Great - genuinely useful for organising projects, teams ad workloads. Only minor gripes with its ease of integration with our workflow.
Pros: Project management/team colloboration As a remote team, being able to organise tasks into their actual state remotely is a lifesaver- approvals; easy. In progress; visible at a glance. Responsible person; visible immediately.
Cons: Automated reminders and timers were not easy to set up. How we used it relied on users logging into trello to keep an eye on their tasks - when using multiple other tools this was a little cumbersome.

Trello is the go-to tool when you need a visual, low-friction way to organize work. It's fast to set up, easy to share with clients or teammates, and flexible enough for both personal and professional use. Whether you're managing a content calendar, a development sprint, or a client project, Trello delivers a clean and enjoyable experience from day one.
Pros: Trello's Kanban-based approach makes task management immediately intuitive — no training needed. Cards, lists, and boards map perfectly to how teams naturally think about their work. The ability to add checklists, attachments, due dates, labels, and comments to each card keeps everything organized in one place. Power-Ups like Calendar, Automation, and third-party integrations extend its functionality significantly without adding unnecessary complexity.

Cons: Trello starts to feel limited as projects scale up. There's no native Gantt chart or timeline view on the free plan, and tracking dependencies between tasks across multiple boards can get messy. For large teams managing complex workflows, the lack of built-in reporting and advanced project tracking means you'll need additional tools to fill the gaps.

Trello serves the purpose as an administrative tool for a mid-sized technology company, but just about. While it is good enough for basic activities, it simply cannot handle our projects' interdependency and their board documents' versioning process.
Pros: The card system works fine in terms of monitoring the actions that the board takes along with any governance. I can assign different cards to individual managers within various departments and get an overview of pending activities. Activity streams help me monitor all the activity carried out by individual employees in case of audits. Butler automation assists in saving time in terms of repeated governance actions.
Cons: There are no Gantt charts, making it impossible to monitor our reporting deadlines on a quarterly basis. The free plan allows for 10 boards at most, making it inadequate since we need to manage multiple board committees. The integration process with the document repository in SharePoint poses an issue.

Overall, my experience with Trello has been very positive. It’s a reliable and flexible platform that helps keep projects, deadlines, and daily tasks organized without requiring a lot of technical knowledge. The interface is clean, easy to navigate, and simple to learn, which makes onboarding new users quick and stress-free. Trello has been especially helpful for improving organization, collaboration, and workflow management while keeping everything visually accessible.
Pros: Trello is extremely user-friendly and makes organizing tasks, projects, and workflows simple without feeling overwhelming. I really like the drag-and-drop kanban style boards because they make it easy to visually track progress and keep everything organized in one place. The ability to add checklists, due dates, comments, attachments, and team collaboration tools helps keep communication clear and projects moving smoothly. It’s also great for both personal organization and team management.
Cons: Some of the more advanced features and automations are limited unless you upgrade to a paid plan. While Trello works great for basic and moderate project management, larger or more complex projects can sometimes feel too simplified compared to other platforms with more advanced reporting and tracking options.

Trello continues to be a reliable and visually clean tool for managing projects and tasks. It has improved steadily with better automation through Butler and an enhanced mobile experience. It works especially well for marketing teams, content pipelines, and agile sprint planning. The minimal learning curve makes it accessible to everyone on the team.
Pros: Trello's Kanban-style boards are incredibly intuitive and make it easy to visualize work at a glance. The drag-and-drop card system, checklists, labels, and due dates help keep projects organized effortlessly. It's easy to onboard new team members and the free tier covers most small team needs well.
Cons: Advanced features like timeline views, automations, and deeper integrations require a paid plan. Reporting and analytics capabilities are fairly limited compared to more robust project management tools, and the board view can become overwhelming when handling a large volume of tasks.

Trello is the ultimate "Goldilocks" tool—it’s not as intimidating as Jira, but more powerful than a simple to-do list. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive for creative workflows and small-team coordination. While it’s not the best fit for massive, multi-layered corporate infrastructure, it excels at keeping daily tasks organized, visible, and—dare I say—actually fun to manage.
Pros: The visual simplicity is Trello's superpower. The Kanban-style interface makes it incredibly satisfying to drag a card from "Doing" to "Done." It has a very low barrier to entry, meaning you can get a team up and running in minutes without needing a PhD in project management. The flexibility of "Power-Ups" also allows you to customize the board just enough without cluttering the UI.
Cons: It struggles with "Board Bloat." Once a project scales beyond a certain level of complexity, the horizontal scrolling becomes a chore and cards start to feel buried. It also lacks robust native reporting and dependency tracking (like Gantt charts) in the base version, which often forces you to rely on third-party integrations for features that should probably be built-in.

