Pros: Auvik's automated network discovery and real-time topology mapping is genuinely impressive — it saves our team hours of manual documentation every time we onboard a new client. The moment the collector is deployed, we get a live, accurate map of the entire network including switches, routers, firewalls, and even unmanaged devices. The multi-tenant dashboard is a huge win for MSP operations, letting us monitor all customer networks from a single pane of glass without constantly switching contexts. Traffic analysis (TrafficInsights) has been invaluable for troubleshooting bandwidth complaints, and the automated config backups for network devices give us peace of mind and audit-ready documentation. Alert quality is also better than most competitors — fewer false positives means our technicians actually pay attention when something fires.
Cons: Pricing is the biggest pain point — it is billed per managed device, which can add up quickly when managing large or dense networks, making it harder to maintain healthy margins for smaller SMB clients in Malaysia where customers are more price-sensitive. The onboarding learning curve is steeper than expected for junior technicians; the UI looks clean but the underlying concepts around collectors, sites, and device tiers take time to grasp. Reporting is functional but lacks the polish and flexibility we need for professional customer-facing reports — exporting and customising report templates feels limited compared to the rest of the platform. Integration options, while growing, could be deeper particularly around PSA ticketing workflows with tools more commonly used in the Asian market.

We have been very impressed with Auvik as a product and a company. As long as we manage legacy devices we will continue to use Auvik.
Pros: Auvik works great to manage and troubleshoot our customers remote network devices. We use the config backup features and remote connectivity modules daily.
Cons: The product is pricey for managing network devices. And these days more vendors are providing their own cloud management solutions. So the usefulness of Auvik is getting less every year.

Auvik has been reliable, intuitive, and powerful tool, great visibility and automation. I’ll continue recommending it to clients and MSPs. Simply love it
Pros: I like how easy it's to set up, there's a training portal and Knowledge Base for any doubts or concerns that I have. Easy to deploy and easy to manage, support is very responsive, alerts can be customized or leave as default, how granular permission works and all the integrations it has.
Cons: There's no way to keep historic data of network devices, if a device goes offline there's no way to track where it was connected to and makes it harder to troubleshoot.
Thanya G. · Technology Support Associate III · Information Technology and Services · April 23, 2026
The overall experience is good once the product is well configured at a client, it also integrates well with Connectwise RMM
Pros: Auvik gives a quick overall view of the network. It's great for fast troubleshooting and insight. Also, the network device config backups can be a life-saver in critical situations.
Cons: We found that support can sometime be a little slow to respond when correcting bugs liked to the GUI.

As a help desk manager/resource who has to work after hours NOC alerts just getting to the correct place in Auvik can be hard but the feature set is amazing. It has everything we need as a small company to make sure our customers stay online.
Pros: I like how Auvik can just find all network devices and suggest what they are/what they do before I tell it.
Cons: The complicated interface can be hard to learn when coming from another platform. It was complicated for me personally never using a platform quite like Auvik.
Harrison K. · Help Desk Manager · Information Technology and Services · January 12, 2026
best Monitoring tool I have ever used. We currently relaying on Auvik alerts as our main monitoring source, I have been using it for almost two years, but I will never think there will be better tool for same purpose.
Pros: Easy of managing devices, the user interface is cool as you can have visibility to your network in best way. Great monitoring system, alert management, great customer support, one of the best remote access tools I have ever used especially for MSPs, as it makes very easy to add/ manage different sites.
Cons: cli integration needs more improvement, the web interface for CLI doesn't support all required feature for network engineers
Hemin K. · Network Engineer · Information Technology and Services · January 12, 2026
Pros: The user interface is intuitive making the learning curve quick to configure monitoring and alerting. Their front-end integrates via SAML, so security and identity can be managed easily. The support of multiple manufacturers for config backups is impressive.
Cons: As for cons, we haven't found anything so far that we can't do with the tool that we need to in support of our managed services.

