Pros: Procreate is the most user friendly, high value, and professional digital art program I've used. Other bigger computer-based programs have more features in terms of industry work, but procreate knocks it out of the park for creating the art itself. The brush library is excellent and the features are simple yet effective.
Cons: Better options for things like pattern design would be helpful. Some of the methods to achieve good results are clunky. My least favorite thing about the program is the way pixels are obliterated by rotating and moving. I know some of it is inevitable, but it's to an extreme degree that I think is fixable.

I still remember the first time I used it—I was a little nervous at first, but after just two tutorials, I really grew to love it. Since then, it’s been the only app I use for drawing.
Pros: It's the best drawing app I've ever used, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's versatil and with my iPad I can use it everywhere
Cons: To be honest I don't have any cons; maybe the fact that sometimes it gets overheat but is only if you use a lot of resources.

Despite those, I still love using Procreate. And still use it for all my smaller illustrations. It has allowed me to make money with my art much easier.
Pros: I love being able to create beautiful illustrations with Procreate, on-the-go. It's so easy to use. I also love that it is a one-time fee for the app, and no hidden subscriptions like most other design softwares.
Cons: Resizing image or drawings can blur the resolution, even though it was originally crisp. It cannot handle large files as the number of layers will be limited, or that it can cause the app to crash.

Discovered Procreate at work and it really changed my professional and private life, not kidding. Also the exporting readiness is a time saver
Pros: 6 month later I love Procreate even more. You buy the app once and you get all the updates for free after that.
Cons: I wish you could somehow choose what layer you draw on without having to click so many times to open the folder list, then the right folder, then the pen, then the screen... The pen size and color for each layer is still not there, and also grouped layer cannot get a mask.

I love the brushes and I use it 95% of the time when drawing, I barely use photoshop anymore because I feel procreate is easy and more efficient to use when completing my projects.
Pros: It's excellent value for the cost of the software. It's is very affordable and performs as well as photoshop in terms of speed, and ease of use.
Cons: The functions are a bit limited in comparison to its competitors and I don't like that I cannot export PSD files with masks in tact.

I started drawing digitally about a year ago using an iPad and Apple pencil. I love being able to erase my mistakes and this gives me so much confidence as an artist. There are so many options with brushes etc and it's so easy to save my work for various purposes. I am looking forward to trying out photo editing and animations.
Pros: I am able to create absolutely anything I can dream up with the wide range of tools. I love being able to download more brushes etc for my artwork. Because the software is so popular, it's easy to find tutorials so I can upskill myself. Digital art has become a really fun new hobby for me.
Cons: I find the learning curve sometimes a little steep, especially with layers and masks. If I don't use the programme again in a while sometimes I will forget how to do some things. There are so many options and features it can feel overwhelming.

Overall the experience has been amazing. I wish the program were available on android and PC, as I would readily use it on other devices as well.
Pros: Procreate is incredibly easy to use and intuitive. The UI is clean and most tools and sub tools are kept out of the way unless in use, making the workspace less visually cluttered. Many of its tools (such as selection, color fill, and brush smoothing) work much better than expensive PC programs.
Cons: The largest issue is the layer limit for the program. I understand the limits are due to hardware limitations, but I'd rather be able to make more layers and risk the program lagging, as the projects I make require many layers.

Pros: semplice, intuitivo e fluido.

Overall I think it's worth the knee time purchase price, which is very reasonable compared to other apps which require a monthly subscription which isn't sustainable for many starting out artists.
Pros: I likes all of the features it has and the customisability of them. The different brushes allow you to create alot of textures as well as the ability to create your own brushes.
Cons: The navigation of everything can be a bit overwhelming and confusing at the start but then you get used to the layout of everything it becomes easier.