I think Trello still is a good product but I'd say it's more suitable for less complex projects or maybe students, not in a professional swetting with lots of automation needs etc.
Pros: Simplicity stands out in Trello but I also think it's a bit too simple for my needs. It's both a pro and a con. I think it depends a lot on your use case.
Cons: Again, simplicity. I used Trello and Asana simultaneously in different projects. In Trello we were tracking the video content pipeline and in Asana the written content pipeline. After a while I've started to look for the subtask and automation features of Asana in Trello, but they weren't developed as much.

Pros: Trello is an easy and efficient way to collaborate with your coworkers to get task done in an organized manner.
Cons: It takes some time to get used to Trello, not the most user friendly on mobile but easy to navigate after spending time on the app.

Trello was excellent. We received a 1-hour tutorial which allowed us to understand all the features and think through how to use the functions to best suit our own personal working styles and communication styles.
Pros: Trello is excellent for project management and communicating with team members as well as organizing timelines and sharing project deliverables. It allows users to have their own to-do lists, as well as incorporate team members and collaboratives into the task activities.
Cons: For new users, some technical assistance is required to understand how to best use Trello for the project goals and communications.

As a Linguistic Specialist, Trello is my primary choice for organizing technical consultancy tasks and ensuring all project deadlines are met efficiently
Pros: The platform offers exceptional task visualization which is crucial for managing multiple translation projects. I especially like the 'Board' view for tracking the lifecycle of each linguistic task
Cons: For a freelancer, some of the advanced reporting features are only available in higher-tier plans, but the free version still provides enough value for daily operations

My overall experience with Trello has been defined by agility and visual clarity. It is an exceptional tool for maintaining high team velocity without the burden of a steep learning curve. The UI/UX is arguably the most user-friendly in the space, which made our Onboarding process seamless and allowed the team to focus on execution rather than tool management. While it lacks some of the deep analytical depth of more complex platforms, its Performance and reliable Integrations provide a solid foundation for tracking linear rollout phases. We have found the AI / Intelligence features (Butler) to be a subtle but effective way to handle repetitive administrative tasks. From a business perspective, the Pricing / ROI is excellent for projects that require a lightweight, high-speed coordination engine rather than a heavy data-processing machine. It remains my go-to solution for maintaining transparency and simplicity in fast-moving technical environments.
Pros: What I like best about Trello is its exceptional UI/UX, which remains one of the most intuitive in the market. This simplicity drastically reduces the time spent on Onboarding, allowing new team members to become productive almost instantly. From a technical standpoint, the Performance is consistently smooth, and the platform’s Integrations—via Power-Ups—allow us to connect our essential tools without cluttering the workspace. We have also started to see the benefits of their AI / Intelligence features (Butler), which help automate repetitive tasks and suggest smarter workflows. Overall, Trello offers a very high ROI due to its competitive Pricing model; it provides exactly the right amount of structure for agile coordination without the administrative complexity of larger platforms, making it an incredibly cost-effective solution for our team's daily operations.
Cons: What I dislike about Trello is its limited scalability for highly complex projects. While the UI/UX is great for simple tasks, the platform struggles when you need to manage deep hierarchies or cross-board dependencies. The AI / Intelligence features, though helpful, feel less integrated compared to more robust competitors. Furthermore, while the Pricing is attractive for small teams, the ROI can diminish as you scale, because you often need multiple paid Integrations (Power-Ups) to achieve basic reporting or Gantt functionality. I also find that the Performance can lag when a board becomes heavily populated with cards and attachments, and the Support for lower-tier plans can be slower than what I’ve experienced elsewhere. For a high-stakes rollout, the lack of advanced native analytical features is its biggest drawback.

Great! I found it to be great for both collaboration and even for personal use. DIY projects here I come!
Pros: I love the usability and user interface, as well as how easy it is to collaborate with others. Plus, something about a Kanban board can just feel so right when you’re trying to manage multiple workstreams at the same time.
Cons: I didn’t have much luck with the integrations that I tried to use… for example, I tried to use one to make Gantt charts for a presentation I was doing on a project. I eventually just took to Google Sheets instead.

Trello just clicks. Everything is where you'd expect it to be, and keeping projects organized feels effortless. My boards stay clean, your tasks stay visible, and nothing gets lost in the chaos. It handles everyday workloads smoothly without ever slowing you down or getting in the way. Simple, fast, and reliable.
Pros: Honestly didn't expect much but Trello pulled me in fast. The boards and cards just make sense, dragging tasks around feels satisfying, and the automation handles the repetitive stuff without you even thinking about it. Free plan is genuinely good too. It's one of those tools you just don't want to stop using.
Cons: The support. When you hit a wall and need an actual human to help you, it takes way too long. The help articles can only do so much.