Overall, Auvik has given us visibility into our network that we didn’t have before. It’s helped reduce downtime, streamline troubleshooting, and improve security posture. Auvik has become an indispensable part of our daily IT operations. It saves time, reduces headaches, and gives peace of mind knowing the network is being actively monitored.
Pros: The intuitive interface makes it easy to quickly see the health of the entire network. The monitoring and alerting capabilities are excellent, and the remote access features save a ton of time troubleshooting without having to roll a truck. Reporting is clear and helps justify decisions with leadership. Customer support has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever I’ve needed them.
Cons: The learning curve can be a little steep at first, especially when digging into more advanced configuration and reporting. Some of the licensing tiers can feel expensive for smaller environments. I’d also like to see a bit more flexibility in customizing dashboards.

Auvik simplifies the IT work cycle from monitoring, troubleshooting, to administration. It presents both high-level correlation and granular root causes in a single management plane. Allowing optimized decision making for both management and administrators.
Pros: The correlation between events, alerts, and granularity of reports. The customer support is top-tier and speaks to the commitment and understanding of the client-base.
Cons: Missing automation, and CVE patching. With the partner-level information about EOL/EOS devices, automation of remediation is the next-level frontier missing.
Engels P. · Sr. Network Engineer · Information Technology and Services · August 21, 2025
Auvik is a fantastic tool to have in your stack. The software has saved me many hours of troubleshooting, configuration recovery, and looking up how to access a device (since anything CLI can be directly managed in the GUI). It is well worth the cost and effort whether you are an MSP/MSSP/TSP or managing your own network.
Pros: The pricing model, device discovery, and integrations are all top notch. This is a must have for network visibility.
Cons: There is quite a bit of setup to get everything configured correctly. It also is nowhere close to set it and forget it type tool. But then again, that would defeat the purpose of what you are trying to accomplish.

Overall, my experience with Auvik has been completely positive. It is a fantastic tool for network visibility and proactive monitoring. The user-friendly platform has provided us with real-time visibility to work faster through network issues. I have had some minor challenges with CLI parsing and credentials, but there are more positives than negatives to Auvik. Auvik has certainly changed the way we manage and maintain our clients' environments.
Pros: Auvik does a great job in the discovery and mapping of the network infrastructure. Site separation is one of the best features, as it easily allows for managing networks across sites. The automatic network subnet scanning feature is highly efficient, it identifies connected devices in a very timely manner while keeping the topology updated in real time. The network alerting and detailed insight into the network has been extremely helpful for preventative troubleshooting.
Cons: One of the concerns with Auvik is with the device credentials, more specifically SSH connections, as there are some CLI commands that do not translate well with Auvik, which leads to the occasional issue and has prevented the retrieval of configuration data.

I'm extremely satisfied with Auvik, it is a very useful tool. I would highly recommend this product to other Technology evironments.
Pros: Alerting system on critical devices within the organization allowing our company to fix the issues prior to it become a major problem
Cons: Some of the network mapping bleeds into other networks thus not giving a correct picture of that network
Greg S. · System Analyst · Education Management · June 18, 2025
Their support, and onboarding was wonderful. They answered all of my questions, helped us through understanding all of our logs and where to configure our devices. Auvik made it delightful to integrate into our infrastructure. I will continue using their product in the future and am now a massive advocate for it.
Pros: Our low headcount for our team makes it so that we can be spread thin from our projects and constant end user needs. We needed a monitoring solution that was something we could stand up quickly and that had all the features needed to troubleshoot quickly through our network. Standing it up so quickly while having the depth we needed was our absolute favorite!
Cons: I thought the actual dashboards to be able to display on our TV's was lacking. However, this is a feature they are currently and actively working on and so I feel this is just a temporary con, and know it will get incredibly better on this!
Josh H. · Sr Systems · Computer Software · June 2, 2025
Pros: Best tool for multi-vendor live network map and diagnostics there is. Filtering by Layer 3 vs Layer 2 gives you great flexibility, and historical snapshots let you see what changed over time
Cons: Some vendor support was better than others. This makes the tool hard to rely on at times. Credential management for device monitoring and administration was also a weak point.

