I've been very impressed with MediaValet as a company. They've produced an excellent DAM system at an affordable price, and have excellent customer service -- which is rarely required. I would highly recommend considering the service to prospective customers.
Pros: MediaValet has provided a reliable, user friendly Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution for our brand to manage and share our image assets both with internal staff and outside partners.
Cons: It might be nice to have the option to create short links to shared assets and catalogs. The system creates long URLs that feel a bit bulky when sending via email message to media partners.

Pros: Nice place to store all kinds of media. I really like the categorization features it has and how different teams can organize files and have it be easily accessible. Also impressed with how the software performance has increased over time. I have also been pleasantly surprised by how well the intelligence features work!
Cons: Sometimes things get a little overwhelming trying to find certain things. New interface is keeping things much better.

Pros: I like how mediavalet provides the ability for me to share files with different stakeholders within my organisation and allows us to curate our content which is then uploaded into Mediavalet for distribution.
Cons: The new AI features have altered the search function making it a bit less user intuitive in terms of the search results which come back.

MediaValet is an effective visual content repository and file-sharing service that is easy to use for a broad audience, including those who are not technologically proficient.
Pros: MediaValet is very intuitive for the user, and the search function works well, combining both keywords and meta descriptors with visual themes inside the photos.
Cons: The new interface introduced in 2025 makes it more cumbersome to view images in a large window, which takes more time to evaluate and select photos for specific uses.
Jimmy B. · Editorial Director · Education Management · September 5, 2025
Positive, but frustrated by the new redesign. It's a good service that shot itself in the foot (to put it dramatically)
Pros: It's a great site for file sharing and asset management. It allows us to distribute files internally and externally easily.
Cons: The new redesign is a step backwards. It's a classic case of something being more streamlined but at the cost of usability. I think it's harder to find certain things than it was before, and coworkers constantly ask me to help them understand the new layout.

Very good. The application is user friendly, and customer support is very responsive. Typically, within 12 hours.
Pros: The libraries that are easily accessible and the ease of search. Customer support is quick to respond, typically within 12 hours if not sooner.
Cons: If there is one thing I would change it's making the display setting stick. ie Change to display 200 images, download an image, then display reverts back to 50 images.