Pros: I love how smooth and intuitive Procreate is for drawing. The variety of brushes and tools makes it so easy to bring ideas to life. Plus, being able to work directly on the iPad feels incredibly natural, almost like drawing on paper
Cons: it’s only available on iPads, which limits access for some users

I have had an extremely positive experience with Procreate, it has taken me from a beginner to an experienced artist and has been a pleasure to use.
Pros: It is a great Programme for casual and beginner artists, very well-designed GUI which can be difficult to navigate for the first few hours. Still, you quickly get the hang of it as it is straightforward when compared to other similar programs. Also, it is cheap compared to similar programs like photoshop.
Cons: It lacks a few core tools which you would expect to be present. For example, there is not a paint bucket tool which for a digital art program is quite surprising. Other than that I have little else to critique

So far I’ve loved my experience with procreate. No issues with losing my work although you should always back up your work regardless. I will continue to use procreate in the future, even when I decide to move onto industry standard software.
Pros: I love the simple interface. Maybe this was just my experience but I didn’t need in-depth tutorials on how the app functioned. Coming from someone who had literally 0 experience in using digital art applications.
Cons: Due to the simple interface, it packs a few functions found in many other digital art programs. This can be hard when moving onto industry standard software and having no clue because procreate never had them.

It's great tool for quick skechers and full illustrations with an extension brush library, built-in time lapse feature and file management system.
Pros: It's an intuitive and fun to use 2D drawing and illustration tool.
Cons: The 3D features are not useful in an actual workflow. Also lacks certain features for manga and comic drawing.

I’ve been using procreate for around 5 years now and have had no major issues with it. I think I don’t use it often enough to remember all the hidden features but it is quite simple to use.
Pros: I love the ease of using the app. It’s simple enough for beginners to pick up and has the basics any digital artist would need.
Cons: Sometimes it’s hard to memorize all the hidden features.

My overall experience with procreate is positive and the app does as advertised.
Pros: What I liked most about Procreate is the vast amount of features.
Cons: What I liked least about procreate is the learning curve

Overall,, this is the best art platform ever made, for artists, game developers, pixel art artists, graphic designers, even animators, this is an all in one solution, my go-to for all things design
Pros: It's hard not to make this review a massive one; from tools to functionalities, everything about ProCreate works like a charm. Custom pencils, importing and exporting assets—for me, industry-leading products that even made me completely discard Adobe Suite tools
Cons: The only caveat for me is that the software is pretty much stuck in the Apple ecosystem, which makes it hard at times to share and integrate with other devices.

Pros: With Procreate, we can easily create graphic designs and sketches and present them using the AirPlay mode.
Cons: Although it probably isn't important for most artists, I wish there was a collaboration tool to work on designs together.

Pros: The software is easy to use, it can be used by professionals and beginners. It has a lot of brushes and tools.
Cons: Procreate costs too much in my opinion, you could find free softwares with less tool but useful like it.

I use Procreate to make YouTube Thumbnails, album art, cartoons and more. It’s intuitive and easy to use, with only a mild learning curve.
Pros: Procreate is more of a drawing and illustration tool, to me, than it is a Photoshop replacement. If you’re expecting to repair a damaged, old family photo, it may not be suited for that. If you’re creating digital art, Procreate excels! It has tons of brushes, layers, effects and everything else you’d need to make some first rate digital drawings, for a great price. Give it a try!
Cons: It is somewhat limited, if you’re working with photographs, such as re-coloring, image masks and etc. There are better apps for those purposes.

I started using this program in 2018, and quickly discovered that it was a game changer in my designing process. My designs became so much more fun, and my creativity exploded with all of the features!
Pros: The ability to create your own brushes, fonts, and endless design concepts with the easy to use features.
Cons: A big learning curve, as there are limitless options. It is easy to become overwhelmed.
Jenna F. · Tattoo Artist · Consumer Services · January 10, 2024
Pros: So many features to create assets for designing!
Cons: Might be overwhelming for a new user since there are so many features to learn.

I use Procreate as an image editor, photo editor and animation tool. It doesn´t have so much tools as expensive alternatives, but for small artists it is great
Pros: Easy to use, many usefull tutorials, helpfull cominity
Cons: Limit of the project size: the bigger the canvas size - the less number of layers are available
