Overall, my experience with ManageEngine OpManager was positive. It helped provide a good overview of the network and made it easier to monitor systems and detect issues early. The tool offers many useful features for daily monitoring and troubleshooting. At the same time, some functions were not immediately clear, so there was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Once I became more familiar with it, it was a helpful and reliable solution for network monitoring.
Pros: What I liked most about ManageEngine OpManager was its user-friendly interface and the overall visibility it provides across the network. It made it easy to monitor devices, spot issues early, and respond quickly when something needed attention. I also liked the alerting and reporting features, because they helped save time and gave a clear overview of system health without being overly complicated.
Cons: What I liked least about ManageEngine OpManager was that some parts were not very intuitive. Certain tasks or settings were not immediately clear, so it sometimes took extra time to understand how to do them properly.

Very Good monitoring tool. Especially for the larger organisations. You can have monitor your infra on single page only.
Pros: Very Smooth Managing of applications. Like Network switches firewalls and servers as well. User interface and GUI also awesome.
Cons: No cons. Sometime its needed go deep to deeper for the options. Interface graphs values are so small.

Overall, great product for the money. The ability to have SNMP monitoring and see all of our assets is extremely helpful. I would like to see the ability to manage all of the tools from one interface though.
Pros: OpManager is easy to quick and easy to setup and manage. The interface is good and creates the necessary reporting to get started
Cons: The reporting, the sensors need more options and the ability to customize more the email reports. Also, need to make it easier to pause a sensor.

Very happy.A complete and thorough monitoring system that I am pleased to administer. Our NOC loves the Dashboard and notifications
Pros: Very complete monitoring system. Able to monitor Network devices along with on prem servers. Integration with Meraki a huge plus.
Cons: Lots to learn. Simple monitor settings and threshold modifications are hard to locate. Sometimes I need to temporarily tweak settings for short periods of time.

Overall experience with ME OPManager has been excellent. I use it on a daily basis. I get information on any interface issues, connectivity issues, Bandwidth, Memory & CPU utilisations. Based on these reports, I take action to mitigate these issues in time before they impact the network. We have enabled device monitoring through SNMP & we also use the configuration management capabilities of the OpManager to take Configuration backups & uploading.
Pros: It's a very user-friendly, efficient, reliable and cost-effective networking management tool. Easy to integrate with the running network. You can be up & running with this tool in no time.
Cons: Nothing as yet. I have been using this tool for more than a year now and I have not come across any issue as such.
Narender S. · Senior Network Administrator · Public Relations and Communications · April 21, 2026
For what our company needs, it works pretty well. We don't rely on it for APM or deep network monitoring — we use other dedicated tools for those that give us more flexibility and options. OpManager fills its role without overcomplicating things or breaking the budget, and for that use case it does the job.
Pros: Licensing is affordable compared to similar tools — you get solid coverage for the price. Having alerts centralized in one place is genuinely useful, and it supports a wide range of device types without needing separate tools, and it monitors a variety of services. Once thresholds are dialed in, notifications are consistent and severity categorization helps when triaging multiple issues at once. Support is quick and helpful.
Cons: Network monitoring out of the box isn't great — to get anything meaningful out of it you need add-ons, and those start adding up fast. What initially looks like an affordable solution can get expensive once you factor in everything you actually need. S

The tool has been a valuable resource to our organization. It has done very well for us and allowed us to be on top of many of our critical systems and gives us the ability to stay on top of our work.
Pros: It is a straight forward tool that allows us to monitor a moderate size solution. And Support is amazing!
Cons: Failover is a little bit of a chore, even if it is a simple tool. Getting the share to work with a NAS and the necessary credentials can be hard to get working, and if something happens the rebuild is all or nothing to get going.

