Very similar to my uses with another client who set me up to connect to some remotes for a year (FiXme.IT) and was very effective.
Pros: Ease of setup and use. Zero learning time. Cool interface. Seems like it may fill the bill for what I need it to do.
Cons: Only Windows OS to connect is a downfall, since I was able to review remotes from my phone or tablet (I even have a wireless keyboard them). Now, I would need a laptop in my pocket to go wirelessly and a hotspot on my phone.

Working remotely would not be possible without SetMe. Having this tool in our team's toolbox has given us the flexibility to support from anywhere.
Pros: We have fully transitioned to utilizing all that SetMe offers, and have thoroughly enjoyed the use of the standard client sessions, unattended access, and access history.
Cons: Working predominantly on macOS devices, recent version upgrades have prevented SetMe Unattended from being available and needing other services like Screen Sharing to work. If Apple provides some flexibility to the business environment, this would no longer be an issue.

Great features, never need text support. I have been using them since the fix me days and never had any major issues.
Pros: Copy paste files. Easy to use dashboard with integrated text, screen recording, os version and even uptime.
Cons: Will not run on IPad. This would be nice for quick screenviews when I’m away from my desk or otherwise need to do a simple task.

Excellent product, very easy to use, simple for my remote clients to set up and unattended access is stable and secure.
Pros: Stable and secure connection to my remote clients is imperative and SetMe provides this in abundance.
Cons: Navigation in the 'unattended' list can feel a little awkward at times and moving of clients into correct folders could be more intuitive.
Liz M. · Tech Haven Manager · Information Technology and Services · April 3, 2025
Support gets back to you right away I have had all issues resolved I like this software more than some others I need to use for my clients again quick always connects easy interface
Pros: It is quick to load interface is easy to use I have control of what I need to do
Cons: Had several issues after upgrading from Fix me to set me as far as installing remote client un attended access but not fixed Support starts with a canned reply
Dennis H. · owner · Computer Networking · March 14, 2025
It's been great to use - so much better than my previous remote control software. Unattended access works like a dream!
Pros: Ease of use, speed is great, install is easy, pricing is good - just a great product!
Cons: Most of my "issues" are already on their feature roadmap, but my 2 biggest requests would be better multi-monitor support, and a mobile app!
Logan S. · Director of Technology · Primary/Secondary Education · March 13, 2025
It's a pretty good solution and a good value.
Pros: I like it's low latency. The support from the company has been good.
Cons: The interface is not quite as intuitive as it could be.
Daniel S. · Owner · Entertainment · March 13, 2025
For the most part SetMe does everything I need it to, it is by far the best remote application I have used.
Pros: The fact that I can connect to both windows and MAC is a plus. Also not having to deal with windows user account control is very nice
Cons: Still not sure about the unattended install and not allowing user to uninstall. The stored password creds have yet to work for me, when you click on sign in nothing happens
Tom T. · IT Director · Hospitality · March 12, 2025
It has been great! The ui is great and having the ability to connect to a mac is very useful.
Pros: UI is user freindly and setting up unattended access is easy.
Cons: the scroll bar at the bottom is a little clunky
Fernando M. · It Consultant, tech support · Information Technology and Services · March 12, 2025
very nice I don't like that interruptions when i open setme console on another computer and i always get that another session was in session and i have to click and then close and then get going ... maybe add a MAC ADDRESS security option, so that any of these MAC addresses are allowed to use the set.me console. ?????
Pros: not sure ... but certainly improvements over fixme. I would like the downloads function to be a bit more obvious when i goto www.set.me :: like a login link on that page.. Support has been VERY RESPONSIVE and has implemented several of my "wonderful" suggestions. :-)
Cons: improve: I think that little square to minimize the top ribbon should go on the far left or right side so it doesn't eat up screen real-estate. I typically keep it there, but that extra vertical space getting used by the little square is a tad annoying....also: the scroll bar at the bottom of hte screen for multiple monitors needs to be bigger and a bright color like GREEN on BLACK or somthing so it obvious that there are multiple monitors .... ALSO: on unattended, sometimes when i connect to clients, they still have things open, would be NICE if maybe: the TEXT window auto-appeared in teh middle of their screen maybe to alert them that remoting is now happening, or something like that: I think maybe instead of just opening their screen that the bar appears to either texxt or remote open or something just to cause a delay maybe.

Set Me has been a great experience an we use it company wide for our helpdesk and technicians to assist our members around the world.
Pros: I like that the product is constantly updated to keep on top of the security aspects. We also like the unattended features and the means to secure who can and cannot access certain workstations.
Cons: The fact that they push updates at any particular time and there are times when you are in a hurry to access a workstation that you have to wait for the application to update.
Keith H. · Sr. Systems and Network Manager · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · February 24, 2025
SetMe is an indispensable part of my weekly workflow and I use it several times a day, and all day when I work remotely.
Pros: The ability to switch monitors, locking the remote screen so that shoulder surfers can't audit the technician's work.
Cons: At first, SetMe was slightly less responsive than FixMe.IT. Now, I can't detect any noticable difference.

