Samsara

Pros: The biggest advantage for us has been the visibility into safety events and driver behavior. Samsara has helped us move toward a much more proactive safety process instead of constantly reacting after incidents happen. The video footage, safety inbox, coaching tools, and reporting features have all been extremely useful. We also like how easy the platform is to navigate compared to some other systems.

Cons: Like any platform, there are occasional technical issues and learning curves. We’ve run into a few HOS/split sleeper calculation issues that required manual review, and there are times where we’d like more flexibility with certain reporting or customization features. Overall though, the positives outweigh the negatives.

Pros: The quality of products, service and support are top notch. Samsara has allowed me (and the company) to track our assets with ease. There are reports that can be set up that make some/most reporting more simple. Great value

Cons: Learning to navigate the webstore. Options in the store were difficult to find until learning to navigate properly.

Pros: being able to see where my drivers are at all times and the break down of truck information. information and communication is good.

Cons: drivers complain about the setup and where it is located in truck mounting aspects. the other area of need for improvement is sometimes the system will glitch and not have great service. from what i am being told however i have never had a personal issue with it

Pros: They actually work they have been great so far when I do get to talk to someone they are very helpful

Cons: Nothing yet probably them least thing I dislike is all the emailing back and forth just because I don’t have time during the day to check or answer email

Pros: We have had a great experience with the customer support team at Samsara. Their representatives are always professional, responsive, and very knowledgeable. Anytime we have an issue or question, they respond quickly and work hard to resolve it as soon as possible.

Cons: that our account rep had been changed after we signed the contract and we were not informed until I called looking for my rep because I didn't receive any answer to my email

Pros: The account reps are very helpful and willing to tailor content to your needs. The dashboard and software are easy to use.

Cons: I have not had an issue that my account rep wasn't able to handle. The concerns that I have had, I received a quick reply.

Pros: We like the protection of our assets, and the data Samsara is able to provide. We have been protected from dishonest people in regard to vehicle accidents.

Cons: None. Samsara has answered all questions that I have had over the years and helped us to implement the data to understand what we are doing well and what we need to do better.

Pros: What I like to most about Samsara is the Ease of Use, Tracking, Performance and Speed and Customer Support.

Cons: The one pet peave I have about Samsara is that to obtain 1 minor report (start / stop times) would double our cost.

Pros: I love the ease of use and that they are very innovative. They are constantly looking for ways to improve the software.

Cons: I do not have any complaints. They have been by far the best ELD provider we have used. We are pleased.

Pros: I like the safety inbox and the safety scores and all of the focus around driving safely and the things that managers can do through the driver app to encourage and reward safe driving.

Cons: Certain things are slow to implement. For instance, when there's a "right turn keep moving" sign on a stop sign. Those appear in the safety inbox as violations but have to be manually dismissed.

Pros: The customer support was excellent. And the products is easy install making my job of setting these up very easy

Cons: The app might be a little bit finicky and from time to time When using it on a mobile phoneThere are some issues

Pros: Value for the money, communication great customer service and very knowledgeable people, and easy to install

Cons: All good , everything you need is with the same company camera and ecc. If you need any product can he to you in couple days

Pros: Many valuable features.There are many of them we don't use, but the ones that we do use are extremely helpful to our operations.

Pros: The user interface easy to use. Good driver app as well. Lots of information that’s needed to follow our fleet.

Cons: Customer service takes time to respond. If it was faster response time would be better. Needs better tutorial online

Pros: Samsara has been great to work with on our GPS needs. Vehicle CEL, Tracking, Driver scores, Safety videos, and much more. They have been a great help.

Cons: Sometimes the cost can be the issue. They have worked with us on cost and the other item is when you do add a new gps device many times you get extra bills and not consolidated billing.

Pros: Samsara's website is easy to navigate and easy to use, making managing my driver's logs and vehicles a breeze. And their customer service is always top notch!

Cons: The only complaint that I have about Samsara is that they've recently added a search bar to the website that is not in an ideal place and I keep clicking on ot accidentally. Minor inconvenience.

Pros: The Samsara product is easy to use and customer support is 2nd to none. Go with Samsara and you won't be disappointed.

Cons: Honestly, I have nothing negative to say. The samsara product, the customer support, the ability to run reports, asset tracking, and AI integration are perfect for my company's needs.

Pros: Real-time GPS tracking gives our dispatch team full visibility of the fleet at all times. HOS monitoring and DVIR reporting keep us FMCSA compliant without extra hassle. The dashcam and driver alert features add a strong layer of safety accountability. Samsara also offers online courses and live real-time webinars, which have been very helpful for onboarding and training our team.

Cons: For a moving company, the platform has more features than we need, which makes it feel overwhelming at times. The interface can be complex for non-technical staff, and the learning curve is steeper than expected for a smaller operation. A simplified version or industry-specific setup for moving companies would be a welcome improvement.

Pros: What I like most about Samsara is the amount of detailed information it provides about my fleet in real time. The weather map is extremely helpful, and I really like being able to see the speed limit signs along a driver’s route when a speeding event occurs. The system also makes it easy to quickly identify who is out of compliance at a glance, and the location tracking has been very accurate.

Cons: What I like least is that the app has recently started automatically signing users out several times a day, which can be frustrating and interrupt workflow. Other than that, the platform has been very reliable and useful for managing our fleet.

Pros: Samsara makes tracking your trailers and knowing their location very convenient. The company makes it very easy to locate and change a bad unit. Product is very much worth the money.

Cons: It would be great if they would color the bad assests red on the tracking map. We could see at one glance if there is an issue with a device.

Pros: Direct feedback from each vehicle, with video footage, is great for monitoring a fleet from one location. Samsara's dashboards and reporting make it easy to extract information. The ability to modify speed limits on our coverage area map to match the actual limits is great. When I need customer support, it is readily available.

Cons: At times, many coaching alerts are generated that are barely actionable. If my team does not have logins or apps, scheduling behavior counseling is time-consuming.

Pros: Samsara helps me hold my employees accountable and keep my payroll accurate! Samsara also helps my business ensure that we are not over-billing our customers.

Cons: I don't have any dislikes about Samsara. It is a wonderful software that does way more than just track GPS coordinates!

Pros: The real-time GPS tracking and camera integration are the strongest parts of Samsara. The platform is easy to monitor for fleet operations, driver behavior, equipment tracking, and ELD compliance all in one place. Installation and activation are usually straightforward, and the dashboard gives dispatch and fleet teams quick access to vehicle status, diagnostics, and trip history. The live tracking accuracy and camera footage help a lot during incidents, coaching, and operational monitoring.

Cons: Sometimes the AI driver alerts can feel overly sensitive and trigger too many notifications for drivers. Certain hardware troubleshooting situations, activation issues, or cable compatibility problems can also take extra time to resolve. Pricing can become expensive for larger fleets when adding multiple devices, cameras, and subscriptions together.
