Brightpearl has been a key platform in helping us scale our ecommerce operations across multiple channels and warehouses. The automation functionality is especially powerful and has helped us significantly reduce manual processes across order management, inventory, and fulfilment. It’s a very capable ERP for growing retail businesses, particularly when integrated properly into a wider ecommerce tech stack.
Pros: Automation, order management, customer support, integrations, integration partners, functionality, control.
Cons: Reporting could be improved, however, the data within Brightpearl that is available is very good, can be exported.
Gary M. · Head of AI, Systems and Infrastructure · Retail · May 20, 2026
We've been building integrations and custom tools on top of Brightpearl for clients running their warehouses and multichannel operations (Shopify, eBay,...). The core system is rock-solid and intuitive: inventory, order routing, picking, packing, and shipping work exactly the way high-volume businesses need them to. We like it and we have built multiple tools that complete the native features.
Pros: The API is good and does most of the necessary things. It’s clean, well-documented, and reliable enough for real-time syncs, letting us build custom tools and solid integrations on top of it for our clients.
Cons: Many features available in the GUI are lacking in the API, so you have to come up with clever ways of dealing with it and learn the quirks to overcome them.

Overall we have had a wonderful experience with Brightpearl. The platform is constantly growing, improving, and expanding to add tools/functions to maximize the ability to use Brightpearl as a fully functioning system. We have had a wonderful experience with support and our account managers to get the most out of Brightpearl to uphold our business needs.
Pros: Brightpearl has a large arsenal of out of the box connections and tools to help make streamlining our business easy and effective.
Cons: Reporting and searching within the system is challenging for our team to quickly find information. Somethings we would like to see and be able to filter for our business are not easily achieved.

Top tier ERP system that once live is pretty bomb proof. No down time. Everything works as it should. Automation engine is rock solid and working with partners such as b.solutions means the platform can easily link with other tools.
Pros: easy to use system that is very intuitive to use and really speeds up our internal business processes
Cons: nothing really. the system just works and provides automated ways in which to process orders and ship goods out.

Very positive with good outcomes over the past 9 years. The systems capacities grow year on year with solutions for problems always seemingly a step ahead.
Pros: A platform capable of growing with your business, lots of added apps to increase functionality. Always moving with demand.
Cons: Not currently suited to adding manufacturing capacity and integrating with sales. Reporting systems are slightly esoteric.

Overall, my experience has been very positive. Brightpearl has improved efficiency, made daily operations easier, and comes with excellent customer support. It’s a reliable, scalable solution that supports business growth and I would definitely recommend it to other small businesses.
Pros: I really appreciate how reliable and secure Brightpearl is. Order management is smooth and well-organized, and staff management is simple and effective. The platform is intuitive and helps keep everything organized, which is perfect for a small business.
Cons: There have been very few minor bugs, but they are quickly resolved. I’d say sometimes the interface can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but it’s easy to get used to.

We've been using Brightpearl for over 13 years and could not have grown our business without it. I'd like to commend [sensitive content hidden], our technical account manager who is always available to help, with his knowledge of Brightpearl and our knowledge of our business model we work together to get the best possible outcomes.
Pros: When initially implemented it improved efficiency and transformed our very manual processes. Easy to use, reliable and customisable. Enabled our small business to grow.
Cons: Lack of development on Brightpearl itself for a few years now. Although support tickets are responded to quickly, due to the lack of dev a lot of them result in it needing a future change which are not forthcoming. The monthly pricing being based on the businesses order volumes does not feel right if both sides are not adding value to the increase in volume.

We’ve been working with Brightpearl for many years, and this year we began implementing their WMS. While the journey hasn’t been without its challenges, [sensitive content hidden] has been fantastic—consistently going above and beyond to find solutions that ensure the system works effectively for our business. Our account managers, [sensitive content hidden], have also been a pleasure to work with. They are approachable, responsive, and always supportive, making collaboration easy and productive. We have experienced a few issues with system errors recently, but [sensitive content hidden] has been proactive in addressing these and is keeping us well informed on progress and improvements.
Pros: value the partnership and appreciate the team’s dedication and support. Also like the fact that you can take care payments, and there are loads of different plug ins that can be used
Cons: Bugs the error issues can be an issue for our sales and warehouse teams, as it can sometimes take up to 5 minutes for it to come back on
VICKI E. · Deputy CEO · Retail · March 25, 2026
Overall, we are very satisfied with the software, as well as the customer service and support, which have both been reliable, responsive, and helpful whenever needed.
Pros: This system has been a major improvement for our operations. It keeps our inventory, orders, and accounting in sync, which saves us significant time and greatly reduces manual work. One of the biggest advantages for us is how well it handles backorder items—something other software we’ve used struggled with or couldn’t manage effectively.
Cons: While it does take some upfront setup to get everything aligned properly, the payoff is worth it. Once implemented, it provides clear visibility across all areas of our business and gives us confidence in our data. It has become a strong foundation for supporting our continued growth.

