Brilliant. Woocommerce would always be the platform I use to develop only stores, customer support is next to none and you have everything you need!
Pros: The all in one easy to use and build platform, easily integrated into any website and great value for money! Cant go wrong
Cons: Nothing, woo commerce is miles above the rest, and ensures everything you need is a click away, adaptable and easy to use.

Pros: What I like most about WooCommerce is how it makes it easy for non-tech people to use it and to actually take their business online. I personally used WooCommerce with my WordPress website and it was flawless. Happy to recommend using WooCommerce to run their business online.
Cons: Honestly, there's nothing I like least about Woocommerce. The purpose of their app was met. They made it very easy for taking anyone's business online, no matter if they're a tech-nerd or not.

I am please with being able to have an ecommerce store that works so I can concentrate on marketing and new product development.
Pros: Not only is it free to set up, but the fact that I was able to easlity create an ecommerce site to sell my products in literally in hours was great. The multiple payment options and integration with my bank and paypal allowed me to receive funds quickly. Adding products and chaging pricing - also easy to use.
Cons: Seems I am always updating the plug-in, and I worry about security. (Although it hasn't been an issue). If I was not super savvy on web design/Wordpress, I might have found it difficult to set up.

Overall, WooCommerce has been a powerful option for us to get good control and flexibility in our ecommerce. It’s a great tool since we wanted to build something customized, but not necessarily the easiest path for businesses that are just getting started.
Pros: What I like the most about WooCommerce is that you can customize almost anything, like for example the design and the functionality, which is amazing if you want full control over your online store.
Cons: We had a refund issues one time and WooCommerce penalized us with a fee that felt pricy and the worst part is that we had to talk to the technical team to get it back up and running.

We might have preferred a nicer look to the product listing but this works. We have never had a glitch and enjoy the simplicity of the program
Pros: They do a great job of keeping the software updated and installed properly. Fee structure is in line with other software and often less in that there is no per transaction fee. Setup was easy, making new products or variants is also really easy.
Cons: Freight setup is complicated but this isn’t really a problem of WOO, freight is complicated. We use a third party for freight pricing. The store adds the freight but we don’t actually use WOO for freight.

I've used WooCommerce along with a visual builder for WordPress to create a simple ecommerce website that does exactly what I need it to.
Pros: WooCommerce is very versatile and will integrate with so many different software. You have a lot of control over the type of ecommerce experience you create.
Cons: It's not the easiest to setup well if you're new to it. You also need to set it up properly to avoid security concerns.

My overall experience with WooCommerce is a positive one for the modest size of our organisation and in-house technical knowledge and experience.
Pros: WooCommerce offers great value for money and a flexible service. It is free to install and you can customise options to your preference. It is easy to use and set up. WooCommerce supports many different payment options and methods, supporting major credit cards, digital wallets, and bank transfers. We have never experienced any payments being declined using WooCommerce which is vital to ensure smooth sales and maximising income.
Cons: To get the best out of WooCommerce and all the features, you do need to get the add on extensions. These are paid for and require some technical expertise to maximise their efficiency and functionality. It works fine for our smaller set-up as we do not require many of these additional features.

I needed to use woo commerce but it's an old platform that even if has been made "modern looking" it is still too clunky.
Pros: It is free, easy to setup (at least at the beginning) and you can start getting payment right away with a plethora of payment gateways
Cons: It is very hard to customize or adapt to your own business model. A simple thing like removing some fields from the checkout can be a painful process even with plugins

Pros: I am a word press user and it is nice to have woo commerce available to use for listing my products for sell on my website. It integrates really well with the major payment processors. The fees are typical for any processor. 2.9%+.30 cents per transaction.
Cons: WooCommerce is able to be a little complexed to figure out and understand, but it is loaded with tons of features that makes it worth it.

