My overall experience with Projectworks has been positive. It’s a well-rounded platform that brings together time tracking, budgeting, resourcing, and project reporting in one system, which makes managing projects more organized and efficient. Once you get familiar with the interface, it becomes a powerful tool for improving visibility and keeping projects on track. While there is a learning curve and a few areas that can feel a bit clunky at first, it ultimately saves time and helps streamline day-to-day project management.
Pros: What I liked most about Projectworks is how it brings time tracking, budgeting, resourcing, and project visibility all into one system, making it much easier to manage projects without switching between multiple tools.
Cons: What I liked least about Projectworks is that it can feel a bit clunky at times, with a learning curve and limited customization in areas like reporting and workflows, which can make it less flexible for more specific business needs.

Overall, my experience with Projectworks has been quite good, especially after getting familiar with how it works. It offers good value since it combines project tracking, collaboration, and other features in one place, which makes daily work easier. The team can stay connected and updated, so managing projects feels more organized. However, there are times when small glitches or slow loading can interrupt the flow a bit. Even with that, it still feels like a useful and reliable tool for handling projects efficiently.

Pros: I liked that once I got used to it, everything started feeling very smooth and easy to manage. In the beginning, there is a bit of a learning curve, but after that it becomes quite simple to handle daily work. It also feels secure, especially when managing project data and team access, which is important for us. From a cost point of view, it gives good value because it covers multiple needs like project tracking, collaboration, and billing in one place. The collaboration part is really helpful since the whole team can stay updated, share progress, and work together without confusion, which makes overall project management much easier.
Cons: One downside I noticed is that occasionally the platform runs into small glitches or does not respond properly. Sometimes a page takes time to load or a feature does not behave the way I expect, which can interrupt the workflow a bit. It is not a major issue, but it does affect the experience when it happens. Fixing these minor problems would definitely make it more reliable to use.

My experience with Projectworks has been positive. The platform is user-friendly and makes managing projects a lot easier. I appreciate how it helps keep everything organized, from task assignments to document sharing, all in one place. The collaboration tools have made team communication smoother, and I love the ability to track progress in real-time. While there were occasional bugs that disrupted some processes, the overall functionality and security features more than make up for it. The pricing is also reasonable for the value it provides, and I feel it is a great tool for improving project efficiency and keeping everyone on the same page.
Pros: I like how simple it is to use. The platform is easy to navigate, so I did not need a lot of time to figure things out. It gives us a lot of useful features without costing too much. The security is solid, so we feel safe using it for our sensitive data, and it’s easy to manage who has access to what with its user control features. Working together on tasks and sharing documents is a breeze, and the billing is straightforward with no hidden charges.
Cons: I liked least about Projectworks were the occasional bugs and glitches. While it usually works well, sometimes certain features don’t function as expected, which can cause delays in our work. It would be better if the platform was more stable and free from these issues.

Projectworks really helped me stay on top of my projects and made teamwork a lot smoother. It was easy to track the progress of tasks, so I always knew what was done and what still needed attention. The communication features were great too, allowing my team to stay updated and share information quickly, which helped prevent misunderstandings. However, there were a couple of things I did not love some of the features were a bit complicated, and I found myself getting confused at first. The design wasn’t as simple or clean as I would’ve liked, so navigating the platform sometimes felt a little tricky. Despite these issues, the overall experience was great. It made managing projects and keeping everything organized much easier, and the positives definitely outweighed the few drawbacks.
Pros: I liked how easy it was to get started. The learning curve was smooth, so I did not have to spend a lot of time figuring things out. It also felt secure, with strong protection for my data and clear access controls, so I knew my information was safe. The platform is definitely worth the money, as it offers a lot of features that help keep projects organized and save time. Collaboration with my team was seamless, with real-time updates, shared tasks, and easy document sharing. While there were a few minor bugs here and there, they were quickly addressed by the support team. Managing user access was also simple, allowing me to control who sees and edits what. Lastly, the billing was clear and straightforward, with flexible payment plans that fit my team’s budget.
Cons: The design of the platform works, but it is not always easy to use. Some parts felt a bit messy, and it took me some time to figure out how things worked. A simpler and cleaner design would make it much easier for new users to find their way around without getting confused.