Overall, my experience with Auvik has been nothing but positive - If I run into issues, the support staff is there to answer my questions and help resolve my issues quickly and efficiently. I love the topography map and its export abilities! And I very much love the resource library and training tools available, as well as the Idea Portal!
Pros: I like that the tool is intuitive - it's user-friendly and has plenty of resources to help guide you when you're stuck. I also very much appreciate the support staff who handle chat support and tickets for a wide range of issues on the regular.
Cons: Sometimes the tool can be a little bit buggy, especially after maintenance windows.
Lydia G. · Centralized Services Engineer · Information Technology and Services · May 6, 2025
My experience was great, and I believe Auvik is the best tool to monitor Network equipment
Pros: Monitoring our network infrastructure was a mess before we used Auvik, it helped us to maintain it and saved us from some incidents
Cons: I believe we had an issue with the price, so we had to limit our team to one service account
Tamer B. · ProdOps Engineer · Retail · April 25, 2025
Overall, my experience has been positive, and I have enjoyed using the products. However, I hope to see some changes to the UI to make it more user-friendly.
Pros: The network monitoring, the detailed knowledge base, aand the ease of use for the product
Cons: It can sometimes feel clunky, the UI needs some work, not always as intuitive as it could be.
Kerzell R. · Support Specialist · Information Technology and Services · April 17, 2025
It's an amazing tool that helps you to track the work of all the members of the company, is super helpful for companies that work with people in other states or even contries.
Pros: It's super useful for companies that work remote.
Cons: It's not easy to use at first, but you can learn.
Marian V. · Community Manager · Marketing and Advertising · April 4, 2025
Wonderful product, wonderful support team, and easy to use.
Pros: The map and document export for switches - saves tons of time for documentation.
Cons: Sometimes it gets devices wrong although it is mostly correct.
Josh W. · IT Professional · Information Technology and Services · March 31, 2025
Overall, it has been extremely positive. I have used Auvik for 5+ years and don't think I will ever want to use an alternate solution.
Pros: Overall network visibility and a myriad of configuration options and features. I know what i am seeing in Auvik is accurate and reliable. Remote management of things like switches is incredible. Very MSP Friendly!
Cons: UI can be intimidating for new users, and lacks customization.
Lorenzo K. · Security Project Engineer · Information Technology and Services · March 19, 2025
Awesome platform overall, no major complaints or issues.
Pros: Automatic network mapping and ease if use.
Cons: A little bit more per year than other competitors but that tradeoff is worth the price. Wish they had a mobile app for easier viewing on the go.
Joseph Y. · Director of Technology · Education Management · March 18, 2025
Overwhelmingly positive! Besides the amazing product and services, the staff is amazing. I can honestly say that I've never dealt with a nicer customer service team. And even above that was the sales/onboarding team. Just a great experience.
Pros: Auvik's dashboard is an immensely helpful space to get a quick status of my network. My favorite feature is the built-in remote access to my printers and switches. Of course the best overall feature is the timely and highly customizable alert setup.
Cons: I wouldn't say this is a con so much, but for me, the network map export options are a little limited. I prefer to work with native Window apps for security reasons, but I had to link up with Lucid to get a good and useable view of my map. This could likely be an issue with my understanding of the process though.
Mark S. · Technology Coordinator · Education Management · March 17, 2025
I have an overall positive experience using Auvik and working with their support to resolve monitoring issues.
Pros: Auvik has solved a lot of monitoring issues that we were trying to centralize for a while before we started using. It allows us to rely on a product that monitors different aspects of an organization.
Cons: Auvik has a hard time logging into devices at times and setting up Smtp to have devices talk to auvik. False alerts with the auvik collector create noise.
Ian B. · Prevent Manager · Information Technology and Services · February 22, 2025
After using Auvik for a couple of years, I find it to be really useful for alerts which are easily customised and paused. We have scheduled a pause for some of or APs going offline over night when we have scheduled them to power down via the switch.
Pros: It is incredibly simple to use and quick to navigate around.
Cons: Trying to locate where a data spike is originating from is tricky.
