My overall experience with float is great, because it makes it so much easier to purchase things for our clients and our company.
Pros: I like how easy it is to make purchases for our company, and also how easy it is to submit the receipts to get reimbursed.
Cons: I disliked the colour of this card as it is the same colour as my mastercard and I have accidentally used my float business card for my personal use because I thought it was my mastercard.

Float does resource scheduling well without overcomplicating it. If your main pain point is visibility into team capacity and workload distribution, it solves that problem cleanly. Not a full project management replacement but a solid complement to whatever else you're running.
Pros: The visual timeline makes it easy to see who's working on what at a glance. Scheduling and capacity planning are intuitive and it doesn't take long for team leads to get comfortable with it. Good for keeping projects from stepping on each other.
Cons: Time tracking side is more limited than expected and reporting options could be deeper. Integrations with other tools work but feel a bit basic.

Overall, it’s been a positive experience. It’s great for resource planning and easy to use, but could use more advanced features for reporting and analytics.
Pros: I like how clean and easy the interface is. It makes scheduling and managing resources really straightforward.
Cons: It can be a bit limited with reporting and deeper project tracking features. Sometimes it is hard to get what I need.

Overall, a great time-tracking platform. Easy to learn for beginners with great customer support and training.
Pros: I love the ease, layout, design, colors, and capabilities to schedule and block time for myself and others. Super easy software to navigate. Easy to integrate calendars for faster time tracking.
Cons: Scheduling project time for an extensive team can be intimidating at first, but with time comes ease.

Overall, my experience with Float has been very positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly tool that makes managing schedules and team workloads much more straightforward. The visual layout and real-time updates help keep everything organized and transparent, which is especially useful when juggling multiple projects or shifting priorities.
Pros: What stands out most about Float is how intuitive and visual the scheduling experience is. The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to map out projects, assign team members, and adjust timelines in real time without getting bogged down in complexity.
Cons: One drawback of Float is that, while the interface is clean and easy to use, it can feel a bit limited when you need more detailed reporting or deeper customization. If you’re looking for highly granular analytics or advanced filtering, the built-in tools may not go as far as you’d like.

This allows me to look at the calendar for holidays so I will never plan a “dead” project. It helps us keep track of our budget and billable hours so we do not lose everything.
Pros: It shows me on a timeline, when people are available. This is adequate; I wasn’t really expecting the colors to make much sense or be an overwhelming mess but surprisingly it worked well enough for our clients. Okay, the block view works great for seeing the blocks of work I need to do during the day. And the program did not freeze up after I entered all the employees’ information (which took way longer than expected).
Cons: The mobile version of this application is completely ridiculous. Once I enter a task, I am forever stuck in some pop-up and I have to clear my entire browser history to escape. If I use the Google calendar feature to connect this application to my own calendar, I am unable to adjust the meeting times. They remain as scheduled at the bottom of each day’s block, basically “stuck” there and very frustrating.

Float has been a game changer for my team. The visual timelines make managing tasks easy, and the calendar view keeps everything organized in one place. The interface is simple and intuitive, so my team picked it up right away. Customer support is quick, and time tracking helps us stay on budget. Worth every penny
Pros: I’ve been using Float at work for a while, and honestly, the Resource Scheduling with Visual Timelines has changed how we operate. Now, I can actually see everyone’s workload at a glance. No more accidentally piling too much on someone or scrambling to shift things around. Making adjustments is quick and painless
Cons: Float works pretty well on desktop, but the mobile app has a few annoying syncing glitches. Every now and then, things just don’t line up right, and it throws off our workflow. It’s frustrating. I really hope the team tackles this in future updates so using Float feels smooth, no matter what device you’re on.

I no longer have to use my personal card for business travel since I have this application and that has been a huge relief because waiting for reimbursement is the absolute worst. When I create an expense report, the float app will automatically match my receipts to the corresponding charges, so I won’t lose them in my bag or forget about them. This application keeps me from having to complete a huge amount of paperwork at the end of the month, which is honestly all I really care about.
Pros: The float app works well and I don’t have to go through 20 different steps to find my budget and past spending history as I would with American Express. I’m able to quickly view my budget and spending history without having to dig through a lot of menus, which is nice since I’m waiting for the bus and I just want to check my balance. It’s similar to revolut, everything is right there.
Cons: It’s so frustrating to have to enter two emails separately every time I am trying to send an invoice to multiple people. The receipt scanner is just a camera and does not pick up the text most of the time so I end up typing in all of it. Ugh, the bus is late again and I’m so hungry at this point. Rewards may be a little under where I’d like to see them, but hey you can’t have everything.