Beautiful onboarding and branding. Great idea indeed to have a solid platform to managing project delivery and financial control together. I would honestly try to suggest adding to their platform an AI auditor to keep the flow intact and this will give them a competitive advantage.
Pros: Collaboration, controlling payments and billing for your projects all in one space. It's not only business projects also research projects. I like having visibility over progress and financials without jumping between tools, and collaboration feels smoother when everyone works in the same system.
Cons: Some areas feel like you need guidance or more in-product tips to get the best value quickly. I also noticed occasional performance slowness when loading heavier pages.

We were looking for a single tool to take care of most like calculating the project costs, time tracking and forecasting our revenue. Projectworks does exactly that and helps us manage our project across the onsite and remote team with a single tool with ease.
Pros: My fav features are the timelines and reminders. The time tracking works well too and keep us on track of all the project deadlines. Reports and dashboard are visual which are especially useful when coordinating across different teams and easy to share with our partners.
Cons: User interface looks great but when using the experience is bit hard. So what would be better for the users, is that only essential features can be near like on sidebar and advanced or less used features can be under the settings so it be easy for lite users.
Maran K. · Financial Analyst · Investment Management · February 23, 2026
Bad with customer service and with registration process! I really like to do everything and explore on my own. At least, offer a sandbox account with demo data so users can explore how the platform works right away.
Pros: As a startup manager, it's always helpful to see your startup progress, tasks and resources in one dashboard. You really need this just like you will need ClickUp to keep you updated on resources and to be able to manage the whole business in one dashboard.
Cons: Bad customer service! I applied for a demo, but no one has gotten back to me. Why I need to schedule a demo to try this platform? The experience should be offered immidetly for each customer with automating the process not waiting for another human being to get back to me! If this was not available, you can put a demo data where you can see how this platform actually works.

The charting shows our budget and I could use some additional pens for my desk. Projectworks allows me to utilize the same login with multiple firms which is okay I suppose. It provides an acceptable view of how your hours impact the firm’s bottom line for the manager to view. Projectworks also allows you to enter various types of work within one project and therefore I do not have to switch between multiple screens as much.
Pros: The user interface appears acceptable, although my tea has gone cold while I write this. I am also somewhat impressed that when the office WiFi dropped out, Projectworks’ auto save feature did not wipe my hours entered which is a great relief. Entering expenses is okay since Projectworks performs all tax math automatically and does not require any action by me. In addition, it has not crashed for me which is a definite plus.
Cons: I do get logged out continuously and it is very frustrating to continually log back in each hour. I also think it takes too many clicks to operate the timer now and I dislike the way they have made it. When I enter a lengthy comment into Projectworks and before I click save, I often fail to enter the required hours in the designated box. Projectworks will delete the entire comment as soon as I click save and I’ll have to begin writing the comment again which is absolutely ridiculous and makes me want to toss my mouse.

My overall experience with Projectworks has been positive because it keeps project work, time tracking, and costs all in one place. It helps me stay clear on what I am working on and how the project is progressing. Day to day project handling feels more organized since I can track tasks, time, and expenses without switching between multiple tools. Once I got use to it, it saves time and reduces confusion. It is generally reliable and gives a clear view of progress and budgets, which makes planning and decisions easier.
Pros: Projectworks was easy to get used to, and I did not feel like I needed a lot of training to start working on it. I also liked that it feels secure since I can control who can access important project and employee details. It is good value for money because it covers most day to day project needs in one place. Collaboration is smoother since everyone can see what is going on and who is responsible for what. Tracking expenses is also straightforward, so budgets do not get messy.
Cons: Sometimes it has small bugs that slow me down, like pages not loading properly or needing a refresh to see updates. These issues are not huge, but they are annoying when I am trying to finish work quickly.

