Blackbaud Tuition Management

Pros: The ease of use and having a representative that communicates with you about issues or new updates.

Cons: The system seems to get bogged down and moves very slow. Timing out after only about 5 minutes of not using.

Pros: The system is very easy to use and learn.

Cons: The customer statements are not super easy for the customer to understand.

Pros: I liked how user friendly it was for the most part.

Cons: I'm not able to think of anything I didn't like at this point

Pros: [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and the customer support team are OUTSTANDING. Really. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has saved my life/job/mental state SO MANY times with her calm, cool and complete ability to fix my world. She responds to the dumbest inquiries with patience and professionalism. She is careful to always explain things and never signs off until I really "get it." I appreciate her so sincerely. The ONLINE Chat feature is CRITICAL. I use it so much and your customer service team is really REALLY Grade A.

Cons: The training for the education side and integrating contracts was problematic.

Pros: The ability to upload billing data. Being able to see details billing on the system.

Cons: The reporting side is bad. Very hard to customize reporting. Also how long it takes for funds to be settled and transferred to our bank. It appears Blackbaud holds onto funds much longer than they should.

Pros: BBTM is very easy to use and very intuitive. You can go back to the previous school years and find fast all the data you need.

Cons: The invoices are not clear and very difficult to understand. Parents call often to complain and ask questions as even for them they are difficult to comprehend. Third Party Payers names cannot be added on them.

Pros: I feel that the software is user friendly for both the school and parents. The point and click features are useful and the broad range of payment options makes it easier on parents. I like that I have the option to create and customize reports, perform SSI reports and manage my account myself.

Cons: I do not like that the email parents feature cannot be customized. I feel this can look too generic, especially if the communication is of high importance. I understand that accounts are family based, but I would like to have the option to view more in student based accounts. Specifically, reporting and accounting would be easier for year end in student billing.

Pros: Once I have everything input for the school year, it pretty much runs itself as long as you do not have to make any changes. It is easy to check families payments and balances.

Cons: Have not been able to configure a single Custom report on my own. Cannot make my way through all the steps to come up with info I am wanting. Also, changing a payment plan absolutely drives me crazy because you lose the first months if you change after the payment year begins!!! I really do not like that part at all.

Pros: It is user friendly and has many options for different reports

Cons: I would like to be able to email an invoice through the communications tab to all customers when necessary. Currently can not send to customers who are on automatic payment. Occasionally a payment will fail and they owe a balance or I may add a new fee and want to send a revised bill. It is a huge disadvantage to not be able to do that. Please see if this request can be fulfilled

Pros: Ease of use, dashboard to highlight potential issues, Buy Now/Give Now are great features for tracking events that include ticket sales, etc and provide ease of payment for purchases and donations.

Cons: solution for invoicing childcare fees billed weekly vs tuition that is billed monthly could be better

Pros: This software is very user friendly for both admin users and parents to clearly see what their charges are and gives parents options for different payment methods.

Cons: The hardest part about this software is that there is not posting dates, so it can be hard to integrate smoothly with Financial Edge.

Pros: I like how user friendly the system is. The reports are so easy to create.

Cons: This software is great in general and I truly happy with everything.

Pros: With the help of my Blackbaud Tuition Management rep, things run smoothly.

Cons: School assigned Student IDs do not transfer year over year which is annoying. Also the tuition allocation is not divided based on charges and has to be changed by your team every year.

Pros: Makes what could be an incredibly involved billing process, simple

Cons: The ease of reading statements and understanding the details on accounts from the parent perspective could be improved

Pros: Very easy to set up billing to reach both customers as well as recording on our General Ledger.

Cons: More customization - parents are confused when seeing "Blackbaud" on statements and emails.

Pros: The product is easy to use. Generating reports is an important aspect of this software.

Cons: I am still learning new tasks now that Blackbaud is providing webinars on different tasks. These webinars are very helpful.

Cons: I have to batch and manually enter all student fess/discounts. The name changed. It confused lots of families!

Pros: The amount of detail I can record in the system.

Cons: All the manual entries. It would seem there would be a way to import data and the system should be intuitive enough to disperse billing.