Pros: Brightpearl’s onboarding process is exceptionally thorough. Their team invests real effort into understanding a customer’s operational needs, and the implementation support is strong across the board—from structured training sessions to well‑coordinated customization work involving third‑party partners when needed. The Automations feature is another major advantage. It allows us to build powerful workflows using order data such as SKUs, sales channels, shipping methods, and customer history. This has enabled us to automate tasks like reviewing customer notes before fulfilment, adding promotional items with logic-based limits, and routing orders to the appropriate warehouse. I also appreciate that Brightpearl provides predictable annual software costs. In an industry where surprise renewal price hikes are common, the transparency and year‑to‑year consistency are genuinely refreshing.
Cons: The session timeout is one of the most frustrating aspects of using Brightpearl. It logs users out after a relatively short period of inactivity, which is disruptive for anyone who needs to keep the tab open throughout the day but isn’t working inside it continuously. Compounding this, the interface doesn’t automatically refresh to indicate that the session has expired, so you only discover you’ve been logged out after clicking something—a daily friction point for our entire team. The built‑in search functionality also feels quite limited, especially for users who rely heavily on quick data retrieval. Additionally, permissions could be more granular; for example, offering read‑only access to inventory location data would be extremely useful, but currently it’s an all‑or‑nothing permission.

Inventory Planner, synced with Linnworks, has made a big difference to how we manage purchasing and stock. Planning and creating purchase orders is now much easier and far more organised.
Pros: The forecasting is clear, reliable, and simple to update when needed. Stock-outs are minimal, stock holding is at a healthy level, and we no longer experience the overstocks we had in previous years before using the platform. The reports are easy to understand and give us confidence to make better buying decisions. Overall, it has saved us time, improved stock control, and made our purchasing process much more efficient.
Cons: So far, it has met my expectations in terms of functionality, performance, and usability. I’ve found it to be a valuable tool for keeping inventory levels optimized, and I haven’t encountered any issues or limitations that have negatively impacted my workflow.

Pros: Strong onboarding support, with structured weekly training that made a complex transition feel manageable. [sensitive content hidden] took time to understand how Dusk Lighting operates and ensured the system was configured to suit our business processes rather than forcing us into a rigid structure. Clear, detailed answers to questions, with practical guidance that helped us make confident decisions. Excellent knowledge of Shopify and how the two systems integrate, which was critical during migration from Visualsoft. Collaborative approach with partners such as Business Solutions and Shiptheory, ensuring smooth integration across our wider tech stack. Willingness to work through challenges and find practical solutions when issues arose. Comprehensive functionality for stock management, order processing and reporting, giving us better operational visibility. Reliable ongoing support post-launch, which provides reassurance as we continue to embed the system.
Cons: One operational limitation for us is the requirement to manually create Purchase Orders. There isn’t currently an option for a cumulative PO that builds automatically in the background based on demand. A cumulative PO would allow us to monitor value and quantities throughout the day or week, rather than being forced to create multiple POs immediately. As a result, we often generate several smaller POs daily, many of which fall below carriage-paid thresholds. Because we operate largely on a just-in-time model while also holding some stock, this has required a shift in how we manage purchasing. Merging POs while maintaining accurate auto-fulfilment can be complex, and naturally introduces potential for human error if not managed carefully. That said, this is more about adapting our internal processes to the system’s current structure than a fundamental flaw with Brightpearl.

One of the worst companies in the space that we have ever worked with. We will never recommended them
Pros: It worked but the customer service eas so awful it wasnt even close to the best option in inventory management
Cons: Over priced and awful customer service. I cant say this enough, you should run from this company....