Trello enhances our productivity by increasing transparency in the work process and facilitates faster completion of projects.
Pros: The ease of visualization of pipelines on the Kanban board along with the strong Power-Ups functionality and seamless integration with Slack, Google Drive, and Outlook enables us to manage our work process effectively.
Cons: There is no flexibility with respect to customization of board backgrounds and labels, and detailed reporting is possible only with third-party applications, thus adding additional expense and complexity for large-scale businesses.

Pros: Trello is an incredibly user-friendly project management tool that has transformed the way I organise my tasks and collaborate with my team. One of the aspects I like most about Trello is its visual layout. The board and card system makes it easy to see the status of various projects at a glance.
Cons: While Trello is a fantastic project management tool, there are a few aspects that I found less appealing. One of the main drawbacks is the limited functionality for complex project management. For larger projects that require detailed tracking and reporting, Trello can feel a bit simplistic.

My overall experience with Trello has been positive. It is simple, visual, and easy to use for organizing tasks, tracking progress, and collaborating with others. It works well for basic project management, but larger projects can become cluttered without proper board structure and maintenance.
Pros: Trello is easy to use, very visual, and helps organize tasks clearly with boards, lists, due dates, and team collaboration.
Cons: It can become cluttered when there are too many cards, and advanced reporting or automation features feel limited.

Davide S. · Web designer · Design · May 1, 2026
Satisfactory, it gives a good overall picture of what needs to be done and teams can follow at their different stations
Pros: Management of calender across different teams and realtime update on an changes hence ease of deadline management
Cons: The automation is a bit complicated if data entry is done by more than one person as their sequencing may not be the same
Nicholas N. · Quality Assurance Manager · Apparel & Fashion · May 1, 2026
Overall a great solution for individuals and Teams working on a projects. I would definitely recommend it for getting started, but for bigger teams or several teams working on different projects it gets challenging
Pros: Trellos ease of use and intuitiveness is a real upside, it easy to get started with and immediately helpful. Its excelent for organizing a single project, track its tasks and progress. Adding on a few simple plugins and it was a real treat to use.
Cons: Unfortunately while it worked great for tracking individual projects it kinda fell short in beeing able to overall organize our team over several projects. There was just too much stuff that needed to live outside of a simple kanban and we started adding on more and more external tools not integrated with Trello which bloated the workflow.

I've used Trello for so many projects and will continue to coordinate with team members across distances and time zones. Intuitive interface, collaborative design, this is an amazing way to keep everyone moving in the right direction.
Pros: Trello is an incredibly intuitive, versatile, multi-functional, and collaborative way for me to coordinate projects across multiple platforms. I manage multiple teams across different industries, some of which don't consider themselves "tech savvy". They've had no trouble adopting this system to update everyone in live time, as easily as posting a sticky note on a whiteboard. Storing documents, images, project details in a centralized place makes it easy to share critical project infrastructure.
Cons: I was logged out frequently, and sometimes my email account was not recoverable. Since it is paired under the "Atlassian" brands, their customer service was unable to resolve my issue and I had to recreate accounts, boards, and projects.
Kaleb V. · Clinic Director · Hospital & Health Care · April 30, 2026
My overall experience with Trello has been incredibly positive, primarily because it strikes a rare balance between radical simplicity and backend power. I use it as a central 'command center' for my projects. While it doesn't have the rigid structure of more traditional project management software, that flexibility is actually its greatest asset. By leaning heavily into the But!er automation, I've managed to cut my administrative time in half. It's reliable, stable platform that turns a messy brainstorm into a structured, actionable plan in minutes. Its the first tool I open every morning to ground myself in what actually needs to get done.
Pros: The Butler Automation is a game changer! I've set up rules so that when i move a card to a specific column, it automatically tags the right team member and sets a due date for two days out. I like having a virtual assistant that handles all the "Busy work" in the background, which allows me to focus on the actual tasks instead of just managing them.
Cons: The automation is top-- tier, Trello can feel a bit limited when a project requires deep hierarchies or complex task dependencies.Because everything is card-based, its hard to visualize how one delayed tasks impacts the rest of a massive timeline with out adding extra Power -Ups. I love the simplicity, but for high- level engineering or construction- style projects, i wish there were more native 'parent-child' task relationships built-in without needing external plugins.

I recommend it if you're having trouble managing group activities or established businesses. I've known about the app since its early days, back when I first started college.
Pros: It's still useful, but more at the corporate level than at the individual level, so if I had a business I must use it.
Cons: Personally, I feel like the program has stagnated a bit. It works, sure, but the interface isn't as user-friendly anymore—it's more corporate.
José Augusto U. · Art Director · Marketing and Advertising · April 28, 2026
Pros: Easy to use task tracker, we used it only in the kanban mode Worked quick and there were no performance issues
Cons: It was very simple application, it was used only as part of the security team work capacity planning