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been positive, particularly for SNMP monitoring and traditional network infrastructure. It performs well in device monitoring, asset management, and network performance tracking, helping in proactive troubleshooting and minimizing downtime. The customization and reporting capabilities support operational needs, and once configured properly, it becomes a stable monitoring solution. However, in environments with cloud-managed solutions like Cisco Meraki, some limitations exist in terms of deep visibility and real-time insights. Despite that, considering its cost-effectiveness and core monitoring capabilities, it remains a practical and reliable tool for network operations.
Pros: What I like most about ManageEngine OpManager is its strong SNMP-based monitoring and centralized visibility across network devices. It provides reliable monitoring for device availability, interface utilization, and performance, which is very useful in day-to-day network operations. The device management and asset visibility features are also helpful, allowing us to maintain an inventory of network devices and track their status from a single dashboard. Additionally, the customization options for dashboards, alerts, and reports make it easier to align monitoring with operational requirements. From a cost perspective, it offers good value for money compared to other enterprise monitoring tools.
Cons: One of the main challenges with ManageEngine OpManager is the learning curve, especially during the initial setup and when configuring advanced monitoring or integrations. Proper tuning of alerts and thresholds requires time and experience. In terms of cloud and modern network environments like Cisco Meraki, the tool has limited native integration, and deeper visibility often depends on APIs, which adds complexity. The alerting system can also generate noise if not fine-tuned. From a security perspective, while basic role-based access is available, more advanced security controls and granular access management could be improved.

In my experience, ManageEngine OpManager is an overall well-built product that is easy to integrate with multi-platform devices and diverse infrastructure environments.
Pros: ManageEngine OpManager delivers a unified, centralized dashboard that enables comprehensive monitoring and seamless visibility of all data flows across the infrastructure.
Cons: Alert Noise and Tuning: Without proper customization, it can generate excessive alerts, making it challenge.

The initial setup is relatively straightforward, and the dashboards and visualization tools are helpful for both monitoring and reporting. It’s especially valuable in environments with mixed vendors, as it supports a broad range of devices without requiring multiple tools.
Pros: Ease of use. Things are very straight forward One of the biggest advantages is how quickly you can get it up and running. The UI is intuitive, even for teams without deep network monitoring experience.
Cons: I cant think of any. Basic setup is easy, but fine-tuning (alerts, thresholds, workflows) can take time and requires a learning curve.
Nitish B. · Tech System Specialist · Education Management · April 8, 2026
Overall, the experience has been good. It helps us monitor network performance, reduce downtime, and quickly identify issues.
Pros: OpManager gives good visibility of network devices, servers, and performance from a single dashboard. Monitoring and alerts are easy to configure.
Cons: Some advanced features take a little time to explore initially, but overall the tool works smoothly for daily monitoring tasks.
Anonymous User · Senior Technical Support Executive · Information Technology and Services · April 3, 2026
It has been a good experience. It takes a little bit of time to get things fully configured and get rid of the false negative monitoring. It is definitely easier to manage and a better value than our previous PRTG deployment.
Pros: Ease of use and setup. Set up a dashboard and map without much effort. I like being able to view servers by application and being able to get more info on the apps. Agent is not required.
Cons: Status reporting is mixed. Servers show needs attention because manufacture name changed on VM. Basic login and SNMP discovery would not resolve the issue. The only real fix I found was to deploy the agent. Security scoring is a bit confusing. I would like to be able to see what is missing from the scoring to be able to improve the overall score.

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been very positive, as it provides a reliable and efficient way to monitor and manage network infrastructure across multiple environments. The tool offers strong visibility into device performance, easy troubleshooting through alerts and dashboards, and supports a wide range of devices in multi-vendor setups. While the initial setup and some advanced configurations can be a bit complex, once implemented, it significantly improves network uptime, reduces manual effort, and delivers good value for money for day-to-day operations.
Pros: What I like most about ManageEngine OpManager is its easy deployment and user-friendly interface, along with powerful SNMP-based monitoring that provides real-time visibility into network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. The tool offers excellent device discovery, customizable dashboards, and reliable alerts, which help in quick troubleshooting and reducing downtime, while also delivering detailed performance metrics and strong value for money for enterprise environments.
Cons: What I like least about ManageEngine OpManager is that the initial setup and advanced configuration can be complex, especially in large environments, and the user interface feels somewhat outdated compared to newer tools. Additionally, some advanced features require extra licensing, reporting customization is limited in certain cases, and performance may slow down when managing a large number of devices, with support response times occasionally being slower than expected.

Pros: It provides real-time visibility into the entire IT infrastructure—including servers, routers, switches, and virtual environments—through a single dashboard. This makes it easy to track performance, detect issues early, and reduce downtime.

Pros: I appreciate ManageEngine OpManager's user-friendly interface, comprehensive network monitoring, real-time alerts, and customizable dashboards, which simplify network management and enhance efficiency.