[sensitive content hidden] has been especially helpful in aiding us better understand BP's capabilities and how the automations can best work for us. [sensitive content hidden] aided us in understanding and solving an ongoing gap in our processes. Professional and a pleasure to work with, both.
Pros: The ease of use, it may have a lot of features but how everything works together to manage our orders provides a level of fine tuned control that is absolutely requited for the scale and complexity of our operations.
Cons: It can be inconsistent. Automations running off-book, status filters not consistently displaying their contents as prescribed, the many layers of BP means that points of failure can be difficult to address.
Livi B. · Order Management Specialist · Retail · February 10, 2026
With the help of some third parties and our own custom integrations we make it work. The core software does offer a decent amount of what we need.
Pros: It does allow us to track out shipments and, with the help of some third parties, integrated with our warehouses for automated entry.
Cons: Lack of support for BOMs and inability to attach invoices. The formatting of hthe API outputs is also pretty rough and non-standard, though workable.

We have an overall very positive experience with Brightpearl, our Brightpearl Account Staff, Support Staff and integration partners!
Pros: Brightpearl has been our accounting and source of truth since 2021. We moved to the system from a larger ERP system due to its versatility, accounting capabilities and its ability to connect easily to other systems. We have found that those capabilities are still very useful today and as we change and grow as a company, we find that Brightpearl is able to accommodate those changes fluidly. In addition, Brightpearl allows the user to modify its system to accommodate its own needs through automation and system configuration. Moreover, we have been lucky to have been paired with a really great Account Manager and Technical Support manager who keep our partnership with Brightpearl running smoothly. A bonus is that the same team members have been with us basically since our start! Lastly, there is an ease to customer support as we you can enter a ticket, which is generally answered the same day if not within hours of receipt or you are able to call the service team and get a response immediately.
Cons: We have a few cons but one of them is that as a B2B and B2C seller, we have found that our reporting needs are not always met. A more robust reporting system found within the native integration and without having to connect with another system would be preferable - specifically, low stock reporting and year over year reporting could be more robust!
Rachel L. · VP Sales and Administration · Hospitality · December 18, 2025
Brightpearl by Sage has been a reliable tool for managing our day-to-day operations. It helps keep inventory, orders, and accounting in sync, which saves us time and reduces manual work. While it takes some setup to get everything aligned, once in place it provides clear visibility across our business and supports our ongoing growth.
Pros: Brightpearl’s biggest strength is how it brings inventory, orders, and accounting together in one system. The automation and real-time reporting make it easier to manage daily operations, reduce manual work, and maintain clear visibility across the business as it grows.
Cons: The main downside of Brightpearl is the initial setup and learning curve, which can be time-consuming and requires careful planning. Some workflows feel less flexible than expected, and making changes often requires support or workarounds rather than quick adjustments.

Again, easy to use so has been an easy transition to using this as our ERP platform. With a lean time with no IT team, it's been a relatively low lift. Working with [sensitive content hidden] has been great, and my experience with Arafatul at BSITC has been great as well.
Pros: It's pretty easy to use, overall. It's easy to figure out for a new user, with relatively easy navigation.
Cons: Reporting is hands down the #1 downfall. Some extremely critical reports are missing that I imagine EVERY single company would need. There should be a way to build your own report, based on all fields available within BP. That HAS to be a possibility, especially with AI these days - should mimic the Shopify reporting tool at baseline. BP is also not great for a company where data management has to be extremely streamlined and uniform. Not conducive to a company growing in size where every single detail matters and accuracy is important. It'd also be helpful to have a customer service/support chat, instead of having to submit a ticket for every small question (which then gets lost in my emails). To have access to a chat, I'd get my answers a lot quicker when I need them answered quickly. Automation rules are also complicated and difficult to figure out a lot of times - requires a lot of trial and error, which can cause problems.

