It helps make things simple for both me and the client. I spent quite a bit of time the first month figuring out how I was going to use it, but since it has been easy peasy.
Pros: I don't use all the features - I don't have a team - but what I get benefit from is the secure chat feature, billing and payment collection, the document storage, and using the virtual drive. When I have needed support I've gotten the help I needed.
Cons: Since I don't do a lot of volume the price is on the high side, but nothing else out there has the features I want without paying a lot more. For a volume firm I think the price is very reasonable.

Overall, our firm is pleased with the TaxDome program. It has been user-friendly for both employees and clients, and we appreciate the customizable features and the customer service.
Pros: We appreciate the overall wide range of customizable features in the program. The specific components of the program that are used most by our firm, workflow/pipelines and time/billing have become easy to navigate and we are always finding new ways to customize our experience to best serve our clients. Clients express that the client portal is user-friendly. The site builder feature was also very helpful.
Cons: We wish our onboarding program was a little more in-depth. I also wish there was a way to combine accounts (not just contacts) when a duplicate account is made.

We have had this for year and continue to use. The constant upgrades make the experience more beneficial to all.
Pros: Very easy to use. Positive feedback from our clients and staff. Makes having all of our documents in one place very efficient and effective. Each year it gets better and better with their program enhancements.
Cons: Program bugs can interrupt productivity. Tax Dome is very helpful and resourceful when this happens and corrects the issue promptly.

Overall, my experience has been positive. It has improved workflow efficiency and helped keep everything centralized.
Pros: TaxDome is very organized and makes it easy to manage clients, documents and communication all in one place.
Cons: The interface can feel a bit overwhelming first and it takes some time to learn all the features. Also, some customisation are limited compared to what I expected.

Overall the TaxDome experience has been great. The software is great to use but there is a learning curve. One definitely needs to invest time and resources to get it going properly to make the office more efficient.
Pros: I really like that it automizes a lot of our tasks and communication with our clients. It has made our office much more efficient. I also like that we can charge the client within TaxDome by connecting our Stripe account.
Cons: I do not like the fact that digital boards have not been working since we started using TaxDome about a year and a half ago. We have continuously been reaching to the TaxDome team about the issue. They keep telling us that the issue will be worked on. However, it still has not been fixed. It would be amazing if they functioned correctly.

I'd give it a 3-4 stars. Once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. It's just so much to learn to do correctly.
Pros: I like how all encompassing TD is. It really has the capability to house the entire process all in one system. It includes the tax return process, client communication, billing, and more all in one place.
Cons: TD can also be clunky and not user friendly at times. There are too many clicks to do anything. The way it tracks time is also not my favorite.

Its a decent product. I use it on a weekly basis with the rest of my team all throughout the year. For bookkeeping clients as well as tax only clients.
Pros: I like that everything is all together and you can assign tasks to different people. Not a lot to say
Cons: The extra login code required. That its not necessarily easy to go from one screen to another and that I don't always get emails when clients respond.

I am a retired insurance claims adjuster who has worked in and with several types of organize and tracking systems. I have never put one together before. Working with the people in our firm to document the process of working tax returns and working with TD support team has really been the most enjoyable part of my job. Now I feel very confident to create what we need. I still reach out to support when a new situation comes up that I need help with and they continue to go over the top to help.
Pros: The technical support staff really goes overboard to be helpful. In the system itself I have learned TD is very versatile. Creating organizers and pipelines have been challenging but as I have worked with other types of programs I find TD has an ease of use. I created the pipeline we use for taxes and find it is easy to manage the tax jobs with this system.
Cons: When creating organizers having to move questions up and down on the page is a little awkward. Trying to locate videos and articles is daunting. I first reach out to support with questions and for articles/videos to save time.

It was overall a good organizer, whether it was for document, tasks and/or communication. I was able to store and organize documents, clients can also share theirs. I am able to manage and monitor my tasks and communicate my comments with the team.
Pros: Tax Managment - I like that I was able to manage my team tasks properly, monitor what stage the task is in.
Cons: Adding Sub-folders in Docs section, I don't think there was an option that you can directly add a sub-folder. I only know to ad folder and then you have to move it to the main folder for it to be a sub-folder. I also do not like that there is no option for me to view a task of certain teammate. Although you can view "All Tasks"

Cons: What I liked least was the setup phase. TaxDome is powerful, but dialing in templates, automations, and settings took real time before the system hit its full stride.

While this program seems to have a lot of potential, I feel it has many drawbacks as far as being expedient and easy to use. There is no easy way to get into or to view a client's documents. You have to go through way too many steps to get to where you're trying be. Did you know it takes 14-16 mouse clicks just to run a credit card from start to finish? And you can't pay multiple invoices at one time (some clients pick up and pay for 4 or 5 or more family members tax documents at one time and each is invoiced separately, so the client has to wait while each one is run individually). This is extremely cumbersome especially at tax time! I think, with a few tweaks, this could be a much faster and more efficient program.
Pros: I like the fact that clients can easily register to use the site. It has a lot of features, but that being said, there are many features we will never utilize.
Cons: I find the program to be cumbersome and slow. There are too many steps required to get to documents or to pay a client's invoice.

