Jet Reports

Pros: What I like most about JetReports is the flexibility—it lets me build the reports I need without waiting on IT. I can get up-to-date numbers right in Excel, which makes decision-making a lot faster and more reliable.

Cons: For users not familiar with reporting tools or Excel-based solutions, Jet Reports can be a bit difficult to pick up at first. While it's Excel-based, mastering its advanced features like custom queries and the intricacies of its reporting functions can take time.

Pros: Easy to use as this tool is an add on excel so we can combine with excel formula. Formula really easy to understand. Many source data we can integrate with.

Cons: The version updates are released quite frequently, so we need to ensure our Jet Reports are regularly updated to stay compatible with the latest versions.

Pros: direct excel integration (no need to learn a whole alien UI) •scheduling reports without me babysitting •can actually drill into numbers instead of exporting 10 csvs •clients stop asking “where’s the latest version” every damn hour

Cons: setup wasn’t smooth, needed IT to help me connect the ERP (wasted a morning on calls) •some reports lag like they’re stuck in 2008 •UI could look less like windows vista, seriously •if you don’t know excel formulas you’re dead in the water

Pros: JET provides great customer support. The reporting tools we have gained has brought us great value for what we paid. We would be lost without our JET reports.

Cons: There is a learning curve to writing the reports, but the tools within to help write functions is very straightforward. Again, customer service and training helps get you on a great path with reports.

Pros: Easy to learn and quick to get started Strong core reporting functionality Excellent support from knowledgeable resources (special thanks to [sensitive content hidden] )

Cons: Some feature limitations compared to more advanced tools Customization options could be broader Older Jet Hub versions have had issues however I have not experiance the same issues post updates

Pros: The best thing about jet reports is that is highly customizable & integrates with our accounting software.

Cons: One issue with Jet reports is there are sometimes bugs when an update to the software is done. Sometimes reports need to be reconfigured a little.

Pros: Being able to create formulas to set up dynamic ways to pull all account numbers using dimensions.

Cons: Sometimes the formulas are complicated, but [sensitive contnet hidden] is a great resource to help update old reports with better formulas.

Pros: I am able to build out reports one time, and have a vast amount of data at my fingertips. I have worked with [sensitive content hidden] with Insight Software, with her knowledge and expertise with Jet Reports we have made some great reports that our executive team uses every day.

Cons: Not so much a fault of Jet, but in Business Central there are so many tables and options it can be hard to know where to pull data from. That being said, having an expert like [sensitive content hidden] was a game changer.

Pros: Jet Analytics has saved us significant time running our financials. It's highly customizable, integrates with multiple data sources, and the support team—especially [sensitive content hidden]—is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

Cons: There are times when the report will not work or will give an error message when running and you need to fix the issue in order for your reports to work again. You do need to understand coding a bit to fix issues.

Pros: The type of data you can extract and manipulate in excel that you cannot get from reports in Business Central!

Cons: If you don't have knowledge on how to build reports in JET through excel, it becomes very difficult. I wish there was a wizard or drag and drop option like we have in Salesforce.com reports.

Pros: The system is user-friendly, allowing users to easily grasp the basics without needing prior SQL knowledge. Most reports populate data swiftly, which enhances efficiency. Additionally, the independence gained from not having to rely on IT for data dumps and subsequent Excel modifications is invaluable. Results being in Excel format makes sharing and further analysis straightforward.

Cons: Mastering the more advanced features can be time-consuming. We've required external consulting to complete some of our more complex reports. Furthermore, large reports can run slowly, especially when connected to cloud data sources.

Pros: It integrates automatically with Excel services, and also offers the possibility of generating financial reports thanks to its compatibility with ERP and Dynamics 365. It allows you to create new detailed reports of the company’s financial costs and expenses without the need for any type of programming, just by using the templates designed within this platform, you can create new reports and detailed reports in a complete manner. The collection and access of data in real time helps to collect new data and incorporate it into each of the reports you are making. This helps a lot, since the data collection is automated and allows you to save time and money, since it is done automatically. All of this collected data can be used within each report you are making.

Cons: I have not noticed and type of negative factor about Jet Reports, due to its excellent compatibility with Excel service and BI services. In general, this platform has helped to make better decisions within the company, and I consider that we have not presented any type of failure or a negative factor during the use of this platform, to generate new financial reports and financial expenses schedules.

Pros: I enjoy how customizable Jet Reports is. It allows the consumer to splice and dice the data the way management wants it presented without unnecessary fluff or out of the box reporting constraints.

Cons: Every so often load times become tedious/running in background takes sometimes over double the amount of time.

Pros: Ease of seeing data while running reports

Cons: Lack of report speed time and CS help when needed.

Pros: Users can design reports directly within Excel, leveraging familiar tools and functions. Once you are confident with the Jet functions, building report becomes very easy.

Cons: The learning curve, while manageable, can be a bit steep for users who are not familiar with Excel or ERP systems, requiring additional time and resources for training.

Pros: It's very user friendly and easy to create your own report.

Cons: It's CPU and memory hungry, slow computer will take forever for the report to run.

Pros: Jet reports gives us a lot of flexibility in writing reports. From the simplest data dump to complex reports linking various tables, we can do so much with it.

Cons: Lack of documentation. There is some out there, which is great, but it would be helpful to have more learning resources.

Pros: Jet Reports is an extremely efficient and easy-to-use data query and reporting solution. It uses the power and familiarity of Excel. We use it to create all our financial statements and other ad hoc financial reporting needs. Many of our monthly workpapers use the query power of Jet to bring data in to analyze. I wouldn’t be able to do my job effectively without Jet Reports.

Cons: Some of the more advanced features of Jet Reports are a little more difficult to learn. Our Jet Reports consultant, [sensitive content hidden], has been amazing at creating any report we asked for. Jet Reports, along with [sensitive content hidden] help, has saved our company many hours in processing and analyzing data efficiently.

Pros: Jet Reports is intuitive, easy to learn, and Excel-based. The Excel-based reporting feature quickly enabled our Accounting team to learn, write reports, and deploy. Accounting team is able to develop reports without depending on IT department and archaic reporting methods that require programming knowledge.

Cons: The more complex reports may render blank rows and values, but with Excel tips/tricks, users are able to improve the appearance and report details.

Pros: The ease of use and customized reports allows us visibility into our data and allows us to dissect complex data and correct any production or inventory issues in real time

Cons: There could be better visualization tools.

Pros: Once you learn how to build jet reports. Reporting is endless.

Cons: It's not as user friendly at first. Definitely need some training videos.

Pros: Ability to retrieve large amounts of data. Also ability to retireve very small specif data and save some processing formulas in excel.

Cons: Customizing reports can be a litte challenging some times
