Pros: Shopify does a lot of things well, and is a good tool for us to use in managing inventory and billing for our sales.
Cons: Some of the visualization and analysis tools are not intuitive and/or are difficult to set up and use effectively.

I would definitely recommend it as an entry-level app for starting entrepreneurs. It's a great managment app for your products when you want to sell.
Pros: I like how accessible it is and how I can manage my sales and products all in one place. They have great visibility which makes them a trustworthy company.
Cons: They are on the more expensive side for the value that they offer. The features are not all intuitive.

Pros: A free app so good value, very easy to use and allows you to manage the data you enter in the app. Payments are simple and it provides with many payment options

Cons: Sometimes the tracking links do not work and you cannot mark them as collected so it stays on the app forever

My experience has been extremely positive. I switched from Wix and immediately noticed improvements in site performance, overall usability, and the ability to grow a business. Shopify feels like a platform designed around serious eCommerce rather than trying to be a general website builder that also happens to sell products. The ecosystem is strong, the checkout process feels polished, and it gives businesses room to scale without feeling limited. The migration took effort, but looking back I wish I had switched sooner.
Pros: Shopify feels purpose-built for eCommerce. After switching from Wix, the difference in overall performance, flexibility, and ecosystem became obvious very quickly. The platform is easier to scale, the app integrations are strong, checkout feels polished, and there are far more tools available for growing a business. Customization options are excellent, and there is a large community and support network around the platform.
Cons: There can be a learning curve when first moving over, especially when dealing with themes, apps, and advanced customization. Costs can also increase as you add apps and additional features. Some functions that feel like they should be built-in sometimes require outside apps.

It is simply a great product and I would suggest it as a "need to have" business tool to any ecommerce outfit, whatever the size. The support provided by Shopify as well is a "breath of fresh air" as they really work with you to grow your business and optimise your offering.
Pros: The ease of use and integration with existing systems if highly beneficial. The ease with which you are able to track and process online orders is also exceptional. Training staff to use the system is incredibly easy and full proof. The value of the system is beyond all expectations and has become a vital asset for ongoing workflows. It is seamless in the processing of various payment types and is easy to use if refunds are necessary. It is a must have!!
Cons: I have not experienced any down side to using Shopify. It is easy to use, versatile and focussed to provide the best possible customer experience possible. It was not necessary to utilise the website creation options but Shopify understands the retail space so vividly that the roll out was slick and effortless.

Overall, Shopify is a capable platform with strong features, but my experience was impacted by billing confusion and a less-than-ideal support experience. While it works well from a functionality standpoint, I would be more confident recommending it if there were improvements in billing clarity and customer support responsiveness.
Pros: Shopify is easy to set up and use, even without a technical background. The interface is clean, and the platform offers a wide range of integrations and tools that make it simple to get a store up and running quickly.
Cons: Greater transparency around billing and clearer communication would go a long way. Felt a little bit confusing initially.

Strong choice for getting an online store running without a ton of overhead. The platform is mature, well supported, and the third party integrations cover most needs. Just keep an eye on the total cost once you factor in apps and fees.
Pros: Getting a store up and running is faster than most alternatives. The app ecosystem is huge so you can extend functionality without custom development, and the payment processing works smoothly out of the box. Admin interface is clean and easy to navigate.
Cons: Costs can creep up once you start adding apps and the transaction fees add up if you're not using Shopify Payments. Some customization still requires digging into Liquid templating which isn't for everyone.

My overall experience with shopify is pretty amazing, it is helpful and sends me upcoming notifications on where my packages are and when they will deliver.
Pros: My favorite thing about shopify is it tracks ALL of my orders under one application! which is amazing for me, Also the payment options on what kind of cards they accept are endlessly amazing!
Cons: My least favorite thing about shopify is that every website I got too, It tries to force me to sign in.

We’re genuinely excited to keep helping more merchants achieve their goals with tailored solutions that go well beyond the platform’s out-of-the-box capabilities.
Pros: We’ve been building powerful integrations for Shopify merchants. From advanced inventory systems and custom on-site widgets to fully bespoke apps and beyond. The Shopify API is outstanding, and the documentation is clear, thorough, and developer-friendly.
Cons: While a few features are still missing, we’re generally impressed with the steady pace of new development and how quickly the platform continues to evolve.

I like Shopify! It made operating easy. It took away all worries from me about how to operate a website.
Pros: It’s easy to use, the platform has everything you need for an E-commerce website and it’s easy enough for people who are not tech savvy to learn and use
Cons: Sometimes it’s hard to find a feather that you are looking for and the AI support is not always helpful, and it takes some time to get a real person support
Inbal H. · Owner · Apparel & Fashion · April 27, 2026
Shopify is the solution I needed to sell publications online. Payment options offered were sufficient for the target audience and the price justified itself immediately.
Pros: Creating a store for selling my publication with payments was much easier than expected despite me lacking even a bit of tech skills. It really seemed to be made for a busy person.
Cons: The support services provided can vary greatly from time to time. Was waiting on hold for much longer than necessary for a question regarding payment setup.

