Overall, I use it to create documents for a range of purposes, both personally and professionally. I used it to make spreadsheets, cards, resumes, manuals etc.
Pros: The user interface is friendly and beautiful. I like as it allows to write documents offline. I like its template. It is easy to create variety of documents.
Cons: The only con I can say I have is that I never learn everything there, every update is a day of fresh knowledge.

Overall, my experience with Microsoft Word has been very positive. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and one of the best tools for creating professional documents, reports, and letters.
Pros: I like how easy Microsoft Word makes it to create, edit, and format professional documents. The templates, formatting tools, and collaboration features are very helpful for everyday work.
Cons: Some formatting can shift unexpectedly between devices or versions, and advanced features can take time to fully learn.

Pros: The original product and still beats out all competitors. So user friendly and so many additional features available.
Cons: Some features are hidden or not hidden easy to find, such as the developer tab. But if you are willing to explore and implement, the features are great

It still remains essential for writing and preparing contracts, reports, or different work documents.
Pros: The software is complete and works well for both simple documents and much more detailed files. Compatibility with different formats is also a real advantage in a professional environment.
Cons: With very heavy documents or files containing a lot of integrated elements, the software can take some time to start depending on the PC’s RAM.

Great experience, have used it from a young age and will continue to do so. Microsoft Word has many features and functionalities for both graohic and texts based tasks, at also a great price.
Pros: Microsoft Word is still my go-to platform for text-based collaborations. The layout of the site has been continuous through the years, which makes tasks simple to achieve in a timely manner.
Cons: Microsoft Word still has its creative limitations, with images and blocks fiddly to work with. This also becomes a bigger problem when working with multiple pages and plays havoc with the layout of the document.

It is dependable, easy to use, and flexible enough for both simple documents and more detailed professional work. The formatting, editing, and collaboration tools make it useful for daily business tasks and document management.
Pros: What I like most about Microsoft Word is how easy it is to create professional documents quickly. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and works well for everything from simple notes to detailed business reports.
Cons: What I like least about Microsoft Word is that frequent updates sometimes change menus and formatting tools, which can slow down workflow and make familiar features harder to find.

Word is better than any of the alternatives in my experience. It is pricey, but you pay for a functionality that makes work easy!
Pros: Microsoft word is functional on the desktop and web version. While the desktop is perhaps more familiar and better ux, they work interchangeably. Easy to have team collaboration by tracking changes and comments as well.
Cons: I dislike the price point... I have thought Microsoft software has been priced extremely high that if it wasn't covered by a corporation, it would be tough to stomach.

Microsoft Word continues to be one of the most practical tools for formal documentation and structured business communication.
Pros: It’s widely adopted, easy to use, and suitable for both simple and complex documents. Compatibility across teams ensures consistency and smooth collaboration.
Cons: Some collaborative editing experiences still feel less intuitive compared to newer document-first platforms.

Overall, my experience with Microsoft Word has been very positive. It’s a dependable and professional tool that makes creating documents simple and efficient. While there can be occasional formatting frustrations, the wide range of features and reliability outweigh the downsides. It works well for everything from basic letters to more detailed reports, and I feel confident using it for both personal and professional projects. Overall, it’s a solid program that consistently gets the job done.
Pros: What I like most about Microsoft Word is how easy and reliable it is to use for all types of documents. Whether I’m writing a quick letter, creating a detailed report, or formatting a professional proposal, Word has all the tools I need in one place. The formatting options are simple to navigate, and I really appreciate features like templates, spell check, grammar suggestions, and the ability to easily insert tables and images. It saves me time and helps my documents look clean and professional every time. Overall, it’s a dependable program that makes writing and editing much more efficient.
Cons: What I like least about Microsoft Word is that some of the advanced formatting features can feel overwhelming or confusing at times. When documents have complex layouts, spacing or formatting can shift unexpectedly and take extra time to fix. I also find that certain tools are buried in menus, which can make them harder to find if you don’t use them often. Additionally, the subscription cost can be a downside compared to free alternatives. While it’s a powerful program, it can sometimes feel more complicated than necessary for simple tasks.

Microsoft Word is used in my everyday tasks. I really think my experience has been rewarding and positive.
Pros: I enjoy using Microsoft Word. I type a lot of appeal letters to insurance company and over all in my job duties. I love that it can be incorporated with so many different softwares.
Cons: I have no complaints about Microsoft Word there products always meet my business needs. Microsoft is the best software for the buck.

Pros: Microsoft Word is the best platform to use for writing and editing. It's obviously the most well known, but the functionality that it has is top notch.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is that i wish it were easier to transfer projects from excel over to word. When you try to copy and paste things over they tend to lose formatting.

