MailerLite helps businesses run email campaigns, automate marketing tasks, and manage subscriber lists. It’s most used by marketing and creative teams in small firms, sending weekly or monthly campaigns. Reviewers highlight its drag-and-drop campaign builder and automation workflows. Pros: Its freemium plan is enough to use for newbies who just want to kickstart their Email Marketing campaign.
Cons: Nah, no issues. I'm still using it and also waiting for its new upcoming features, like Memberships, Subscriptions, and Donations.

My experience was very poor, as their so-called “Anti-Spam Policy” is applied arbitrarily and conceals abusive and dishonest charges for services that are not delivered. Refund my money.
Pros: What I liked most was the design of their emails, along with a user-friendly and easy-to-use system.
Cons: $95

Overall, it is very good! I still use it often. I think it's one of the best free plans out there, with more flexibility than competitors.
Pros: It's been almost 8 months using MailerLite, and I have to say I still love it. Once again, it's a very simple platform that is easy to use for beginners, and I love the drag-and-drop features.
Cons: I wish there were more features for the free plan - like to send things out during specific time zones, depending on the individual you're sending the campaign to.

Pros: Fantastic for starting a free email list with a 1k free subscriber cap after which you have to pay. Great for beginners looking to try an email list before investing.
Cons: MailChimp has a higher free subscriber cap and better user interface tools; Mailerlite is more simple.

Very good experience the app has more features and is more advanced then previous years, very easy to use
Pros: The platform provides a much broader feature set, that includes landing pages, and automations in one place
Cons: On the cheaper plans automation is much more complex and requires more and is a lot more limited compared to the more expensive plans

Really pleased with this as a free/cheap option while we grow our mailing list and can see ourselves using it even as we grow to the next levels.
Pros: Love that there is a free version to be able to try out the templates and features with a generous mailing list amount. Everything is straightforward and simple to use and the pricing goes up gently not abruptly in the next levels.
Cons: It's a little simple looking in the unpaid version, there are customisable options but the templates are hard to completely brand the way we want to.

When i couldn't get it to do what i wanted i left. So didnt really give it a fair chance. Its a great program
Pros: The mailing system is pretty good it was kind of hard for me to figure it out. The customer support is always helpful
Cons: It was hard for me to actually understand i guess if i took the time id get the hang of it overall make it user friendly.

Pros: In my last review, I wrote about how MailerLite launched an upgraded version of their product without any grandfathering in pricing for old users. This is still a bit of a bummer, but I'll hand it to MailerLite that they've maintained the old version, it still works, and the pricing has remained the same. Some subscription products would just force users into the new higher pricing option, so this is nice to see. Though it would be even nicer to be able to use the newer version at the same cost as I can't imagine that would actually cost the company any more money. I'd actually assume running two different versions (legacy + new) would cost more than just grandfathering old users into the new version.
Cons: The attempts to get me to upgrade from my legacy version to the new version are getting more sticky (there's now a banner at the top of the app 24/7). This has me a bit worried that at some point legacy will just stop working and I'll be forced to make the switch and start paying more. It's not abnormal for subscription services to get more expensive, but it is nice when they offer their long term users some sort of deal or benefit for being around for so long.

My overall experience with the product has been positive. It’s great for new users and a solid starting point for learning automations.
Pros: MailerLite is very easy to use—you can quickly get the hang of it, even if you’re new and just learning the system.
Cons: One downside I didn’t like is how easy it is to go over your subscription limits, and if you don’t upgrade, your account gets paused.

It works reasonably well, but the constant pushing of the newer (& incompatible with its old) version of its platform, combined with price hikes, mean I’m looking to move away. It’s giving I don’t care about my customers: just pay me more!
Pros: I still love its simplicity. Creating templates, making them look good and fit your brand is easy. As are landing pages. And it has some good automations.
Cons: I dislike the fact they rebuilt the product and created it in such a way that original users could not migrate all their information. Certain templates, automations and things built with the old system apparently won’t move fully and they do not transfer their customers accounts for them. If you create a new system, try to force your customers to use the least you can do is the work for them. I don’t have time for that nonsense.