Overall, our experience has been positive. Shopify handles the front-end eCommerce side really well, and with the NetSuite integration through Celigo, we’ve been able to streamline backend operations like order syncing and inventory updates. There were some initial challenges during setup and mapping, but once stabilized, it’s been quite reliable. It’s a good option if you want something scalable without building everything from scratch.
Pros: Shopify is very easy to use and quick to set up compared to other eCommerce platforms. The UI is clean, and managing products, orders, and payments is pretty straightforward. What worked really well for us is how smoothly it integrates with other systems — we’re using it with NetSuite via Celigo, and that has helped automate a lot of our order and customer data flow. It saves a lot of manual work once everything is set up properly. Also, the app ecosystem is quite strong if you need extra features.
Cons: Costs can increase quite a bit over time, especially with paid apps and transaction fees. While the basics are easy, more advanced customization isn’t very straightforward and often needs developer support. From an integration perspective, maintaining workflows via Celigo sometimes needs monitoring, especially when there are sync errors or data mismatches.

Although I was able to set up a store quite quickly, I spent quite a lot of time trying to make the store function in the way that I needed. However, there are fewer issues and more functionality with 2.0 themes. I have yet to switch to the latest block-based themes and hope to maintain a stable 2.0 for a bit longer.
Pros: I was able to quickly create a professional e-commerce store with a free template, and there are many options for customization. Shopify continues to add functionality.
Cons: Shopify relies heavily on paid apps for functionality. Stacking subscriptions for what could be considered basic functionality can be expensive. Also, this requires additional time to research; the apps can slow down the site and conflict with each other.

It's positive, It is a reliable and scalable platform that works well for beginners and growing businesses. It makes it easy to manage products, payments, and orders in one place. However, it becomes less budget-friendly as your store grows and you start needing more advanced features. Still, it remains one of the best options for starting and running an online business.
Pros: The interface is very user-friendly you can launch a store quickly. It also has a large app store . The checkout system is smooth which helps increase conversions.
Cons: The biggest downside for me is the cost. It starts affordable, but once you add apps and a good theme, it quickly gets expensive. I also didn’t like that some useful features require upgrading or installing extra apps. And if you want full customization, you’ll probably need some coding skills.

My journey to an e-commerce world started with Shopify, and I can't thank this platform enough. 6 years ago when I was looking to start a dropshipping business, that's when I came across Shopify. I used this product to design and publish my first dropshipping website in no time. Honestly, I had very little knowledge about websites that time, however I was still able to design a decent looking professional website and launch my dropshipping business. Isn't that fun?
Pros: What I love most about Shopify is how easy to use and beginners friendly the platform is. You could pretty much launch your e-commerce website solely with Shopify without having to worry about any other platforms from getting a domain name and hosting space, to securing the website with SSL, everything in one place. Moreover, the cost for hosting your site is very minimal if you compare it with other competitors.
Cons: So far till day, I have no complaints about Shopify. It did fulfil all my needs and requirements with ease during my first E-commerce website launch back in 2019.

Overall my experience with Shopify has been really good. I used it for a small online store and it made the whole process simple, from adding products to handling payments. It’s beginner‑friendly but still powerful enough when you want to grow. There are small annoyances like app costs and limited free customization, but nothing that stopped me from running the store. For anyone who wants to start selling online without dealing with complicated setups, Shopify works well and feels reliable.
Pros: What I like most about Shopify is how easy it is to set up a store even if you’re not super technical. I tried it for a small side project and honestly the whole setup took less time than I expected. The themes look clean and professional, and editing them is simple. Payments are smooth too, customers don’t get stuck or confused. I also like the app store because I can add features without doing coding. The dashboard is clear and I can track orders, traffic and sales without digging around.
Cons: Some apps get expensive fast, and a few features that should be basic are locked behind paid apps. Customizing themes beyond the simple stuff can get tricky unless you know Liquid or CSS. The reporting is okay but not great unless you pay for higher plans. Also sometimes the store feels a bit slow when too many apps are installed. Customer support is helpful but wait times can be long during busy hours. Not huge issues but they add up when you’re trying to run things smoothly.

