Our teams experience with SPS was highly positive. This is a system we would all recommend to any users.
Pros: I loved how quick and easy to use SPS Commerce was for our team to learn and implement into daily functionality.
Cons: The cost of Commerce was slightly higher than comparable products but ease of use made up for some of this.

SPS Commerce is a great platform if your business is built around retail, supply chains, and EDI. The automation, integrations, and reliability are impressive once its all set up. But it takes time, technical knowledge, and a budget that increases over time.
Pros: What I liked most was how everything lives in one place. Managing orders, invoices, and documents without jumping between systems made our workflows way more efficient and reduced a lot of manual work.
Cons: What I liked least was that it's not an intuitive platform, and the learning curve could be a bit painful, especially if you don't have a technical background. It’s also relatively expensive.

My overall experience with SPS Commerce has been good. It helps streamline order processing and data management, making daily operations more organized. The platform is reliable and integrates well with different systems. Although there are some challenges with setup and flexibility, it still works well for managing business tasks efficiently.
Pros: What I liked most about SPS Commerce is how it makes handling orders and data much easier in daily work. The integration with different systems and marketplaces works smoothly, which saves a lot of time. It feels reliable and secure, and the customer support is helpful when needed. Overall, it really helps in keeping business operations organized.
Cons: I felt that onboarding and setup can be quite slow, especially when working with new partners. Some processes are a bit complex and not very user-friendly, which makes data and order management harder than expected. At times, the system feels rigid with limited customization options. Also, customer support and issue resolution can take longer, which can affect overall efficiency.

Overall, SPS Commerce is a great solution that excels in automation, integration, and operational efficiency.
Pros: Managing orders, invoices, and documents in one place makes workflows much more efficient and reduces manual work significantly. The automation and integrations with other systems are a big advantage, especially when handling high volumes or working with multiple partners.
Cons: That said, what I don’t like is that it can be complex and not very intuitive at the beginning. There’s definitely a learning curve, and troubleshooting errors isn’t always straightforward without technical knowledge. The price is probably the biggest downside, specially for small businesses.

We do like using SPS. We've been a customer for many years. We wouldn't be still with them if they were problematic
Pros: Platform is really easy to onboard. Our Account Manager is ready to work with. They have been great to work with.
Cons: Support quality has decreased over the last couple of years. I don't know if that's a result of our migration to a new ERP or not.

Pros: Very easy portal to use and allows the end user to learn a lot about EDI and X12 communication. Customer support is friendly and effective, allows us to process many orders over the course of a week without individual manual effort. This makes speed and efficiency improvements to our internal processes.
Cons: Can be difficult to onboard new customers if the X12 format and required documents is a different transaction set than we are used to.

SPS Commerce is a great EDI solution for us, we were able to set up multiple connections with customization with the help from SPS team
Pros: - very easy to use and project/support team are very supportive - very transparent with billing and invoicing
Cons: - sps portal does not show a lot of info when it comes to troubleshooting - not easy to resolve issue quick

I have not had to reach out to anyone at the SPS Commerce site because everything has been running smoothly. Direct communication with the person from Grainger who placed the order would really be a plus.
Pros: Recent updates have made using the confirmation of orders very easy to use. The check for errors feature is a great way of making sure everything is set correctly before sending the confirmation.
Cons: The monthly cost is still pricey, but SPS Commerce has at least improved the ease of using the site.

Pros: Salesmen knows how to fool around with customers and let them purchase more useless services.
Cons: They force you pay for the trading partners that no business with SPS

We love SPS Commerce and how quick, reliable, and efficient they have made our invoicing process within our company!
Pros: SPS Commerce is very simple and reliable to use. It's invoicing system can be individualized to customer needs and meeting all of their standards and regulations and keeps things very automated for our team!
Cons: We have had a few times where the system has been kinda iffy, having to log out and back in, or do a restart. Never long lasting issues, but some small hiccups every now and then.
Aaron H. · Sales and Inventory Analyst · Consumer Goods · September 16, 2024
We really enjoy the fact that they share knowledge and help educate us on any aspect of EDI we may have a question on. We have a great partnership with them.
Pros: The people we work with and their responsiveness to our needs. [sensitive content hidden] are the greatest. It is so nice to have American based help instead of foreign call centers.
Cons: Pricing, but on the other hand you get what you pay for in the long run.

