I've been in VoIP since the wild west days — back when SIP trunking was still a novelty and half these carriers didn't know what they were doing. Used VoIP.ms back then, even stuck with them through the DDoS attacks that took them down for weeks and cost me a lot of money. Came back recently after a few years out of the industry because I trusted them. Big mistake. Scaled up an outbound operation, one subaccount got flagged — fine, I get it, fraud systems exist for a reason. Responded to their team same day, explained everything, they acknowledged it and asked follow-up questions. Normal process. While that ticket was still open they cancelled everything. Every number. Every client line. Weekend. No email. No warning. Gone. I've dealt with a lot of carriers over the years. This is the first time one has pulled the rug mid-conversation while I was actively cooperating with them. FCC complaint filed. Learn from my mistake.
Pros: Their API is genuinely impressive and their pace of innovation kept me recommending them for years. Honestly one of the more developer-friendly carriers out there — that's the only reason I kept coming back.
Cons: Cancelled my entire account mid-conversation with their own fraud team. No warning, no email, no chance to port my numbers. Found out when calls started failing on a Saturday.

It is all ok for me. Ça va très bien pour moi. J'utilise une interface qui fait le lien entre le IP et l'analogue

Cons: The funds are in US $ Some difficulties to setup the telephone interface to use IP. Par contre il y a beaucoup d'aide en français.

It was meeting our needs until the surprise $75 charge. I've reached out to Customer Support with screenshots showing that I had the service disabled but they still won't reverse it.
Pros: Started out as an great low-cost option for a landline but things went sour. The call quality was fine but we have to press the Flash button to get a dial tone.
Cons: The setup was very complicated and time consuming, but manageable for someone tech-savvy. Despite having Emergency Services disabled, they connected an accidental 911 call and charged me $75 for the call after the fact.

voip.ms overall: Great product line, very competitive pay-as-you-go pricing, incredible feature set, industry-leading customer support - fast responses, superior technical knowledge, patient assistance to people with a wide range of expertise. Outstanding availability - with extraordinary security measures added in the past two years. My highest recommendation.
Pros: What I like most about the voip.ms softphone is that it's provided by voip.ms, with seamless access to multiple special voip.ms features. Easy to configure.
Cons: Again, regarding only the new softphone initial release: It only works with the "master" voip.ms account, not with a sub-account. This means that your master password is used for this process, and that password is involved / exposed in softphone registration. Also, only one voip.ms softphone is supported per account. Because of this I'm sticking with Linphone. Please announce when sub-account support is added!

Overall my experience with VoIP.ms has been good. Their products do pretty much anything a small business needs without necessarily needing to have a full PBX onsite or in the cloud. It works well.
Pros: I like how easy it is to procure a new DID / Local Number. They often have numbers in stock for my rural location or they can procure one within a few days. It is also much cheaper to purchase a DID from here than other competitors.
Cons: Their documentation is often a bit lacking or out of date. It's not usually a huge problem but it does create some frustration at times.

10 stars. It is a powerful telcom system with worldclass support.
Pros: Tech support is fantastic. When making a suggestion for improving something, they actually listened and said they are forwarding the suggestion onward. Big wow factor for me
Cons: When I am out of the country (USA) requires additional verification. Usually not a problem, but one time the server (or something) was not functioning resulting in my not being able to login. Annoying but not fatal.

My experience with VoIP.ms has been smooth and reliable. The service provides great call quality, competitive pricing, and a wide range of useful features that have helped streamline my business communications. I also appreciate the flexibility it offers, allowing me to customize call routing and manage multiple numbers effortlessly. While the setup required some initial learning, their support team and documentation made it easy to get everything running efficiently. Overall, it has been a cost-effective and dependable solution for US Contractors Services, and I’m happy with the results.
Pros: My name is Roberto Zeledón, and my company is US Contractors Services. What I liked most about VoIP.ms is its reliability and flexibility. The platform offers affordable pricing, excellent call quality, and a wide range of features that make communication easy for businesses like mine. Additionally, the ability to customize call routing and integrate with other systems is a huge advantage. Their customer support is also very responsive and helpful.
Cons: here isn't much I disliked about VoIP.ms, but if I had to choose something, I would say that the initial setup requires some learning, especially for those new to VoIP services. However, their extensive documentation and responsive customer support make the process much easier. Once everything is set up, the service is reliable, cost-effective, and highly customizable, which makes it a great choice for businesses like mine.

