Overall, my experience with Hubstaff has been positive. It’s a useful tool for time tracking, productivity monitoring, and managing remote work. Once you get used to the platform, it becomes very straightforward and helps keep work organised and accountable. I would recommend it to teams or individuals looking for an efficient way to track work and manage projects.
Pros: What I liked most about Hubstaff was how easy it was to track time and stay organised. The interface is simple to use, and I liked being able to monitor productivity without things feeling too complicated. It also made managing tasks and work hours much more efficient, especially when working with remote teams.
Cons: One thing I liked least was that some of the features can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially for new users. The mobile app could also be improved slightly to make navigation smoother and more user-friendly.

Great! Was easy to use and understand, though recording my screen the whole time felt a little invasive, but I was able to mitigate this by pausing and restarting the timer when I needed a break.
Pros: I liked how easy it was to track time for different projects, as I just needed to start and end the timer as necessary. The time tracker did not interfere with my work, and I was able to go about my tasks as usual.

-10/10. doesn't even register on the scale. There is zero benefit to this tool for a role that is results driven (sales/BD)
Pros: Not a bloody thing. Salaried employees (Sales/Business Development) within our organization are now punished if we are not in front of a screen. How many deals are sold punching keys?
Cons: babysitting and micromanaging professionals 101. For roles like sales, Business development - it is more important to have screen time rather than build relationships (you know actual results). Spare me the "manual" entry BS - that's what a CRM is for.

Overall, my experience with Hubstaff has been good. It has helped improve accountability and productivity in my company. While it’s not specifically a security tool, it does contribute to better control and visibility over how company PCs are being used.
Pros: What I like most about Hubstaff is how it helps me monitor employee activity and track time accurately across all company PCs. It gives clear insights into productivity, screenshots, and app usage, which helps ensure that devices are being used properly and securely during work hours.
Cons: What I like least is that some employees may feel uncomfortable with the level of monitoring, especially the screenshot feature. Also, the interface could be more intuitive in some areas, and the reporting features could offer more customization.

5 Stars is the score I would like to give it. I haven't had any problems with it. I am able to work it just fine.
Pros: It's easy to find what I need. I am good with the terms and conditions of Hubstaff. I think it will work fine for me.

I’ve been using it for the past four years, and it’s been incredibly helpful. It has enabled me to manage and oversee the work of a global team, ensuring that our clients’ projects are completed properly and on time.
Pros: Hubstaff offers an intuitive user experience. You can usually find your way around without any support. If you ever feel stuck, their help pages are clear and genuinely useful. And if you still need assistance, their support team is responsive and helpful. They also continue to roll out new features based on client feedback, which shows they listen and keep improving the platform.
Cons: They may need to add more reports, which they’ve been working on, as I keep seeing new ones being added over time.

Overall, my experience with Hubstaff has been positive. It’s a reliable tool for tracking time, and monitoring productivity. While there are a few minor drawbacks, it delivers strong performance and is especially useful for remote work environments.
Pros: Hubstaff is very easy to use and makes time tracking simple and accurate. I really like the automatic time tracking, activity monitoring, and detailed reports, which help improve productivity and accountability. The team management and collaboration features are also helpful, especially for remote jobs. It integrates well with other tools and provides good value for money.
Cons: The mobile app could be improved, and there are occasional syncing or performance issues. Some advanced features are only available in higher-priced plans, which may not be ideal for small teams.

Overall, it's a helpful tool and and with great features. Easy to navigate and install on your computer.
Pros: Hubstaff is a very useful tool for Time tracking, and very easy to use to be able to have a good task management.
Cons: Taking screenshots every 5minutes, though it's necessary to see the working in progress but still seems a bit too much. Maybe can consider 10 minutes interval.

I'm enjoying it a lot! It helps our team to be organized. It's super nice that we can link it with payment websites like Wise and PayPal.
Pros: We can organize the team x projects and have projects timesheet. Love it! Checking the project hours is gold!
Cons: I would like to have a place to add the last day for the employee use hours for a project. Like this, we have a deadline set up, and don't worry about checking it.
Anyny G. · Ops Coordinator and Exec Admin · Executive Office · February 25, 2026
Pros: Easy to use, options if you forget to log time, easy to keep track of productivity, accurate measurement of items completed with ability to customize time logs if I was away from desk
Cons: Signs out a lot, slight lag in uploading worktime to interface that doesn't always update in real time. Pauses sometimes without notice causing missed logged hours

Pros: It makes payroll a breeze by tracking hours automatically. The automated reports are super helpful for seeing where the day goes and keeping projects on budget.
Cons: The activity percentages and screenshots feel invasive and sometimes can be too much for your team to bear.

Overall experience is good. Helps with time tracking, team management, and improving productivity. You can view screenshots of team members PC
Pros: It is easy to use and helps track time accurately. It helps to evaluate the team productivity. Reports are useful and work well for remote teams.
Cons: Sometimes app feels a bit slow, and user can be more user-friendly. Few features take time to understand, and pricing can feel high for small teams.