We have had a very good experience with SPS. We have used them for over 10 years and have never had any serious issues.
Pros: The friendly user interface. The quick response with questions and the chat feature.
Cons: The only issue is forms changing and maybe not letting us know.
Denise G. · Finance Director · Wholesale · September 12, 2024
Overall, my experience with SPS and their team has been excellent!!
Pros: The system itself is pretty easy to navigate. This is my first time using any kind of EDI system, so I literally knew nothing coming into it. The training modules were very clear on how to use SPS. HOWEVER, the support team in my opinion is where SPS shines. I have yet to have a question or concern that wasn't answered promptly and accurately from them. As we grow our business, it's nice to know SPS is there to support US!
Cons: I really don't have anything here. Sorry, not sorry...

Fantastic! Since leaving TrueCommerce EDI and doing all EDI transacting with SPS we have seen a huge decrease in chargebacks related to compliance, and it has more than justified the increased cost of doing business with SPS.
Pros: The ease of use and accessibility. The platform is incredibly user friendly and easy to learn, even if you are a novice with EDI. The support and quick responses and help on issues are a HUGE help as well. Being a small team, I am the only person who handles EDI, so having an expert ([sensitive content hidden] :)) I can reach out to directly and be able to assist with issues is truly wonderful. And all the folks we have worked with at SPS are so friendly, helpful, and transparent. They have helped us work through numerous issues and have provided incentive every time we grow our business with them. Thank you!
Cons: This is very specific, but with errors received on transactions, making the data easier to understand so I can try to fix myself without involving the support team, would be great. I only see code and data and that means nothing to me not having the knowledge of an EDI expert. I think it would be a great idea for SPS to have a line at the top when you click into the error that is an "error notice" and briefly explains the issue so that a non-EDI expert can understand. Also, making the entry of cross-references a bit easier as it is very clunky and constantly kicks you out of what has been entered. For example, if I click into an item to edit and then save, the page defaults back to all customers and items instead of the choices I selected to filter it out.

overall its been a positive experience but I also havent utilized other EDI platforms.
Pros: The people are amazing and always helpful.
Cons: the user face could be easier to understand and setup.
Jeff G. · Operations Director · Consumer Goods · September 10, 2024
Really great and efficient! Always helpful with any questions we have. Website/ portals are user friendly
Pros: Their customer service is great. [sensitive content hidden] has been extremely helpful whenever we have questions. She checks in on us often.
Cons: No problems! They have helped us with a user friendly system.

I use it often and seldom have problems navigating the software
Pros: Easy to navigate, I use it every day and it's multi faceted
Cons: sometimes it takes a while for customer service

Yuck!! SPS has been one of the worst business experiences and I don’t believe it has its customers best interest. I would never recommend and actually would deter anyone from working with them.
Pros: Absolutely 0 Pros. They do not care about their customers at all. Good luck if you try to work with them.
Cons: Terrible and ancient tech. Terrible and inauthentic service and care. Uneducated team.
Anthony L. · CEO · Automotive · June 26, 2024
Abysmal. Whenever we have to test a relationship that requires SPS we know it will take minimum 2 months to on board due to how slow SPS is with everything.
Pros: If you want a complete hands off and do not onboard new relationships then sure, they will be fine.
Cons: Their support is slow, their error handling is misleading, they have monopolized certain companies so you HAVE to test with SPS though you use other EDI providers. It is just a bad model for a customer and for anyone with some knowledge and understanding of EDI will find it frustrating beyond beleif .
Anonymous User · IT Admin · Consumer Goods · May 9, 2024
Unhelpful customer support and quite happy to charge for no service provided.
Pros: It is used by Chemist Warehouse and therefore we have to use it.
Cons: The Assortment module requires manually filling out a 196 column spreadsheet for all SKUs to be included. Half the columns are not applicable to certain products but cannot be left empty. It is simply not fit for purpose.
Remi B. · Managing Director · Wholesale · February 5, 2024
Overall experience has been below average and continues to decline
Pros: Not much the entire experience was lacking
Cons: Communications and Support were not responsive
Cheryl H. · EDI Coordinator · Logistics and Supply Chain · January 17, 2024
Pros: We used SPS commerec for a large client and things were fine. We tried setting them up for EDI for anoteh rlarge client and it was anightmare. We asked for pricing and only after we waited 6 weeks to get pricing and sent an email letting them know we would move on due to lack of communication did we suddenly get an email checking in. Rep had no idea what we needed although we discussed extensively when we met that we needed pricing to move forward and would wait to hear back. We signed up and got charged a LOT more money than other EDI companies. We thought we would only pay SPS but then later found out through our warehouse there would be other fees if we needed to set it up through them. Started paying monthly fees even though the warehouse never sent it up and we had to cancel. Every time we try emailing them about thsi it takes an average of 9 days to get a response.
Cons: The high Cost and Customer "service" were dissapointing.
