Overall, the experience with FunctionPoint has been pleasant. It allows me to see my daily task assignments and track my time accordingly to my time sheet.
Pros: FunctionPoint is our time tracking management software for our agency. I like FunctionPoint because it gives me an overview of how my time is tracked daily toward project tasks and assignments.
Cons: There are a number of capabilities and features in FunctionPoint which can make it difficult to navigate and search for information at a quick glance.

Overall, Function Point is excellent for organizing years of files and tasks. It’s highly efficient for assigning tasks to individual team members and tracking everything. That said, I do think some redundant tasks could be automated. For instance, logging time for each task daily feels repetitive. An automated system that carries over time entries from previous tasks could streamline this. For example, if 2 hours are allocated to Task A from 9–11 a.m., the next task (Task B, 1 hour allocated) could automatically be filled in from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Pros: I like Function Point for its absolute zero lagging time. Once clicked, it goes straight to the task or job that I want without showing me the loading time forever. It is quite straightforward, searching for task numbers is easy to do and it is efficient for keeping numerous tasks organized.

Cons: However, sometimes I need to sift through files to find tasks without a task number. I typically filter out tasks completed within the last week, but anything older requires more time to find. There may be a better way to navigate and search, but I haven’t found one yet.

Function point is a basic but efficient tool if you're trying to estimate project hours and timeline.
Pros: Function point is an efficient project management software with time tracking feature. You can also create project plans, estimates, and invoices.
Cons: The interface is very basic and it can be difficult to navigate to different sections of the website. Adding details about a task or estimate can be a challenge considering the space is limited and you have to drag view again and again.

When it comes to project and operational management, there are loads of options that talk a good game. However, the Function Point team is actually changing the game with how agencies and production companies can run their businesses successfully. Function Point set our business up for success in navigating a pandemic, remote work, and new sales structures. Changing our project management system to FP has been the single greatest immediate and long term benefit to our company's profitability. Our business is healthier and our employees are happier because of the things we can do and see now with the FP operating system. The sheer amount of usable, reliable and readable data that the Function Point platform can produce matched with the top notch customer experience and support makes the perfect software to support busy creative agencies.
Pros: The ease of timetracking against specific jobs, service lines and tasks; financial and project/task management tracking in one platform; estimate creation within the system that has all the information transferred automatically when making it a job; the BI reporting with bar graphs and pivot grids.
Cons: The lack of reviewing software; how difficult/how many extra steps it takes to move a task to a different assignee or different date; no seemless/single channel communication tab; no quick search functionality; it's not an easy system for account or project managers to keep tabs on mulitple projects/people at once.

Their onboarding and customer service people have been great. I love the check-ins that they do to see if FP can be more useful to our company. Any technical problem that I've had has been resolved in a speedy manner.
Pros: We love it's ability to have over-arching projects that individual jobs are tied to. We have a lot of clients that give us a large PO to cover multiple things. We also like the ability of manage deferred payments / deposits in the system. I also like that the development team is listening to their users requests. There is a Submit and Idea button available, and users can view others ideas and give their input as well. Their Help Centre is fabulous, too, with videos, briefs, Crash Courses, Webinars, and a library of help topics.
Cons: I feel the reporting features could be improved. They do have wonderful reports for getting granular data, but they don't have the particular information I am looking for in a report. Users do, however, have the ability to download data from reports to spreadsheets so data can be arranged in a report of their choosing.

Overall Function Point is a great comprehensive tool that helps increase productivity, supports automate many processes within a company and helps improve the collaboration and communication between workers.
Pros: It's best feature is most probably the time tracking functionality. Every employee uses it to track their time daily, then reports will be created and send directly to clients. The real time tracking makes clients happy as they know where their money goes, also the employees have it all saved as input for later. Also great reporting tool: the organisation knows where most time and energy is invested by its employees.
Cons: The one con we can think of is that although for an experienced user it becomes easy to maneuver, it does require training.

Overall, using Function Point does not help keep me organized. I end up writing a lot of my tasks in a word doc instead because the visibility is easier than using the tool, and then go in after the fact and check off projects when I'm done.
Pros: I think that Function Point covers a wide breadth of project management tasks. I like that the timesheets are in the same place as projects, it makes it really easy to label tasks throughout the day.
Cons: I don't like the structure of Function Point. The projects are pretty broad and it's difficult to make subtasks for yourself to keep everything organized. It's also hard to see the status of other people's tasks in the same project. You can't just click into a parent task and see everything, you have to filter by their name and scan through their tasks. So the collaboration aspect is challenging.