This has been a game changer for me because I know that I will be able to remote into a computer when I am working with a teacher.
Pros: How easy it is to remote into computers in my district. We have used other programs before and it is always hit and miss if I could be able to connect to them.
Cons: My only issue so far is with multiple screens. If I want to show them all it can be a pain sometimes to slide around. But it still works better than any other program I have ever used.
Rachel H. · Technology Specialist · Information Technology and Services · February 12, 2025
Very nice - not overwhelmed with excess features that "clunk up" the menus. It just gets me where I need to go quickly.
Pros: Easy to use, quick to operate. Nice that it works cross-platform. Also the price is right.
Cons: Program itself updates all the time. Seems like a couple times per week it's going through an update.
Derek V. · IT Manager · Consumer Goods · February 12, 2025
Pros: Easy remote access suite, fluid connectivity.
Cons: Not able to connect via the web/phone, it would be helpful in a lot of instances.
Casey B. · Owner · Computer & Network Security · January 23, 2025
overall experience with SetMe is very good, certainly one of the best and easiest support desk tools that I have used.
Pros: Ease of use. Easily able to scale users screens. Ability to disable user end keyboard and mouse access. General look and feel of the application.
Cons: Nothing immediately springs to mind, having used other tools on helpdesk SetMe is right up there with the best.
Phil C. · Helpdesk Support Analyst · Information Technology and Services · January 14, 2025
Excellent. I use it heavily every day and I would gladly recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Really easy to use software for both client and support users, great UI, excellent support. Love that you can now see system info and paste clipboard data as keyboard strokes.
Cons: The ctrl+alt+del button is too easy to click when trying to select the sub-menu the enters clipboard data as keystrokes. I've had numerous instances where Windows UAC pops up, I misclick on the tiny button to open the sub-menu that contains the function to enter clipboard data as keyboard strokes, accidentally click ctrl+alt+del and it closes the UAC. I've also accidentally clicked the windows+L option above which equally should be in a separate area. If you accidentally click the Windows+L button while you're working on a users machine while they are away, it can be very frustrating if you don't have their password to log back in.

Good software limitations on concurrent logins
Pros: Convenient software to access client computers
Cons: Amount of logins multiple techs can’t help
Paul T. · Managing partner · Computer Networking · January 13, 2025
Easily one of the best remote software out there for the sake of simplicity . We have tried all of the big name brands and none are as straight forward and easy as SetMe.
Pros: Extremely easy to use! End users only need to provide a 6 digit code which couldn't be much more simpler.
Cons: Getting onto Mac OS can be sometimes a challenge as it needs extra requirements to run but that more of Mac thing really.
Luke W. · IT Support Technician · Information Technology and Services · December 11, 2024
Pros: User friendly, great admin features to allow unattended access to other.
Cons: We need to be able to access nearly 200 Android tablets (Samsung) to help staff troubleshoot. Unattended.
Kelley C. · Data Management Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · November 3, 2024
Overall it’s a great product. The price is right and the quality is good.
Pros: Clean interface, reliable, constant updates and features, stability, price.
Cons: I would like more granular control of the screen size and mouse movement. I don’t like that it automatically moves around the screen sometimes when I have a single smaller screen and working on a system with 2-3 screens that are larger.
David D. · Tech · Computer Networking · October 31, 2024
Set me has allowed our business to connect with customers from far away while maintaining simplicity. Most remote setups involve too many steps and or needing an account setup just to get help. Set me has provided a short and simple process that meets expectations.
Pros: the ability to blank the screen on the customers computer while doing remote work.
Cons: despite clicking save my login info, it never does.
Jay C. · Owner · Computer Hardware · October 30, 2024
A very good product and an important tool in my support services tool kit. It helps me to remotely manage servers and desktops for my clients all over the world with ease.
Pros: All the great featured of FixMe.IT but now with Mac support. Also, if you are a FixMe.IT customer they will migrate your connections to the new service. This includes all of the unattended account credentials, etc.
Cons: I would love to see support for mobile devices. I think this is still lacking. Also, the price increased by about 33% on a monthly basis. But with the price increase over at FixMe.IT it is only a little more a month for all of the advanced features.
William F. · Consulting Services Manager · Information Technology and Services · October 30, 2024
Meh, might hang on to fixme for a while yet till more issues are resolved.
Pros: MFA authentication though smart phone apps. MAC remote support. Connects back to remote sessions after restarts (fixme would have problems with this).
Cons: Top bar is annoying when in remote sessions. Scale it in to the window or allow it to be auto-hidden like in fixme. Admin rights to install setme as a service require the customer to click allow where fixme would just work. Still major clipboard issues just like with fixme if connected to more than one remote session. Less likely to connect back to remote session if joining a domain or changing any network or user profile settings than with fixme. Malware scan tools find SetMe as a threat. Some customers get stuck at connecting (after they have given us a the code) with SetMe and FixMe works fine.

Started woth Fixme.it and moved to SetMe. The few times I asked for support, they were always super responsive.
Pros: Very user friendly, and priced at a great price point.
Cons: Updates require full reinstall of admin console.