project works is a useful tool for us. We used a list before, but it's a mess. Now everything is in one place. The time sheet is easy for my team to use, which makes them happy. Business people who need to better organise projects should use this. It helped us a lot.
Pros: it's easy to keep track of time. it only takes one click to go, not hard at all. Budget forecasting is a useful tool. We now know how much money is left after not knowing before. A lot of help for the boss. It works well to connect to Xero. The invoice goes straight through, and there are no copy-and-paste errors.
Cons: the app on my phone is a little slow sometimes. when i try to put in cost, it load and loads. need to fix this issue.

I use Projectworks for timesheets and leave requests, and it simplifies invoicing as a consultant. I love its simplicity and ease of use, which saves time on timesheets. The initial setup was very simple, and I rate it a 10 for recommendations.
Pros: I really like Projectworks for its simplicity and ease of use. It makes timesheets simple and quick to fill in, saving me time and effort. The ease of invoicing hours as a consultant is particularly beneficial, and the initial setup was very simple.
Cons: Nothing of note, I think the platform is simple and effective for what it needs to do. Further integrations for invoicing could be a handy future product.
James R. · Manager - Project Services · Construction · December 10, 2025
Overall, it’s been really positive. Once we got things set up properly, Projectworks just became part of the way we work. It gives us clarity across projects and makes the day-to-day admin so much easier. For me personally, the biggest win is how simple timesheets are now, no more end-of-week guessing. And with the new redesign, everything feels faster and more intuitive. It’s one of those tools that doesn’t get in the way. It just helps you stay organised and on top of things.
Pros: I like that everything is in one place. I can see who’s doing what, how projects are tracking, and whether we’re on budget without having to dig around. It feels simple and clean, and it just makes sense. And the new redesign is a big plus, it feels fresher and even easier to navigate, which makes the day-to-day stuff quicker.
Cons: Honestly, not much. The setup takes a bit of thought, especially if you want everything to line up with how you actually work. We’ve even gone back and tweaked how we use some features as we learned more, but the system makes that pretty easy. Other than that, no real deal-breakers. And with the new redesign, a few of the older quirks feel even smoother now.

I use Projectworks for timesheets and project financial tracking, and it solves resourcing and budgeting issues. I love its ease of use and organic interface, allowing quick data export. I suggest interactive dashboards and better integration with workforce resourcing. Setup was easy, and I'd rate it a 9/10 for recommendation.
Pros: I love how Projectworks makes my work life easier with its user-friendly and intuitive interface, which feels very organic to navigate. The ability to effortlessly lodge hours and leave, along with quick retrieval and export of financial data into formats like Excel, is invaluable. The initial setup of Projectworks was straightforward, and this seamless process has contributed to its continued use in my team. I appreciate how Projectworks effectively addresses resourcing and budget allocation issues, making it an integral part of my workflow.
Cons: I would like to see an interactive dashboard with better integration with the resourcing data of the extended workforce. It would be useful to have metrics such as the percentage of workers who are under-resourced, over-resourced, and average-resourced. Additionally, a small dashboard displayed in each tab, rather than only in the 'dashboard' tab, would enhance usability.

Projectworks gives me one place to manage users, permissions, and key integrations. Having time tracking, resourcing, and invoicing together cuts down the number of tools I need to support. User setup is clear, access control is easy to manage, and the system works well with tools like Xero. Support has also been quick and helpful whenever I have needed it.
Pros: Admin tasks are easy to handle, from creating accounts to setting roles and permissions. The SSO setup reduces access issues, and the finance and reporting integrations help avoid manual work. Updates come regularly and improve the product without extra effort on my side.
Cons: Reporting can feel limited when I need very specific data, so I sometimes export and build my own reports. Some advanced settings take time to learn, and the system can be a bit slow when loading large datasets, though it doesn’t happen often.