Overall, MediaValet is a strong and reliable platform for managing digital assets. Once you get past the learning curve, it makes organizing, searching, and sharing files much more efficient.
Pros: I liked how easy it was to organize and find assets with MediaValet. The search and tagging features are powerful, and sharing through portals and links makes collaboration smooth. The onboarding and support team were also excellent.
Cons: The interface can feel a bit clunky at first, and uploading large files sometimes caused delays or errors. The mobile experience and gallery customization are also fairly limited.
Emma F. · Student Communications · Education Management · September 5, 2025
Overall it has been very helpful although it takes a while to develop a good image back but that would be the case with any such system.
Pros: Everything is easy to find and searchable. Downloads are easy, web portals are fairly easy to work with.
Cons: It is a little difficult to rename a file. Links, especially public ones, are a little chunky to work with.
Kathy J. · Biologist and volunteer manager · Environmental Services · January 15, 2025
Good. We didn't have an media platform previously-- I can't compare it to anything-- but I love that we have this asset now.
Pros: I was recently testing out the search, and was actually pretty impressed at how well it pulled up findings that weren't related to tags. I could type in 'backpack' and get photos of people wearing backpacks-- far more advanced than I was expecting.
Cons: Dislike the inability to change the file name after upload. It's not the most user friendly site. Ultimately there's a lot that can be done within MV, and there's a learning curve.
Andrea G. · Communications Coordinator · Environmental Services · January 15, 2025
So far, I haven't experienced any significant issues while using MediaValet. However, it initially required intensive training to be able to use the application effectively.
Pros: It allows storing files such as images, photos, and documents required by the team to monitor ongoing work or activities in the field. Additionally, it includes descriptions that help explain the uploaded images or documents, enabling the team to better understand the conditions in the field without needing to be physically present.
Cons: Sometimes, some uploaded files are difficult to find or get deleted, requiring them to be reuploaded.
Dirmansyah D. · WASH Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · January 15, 2025
My overall experience is positive. I like how organized Mediavalet is and I enjoy being able to browse photos contributed by my colleagues.
Pros: The ability to host photos belonging to a large group while also including all the necessary details about the photos. I like the bulk edits when you are uploading a number of photos at once.
Cons: Sharing photos from mediavalet by creating a gallery is a bit slow, and the accompanying emails for each photo you share are a bit tedious. When embedding photos, it would be nice to have a way to pull a photo directly from Mediavalet instead of downloading, storing externally and uploading.
Erica G. · Motus Outreach and Analytics Coordinator · Environmental Services · January 15, 2025
Good. . .
Pros: Archive searchability organization accessibility. Embedded Web page /blog creation
Cons: Length of time for uploads. Clunkiness of platform. Poor mobile performance.
Stu M. · Director Strategic Assets · Environmental Services · January 15, 2025
Overall I've found it to be adequate, but I've received secondhand feedback from colleagues that it's not as intuitive as they had hoped. Many of our colleagues also just don't use it, which indicates it's not easy for everyone.
Pros: Customizable portals, lots of meta data, tracking capabilities, and supports a variety of formats.
Cons: Somewhat clunky format, limitations on changing file names, no real mobile solution. Search function doesn't work as well as it should.
Yousif A. · Outreach and Content Specialist · Environmental Services · January 15, 2025
From loggin, search, find, and download files; theres a great experience on every step. Info and details are included too in order to make a fast job in the portal
Pros: Easy access, useful tools and filters to find what you are searching for
Cons: Some files may be slower to start downloading
Jose G. · Brand Manager · Retail · January 14, 2025
good: drag and drop on desktop uploader bad: mobile version not very useful
Pros: Desktop uploader easy to use, drag and drop function is great
Cons: mobile version not friendly to use for MediaValet link, always go back to index page when switch to mobile version
Chia-Ho T. · Post Production manager · Food Production · January 9, 2025
Overall I like Media Valet more than some others I have used. I think it could use a refreshed user interface that is more user friendly for non-technical users.
Pros: The thing that attracted me to MediaValet was the file structure interface for categorizing files. Very similar to a computer file structure which added some familurarity.
Cons: Some features like sharing with lightboxes and galleries can get a little confusing as well as making files available to non users.
Casey L. · Senior Director of Strategic Web Experience · Higher Education · January 8, 2025
I'm very pleased with our decision to go with MediaValet because we have achieved our goal of enabling our team to find all our important assets easily and quickly.
Pros: It's easy to use, it has many options and the MediaValet team is very professional and helpful.
Cons: It takes a long time to set it up and we had to collaborate with many people in our organization to get started.
Andi C. · Website Manager · Hospital & Health Care · January 8, 2025
Easy to use! The search function works well.
Pros: I like that I can send a link to someone to view a piece of content. I also like that it can handle large video files.
Cons: The navigation is not super intuitive, but if you use it more frequently than you remember where to go for functions. When you upload multiple files, such as video, you can't enter all metadata at once if it is the same for all.
Kristin J. · Senior Digital Marketing Strategist · Hospitality · January 8, 2025
Overall, MediaValet is a great product that helps us organize.
Pros: Really helpful for organizing all our marketing assets
Cons: Some functionality is not as easy to use as expected and I wish it had the ability to allow non-accountholders to upload items if I were to share a link for that.
Joanne V. · Consultant · Education Management · January 8, 2025
Has been great overall, I have been able to setup individual public portals for separate brands and customers, so that the assets are available to the target audiences.
Pros: Easy to set up, very intuitive. Easy to train users. Easy to setup administrative policies for vendors and internal users, so that only the pertinent assets are available to the individuals.
Cons: The programming doesn't like hyphens in part numbers. Our company utilizes hyphens in the part number, and when searching, the returns do not always show all of the assets.
Eric K. · Digital Asset Manager · Consumer Electronics · December 18, 2024
So far we are using it for uploading files, but we are having hard time in the connection, probably there is a missing llink like, json generation or sync process
Pros: Bulk uploading, CDN links, categorizations
Cons: CMS integrations, Sync of data is having a problem
Paulo A. · web dev · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · December 18, 2024
My overall experience is amazing. This is the best platform and really easy for all users
Pros: What don't I like! This is by far one of the best DAMs! I love the ability to easily create categories, folders, the ability to assign photos to multiple categories. Portals are amazing. I love the abitity to download image sizes directly from the platform and save sizes regularly used
Cons: I wish there was a way to directly import from other photo librarys; drop box, google drive. I also wish portals could include categories like the regular folders do. I also wish there was a better mobile suite.
Taylor M. · Director of Marketing · Hospitality · December 17, 2024
Overall, I would easily recommend MediaValet to anyone who is looking to take on a Digital Asset Management system.
Pros: We appreciate that MediaValet makes organizing and accessing our images and videos a breeze. The new AI features as well have really added to our ease of access for finding specific images. Also, the ability to create custom templates to download images in different resolutions and dimensions is fantastic.
Cons: I know that it is just in BETA, but the UI between the classic version of MediaValet and the new AI powered HOTDAM is too different that it causes issues for users to re-adjust their understanding of the platform
Guillermo A. · Digital Communications Consultant · Government Administration · December 17, 2024
Overall it is efficient and streamlines our sharing content across the college.
Pros: I like that it houses all of our media under one roof that makes it easy to share across departments.
Cons: For new users navigating the upload process is a bit cumbersome.
Jessie C. · Employee · Marketing and Advertising · December 17, 2024
Overall, MediaValet has been a fantastic and necessary tool to organization our companies digital assets. I wish I had more time to discover and implement all of it's capabilities.
Pros: There are lots of organizational and customizable options available making it easy to create options that work for your company.
Cons: The search engine needs some fine tuning. Infrequent users that don't know the inventory well often are unable to track down what they are looking for. Hopefully the AI implementation of visual recognition will help with this in the new Hot DAM. I would also love the option to upload associated assets that DO NOT show in a search. We have editable files that we don't want everyone to easily access.