We’ve had a very positive experience with TaxDome. Overall, it has made our tax season run much more smoothly and has helped streamline our workflow, client communication, and document management. The setup process is definitely time-consuming and can feel a bit overwhelming at first. However, the TaxDome support team was consistently friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the process, which made a big difference. Once everything was up and running, the system became a great asset to our firm. I would absolutely recommend TaxDome to other firms—just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to set it up properly and learn the platform before your busy season begins.

We use it all day. When it goes down, we are dead in the water. TD is used for all clients who seem to have no problems using it.
Pros: I am a user and not the owner so many things don't apply to me. I would however like to speak of what I would like to see. Secured documents and storage capacity is great!!!
Cons: 1) Would like an easier time of dropping/dragging pdfs to/from TD. 2) We do have some speed issues where the app seems to be taking a long time to catch up.

I like Taxdome very much, I use to to follow up with our hundreds of T1 clients, and all the status are clear, no need to check with clients back and forth
Pros: it's all-in-one management platform is very helpful. You can do anything in client's account, and check any updates from there
Cons: When you set up a job, you can not make it show on the job list on a scheduled date, it has to be shown at once and makes a little confusion for the job list

It has been a really great experience. The transition to the software has been seamless this year, and clients have really enjoyed the client-side experience as well.
Pros: I really like having an “all-in-one” software. Being able to manage client information, communicate, and handle invoicing all in one place has been really great.
Cons: The technical aspects of setting up the software for manual payments were a little tricky, but we were able to work through it with the help of the support team.

They are a little pushy with things like changing to Stripe without another option. They also changed pricing despite claiming that they never would do that.
Pros: All the features that I need to run a remote CPA firm. I find that the workflows that I need are well supported within this product. Document and project management as well as proposals and ELs are all good.
Cons: They are forcing me onto Stripe as a payment processor and I cannot use an alternative within their platform invoicing.

The experience so far has been great. I have managed to organize my workflow, CRM data, and time-tracking so much more since implementing TaxDome within my practice.
Pros: I love how robust TaxDome is with all of it's features, and the fact that they are constantly adding new features. Tax Return Delivery has been a game changer for my practice and how I deliver tax returns and inform clients about upcoming payment deadlines. I also enjoy the integrations with QuickBooks, Stripe and other solutions I use.
Cons: It can be difficult to get set up in TaxDome starting out, and there is a lot of clicking to perform any task. It also has been really buggy recently with all of the new features they are rolling out.

They are money hungry... Looking for a new product. The product is the bare min for what I need but Will look else where.
Pros: I like there is a CRM, but man they have change their methods. They are always trying to charge more the are like intuit.
Cons: They took away CPA CHARGE, without a discussion. The community has spoken on their Disapointment. Its sad.

I generally just use it for e signature, I want to learn the program a little more comprehensively. I want my clients to use the portal to send sensitive documents.
Pros: The interface of the webite, the syncing of emails and the e signature feature. I like the variety of tax organizers that are available.
Cons: Its generally a great program, I want the phone customer service to be a bit more reachable. I would also like a CRM to be added to the software

I've been very frustrated with the "New Features" that are listed as coming out on a certain date. Then that date comes and goes and it's STILL not available. For months and months past when it was originally stated to come out. The overall experience is good, but don't promise things that you can't deliver is my overall message.
Pros: I like the project management part of the software. Also, the automated features saves a lot of time. For example, auto emailing clients for status updates and being able to bulk email a bunch of clients at once.
Cons: The billing part of the software is extremely frustrating. I've been very frustrated with the "New Features" that are listed as coming out on a certain date. Then that date comes and goes and it's STILL not available. For months and months past when it was originally stated to come out. I need to be able to delete a payment from an invoice if the client's payment fails, but this is not an option. Also, the lack of being able to apply a partial payment in many cases is just ridiculous.

TaxDome has been an amazing tool for our firm. It has helped me stay far more organized with client communication, document management, task tracking, and workflow automation. Clients can securely upload documents, sign engagement letters, and communicate with us all in one place. It has made our processes much smoother and more professional. It's been rough. Hopefully that is behind us. Still trying to work on some things but it isn't terrible once you get through the set up. It has Ease of use marked in green, but that is not the case.
Pros: I like that you can pull IRS tax transcripts straight from there. And once you do get all the way of setting it up, the automations are great if they do what you need them to do.
Cons: That I had to set up the entire software, it's lengthy process and takes forever. You literally have to set everything up, you can't just get to work. Plan to have several months/Pay extra for lessons, and extra for one-on-one time, of set up before you can actually use.

I’ve always had nothing but great things to say about TaxDome. They are everything you need to be successful in the tax prep/accounting industry. The templates are formatted for exactly what is needed and it saves so much time.
Pros: TaxDome is truly an all-in-one practice management suite. The automations save so much time, the communication features allow for a seamless interaction with clients, the integrated website is invaluable! Time tracking, billing, workflow automation, payment processing, scheduling, I mean it’s all there. They continue to make improvements and it’s amazing. The customer service is unmatched they are always available and willing to help. The entire tax management process is seamless it allows for step-by-step support. The organizers are easily reviewed and edited, the pipelines when set up properly allow the workflow to go over easy, and the tax return delivery amongst the abilities to tick mark and never into a single PDF are just game changers. The price has gone up but it still saves a tons of money!
Cons: It is a bit difficult to get acclimated to. You’ll have to take some time to get the automations set up properly and to create a process that flows. Once you do that it’s great. The website builder feature it a bit limited from others but it still creates a beautiful, manageable site.