I liked microsoft word until I found other programs to create documents that were easier to use and easier to share.
Pros: Microsoft Word was the first software I used to create documents. I liked how it helped me to create simple documents for my job in estate planning.
Cons: I would often struggle with the formatting in Microsoft Word. It seems I would get stuck with spacing or would have trouble if I needed two columns or different margins.
Kelly P. · Director of Admissions · Education Management · May 2, 2026
Overall Word is my go to as it is reliable and familiar to myself and peers. It makes jobs that would be time consuming and streamlines my workflow using prebuilt templates, text editing tools, and many other tools to get jobs done in a timely and professional manor.
Pros: I like that this is the most commonly used document creating tool. It is great because it makes documents look polished with minimal effort. I love all the templates it has making my job so much easier.
Cons: I do find it difficult to keep proper formatting between different versions of word. Sometimes when trying to collaborate and track changes things get a little confusing.
Jeff R. · Project Manager · Construction · May 1, 2026
Fantastic program with so many options for your document preparation needs. I highly recommend Microsoft Word.
Pros: Such a fantastic program for document preparation, translation of documents to another language. So many options for fonts, etc.
Cons: There's not anything that i dislike about the Microsoft word program. So no complaints or cons for me.
Lela W. · Paralegal · Legal Services · May 1, 2026
Pros: Couldn't live without it, and great value for money. We do everything on it and it's so easy. Great for new staff as everyone knows how to use it.
Cons: Nothing, it's a great product we use all the time, there's nothing I would change. Easy to use and good value.

Overall for a business, you can't complain, it's a great productivity tool and comes included with every M365 subscription. It integrates natively well with Microsoft OneDrive and is supported by almost every 3rd party application when looking to build any connections or integrations. It works as expected and a very good word processor for businesses, students, or individuals.
Pros: It is the gold standard word processor. Its been around forever and works as expected for creating and editing documents. It includes plenty of features such as adding images, shapes, tables, layouts, headers, borders, links, custom texts, etc. It comes included in every M365 subscription. There's a web application as well as a desktop application for those who prefer it. The ability to export/save as a PDF is real useful as well. Autosave natively built into it for OneDrive is very conventient as well.
Cons: Adding images and being able to arrange them exactly where you want is still a huge pain, specifically if you're trying to create an end user guide or instructions. The images jump all over the place. It does require either a basic M365 subscription or a one time license fee to use.
David N. · IT Operations Manager · Computer Software · April 30, 2026
It's fine as a word processor and helps us with quite a few other things as well. Quite expensive for what it is though
Pros: Been using microsoft word for about 25 years, and it's been a solid ride the entire time. Easy to use, easy to collaborate with your team on documents, helps with process and workflow design. Customer support from Microsoft is solid. Can be expensive
Cons: Not great value for the money. Office is more expensive than it needs to be - however it's an industry standard thats not going away

Pros: What I like most about Microsoft Word is the multiple applications it can be utilized for when it comes to text, photos, charting, etc.
Cons: What I like least about Microsoft Word is the lack of fonts available as a standard and that other ones need to be downloaded.
Matthew H. · Project Manager · Construction · April 30, 2026
Very positive and never have come around an issue that I was not able to overcome through a simple Google search.
Pros: Microsoft Word is one of those products that we've used for so long that they have become second nature to most of us. Very easy to use, easy to collaborate, and fits within workflows in the MS suite.
Cons: I don't really have any concerns about Microsoft word. Yes, once in a while you have to Google how something is done, but no complaints at all.

Overall I believe Microsoft Word to be a reliable program. It is a reliable place to write and keep information.
Pros: Microsoft Word is so reliable. It is great for sharing documents as well. It is great for team collaboration and is so easy to use. I am a huge fan of Microsoft Word. It is a tried and true program.
Cons: I do not have a negative thing to say about Microsoft Word. I truly believe the program is well made.
Raegan P. · Graphic Designer · Education Management · April 28, 2026
Overall, it has been a great experience, I use it daily to create and keep track of different things for work.
Pros: Microsoft word makes it easy to create documents for my business. I can create flyers, inventory lists, just about anything.
Cons: Sometimes if there is something I have not done on there yet, it takes me a little while to figure out how to do.
alyssa c. · manager · Health, Wellness and Fitness · April 27, 2026
Great piece of software, I use Microsoft Word on a daily basis to create reports and other work related documents. I find Copilot really useful.
Pros: Easy to create a range of documents with the ability to adapt it to company colours and templates. Widely used within our organisation and have been personally using Word for approximately 25 years. The menu is easy to navigate and there is a help option available to find functions you need. The Copilot function is a great addition to the software, it can help draft documents, review documents and give suggestions on how to word important documents professionally .
Cons: Sometimes images and text boxes don't behave when moved, but this is more of a user error rather than the software.