Aesca L. · HR - Employee Relations · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · January 19, 2026
Overall, Hubstaff is a reliable and well designed tool for time tracking and team management. It strikes a good balance between oversight and ease of use. setup is also quick and pretty straightforward.
Pros: Hubstaff is easy to use and works exactly as expected. Time tracking is simple, accurate, and runs smoothly in the background without getting in the way. It is especially great for remote teams.
Cons: Some features like activity tracking and screenshots can feel a but intrusive if not managed carefully. Customisation options for reports could be better.
Junaid E. · Manager · Hospitality · January 8, 2026
I love it. It is affordable as I’m able to only pay for the staff who actually use the app. I. An manage my overseas team conveniently.
Pros: The app helps me know who in my organization is working and what they spend their time working on. How would you trust people working from home to work when expected to work?
Cons: Some of the features I need I must pay for extra adding which adds to the total cost. The idle time should automatically never count as part of tracked time- sometimes it does!
Isaac M. · Administrative · E-Learning · December 28, 2025
Overall experience is good, popular tool gets some advantage because some people think that is is part of hubspot the giant marketing company, but the experience is nice and easy in terms of time tracking,
Pros: Nice time tracking tool, great that you can divide this project wise and you just have to press the play button to start your time tracking.
Cons: Time tracking is nice and simple but adding proofs and screenshots gets bit complicated both for the employee and reviewer.

Switching to Hubstaff this Christmas has been a total game-changer for my work-life balance. Its automated tracking lets me jump between festive family moments and tasks without worrying about my timesheet. I love how the mobile app keeps me connected while I'm out finishing my holiday shopping. Payroll was seamless, ensuring my holiday bonus arrived just in time for the celebrations. It is truly the best tool for staying productive while fully enjoying the 2025 holiday season!
Pros: The automated time tracking provides total freedom to enjoy 2025 holiday festivities without the stress of manual logs. Its seamless payroll integration ensures everyone gets paid accurately and on time for the New Year.
Cons: I would like the platform to analyze manual production time in audio or video workflows beyond keyboard and mouse activity, utilizing integrated tools to measure productivity more holistically.
SEBASTIAN D. · AI Trainer · Information Technology and Services · December 24, 2025
Hubstaff is seamlessly integrated with my client's platform, so other than hitting start/stop on the Hubstaff timer, my actual interaction with Hubstaff is minimal. And that's how a timeclock should be! I guess I wish my client gave me more work to do so I could clock in and out on Hubstaff more.
Pros: Hubstaff has been one of the most user-friendly timeclock tools I have ever used. The process of getting set up as a contractor was simple, streamlined, and straightforward. It worked flawlessly - I don't even know how their Customer Support is, because I've never had to contact them. I open the app, hit the start button, work, and hit the stop button. That's it. My hours go straight to the team and I get paid. It's automated to a level where I don't even have to talk to a person to use it. I also really appreciate that the desktop app prompted me about whether I wanted to minimize or completely close the app when I click the X.
Cons: There was one single time where my client asked me to watch a training video and Hubstaff marked me as idle while I did so. I don't think it should have, as I was doing what I was asked, but I just learned to interact more with the screen when watching training videos.

We had to use this terrible software for a year. It always made us problem with wrong timelogs, lost clockins, and mixed tasks and projects. We had to pay at least double for an employee to follow up hubstaff failures. Since they don’t offer refund we had to use it until terms end. Price is 5x more comparing to alternate better softwares.
Pros: I did not like it at all. We had terrible experience. Raised issues never solved. They forced us to use for one year.
Cons: Many Failures. It does not work properly. They also force you to use even yoi are not satisfied.Constant problems and customer service.
Emre Y. · Ceo · Food & Beverages · December 14, 2025
Pros: The automated time tracking and activity reports reduce a lot of manual follow-up, and the ability to see who’s currently clocked in helps keep operations running smoothly
Cons: The monitoring features can feel a bit intrusive for the team, and sometimes the app is slow to sync.

OVerall smooth and not much bad to eport. Everything was working just as expected. The support team was helpful and easy to get in touch in which is always great when you dont have to wait a very long time to get a real person to help.
Pros: Very good analytics , reporting and visibility. Super simple to use and sign up. managing staff / teams is direct and easy. It was real helpful to navigate through teams and employees to see what they are doing and their numbers
Cons: I would say we haven't had much issues. I remember when i've attended meeting or watched trainings since my mouse or keyboard wasn't moving it reported low activity. However i was actively talking and paying attention.
Andrew P. · Supervisor · Health, Wellness and Fitness · November 3, 2025
I think help me to have a clear breaks and lunches which are important to refresh middle of work however the moving mouse situation give an inaccurate because a call still part of my job or reading documents and they both are track as low productivity.
Pros: It is easy to set up and the tracking of time is very accurate in a way too accurate, It is easy to track activities and to check what the team is doing or did in the past. It had help me to track my steps and refresh if I did X things and get an screenshot if I forget it.
Cons: Sometimes I engage in long calls with clients and the timer stop, the fact I can still select that time be still added is fine but is a pain having to be moving a mouse when I am just hearing or giving an update.
Jennsy Suyapa F. · Paralegal · Law Practice · October 27, 2025
The software is easy to use, the reporting is not that good. For ex. "Lookup project, see time billed" does not exist. How can a time tracking software not have a simple report showing me all the time billed to one project and by who? They constantly tell you all these convoluted steps to figure it out and they expect you to spend 10 minutes everytime you want the info. Now imagine it's the end of the month and you want to bill all your clients for time spent... Hubstaff makes it worse actually.
Pros: It accurately does additions of time and tells me who recorded what so I know what to pay. That's about it.
Cons: Customer support is terribly bad. Used them 8, 9x for different things, and it was always terrible. They provide phone support if they consider you a VIP customer who spends a certain amount with them. Otherwise support is through email and their virtual-online agent which is absolutely asinine. The email agents which are ostensibly humans seem to just send you FAQ links.