MailerLite is still a good value for money if you don't use the new version, but the Classic one. The new one has all the AI stuff and costs double. The old one is outdated, but does the job
Pros: MailerLite is reliable service that never let me down for over 10 years of using it. Also the support has always been kind and helpful, responding in a timely manner. The integrations with other apps and services is another significant pro.
Cons: I will say it - the pricing. Since the updated new version of Mailerlite has been introduced, the "Classic" version feels like the team is no longer interested in supporting it. No new features, templates and layouts are super outdated - it is clearly left out. No meaningful promotion was offered to users to transition to the new version. even if you've been a loyal customer for 10 years - you get no special treatment. If you want to use the new version you must pay around twice the price.

I was nervous to try it at first, because I have over 38k subs across several substacks; With that many subscribers, it would cost a mint to put them into an automated email sequence, and segment by group. Mailerlite becaome my choice because of how simple it was to set up automations, how it was designed to scale with my paying subscriber list, and how easy it was to implement. It made me wonder why I waited.
Pros: I was searching for a simple ESP with easy to use automation that was affordable. and Mailerlite fit the bill. A lot of ESP's have overcomplicated their software when all you need is a simple tool that sends emails on a prescribed schedule. I have it linked to my store, for sales, linked to a landing page to capture emails, and the auto sequence works great.
Cons: Mailerlite has options for upgrade, and the 500 subscriber limit free plan feels limiting. I wish they would use industry conversion rates out of 1000 subs for the free plan. This gives you an opportunity to do more testing features in list segmentation. But even when you upgrade, there are affordable options that let you scale.

Pros: Mailerlite is still a very competitive solution financially. Hard to find a better price per campaign.
Cons: I think Mailerlite has not introduced new features in a long time. The new dashboard is not innovative enough.
Ruben F. · Design and IT Manager · Non-Profit Organization Management · February 17, 2026
Pros: MailerLite support is very quick to respond because they respond not beyond 12 hours by mail whether you are a free or business plan user.
Cons: I have seen nothing missing on MailerLite I like it all from the initial dashboard to the sending page. However, the automation features give me a horrible time.

We used MailerLite to send a one-time B2B introduction email to business contacts (like info@...) to introduce our platform. We first sent test emails — everything worked fine. Based on that, we upgraded to a paid plan (10,000 subscribers). Then we sent our first real batch of 170 emails. This was not spam, not a scam, not aggressive marketing — just a respectful informational message. From recipients: no spam complaints, no abusive response, normal engagement . From MailerLite: no warnings, no alerts, no indication of any problem. Later, when preparing to send the next batch (~500 emails), our account was terminated for an alleged Terms of Service violation. No prior warning. No opportunity to correct anything. The most important thing to understand: once this happens, YOU LOSE ALL the MONEY you paid. It does not matter if you paid for a year. It does not matter if you used only a small part of the service. YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND.
Pros: The platform was restricted so quickly after onboarding that we never had a real opportunity to experience or evaluate any meaningful benefits or strengths.
Cons: MailerLite applies aggressive and opaque compliance actions, restricts accounts without real warning, withholds prepaid funds, and provides no transparent appeal or recovery path.

I previously used ConvertKit for my mailing needs, but was tired of paying a fortune for features I rarely ever use. Switching to MailerLite was really easy, and it suits my infrequent needs.
Pros: I really like MailerLite's templates, which make it easy to keep consistent branding across every newsletter and campaign I send. It has a pretty comprehensive free plan, though I quickly outgrew that, which tells me my efforts are working.
Cons: Because I'm an infrequent emailer, I'd love an option to pay for each newsletter campaign sent instead of a flat monthly fee per subscriber. I pay the same rate as someone emailing their list daily or weekly, but only keep in touch maybe once per quarter unless I'm launching something.

