EHS Hero

Pros: It was a system to help with environmental health and safety issues and tracking of Claims so it was a good system to use. I don’t currently use it

Cons: I don’t recall having any issues with it mostly my NHS manager used that I work in human resources so I partnered with the DHS manager on a lot of issues

Pros: Comprehensive coverage of state regulations, which is a great improvement over the old EnviroBLR. Direct connection to regulations. Much improved user interface.

Cons: Two step log in when you hit a link. Log in credentials should be embedded in original email to allow quicker access.

Pros: EHS Hero is my go to resource for training resources whether I need to develop a new program or refresh an old program. There are a variety of resources available for either. I also find the industry news helpful for a quick glance at what is happening every day.

Cons: There are so many resources, it can be overwhelming at first but they offer training and are available for questions if you need help.

Pros: A great value for the money. Tremendous customer service and support team. EHS Hero is very easy to utilize across any organization. The Form creation option is a huge benefit for compliance regulations. User interface and contractor management is a significant benefit. Their real time notification systems helps to drive EHS improvement

Cons: I honestly did not find anything that was not relevant to the Environmental Health and Safety process.

Pros: Long videos that covered OSHA required safety training. Large selection of toolbox talks and various topics that cover a wide selection of industries.

Cons: Some of the videos were old, lethargic, and had outdated, irritating, and repetitive background music.

Pros: Love the quick hit overview of what EHS Hero has updated. As a new user in my new company, I have been really impressed with your offerings, but appreciated getting a more specific overview from you, the experts, on the site.

Cons: Nothing really. Just pretty quick in taking notes and I likely missed some of the information. Will just have to jump in and research the sections discussed.

Pros: The whole website has some great products and is very useful. I appreciate the SDS Options and also the many toolbox talks.

Cons: The OPEN House is a propaganda show. EXTREMELY disappointed in the current administration bashing that took place! How about discuss what is on this platform and how to handle the new regulations vs complaining about everything!

Pros: The updates on EHS regulations is extremely important for us especially the state regulations.

Cons: I don't have issues. Since we are a large company, we don't have as much use for the examples and templates, but I can see how useful they would be to a smaller company.

Pros: the reporting aspect of the software was phenomenal

Cons: it is very hard for me to learn how to navigate the system

Pros: The environmental updates and safety training resources are great.

Cons: I have no complaints about EHS Hero. I have contacted customer support several times and always received great service.

Pros: The pre-written safety policies and training documents are very valuable to me as I am a one-person team.

Cons: There are many of the resources in Spanish but would like to see more of the training and policy resources in Spanish.

Pros: Easy to use and find information. Federal and state specific information. Customizable forms.

Cons: Training options for users and setting up users.

Pros: All I need to train my employees. I don't have to search everywhere else to train it's there for me with such a great general industry library.

Cons: You don't get the whole system where I can only get so much approved I know BLR offers more that I am unable to take advantage of.

Pros: None, when being a user of SAFETY BLR for years and compare to EHS HERO.

Cons: SAFETY BLR was easier to navigate much clearer for finding things. This EHS HERO is terrible and it takes longer to download material.

Pros: It was inexpensive. It has a place to store and research what pages you can use to start building a safety manual; if needed. It does have the tool box talk pages and you can get assistance from other safety experts regarding questions about OSHA laws. They will give you the link to the citation.

Cons: The training aspect. The videos were cumbersome to look up. Then once bookmarked you cant just download onto your own computer for a quick and dirty way to keep training straight. There are also too many options on the training subjects. If I am looking for lock out tag out then just give me one option per say - not three. A lot of the content on here can be found when you join NSC.

Pros: The software has been tailored to meet the needs of customers and is easy to use. BasicSafe is well-known for their service and support, making this a wonderful company to work with all around!

Cons: We currently don't have any issues in this area!

Pros: I used basicsafe on a daily basis for six years. The format is easy to use and enabled my company to totally eliminate all hardcopy procedure manuals, sds sheets and forms. Nice huh. Our five location remote facilities staff was able to bring up the most current procedures, regulations and forms. Training was easy for all from office to floor. If they have a smart phone they will be able to use this software. Bonus- AIB , USDA and customers all appreciated the ease of finding documents too. We expanded it into using for audits, work orders and corrective actions. Quality product.

Cons: Needs better ability to bring large photos into it. We were doing visual workplace and large photos were tough.

Cons: Currently not able to use the audit tool when internet is not available. Offline capabilities for rural site audits would allow us to complete the entries on site.

Pros: Easy to use and easy to train others. The audit tool, action tool, and incident tool are very user friendly.

Cons: Cannot load multiple images to a specific sequence in the lockout tool. I would like the ability to upload multiple action plans at once.

Pros: In the LOTO Module, the ability to add photos to the LOTO checklist. The ability to search for equipment names in the LOTO module makes it much easier for our operators to find the checklists.

Cons: We can't upload our current checklists into the system, we have to start from scratch, but that's more because of our current checklist system rather than an issue with BasicSafe.

Pros: It's easy to use; even for folks who haven't used computers much. I like the follow up training for each tool, great way to remind folks of the features in each tool when they might have forgotten.

Cons: During a search in the incident tool, once you've clicked into an incident and you try to go back to the search screen/info on that screen, it disappears. You have to re-enter the search. It would be nice to have it retain the search in order to go back/forth easier.