Overall Brightpearl works for us and is a very stable system, so day to day operations run smoothly.
Pros: Pineapple Island use Brightpearl to streamline our business, specifically for stock management across all website channels, and it successfully solves stock issues by keeping everything in one place. We find it easy to use and easy to understand for new staff. The initial setup was easy, and we received comprehensive training throughout, which was very helpful.
Cons: Some parts of the system are outdated and there are restrictions in the amount of products you can add to a single order.
Marion K. · Operations Manager · Retail · December 15, 2025
We have been using Brightpearl since 2018 and overall we are very happy with it. It is stable, dependable, and well suited to a business like ours that wanted a strong off-the-shelf solution rather than investing in a custom-built system. Despite not being designed specifically for manufacturing, we have found practical workarounds that allow us to manage both sides of our business effectively. Brightpearl has become a core part of our operations, and it continues to support our growth with accurate stock control and clear, well-structured accounting and customer management.
Pros: Brightpearl keeps our inventory consistently accurate and gives us full confidence in our stock levels. The system is very strong for customer management, product organisation, and overall operational visibility. It connects purchasing, inventory, fulfilment, and accounts seamlessly, which makes daily work efficient. Even though we handle both ready-made products and our own manufactured goods, Brightpearl has been flexible enough to support our processes with effective workarounds.
Cons: The only drawback is that upgrades and new feature rollouts can be slow. While the system is reliable, we would love to see faster development and more frequent enhancements. However, the existing features work well for our needs.
Aisling K. · Managing Partner · Retail · December 11, 2025
Overall, our experience with Brightpearl has been positive. It’s helped us run the business more smoothly and keep our stock accurate across all channels.
Pros: Having accurate, real-time stock across all our sales channels. It's taken a lot of stress out of managing inventory and has made our workflow much smoother.
Cons: The main frustration has been the restrictions on product line quantities within individual orders. It slows things down when we need more flexibility.
Alice P. · Creative Director · Wholesale · December 11, 2025
Overall rate a 8/10 over the 9 years we have been on the platform. Would recommend for any multichannel business.
Pros: Ability to manage / process sales orders from multiple channels. (E-commerce, POS, Phone, Amazon, eBay, etc.)
Cons: Limited flexibility with product costing. No capacity to capture “landed cost” (product cost + FRT + Tariffs + Fees)
Waverly M. · President · Arts and Crafts · December 6, 2025
We've been using it for 10+ years and it's helped our business reach grow beyond what we could have done without it.
Pros: Brightpearl is very intuitive and easy to use. It syncs prices and inventory across our connected channels (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, etc). You can use different prices per channel and have multiple inventory sources and choose which ones are displayed on which channels. Order and purchase order management is straight forward. If there's something you cannot figure out, they have a a wealth of resource documents and their customer support is always happy to help as well.
Cons: The price is a little on the high side when you compare to platforms like Shopify that have affordable plans. However, Brightpearl is less expensive than many other similar systems like NetSuite for instance.
Jeff R. · Chief Operations Officer · Automotive · November 11, 2025
We were sold on Brightpearl’s promises of seamless integration with BigCommerce, automated pricing updates, and built-in reporting; none of which worked as described. We were never given a trial or hands-on demo before paying in full, so we relied entirely on sales presentations that turned out to be inaccurate. Critical features like bulk pricing syncs and Authorize.net integration failed to function, and we were misled into purchasing extra software for reporting that we later found was unnecessary. After months of back and forth, Brightpearl refused to refund the unused portion of our subscription. The product simply didn’t deliver on what was promised, and we’ve lost all trust in the company.
Pros: The concept of having one unified platform to manage inventory, orders, and sales across multiple channels sounded great in theory. The interface is fairly modern and intuitive, and the idea of connecting Brightpearl with BigCommerce initially seemed like a good fit for our business. Unfortunately, the actual functionality didn’t live up to what was promised.
Cons: Many of the core features we were sold on didn’t work as described. Bulk pricing updates to BigCommerce, Authorize.net integration, and several automation workflows were either non-functional or unreliable. We were also misled into thinking we needed to buy an additional product, Inventory Planner, for reporting that already exists in Brightpearl. Support responses were slow and repetitive, and after months of back-and-forth, we lost all trust in the platform and the company.
Robert B. · Operations Manager · Packaging and Containers · October 8, 2025
Pros: Brightpearl has improved our productivity and efficiency throughout the company. The automations and integrations have streamlined lots of our order processing processes. We have various sales channels and marketplaces we sell on and Brightpearl integrates with them, reducing hugely our labour hours. The integrated accounting system is also a great plus, as it means we do not need a seperate system for this. It makes VAT returns and bank reconciliations really straightforward. It can feel quite expensive, but we definitly feel we get value for money and it pays for itself in efficiency savings.
Cons: I would like a more powerful template builder and a native etsy integration. Would also like a more straightforward 2 factor authentication for security, which I feel is essential for a software like this.