I enjoy working with it. While it takes a bit to learn, at times it's absolutely worth the time to learn once you have the hang of it.
Pros: WooCommerce made it easy to set up our online store, update products, offer different versions of products, and accept different payment types. Any issues we encountered have always been swiftly corrected. The core plugin is free, so the value is in it from the start.
Cons: Learning to set up products isn't entirely user-friendly, and takes a bit of effort to understand all the different components to it.

Overall, WooCommerce has been an excellent ecommerce platform for our business. We use it as the core ecommerce engine for two websites and it has allowed us to customize nearly every part of the store experience, from checkout and shipping rules to product logic and customer flows. We primarily use WooCommerce-developed extensions when possible, but we’ve also had strong results with reputable third-party plugins. If you want a flexible platform that can scale with your needs, WooCommerce has been a great fit.
Pros: We love how easy WooCommerce is to set up and manage, while still offering a high level of flexibility and customization. It integrates well with WordPress, and the plugin ecosystem is huge and there’s a solution for almost every use case. We’ve been able to tailor several WooCommerce plugins to match our exact business needs, and overall the platform has been very reliable. WooCommerce support has also been great whenever we’ve needed help.
Cons: The biggest downside is plugin management, especially when you run a larger store with a lot of extensions. Keeping track of plugin subscriptions, renewals, and which account they’re tied to can get confusing over time. We’ve occasionally had to reach out to support to merge or clean up subscriptions, but support has always been responsive and helpful.

Overall it is a powerful eCommerce tool with good value for money, but it requires technical knowledge to manage properly.
Pros: I like the customization options and flexibility for website creation. It supports many payment options and works well with WordPress and Elementor.
Cons: It is not very easy to use at the beginning. Customer support depends a lot on plugins and documentation.
Roger A. · Owners · Marketing and Advertising · January 18, 2026
Overall our experience has been positive and I would not hesitate to use WooCommerce again. I would recommend for basic gift shop use.
Pros: WooCommerce work easily with be WordPress website. It is easy to manage inventory. Although customization could be better it does what we need it to do for a reasonable price. The payment options are good, everything we need is offered. We have not used customer support but it has been easy to find the information we need online.
Cons: It would be nice to be able to add some additional options. For example, we would like to be able to mark the order as a gift and include a gift option. I believe there is a way to do this but it is beyond our gift shop capabilities.
Angie T. · Director of Business Affairs · Education Management · January 13, 2026
WooCommerce is our go-to platform for ecommerce. It's compatible with a ton of plugins and there are always addons that we incorporate.
Pros: WooCommerce is an easy to use platform for ecommerce. It has a lot of plugin options and is user friendly.
Cons: While it's easy to use for a website agency, it's not as easy for clients who want to manage their own websites.
Ilysse R. · Project Manager · Marketing and Advertising · January 12, 2026
The only ecommerce platform I use anymore coupled with the Konio WordPress theme, especially when building stores that need custom functionality. The platform’s flexibility is its biggest strength — you can shape your store exactly how you want it, and the WordPress ecosystem gives you endless options for design and features. It’s powerful, scalable, and ideal for developers or store owners who want full control.
Pros: The biggest advantage of WooCommerce is its flexibility. Because it runs on WordPress, you can customize nearly every part of your store — from design to functionality — using tightly integrated themes such as KonioWP.
Cons: WooCommerce can become complex and plugin‑heavy as your store grows unless you're familiar with the ins and outs of WooCommerce.

I use woo commerce for my online store. it easy to post new products, and edit existing ones as well. I like the AI feature which pulls up product descriptions for the items.
Pros: its easy to use and they basically take care of payments and product posting for my website, especially the AI product description feature which saves a lot of time.
Cons: it took a while to get around the shipping details. and then, Its a bit difficult to input the tax percentage of the various States in the system
Jess A. · Designer · Design · December 4, 2025
Pros: The easy and clear possibilitys in wordpress. Its really nice that you can use very much tools of wordpress in Woocommerxe
Cons: The long loading time when you are importing a long list of products via a CSV or excel file. This can sometimes take hourd
Sebastiaan P. · Marketing · Sports · December 4, 2025
Pros: A fantastic alternative to the "big guy" competitor, we all know who. Allows for unlimited customizability and much better payment processing. Your website development process will be much better and well wroth the money.
Cons: Not as plug and play as other solutions but far more customizable and better for long term scalability.

