Overall, Microsoft Teams is a robust and highly effective collaboration platform that significantly improves communication, productivity, and teamwork. I recommend it to organizations of any size looking for an all-in-one communication and collaboration solution.
Pros: Microsoft Teams has become an essential part of our daily workflow. It combines chat, video meetings, file sharing, and collaboration tools into one platform, making it easy to stay connected whether your team is in the office or working remotely. One of the features I appreciate most is how seamlessly Teams integrates with Microsoft 365 applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Scheduling meetings, sharing documents, and collaborating in real time is incredibly efficient. The chat feature is intuitive, and organizing conversations by channels helps keep projects and communications well structured. The video conferencing functionality is reliable and includes useful features such as screen sharing, meeting recordings, live captions, and background effects. Teams also makes it easy to communicate with internal employees and external partners.
Cons: Integrating data from File Explorer to MS Teams based files was a significant undertaking and very labor instensive to recreate folders that matched the same format from File Explorer. Additionally, another drawback is that Teams can feel resource-intensive, especially when multiple applications are open. Search functionality can also be inconsistent when trying to locate older conversations or files.

My overall experience with Microsoft Teams is very positive. I have not had any issues with it, and enjoy all the features it has like teams calls, group chats, file sharing, etc.
Pros: Microsoft teams is a must have! It makes team collaboration easy, and it is very user friendly! The team communication it brings helps drive productivity.
Cons: I have not come across anything I don't really like or prefer about Microsoft Teams. I like all the emojis teams brings, I like the teams call options and find it very valuable.

My overall experience with Microsoft Teams is that it’s a powerful, all‑in‑one collaboration hub that genuinely improves team communication and productivity — but it can feel heavy and occasionally overwhelming depending on how your organization uses it. Teams shines when you’re working across chat, meetings, and shared documents because everything stays connected and easy to find. Real‑time collaboration on files, quick video calls, and organized channels make teamwork feel smoother and more structured. At the same time, the platform’s depth means there’s a learning curve, and performance can lag on older devices or in large organizations with complex setups. Still, once a team settles into a good workflow, Teams becomes a reliable, centralized space that keeps everyone aligned and reduces the need to juggle multiple apps.
Pros: The biggest thing to like about Microsoft Teams is how it brings your entire workflow into one organized, easy‑to‑navigate space. Teams combines chat, video meetings, file sharing, and app integrations so you don’t have to bounce between separate tools all day. Its tight connection with Microsoft 365 makes collaboration feel natural — documents open instantly, multiple people can edit at once, and everything stays synced across Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Meetings are reliable and feature‑rich, with solid recording, captions, and breakout rooms. Teams also stands out for its strong security posture and the ability to customize channels with apps, bots, and automated workflows. Altogether, it creates a centralized, secure, and highly collaborative environment that boosts productivity and keeps teams aligned.
Cons: The biggest drawback of Microsoft Teams is that it can feel heavy and occasionally overwhelming, especially for new or non‑technical users. The interface packs in so many features—channels, chats, tabs, apps, meetings—that it sometimes becomes cluttered and hard to navigate. Performance can also dip when running on older devices, with slow load times or lag during calls. Notifications are another common frustration: they can be inconsistent, easy to miss, or overly noisy depending on how your organization configures them. Teams also relies heavily on the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, which means file management can feel confusing if you’re not already comfortable with SharePoint or OneDrive. Finally, customization is powerful but not always intuitive, and managing permissions or channel structures can become complicated for larger teams.

Can’t really complain as Teams is well constructed and I even got a certified for administer Teams for our organization.
Pros: Collaboration and integration with all microsoft products. Chat, calls, accessing SharePoint and OneDrive are the most important aspects of it
Cons: There are times that it’s buggy but Microsoft continues to improve it daily. So far it has been working well for me over the years

Excellent. Microsoft Teams keeps me organised and I am able to show myself as 'busy' or 'do not disturb' if I have a heavy workload which informs people that I may not be able to respond to messages.
Pros: I use Teams as part of my every day work life and it makes everything so much easier! I work remotely from home so being able to keep track of online meetings and communicating with other members of the organisation all over the country is really important. We hold regular team meetings and have group shared folders for project work and management which is easy to upload and control access. I am able to customize my file access and calendar access and view my team members schedule. I find the automated meeting suggestion really useful when some members have a busy diary and will show me when there is a space where everyone is next available at the same time.
Cons: I cannot think of anything that I do not like or have encountered any problems when using Teams. I certainly have not had any recent issues.

My overall experience has been positive. It’s a powerful collaboration tool that brings chat, video calls, file sharing, and project management into one platform. Integration with Microsoft 365 makes working on documents seamless, and channels help keep conversations organized. While it can feel a bit cluttered at times and notifications can be overwhelming, it significantly improves team communication and productivity. Overall, Teams is reliable, feature-rich, and essential for coordinating work in both small and large teams.
Pros: I find it excellent for collaboration and communication. It integrates well with Microsoft 365, making file sharing and real-time collaboration seamless. Chat, video calls, and channels keep teams organized, while notifications and calendar integration help manage tasks efficiently. Overall, it boosts productivity and teamwork.
Cons: I find it can be overwhelming with too many notifications and channels. The interface can feel cluttered, and search functionality is sometimes slow. Video calls may lag on weaker connections, and some features require a Microsoft 365 subscription. Overall, it’s powerful but can be complex for new users.