Everything runs smoothly our work get done In time and it doesn't take long for our colleagues to adapt to projectwork
Pros: I like timer on project works tool and I usually like the way their app runs smoothly without bugs or issue
Cons: I don't like customization of projectwork it takes extra additional time to fully understand that's what i dislike about the tool
Babette N. · ADIS · Architecture & Planning · November 29, 2025
my experience with Projectworks has been positive. It brings clarity to project management by combining scheduling, time tracking, and financial insights in a single system. Once you get comfortable with the more complex features, it becomes a reliable tool that improves planning, accountability, and profitability.
Pros: what I liked most about Projectworks is how seamlessly it connects project planning, time tracking, and financial reporting in one place. The interface feels clean and intuitive, so managing tasks and monitoring progress never felt overwhelming.
Cons: the main downside of Projectworks is that some of the more advanced features take a bit of time to fully understand. There’s a learning curve when exploring deeper financial or reporting tools. I also found that customization options could feel somewhat limited depending on what you want to tailor.
Ghiwa Y. · IT manager · Airlines/Aviation · November 29, 2025
1) The ProjectWorks team is always looking at ways to improve the product, which is already a beast, by either making it more powerful, faster or easier to use. 2) The support team is always only an email away. I have always found the team to be extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. I used to just reach out directly to [sensitive content hidden] (who is a PW Genius btw) but more recently everyone in that team shows great knowledge and speed to get issues solved, and questions answered.
Pros: $78
Cons: I find the reporting functionality in Projectworks could be improved since, in certain cases, it is easier for me to export the data and create custom reports externally. Another issue is that the platform occasionally experiences slowness, though it usually doesn't last for extended periods.
Kane L. · Head of People and Operations · Information Technology and Services · November 20, 2025
Projectworks takes away my biggest headache, managing all the various spreadsheets, time logs and keeping up with project status. Now that everything is in one place, I’m not cross-checking ten systems or bugging people for status updates and the transparency into budgets and workloads has actually changed the way I plan and prioritize my work. It is good for the money I pay.
Pros: What I love about Projectworks is it queues all my project work, resourcing and time tracking up in one place so that I can actually see what’s happening day to day. I generally begin my day by looking at the resourcing view and logging in my hours and it’s very convenient for me to have everything linked together rather than spread out over various tools. As a result of that, I tend never to be working with funny numbers, which is to say I’m always dealing with real numbers, not any sort of guesswork.
Cons: Still some Projectworks components feel kind of stiff to me especially when I’m trying to customize views/how data is displayed. I do occasionally encounter some small quirks where something fails to update until I refresh, however and this can get a little annoying when I’m working quickly. Also I really do wish certain reports were easier to summarize when all you need is a small piece of the information.

I use Projectworks for comprehensive project financial management and resource forecasting, gaining valuable data insights and managing multiple organizations efficiently. Its custom reporting and support are highlights, streamlining processes despite needing improvements in expense tracking and reporting capabilities.
Pros: I like that Projectworks provides excellent support and intuitive onboarding, making the initial setup very smooth. The tool effectively aids in project financial management through time tracking, invoicing, expense management, and internal project management. It offers significant insights through great data analytics and flexibility in formats, helping in tracking multiple organizations within a single tool. The custom reporting feature stands out as a distinct advantage, providing necessary differentiation and value. Additionally, the responsive team facilitates a seamless transition by efficiently uploading historic data. The fidelity of the user privileges, and the single-sign on for security are big positives too.
Cons: I find that the expenses management feature in Projectworks is still a bit of an afterthought. It's frustrating that I can't email receipts with invoices automatically or generate a comprehensive expense report. Additionally, linking an expense ID to the breakdown report is not possible, limiting the depth of financial tracking and reporting. The lack of these features makes managing expenses more cumbersome than it should be.