It has been important for my business. I was told by my devs to use Woocommerce from the start, and I have trusted them to do so. For 8 years, it has been the backbone of our online operations.
Pros: The fact that it allowed me to sell online at (www.planhoot.com), seamlessly. The ease with which I can offer multi-currency options - deep integrations with other tools is something that was super beneficial and critical. Moreover, the payment processing is something that made life easier for customers.
Cons: There could be more customizations available for people such as me. I am not a super techy guy, and I am not saying that it was hard to use - but, there could be a little but of easy in use.

I don't love WooCommerce. It works to support our storefront on the website, but it is a bit tedious and has so many settings that you can really get bogged down in checking them all.
Pros: WooCommerce allows you to integrate your storefront onto your website. It allows for numerous payment options and has many different customization options.
Cons: I think that it is a little tedious to upload and add merchandise. There are often kind of "hidden" settings that affect the the visibility on the website. It syncs stock with Square, but does not always do this accurately either.
Angela P. · Director · Mental Health Care · October 20, 2025
It's been great for stores when people purchased on computer but not now. My experience has been disappointing when facing account and email template purchase issues.
Pros: An important point is that it is so easy to use and that anyone can use it and integrate it on their site to manage orders. WooCommerce is the best WordPress plugin for getting transactions.
Cons: I don't think WordPress and WooCommerce are suitable for mobile, because today's generation does everything on mobile devices.

WooCommerce lets us manage our merch and extra game content store smoothly. I was able to create product pages, manage inventory, and set up promotions without issues. The integration with WordPress makes content and blog management super smooth, which also helps with our marketing campaigns. Thanks to WooCommerce, we launched flash sales for limited editions and tracked all orders easily it improves the fan experience and saves us a lot of time
Pros: I really like that it integrates with WordPress it clearly simplified how we manage products and inventory. It has tons of extension features to help boost sales.
Cons: Some of its extensions are way too expensive, and for more advanced customization you need some coding, which isn’t easy for beginners.
Matthieu N. · Community Manager · Computer Games · September 10, 2025
It’s my go-to when building eCommerce websites because its flexibility. Although it requieres experience, it lets you set up almost every type of business that wants online payments. It can be catering services, an organization with member discount, monthly subscription style of service, traffic school, or normal physical product eCommerce website. It’s helpful when the website has very specific requirements.
Pros: When working with woocommerce, there is a lot of flexibility on what you what t your website to be. Whether you are selling virtual or physical products, it’s the best solution for building eCommerce with Wordpress. There is a lot of extra plugins that give great flexibility in all the needs you might encounter depending on the type of business or eCommerce you have.
Cons: It’s not a beginners system. You need to understand how to set it up correctly as there is room to a lot of confusion, specially when it comes to shipping, product variables, payment methods. The plugin does not give all solutions in one, and you need to have experience in setting up the correct way.
Alexandra L. · Customer success manager · Marketing and Advertising · August 30, 2025
I have set up dozen's of business's WooCommerce sites, from very basic items, to complicated setups and subscription based sites.
Pros: WooCommerce opens up the options for selling items on your WordPress website. It's a great free platform for starting a new online shop, and their payment options allow you accept the most popular payment methods online. The one aspect that WooCommerce outshines Shopify on is SEO and that's primarily because of WordPress.
Cons: WooCommerce can get complicated really fast. From variable product types, to subscriptions, every layer of customization beyond the basic shop settings will lead you to having to purchase a WooCommerce add-on. By the time you purchase the add-ons you need, you're looking at the same cost as running a shopify shop.