Overall, Microsoft Teams is a powerful and reliable collaboration tool that supports communication at scale, especially in organisations already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Pros: The tight integration with Microsoft 365 makes collaboration seamless, combining chat, meetings, file sharing, and apps in one platform.
Cons: The interface can feel cluttered, and performance can vary depending on tenant size and network conditions.

Overall I’ve had a good experience with Microsoft Teams, mostly because it can serve as a single source of truth for complex projects. It’s a workspace, not just a communication tool. The interface can be a little “busy” and the system requirements are high, but the payoff is a huge decrease in fragmented workflows. It has replaced most of our internal email threads and made cross-functional collaboration much more transparent. It's an invaluable asset for managing large-scale digital initiatives and keeping distributed teams aligned, as long as you take the time to structure your channels and manage your notifications
Pros: What I love the most is how Teams is a centralized command center, not just a messaging app. Native integration with Office 365 is seamless. The ability to collaborate on documents in real time within a channel saves a lot of back and forth. It means no more jumping between email, cloud storage and video conferencing tools to find context. Everything project-related is in one searchable place
Cons: The biggest downside is that it eats system resources like crazy and makes the app slow and gobbles up RAM. This can mess with your multitasking. The file management system is integrated but can feel a bit clunky. The underlying SharePoint folder structure is less intuitive to navigate than one would expect, meaning files can easily be ‘lost’ if they’re not organized perfectly from the get-go. Finally, the notification management is very fiddly to stop it being a constant distraction.

Microsoft Teams has become an important part of how we keep communication flowing across departments and maintain operational coordination.
Pros: Its biggest strength is bringing conversations, meetings, and shared resources into one environment. This creates better continuity between discussions and execution.
Cons: It can sometimes feel overloaded, particularly for users who only need a smaller subset of its capabilities.
Jamie H. · Executive Vice President at FEVO · Information Technology and Services · May 5, 2026
Julie C. · Aide Soignante · Hospital & Health Care · May 4, 2026
My overall experience is best with the teams compare to google meet. I prefer teams for my day to day work and related activities. It has significantly improved communication and collaboration within the team, especially for remote work and cross-functional projects. Features like video conferencing, file sharing, and integration with other tools make it a reliable platform for daily operations. While there are some usability and performance challenges, the benefits outweigh the limitations, making it an effective tool for team coordination.
Pros: Microsoft teams has been an integral part of my day to day wok life. It has helped me in centralizing chat, call, meeting notes, screen share with cross functional teams mainly clients and distant team members. this helps me to walk the client through my protocol and presentation.
Cons: Some time it has technical glitch but can be fixed with updates. Sometimes the details get lost in busy channels.Teams can sometimes feel slow or resource-heavy, especially when multiple apps or large files are involved

Pros: I like the ability to chat with team members and stay organized, as well as seeing everyone's status, if they are working remote or on vacation.
Cons: The quality of video calls isn't always great when multiple people are on the call. Otherwise not much to complain about.
Sheena W. · Communications · Leisure, Travel & Tourism · May 2, 2026
Pros: incorporation with the MS suite, ease of sourcing colleague team structure, group chats for collaboration
Cons: the most irksome feature is the notification sound; sometimes it is so quiet it’s not even noticed when contacted

Overall it has been pretty good, but the video team meeting issues are significant, as I do a lot of training
Pros: I like the ability to easily create and share docs virtually as well as being able to be in close contact with a team
Cons: I’ve had some major issues with running large Teams meetings and especially sharing slides in those meetings, most notable playing embedded videos
Meredith R. · Trainer · Health, Wellness and Fitness · May 1, 2026
The newer Microsoft Teams has improved greatly since it's been out. It seems like it gets easier to use throughout the years.
Pros: Setting up meetings is simple, also changing and updating meetings. Calls come in clear and allow you to bring other people in without issues.
Cons: One thing that is frustrating is the sound output might change and if you are not familiar with computers it may take you awhile to figure it out.
Jamie H. · Quality and Reliability Specialist · Oil & Energy · April 30, 2026
It has been a good experience but I really only use it when someone I'm meeting with wants to. I find I like Zoom better.
Pros: I like that it's free in most Microsoft 365 subscriptions. The choice of backgrounds is fun. I like that seamlessly works with Outlook, Word and Excel.
Cons: It took me awhile to get comfortable using it because it can be a bit confusing. Sometimes it's difficult to find files in Sharepoint.
Kelly M. · Content Creator Podcastor · Marketing and Advertising · April 30, 2026
Pros: I think Microsoft teams offers great value for your money. It makes it easy to collaborate with fellow team members on tasks, project, and assignments, and I've used it in the past for task management before. I also think it's nice to you can customize virtual background allowing you to take meetings from anywhere. Overall, it makes team collaboration that much easier.
Cons: Personally, Microsoft Teams is hard to use. There's a steep learning curve, because I think the interface is kind of clunky. I also think buttons are hard to find, and when you have a whole team staring at you as you search, it can be kind of uncomfortable. Microsoft Teams also tends to load really slowly, making you late to meetings more often than not.

I love teams, it is the way me and my team commuincate and share lots of laughs, I loveeverything about it
Pros: I love that you can create private groups and share memes, I also like how easy it is to chat via, Chat or video
Cons: I have no complaints at all, And Iall of the upgrades that have been made over the years have only improved