Its the best support experience I have ever had with a carrier
Pros: Support is really really responsive and top notch. Even when I had a complicated issue with a specific international number they were able to re-route traffic to make it work within minutes. Other carriers this would have taken days and days.
Cons: Some of the calling rates to europe are not great.

Very Positive experience - appreciate the extensive help system.
Pros: Low cost and high reliability of the system.
Cons: Unresolved issues with SMS capabilities on main DID numbers

My recent attempt to switch to VoIP.ms has left me feeling utterly exasperated and trapped in a cycle of frustration. Here's a rundown of the my obstacle I encountered: Porting Woes: After eagerly signing up for VoIP.ms, I found myself stuck in an activation limbo for 4mos. Despite following all the prescribed steps, providing the information asked , if they only looked at ALL my attached documentation. they would find their answer. Nope they just cancelled the request and mark ticket resolved. This went from Dec 2023 when I started this initiative and ended mid Mar 2024 when I decided enough. I cancelled the account and will stick with my current VOIP provider Ubiquiti
Pros: Cost was the driver in the decision making process
Cons: the annoyance of them closing support tickets after they respond and mark them as "Resolved". They instruct you to open another one, then another one and so on...

The more I use it, the more I like it.
Pros: My phone is available anywhere in the world, wherever I have an Internet connection,
Cons: The voice mail speech to text to e-mail breaks short messages into several e-mails.

Pros: VoIP ms is a great Canadian company that provides a great quality voice line with POPs everwhere and outstanding customer service. I couldn't be happier.
Cons: Nothing. The experience is wonderful and the service is amazing.

Pros: We like that we have a phone solution that offers many features for very little money - it's a great value. We're able to screen our calls and then block spam/phishing callers, of which it seems there are a lot these days. The voice quality of the calls is extremely good.
Cons: I'd don't like that we're still paying for our ported phone number every month. There should have been a one time charge and done.

satisfactory
Pros: Seamless integrations with Hosted PBX and the voice quality is fantastic
Cons: limitations around adding multiple SIP accounts to Multi-tenant PBX plus charging for the inbound calls which is typical of services based in North America

Overall, I would highly recommend VoIP.ms to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable VoIP provider. I have been using them as the primary VoIP provider for my business and several of my clients' businesses for over 10 years. I have been very impressed with the reliability of their service, as well as the speed, knowledge, and professionalism of their customer support. The few times that I have had to contact customer support, I have always received responsive, helpful, efficient, and courteous assistance -- even outside of business hours or on weekends. My clients are in a variety of industries and range in size from SoHo to mid-sized businesses to large multinationals. With both flat rate and pay-as-you-go plans, VoIP.ms's pricing flexibility and low rates allow me to find a plan that fits each situation's particular needs.

Pros: The ease of use for the backend is what sold us on the service. We are very well versed in setting up IVRs, queues, ring groups and many features - the back end made this an easy task and allowed us to optimize all routing and calls to the best needs of our company.
Cons: Just would like a phone support option, but the email support is very responsive, so it makes up for it.
Tim U. · Head of Customer Success · Information Technology and Services · August 27, 2023
Superb.
Pros: It offered a cost-effective and high-value solution
Cons: The fact that it was based outside of the country
Scott S. · Plant Manager · Machinery · August 27, 2023
It was easy to integrate older and new devices into the system with no real issues or support.
Pros: One of the best features of VoIP.ms are the well documented and explanatory Wiki pages allowing to start from scratch new projects with very little support.
Cons: When navigating the website, it seems that you need to re-enter your user credentials quite often. May be this is needed for security issues to protect hacking.
Paul G. · SSE · Wireless · August 25, 2023
Pros: Flexibility, configurability, affordability; and a small Canadian company.
Cons: Control panel can be difficult to navigate due to its flexibility and complexity, particularly when one is only in there a couple of times a year.
Ben K. · Proprietor · Computer Software · August 25, 2023
