Overall, I like using Bluebeam Revu for its ease of use and the many functions that can be done. The only dislike is that when working with larger files, the program occasionally crashes without warning. If this could be resolved, this would be a near perfect program in my opinion.
Pros: I like how much quicker this program can run than when using Adobe. I also like how easy it is to mark up and add comments to drawings and also to create collaborative sessions with other Team members and see comments made in real-time. I also like how easy it is to scale drawing sheets accordingly and to get measurements of floor plans without the need to use a CAD software program.
Cons: What I like least about Bluebeam Revu is that the program occasionally crashes abruptly without notice and I end up losing any unsaved work. I have had the program reinstalled and with the latest updates in hopes that this would fix the issue, but the program still seems to crash without warning. I have noticed this particularly when working with larger files.

Overall, I have had a positive experience with Bluebeam Revu. Its flexibility is one of its biggest strengths, particularly in allowing users to handle both plan takeoffs and plan markups efficiently. It works well as an all-in-one tool for reviewing, tracking, and managing drawing-related tasks.
Pros: The biggest advantage of Bluebeam Revu is its ease of use. It has a user-friendly interface that makes reviewing plans, creating markups, and coordinating with team members simple and efficient.

Cons: The biggest downside to Bluebeam Revu is the subscription model. The recurring cost can become expensive, particularly for companies that need access for several team members.

Overall, my experience with Bluebeam Revu has been very positive. After getting used to the interface, it became a powerful and efficient tool for working with PDFs. It helped me complete tasks more quickly, especially when it came to annotating documents and collaborating with others. While there is a learning curve at the beginning, the features and productivity benefits make it worth the effort.
Pros: I have been using Bluebeam Revu for a few years now and it's so convenient. What I liked most about Bluebeam Revu is its powerful and precise markup tools, which make it easy to annotate and edit PDFs efficiently. The collaboration features, especially Studio sessions, are also a big advantage because they allow teams to work together in real time. Additionally, the measurement and takeoff tools are very useful for projects, helping save time and improve accuracy.
Cons: What I liked least about Bluebeam Revu is that it can be difficult to learn at first because the interface is packed with features, which can feel overwhelming for new users. I do enjoy all its features I just wish they were organized a bit neater to understand. It can also run a bit slow on older or lower-performance computers.

I have used Bluebeam since 2017 and within a year, people at my company called me "Bluebeam University". I was the go-to for creating Bluebeam exhibits & markups/quantity takeoffs. When people ask me what programs they need to run a construction business, Bluebeam is easily top 3.
Pros: Bluebeam is the best PDF editor/markup/exhibit creation tool I have ever used. I use it daily and I could not do my job without it.
Cons: I can't think of any right now. Maybe its start up time, but I am a millennial and I have unreasonable demands for technology..

Great for our team of engineers and architects. Can easily combine multiple documents into one document making a project very organized.
Pros: The ease of use to markup PDFs and to easily edit. Very user friendly with hardly any training with contradicts other reviews.
Cons: Cost of software but worth the cost after using and reaping the benefits of the software. Need to have a powerful computer.

Great until something occurred that no one seemed able to help with. The solution was painfully slow.
Pros: The product is fantastic for drawing, markup and collaboration. PDF documents are a breeze to navigate. Overall the product itself is great.
Cons: For no reason, I was notified that my subscription had expired (6 months before it was supposed to). I was off line, unable to use my product and I was shuttled from one person to another that was 'looking into it' for over a week while my workflow was basically shut down.

I would rate this a sold 9/10. It is extremely smart tool for PDF editing with real time collaboration. It is tailor made for professional work rather than a personal one.
Pros: Most Liked: The sheer ability to edit PDF files. This is our go to PDF editing tool in the company. It is strictly professional where we can collaborate in real time.
Cons: Its slightly overpriced for a beginner or even a small company. And, for a beginner who has no experience in PDF editing can find this software humbling.
BISHNU A. · Project Engineer · Construction · January 19, 2026
Pros: I use Bluebeam the most for reviewing and marking up construction drawings. The tools that Bluebeam offers make it very easy to import specific stamps that you use often, cloud/highlight certain areas of a document and even move pages around. I also really love the comparing tool where you can lay multiple page on top of each other to see where they differ without having to figure it out on your own side-by-side.
Cons: Occasionaly Bluebeam with glitch and not maximize from the start bar, even though I know the app is open and I have documents open within it. This generally has to do with disconnecting from my docking station, and hasn't ever effected documents saving correctly - but is annoying none-the-less to disconnect my computer, walk into a meeting, then not be able to open for presentation.

This app seriously helps me out as a Retail supervisor. I get to work and all my documents are in one place, which makes my already-busy day a lot smoother.
Pros: What I like most about this app is that I get to manage and edit all of my PDF documents in ONE place!
Cons: After using the app for a few weeks, I was pretty surprised to find myself using it again and again without any down sides.
Kyle J. · General Manager · Retail · August 18, 2025
Pros: Great software - does what it says on the tin, without being too compicated, yet offers extra functionality for those that need it
Cons: The change from a one-of-purchase to subscription model was disappointing as it frustatingly takes the choice away to upgrade or not

My overall experience with bluebeam revu is very good, especially once get familiar with the program, and will continue to use for the foreseeable future.
Pros: What i like the most about bluebeam revu is the ease of use for marking up pdf drawings and compiling comments.
Cons: What I like the least about bluebeam revu is that it takes some getting used to, especially coming from acrobat, but once you do its a great tool.

