consulting · March 31, 2026
Very good experience, every new company I'm creating is defaulting into Mercury as our bank. I can't think of an alternative
Pros: The best online bank there is, built for speed, great dashboard, great multiple account management and user management.
Cons: Dispute department used to be bad but now they're good. IO credit cards can't be charged from different accounts within Mercury which is frustrating. Also it misses a feature for an employee to create payment pending approval by a manager
Nadav B. · CEO · Computer & Network Security · March 31, 2026
Mercury is probably one of the simplest banking apps I’ve used. Everyone I show is really impressed how easy it is and how it makes day to days tasks so much easier.
Pros: Expenses are nearly instant, as soon as a transaction occurs it shows up on the account and a receipt can be uploaded
Cons: The only thing I don’t like about mercury is the transaction list is broken down by days. If you export it you can get a simpler list.
Mitch B. · Natural Gas Odorization Engineer · Oil & Energy · March 31, 2026
I have been using Mercury for over a year now and so far my experience has been excellent. The platform has all the tools any business could possibly need and my favorite feature is the ability to create debit and create cards as needed.
Pros: Mercury has by far the best user experience out of all the fintech and digital banking platforms I've tried before. I love it's ease of use, user interface, and navigation.
Cons: I am yet to encounter something that's considered a 'con' with Mercury. At this moment the only thing I wish can added is the ability to link debit or credit cards to specific checking or savings account.
Ayoub C. · CEO · Media Production · March 31, 2026
very good, not much to complain and it's a good banking service for startups in particular esp. if you don't deal with cash and like to use an app for banking
Pros: The app works well, and is free. the treasury rates are good so good place to park fundraising cash (esp for startups because unlocking good rates often requires high minimum balances and Mercury's limits worked for us). Onboarding via stripe atlas was smooth.
Cons: Lack of support for foreign currencies (GBP in particular for us as we do business in the UK) can make dealing with foreign payments challenging.
Ville K. · CEO · Research · March 31, 2026
The overall experience is Amazing. The app and website are really simple to use. The support chat is easy to use, and agents are responsive and helpful!
Pros: I love the simplicity of the app and the overall service. I can have Multiple sub-accounts- business and personal. I get high Credit limits! The Expense Breakdown is brilliant, and the visualisation of the categories is also amazing.
Cons: The one thing I like the least is how confusing the IO credit limit is. I find it hard to understand how it works, but the auto-repaying makes it really easy to ensure I don't overpay on interest or miss a credit repayment date. The international fees can be really high for both sending money to international accounts and paying internationally also has high fees.
Vladi L. · CEO · Health, Wellness and Fitness · March 31, 2026
Pros: Using Mercury as your business bank comes with a clear advantage: it’s genuinely pleasant to use. The interface is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, making everyday financial tasks—like sending payments, issuing invoices, or tracking cash flow—feel intuitive instead of tedious. Compared to traditional banking platforms that often feel outdated or cluttered, Mercury prioritizes clarity and speed, which saves time and reduces friction in your workflow. For founders and small teams, this ease of use translates into better financial visibility and less mental overhead, allowing you to focus more on building your business rather than managing your bank.
Cons: One downside of using Mercury is that, while it excels in simplicity and design, it doesn’t always offer as many benefits or financial tools as some more traditional or full-service banks. Features like lending options, credit lines, cash deposits, and certain advanced treasury or investment products can be limited or unavailable, which may become a constraint as your business grows. Additionally, compared to competitors that bundle perks like rewards programs, higher-yield accounts, or integrated expense management, Mercury can feel relatively barebones. For startups with more complex financial needs or those looking to maximize financial upside through banking perks, this lack of depth can be a meaningful trade-off.
Hengyi W. · Founder · Design · March 31, 2026
Really good, never have a real big problem. May it's hard to have cash because we never have the physical card. It would be my only complain.
Pros: Is simple to open and account, and easy to manage all the products in the web. Have a really good customer service.
Cons: Don't offer credits to companies. Sometimes we have a delay in payments and even having a contract there is no way to have this money in front. Two times I asked for a physical card in my country, it never gets delivered.
Gonzalo G. · Director · Entertainment · March 31, 2026
It has been great so far and would highly recommend. It is very easy for someone that has limited experience in banking
Pros: Very user friendly and has made our startup banking incredibly easy. I have now opened 2 businesses on this and also referred others. The user interface is beyond easy.
Cons: I wish there was better tracking with invoices in the system and reconciling or received payments. This happens on quickbooks but Mercury's interface is much better
Dara V. · CEO Managing Partner · Financial Services · March 31, 2026
Great overall experience—easy to use, fast onboarding, and reliable banking. Clean interface and smooth transactions. Would benefit from stronger GTM support, partnerships, and more founder-focused fundraising resources
Pros: Easy to use, intuitive interface, smooth onboarding, seamless banking, and fast transactions and trustable.
Cons: Limited support for GTM collaboration and partnerships, would like more founder enablement here. It would be great if this were improved.
Nivathan S. · Founder and CEO · Information Services · March 30, 2026
Best online bank I've worked with for business. I have also signed up for their personal product which seems good, but not significantly better than schwab.
Pros: Free wire transfers, ACH. I'm not nickled and dimed on fees. Lots of helpful features like invoices, reimbursements, etc. The card cashback is nice.
Cons: There's no phone support for urgent issues. I've had situations where it would have been really helpful to speak with someone on the phone, but I had to send a message instead.