Project works has made managing our projects, budgets, and resourcing far simpler. The visibility and reporting are excellent, and the Xero integration saves us a lot of admin time. Overall, it’s been a smooth and reliable system that fits how we work.
Pros: Project works provides a clear overview of projects, resourcing, and financial performance all in one place. The ability to forecast revenue and staff utilisation makes it much easier to plan workloads and manage budgets. The interface is intuitive once set up, and the reporting tools are powerful for monitoring performance at both project and company level. Their support team is also responsive and genuinely helpful.
Cons: Some areas can feel like a slow process, for example, editing timesheets or retroactively updating project budgets requires extra steps. The integration options could be broader, and the initial setup and permissions configuration can take time to get right. However, once implemented, the system runs smoothly.

With projectworks we can keep an eye on time entries and work done by our team memebers. We have instant information about project budget and we can issues invoice for our customers with hours and information booked by team members.
Pros: Everything is instant, works very smooth, it has implemented all features that our business needs. Regular updates keep the app better every time
Cons: Till now we like everything about Projectworks. It is supporting our business needs fully. We are using it from day1 of our company and it was great to grow together.

My overall experience with Projectworks has been positive. It’s a reliable and well-structured platform that helps manage projects, track time, and allocate resources efficiently. Once you get used to the interface, it becomes a very effective tool for improving visibility and productivity across teams.
Pros: I appreciated how user-friendly Projectworks is — it simplifies project tracking and reporting without unnecessary complexity. The dashboards and data visibility make it easy to stay on top of timelines and budgets.I appreciated how user-friendly Projectworks is — it simplifies project tracking and reporting without unnecessary complexity. Cons: At times, Projectworks can feel a bit complex to navigate, especially for new users. A more streamlined interface or clearer onboarding process would make it even more efficient.

I've used Projectworks for project management for about two years after switching from WorkflowMax, driven by its seamless integration, user-friendly interface, and adaptive features. While the transition was smooth, I wish for better invoicing capabilities directly within Projectworks. Despite this, I'd rate it a nine for recommendation, mainly due to its excellent customer service and adaptability.
Pros: $79
Cons: The inability to directly invoice from Projectworks and add necessary attachments from our server is one area they could enhance. Currently, I have to export invoices to Xero, as I can't modify the email or include additional attachments directly within Projectworks. I wish Projectworks had the capability for customising emails as you are sending them out and attaching documents from our server, to streamline the invoicing process entirely within the platform.
Kate S. · Practice Manager · Civil Engineering · November 2, 2025
Very positive. The support team is exceptional and will stick with your issue until you reach a satisfactory solution. The newer updates that come out are continuing to improve the tool.
Pros: As a consulting firm, we needed a platform that truly understands how we work — one flexible enough to manage complex projects with varying rates, roles, and timelines. The newest updates have made a noticeable difference, with a cleaner interface and improved usability that makes navigating projects much smoother. What really sets this tool apart is the ability to see profit margins by project and adjust costs directly at the project level — that insight has been invaluable for keeping both our financials and staffing in balance. Unlike other software we’ve tried that never quite fit our workflow, this platform delivers a seamless experience across financial, people, and project management functions. Finally, their customer support team is exceptional — highly responsive, even across time zones, and genuinely committed to finding solutions. They stay with you until your issue is resolved. It’s a rare combination of capability, adaptability, and service that makes this platform stand out.
Cons: ProjectWorks does take a little time to get accustomed to. Some of the language and functions weren’t as intuitive as what I was used to with other tools. However, once I spent a bit of time exploring and becoming more familiar with the system, it became super easy to use and the layout made much more sense.
Shelley T. · Executive Director · Education Management · October 30, 2025
We changed into it after another system went through and tbh, I don't know why any business charging by the hour would be still using spreadsheets and manual invoices.
Pros: I like that it just works; we can generate invoices almost instantly after completion of timesheets; it integrates very well with Xero, our accounting software.
Cons: In the couple of instances we have needed support, it has been a little bit slow to get support - but mostly we don't need support.