Their client services team is great! it provides integration of different metrics and views of projects and agency management. We actually used this software in a couple different ways and got enough support from their team to accommodate the product to our needs, and re-engineer the processes.
Pros: This software has a great integration of project management, time management, budgets, suppliers and many other features that make it unique. Constant improvements and features make the software quite competitive when compared to other industry standards, although it is not as common
Cons: Could use better visibility for task management in a more agile friendly manner such as sticky notes view. Missing multiple currency integration for agencies working in multiple countries

Overall my experience has been pleasant and enjoyable and I plan on continuing to use.
Pros: The project management features are rich and allow proposals to be brought directly over and jobs created from them. User task tracking and time management features are deep.
Cons: I have enjoyed using the software and not much I dislike. As an online service there are times when outages have occurred at inopportune moments.

It has been amazing being able to do so many things with a customizable dashboard, easy to use program, etc. There is probably so much more to learn but what I have access to now is already great!
Pros: Function Point is a great tool where we put our time, our project notes, our client design briefs and more. It is a tool that we use every single day and we were able to get some clients to use it to send us design requests and they are able to put examples of a project so we can see what they need and we can send them drafts over FP.
Cons: On the timesheet, there is an actual hours over the estimates hours for each project but it goes away when you put in your hours once, so you need to open it up again in a new spot just to see where you are for hours. We have talked to them and they are fixing this right after they make changes to other parts of the site.

Overall great experience so far, collaboration is easy and keeping track of spending / job progress / billable hours is simpler than other platforms.
Pros: That the layout is clear and easy to navigate. It makes it easy to assign tasks and collaborate with the rest of the team. Also love how easy it is to track time using the Weekly View timesheet window.
Cons: The financials page can be confusing when flipping between Estimates, Financials and Invoices (numbers repeat themselves, and line items are used a bit differently on each page).

Pros: Handles everything in one system -- setting up clients, creating jobs, allocating time to projects and tracking due dates. It's also nice that it allows customization and can handle POs and invoices.
Cons: This isn't a great CMS and definitely doesn't include the features that a sales team desires. It also won't allow you to see the difference between hours budgeted and hours actually spent as you have to reconcile the "estimated" and "actual" hours spent.

Pros: Attention to detail. They've thought every aspect through.
Cons: There are a LOT of steps to complete for anything you need to do.

Great so far. I haven't used any other tracking software so it's difficult to compare. I like the reliability of the platform though, as it never seems to be down which is important.
Pros: All in one place for timesheets, estimates and invoices.
Cons: Creating a quick estimate for a potential client can be cumbersome. If the deal doesn't close, then you have this client contact in the system which may not be useful, where adding and maintaining this client is not efficient.

It works, and it isn't any work at all.
Pros: It's easy to use, and it keeps track of everything. I record my time often, sometimes every 15 minutes, and it isn't a problem to enter it quickly. It's not a chore or a hassle, and timesheets are usually both.
Cons: Having to log in every day, even though that only takes about three seconds.

Excellent - the only issue was when they updated the display of the task page and the took the feedback and improved it for the customer!
Pros: I love how naturally intuitive the software is. It's really easy to use and navigate - couldn't be any simpler!
Cons: We were disappointed with how the "add a task" page was functioning but the Customer Service team heard our feedback and restored the page to how it previously displayed.

Pros: For regular employees, the system is fine. It lets them enter all the pertinent information. I like how I know where my project stands at any given time - visually it's easy to see that from the screens without having to jump around too much
Cons: I think the billing features could use some work. We bill a lot of our clients via retainer and it just doesn't work as smooth as it should compared to regular time billing

Pros: - It's fairly intuitive - It does keep all information on a job together, in one place - The customizable dashboards based on how you will use it in your role - Timesheets are straight foward and easy to use (makes for easier tracking on a job) - Dashboards on where a project is sitting financially are nice
Cons: - The amount of clicks it takes to get to certain areas (ie - hours assigned on a job or getting into an estimate when you don't recall the job number) - Scheduling could be so much better! Incorporating a scheduling system similar to SmartSheet would be amazing - Tasks could also improve. I'd like to see the ability to add sub-tasks or the ability to cc another person on tasks (think Trello) - Google Doc integration would be AMAZING! While function point is a great place to store things, the lack of formatting and the the chance of losing all your work by going 'back' in a browser is limiting.

Pros: As a user of Function Point, I’ve noticed the UI UX is smart and intuitive.
Cons: I only really use it for logging my hours. Not sure how to utilize beyond that, or if I would even want to.

Overall we have enjoyed it, we are about to get our quickbooks integrated, so that will be nice - hope that it works great.
Pros: I like that it is easy to navigate and find things quickly. I like how the interface is branded and the some of the reporting is great.
Cons: I wish you had better options on estimate sending- like tracking to see if they opened the email and housing the email in the job that you sent for estimate approval. you see your email when you have to send an invoice, but should be the same on estimating. -- I wish you had a better setup for jobs/estimate on annual budgets - with trying to keep the team on their monthly hours and then having monthly jobs... it gets boggled down with that many jobs.... I wish we could see how other agencies of our size have their function point organized....