This software is focussed on exactly what we do and the experience for all has been very good. Working on large construction drawings and being able to collaborate on multiple PDF files has improved our workflows immensely.
Pros: This product integrated with our CAD tools perfectly. Having a PDF editor working inside AutoCAD is a game changer.
Cons: This product has a bit of a learning curve to understand all the features and sometimes struggles with large files.

Excellent - BlueBeam has a fantastic training program to review if you need to, but it's also fairly intuitive. I do recommend going through some of the training though since you're likely only scraping the surface of what BlueBeam can do without doing some training!
Pros: It is daunting at first, but it's quite easy to get accustomed to using! The best feature, however, is the incredibly low price for what you get!
Cons: I don't like the inability to set/save scales on protected documents - I'm not altering the document... I just want to be able to scale it!
John B. · Territory Manager · Construction · May 21, 2025
Been with Bluebeam for 10 years and the product is great however the support is horrible
Cons: "Bluebeam Has Great Features, But Terrible Support – Look Elsewhere" Bluebeam is a powerful tool with strong functionality, but the abysmal level of support makes it nearly unusable for professional workflows. Our company relies on this software for critical projects, yet getting timely or effective help from Bluebeam’s support team is impossible. Ironically, we’d gladly pay more if it meant receiving the level of service required to actually use the product as intended. A few years ago, support was passable—not great, but at least functional. Now, it’s downright negligent. Tickets go unanswered, issues remain unresolved, and the lack of responsiveness has cost us time and money. I no longer recommend Bluebeam to anyone. In fact, I’ve made it a point to warn every director, engineer, and colleague I know to avoid it and explore alternatives. It’s a shame—such a capable product is ruined by a company that refuses to stand behind it with decent customer service.

Overall, once I learned how to navigate the capabilities of Bluebeam, I was able to perform digital takeoffs quickly. Bluebeam’s excellent customer service and how-to videos are great for first time users.
Pros: Bluebeam not only allows you to digitally estimate from your blueprints, it also has a variety of functions that allow you to create and modify pdf files.
Cons: Because Bluebeam has so many great features, trying to learn everything at first was a bit overwhelming.
Chris V. · Senior Project Manager · Construction · April 30, 2025
it has been great, it has helped with working from home or working with people in other states, the remote uses have been stellar.
Pros: Love using sessions and seeing mark-ups in real time along with a log of who was working and modifying certain things.
Cons: nothing is super intuitive, it's hard to locate tools by just the icon if you are not sure the exact nomenclature used in naming.
Eric H. · Tech · Architecture & Planning · April 9, 2025
Really positive - saves time, easy to use, great training facilities
Pros: Take offs - being able to export directly to workflow max for pricing
Cons: The format is not always readily translatable across other software - for example some elements of layers etc can be problematic if opening in Adobe.
Karen M. · Conservation Manager · Construction · April 4, 2025
Easy account set up and free onboarding session, with good on-line resources
Pros: Helps our Architectural firm to connect architects by allowing electronic mark-ups to be made easily and resent in real time. The boss uses it on his iPad, so he can mark-up anywhere, anytime, without the need for hardcopies.
Cons: We haven't used it for long - so can't quantify
Fiona S. · Office Administrator · Architecture & Planning · March 31, 2025
Very useful tool and recommended my whole company to it. We have used it for years now.
Pros: How everything is in one place and is very beginner and user friendly!
Cons: Sometimes the constant updates take a long time.
Sami A. · Administrative assistant · Construction · February 24, 2025
Pros: It is a good pdf editor. It is a good pdf editor.
Cons: I purchased the license and couldn't get my subscription to work. The customer service team tried a couple of time but didn't bother spending too much time to fix it. I had ask cancel and ask for a refund.
Gus D. · Eng designer · Civil Engineering · February 17, 2025
Fantastic. Use it daily for take-offs and regularly for uses it probably isn't even intended for.
Pros: AutoCAD's non-Ivy League cousin, Bluebeam is simple to use but has the potential for incredible stuff. I use it daily for take-off's.
Cons: Updated from a one time purchase to a yearly subscription model. Has conveniences for sure, but they are charging more.
Matthew S. · Project Engineer · Construction · February 11, 2025
Wonderful, I use Bluebeam Revu daily. This is my default PDF program.
Pros: Ease of use. Intuitive user interface. Very useful for PPDF editing and measuring.
Cons: Switching between computers is a bit more involved than I would like.
Raymond G. · Director of Irrigation and Water Management · Construction · February 6, 2025
Enjoy many features that make for quick and easy technical drawing editing. Drafters love it.
Pros: Makes it easy to edit technical drawings
Cons: A steep learning curve for people who have never used it.
Lance C. · Solution Architect · Information Technology and Services · January 18, 2025
Bluebeam has been great for collaboration between departments in our company and with clients.
Pros: Bluebeam has an immense amount of features, compared to competitors.
Cons: There are so many features and functions within Bluebeam that it becomes overwhelming to train employees.