MailerLite has been straightforward and dependable to use. It’s easy to get campaigns up and running, manage contacts, and see what’s working without spending time figuring out the platform itself. It feels practical rather than overbuilt, which makes it a good fit for day to day email marketing, especially if you want something reliable that doesn’t get in the way.
Pros: Great value for money, easy to use, clean interface, quick setup, reliable deliverability, practical contact and email management, sensible pricing that doesn’t push you into higher tiers too fast, solid campaign reporting.
Cons: Limited advanced customisation, automation can feel basic for very complex use cases, not ideal if you need enterprise level workflows or highly bespoke reporting.
Martina S. · VP · Marketing and Advertising · December 19, 2025
Overall, my experience with MailerLite has been smooth. The interface is clean, the navigation is intuitive, and the workflow feels well-designed from a UX perspective. Even complex tasks like automation are simple to set up.
Pros: I liked MailerLite’s clean and intuitive interface. It makes creating campaigns and automations very smooth, even for complex workflows.
Cons: Sometimes the loading speed of the editor felt a little slow, especially with larger campaigns. But it wasn’t a big issue.
Mukul S. · UI UX designer · Computer Software · December 2, 2025
From beginning to end, it has been a great experience. The setup was straightforward, using the platform is easy and the reporting is thorough. Plus, the emails look great and had good delivery rates. Overall I'm very happy.
Pros: It's really user-friendly. I had no trouble setting it up, loading a list, designing an email and sending it. It is also well priced for the product you get.
Cons: I wish they had kept the higher limit for the free plan! Otherwise, there isn't anything I don't like.

i used it for sending an automatic reply email when someone filled out a form. there was a flow i made where they got emails on day 1,3,5. very easy to setup
Pros: Super affordable and easy to use. Helpful tutorial type options to show you how to maximize campaigns and build campaigns. Great for campaign marketing
Cons: nothing really, it works really well for an affordable crm. it lacks some big features of other paid competitors, but great for someone looking for something free on the email management side
Sam C. · Owner · Marketing and Advertising · November 6, 2025
I love how professional newsletters and campaigns look and how easy it is to navigate through its platform.
Pros: I like how easy it is to customize newsletters and keep track of the engagement that the campaigns you create get from your audience. It also has a user-friendly platform that allows for your content to look professional and accessible. Plus, they have an excellent customer support service.
Cons: I like everything so far. I have no negative observations, everything is friendly and accessible. Plus the free version offers great features.

My experience using Mailer Lite has been lovely! I have been able to learn how to use email marketing and do it myself which I never thought I could do!
Pros: I like that the back end interface is very user friendly for people who aren’t techie, easy to figure out!
Cons: Updating my account when they changed something in their system wasn’t easy. And when I needed help I couldn’t chat with anyone live due to the plan I had.
Joi W. · Online Coach · Internet · October 4, 2025
Thanks [sensitive content hidden] for the great chat support - appreciate your help! Looking forward to use Mailerlite more often now.
Pros: Great Chat support - i had initial problems with connecting my domain, but got solved super fast and friendly. I like the simple way of creating landingpages, connecting it with my website (wix.com) and being able to create mailing workflows.
Cons: initial setup was a bit clunky but i guess that was not a mailerlite problem but more of a domain (DNX) setting issue
Dominic K. · Founder and CEO · Professional Training & Coaching · September 30, 2025
AMAZING. Customer service is 10 out of 10. User friendliness is a 10 out of 10. And free up to 1000 subscribers for my newsletter was unbeatable. I will be happy to pay for the upgrade once I reach 1k.
Pros: I am not very tech savy but the interface and navigation are super user friendly. Also, support is amazing. I connected with a live person ( [sensitive content hidden]) to help me in the domain authentication process and he was so helpful, friendly, and professional.
Cons: None. I love everything so far. I hit a glitch authenticating my domain but live customer service rep made it painless