It was a awesome experience.we were up and running in just 2 hours .the domain integration and payment processing all happened quickly .
Pros: Shopify have irresistible offer for new users for first three months where they provide one dollar per month charges .so it's number one option for startups to choose Shopify .the user interface is simple and beginner friendly.
Cons: The Shopify payment is not available in countries like India which makes it difficult to receive payments although there are other third party payment providers like paypal ,razorpay and others which integrate very well .but I hope that Shopify payment will be made available in india as well .
Sunil T. · Ceo · Apparel & Fashion · April 11, 2026
Positive, Shopify integrated within my website easily & hassle free. The interface of the store looks professional and updating stock and products is quick and easy, allowing me to concentrate my time in other areas
Pros: Shopify offers a great working ecommerce shop for businesses. The front end look of the site as well as the price point was also another great positive. adjusting stock levels and editing products was also very straightforward to do. The built in AI bot and other tools helps make it straightforward to build the site.
Cons: Certain plans make the site very limited. SEO limitations also make it hard to drive extra traffic to the ecommerce page
Hayden R. · Graphic Designer · Computer Software · April 9, 2026
My overall experience with Shopify has been very positive. It’s easy to use, reliable, and provides everything needed to run an online store, though costs can add up over time.
Pros: Shopify is very user-friendly and makes it easy to set up and manage an online store, even without technical experience.
Cons: Shopify can get expensive over time with subscription fees, transaction fees, and the need for additional paid apps to unlock certain features.
Anonymous User · Manager · Arts and Crafts · April 9, 2026
My overall experience has been very positive. Shopify is a "one-stop-shop" that takes the technical headache out of running an online store. It handles payment options and security seamlessly, allowing me to focus more on marketing and products rather than server maintenance. It’s a reliable, scalable solution that grows with your business, despite the slightly higher price point for premium features.
Pros: The ease of use is definitely the standout feature. Website creation is intuitive thanks to the drag-and-drop editor, making it accessible even if you don't have a coding background. I also really appreciate the 24/7 chat and call support; they are usually very quick to resolve technical hiccups. The platform is incredibly stable, and the vast app ecosystem allows you to add almost any functionality you need as you scale.
Cons: While the platform is powerful, the value for money can get a bit complicated. Monthly costs can add up quickly once you start adding paid apps and premium themes. I also find the payment structure a bit restrictive; if you don't use Shopify Payments, you’re hit with additional transaction fees, which can eat into the margins of a small business.
Jan V. · CEO · Sports · April 7, 2026
Overall, the experience with Shopify has been just OK, but trending more negatively the more I used it, and felt that ultimately it wasn't right for me both as a consumer and a user due to the cons, especially price, outweighing the pros. There was also little customer support and long queues.
Pros: I enjoyed the easy user interface, combined marketplace selling feature such as via social media, through third party apps, or even in person/point of sale, as well as the high performance levels of the app and its affiliates.
Cons: However, what I disliked about Shopify is the charges, fees, limited usage with other apps, and the "gamey" nature of the app, in that it sometimes feels more like a reward system than an ecosystem.

I loved using shopify as I used it for multiple different websites I had in the past and I always recommend it
Pros: I have had multiple websites with shopify and I love how you can personalise everything from the comfort of your own home , there are many different payment options for customers from Apple Pay to Klarna with brings in more customers, I also love how supportive and helpful they are through chat and call support and payment questions
Cons: I can not think of anything that u disliked about shopify, the only thing I can think of is when you first set up a website it can be a little confusing but it didn’t take long for me to work it out
Melissa C. · Lash supplier · Cosmetics · April 5, 2026
my experience with Shopify has been really positive. It’s a solid platform for building and managing an online store, and it handles payments smoothly, which takes a lot of stress off. The ease of use and reliable customer support make it beginner-friendly, but it’s also scalable if your business grows. The only real drawback is the pricing, but if you’re making consistent sales, it’s worth it
Pros: Shopify is easy it is to use, even if you’re not super techsavvy. The website process is very straightforward, and you can get a store up and running pretty quickly. There are a lot of templates to choose from, and they look professional without needing much customization. I also liked the variety of payment options—it makes it simple for customers to check out, which is huge for conversions. I’ve been able to reach someone through chat pretty easily when I needed help.
Cons: biggest downside is the cost. Between the monthly subscription, transaction fees, and paid apps, it can get expensive fast, especially if you’re just starting out.
Alissa P. · Agent · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · April 5, 2026
Overall if we list out pros and cons, pros outweigh cons. However the cons will be constant pain in the neck that will be impossible to solve. Example complex checout rules have rely on multiple external apps and are very difficult to manage and maintain.
Pros: Shopify takes care of many things for you such as hosting, platform and payments and wallets. Shopify offers an extensive variety of apps to help you extend its functionality
Cons: You are bound by shopify’s rules and it can be extremely difficult to ad bespoke functionality. And impossible to do that on the checkout process. Misconfigured product will be abused by bad actors using specialised tools for shopify and you will loose money if you fail to catch these orders. If you list on shop app it will overtake your checkout to scrape your customers.