After trying out the free trial, I went with another platform that was better suited to my needs. Float looks great, it just wasn't the right fit for me.
Pros: As a freelancer, I liked how clearly Float visualizes time and availability. It’s easy to block out client work, personal time, capacity, juggling multiple projects etc.
Cons: Float is clearly built with teams and agencies in mind. Many of the resource and capacity features felt unnecessary for a solo workflow and I didn’t need a dedicated tool just for scheduling.

Pros: It is very easy to use. I also like the filter so I can see just me. We are using to get a general sense of tracking time.
Cons: Some views are "too much" to look at. It is very crowded and hard to read when looking at everyone.
Anonymous User · Administrative Assistant · Higher Education · July 31, 2025
Float helps to spread the loads and see who is too taken, but need some time for team to take habit to keep it up to date.
Pros: Schedule view readable, fast drag drop, clear capacity forecasts, simple adjustments, Float offers all needed for a better organisation.
Cons: There are fields stay rigid (tags, roles) and if several edit same time we sometimes have small shifts or need reload which breaks the flow.

It has increased punctuality by being able to submit projects on time as a team and streamline each process. Having a real-time overview makes teamwork easier.
Pros: What I love most about Float is the ability to ensure equal work among the entire team and a more productive performance among everyone by having the ability to plan each project more strategically, providing perfect monitoring that helps us understand the progress of the work and what needs to be improved. It helps us greatly meet our team goals and immediately manage any work irregularities that arise.
Cons: Their performance has been extremely useful, with no glitches or poor service. The entire operation has been accurate, and their tools are fully integrated.

It has been great to work with Float so far. Compared to other programs I have used at other jobs, this one is very efficient. The process is streamlined end to end.
Pros: Float is easy to use and navigate. This program is very user friendly and can be taught to any employee.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about Float. Possibly, they could do some sort of update to speed up loading time.
Cameron W. · Trainer · Sports · April 21, 2025

Its okay, they can improve on UI and color schemes to mske it look better
Pros: Ease of usage, its quite straight forward.
Cons: User Interface, which is so Basic.?The colour combination on screen are not great, so I get confused where to find what

Very impressive. Easy to use and reports are easy to download
Pros: The ease of managing projects costs and scheduling
Cons: When deleting an entry, you sometimes need to refresh the page to change the cursor back to normal
Natalie H. · Office Manager · Construction · February 11, 2025

An excellent tool for project tracking and control, workload management, and employee work time. If you need to organize and structure internal areas of your company, this is the software you need to get started
Pros: An excellent tool for project management and time management, both for yourself and your work team
Cons: Although it is very comprehensive, it lacks tools to personalize more detailed or complex tasks for assigning to staff, like Trello or Asana does
Natalia Isabel R. · Customer Management · Logistics and Supply Chain · February 6, 2025

Pros: Float is very easy to use and it helps me plan my team's resources effectively. I can easily see everyone's availability and assign tasks. It also integrates with other tools that I use
Cons: Nothing really bad, except the reporting could be better. It would be helpful to have more options for visualizing data and generating reports
Federico T. · Software Engineer · Information Technology and Services · January 9, 2025
Easy-to-use tool, efficient but needs more flexibility.
Pros: Float Streamlines project scheduling and resource allocation.
Cons: Float has limited customization options for unique workflows.

A complete improved planning of each person's work, delivering tasks that allows for better performance and progress
Pros: The entire visualization of the work allows us to have it better managed by giving a daily plan to each person according to their role in the company so that the work flow is equitable and covers the needs of each one. The production schedule has allowed us to have the progress in real time so that we can move forward with everything at the same time and deliver projects at the same time
Cons: Nothing bothers me and I have not had any type of circumstance that makes me angry
Thomas C. · civil engineer · Plastics · October 11, 2024
I've been using Float for 3 years now, and my experience with it has been very positive. I use it every day, and it has made scheduling tasks and tracking progress so much easier for me. It’s a tool that’s become an essential part of my workflow, helping me stay organized and manage projects more efficiently.
Pros: Ease of use, drag-and-drop scheduling, time tracking, clean interface
Cons: Very basic Gantt Chart features, lacking options when it comes to exporting schedules
Miłosz J. · Project Manager · Hospitality · September 9, 2024
Pros: Easy to use and understand. The new introduction of a mobile app has been great as you can now see your schedule wherever you are. The notifications system is good and allows you to be notified of changes immediately.
Cons: Our business allows multiple consultants to be assigned to specific work. In Float, you are unable to easily find other consultants working on the same project as you are without manually searching for it.
Aakash P. · Accessibility Consultant · Information Technology and Services · August 20, 2024
