Good once you get past the setup process as it is pain stakingly long compare to some other options.
Pros: I liked how easy it is to connected to other Cisco products like there routers and modems for home purposes
Cons: I did not like how long it takes to setup, at first it really discourages me from continuing with cisco

My overall experience has been great. I would recommend this software to anybody who has a business at home who has a business and another site location or to anybody that works for a company that only has the option of working on site. it is very convenient and it’s a software that’s able to work in many different ways when it comes to a job title that you do with the company you work for whether it’s at home or on site.
Pros: What I like about this software is that you can connect anywhere using the software whether it is work from home work on site or work in another remote location that’s not from home at any given time. I would use this software mainly for business purposes.
Cons: There are no cons about this software. This software is really great to use. I’ve used it before and it’s very convenient for remote purposes. I can use it during call center business purposes that I do at home or anywhere in an on-site location that I did in my previous jobs that I’ve had.

Pros: Anyconnect automatically regains connection when networks fail and maintains me well connected to office server. Its DTLS encryption boosts streaming VoIP sessions, and it automatically reconnects without involving manual fuss.
Cons: The HostScan module of AnyConnect will not work sometimes and cannot give me access to VPN until I restart the host.

Pros: The second layer of Cisco AnyConnect makes me satisfied primarily when working with client data. The connection is small and encrypted, allowing me to switch between email, code repositories and remote tools without having to worry about security.
Cons: I have observed that the virtual adapter sometimes fails on Windows after updating the system resulting in errors during logging in.
Jaya C. · System Engineer · Telecommunications · June 16, 2025
Pros: Cisco AnyConnect allows me to connect to our internal resources but lose access to local internet apps or email. With its equipment setup, switching to client systems or online meetings becomes so far simpler.
Cons: The VPN will disconnect when idle, without a warning and I only notice that when internal systems go down.
Marvin R. · IT Manager · Education Management · June 9, 2025
Pros: For many years, I worked at different companies and Cisco AnyConnect has been serving me well up until now. That brings me stable access to internal resources when working from home, the road or in the field.
Cons: There have been times internal domains simply don’t resolve unless I manually refresh or re connect.
Proera B. · IT Engineer · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · June 5, 2025
Pros: My remote sessions are kept secure and stable with Cisco AnyConnect. It holds up even in extended use like all day on the road and adapts to changing networks better than the vast majority of VPNs I’ve used.
Cons: Without any clear message Cisco AnyConnect will fail to connect if I forget to close or disconnect another VPN.
Teodor D. · Data Engineer · Higher Education · May 31, 2025
Pros: Cisco AnyConnect enabled me to route only needed traffic via the VPN but keep access to everything local. It’s quite handy when I am multi-network hopping at the same time while working remotely.
Cons: It fails since it doesn't recognize captive portals on public Wi-Fi. It doesn't redirect, it just fails until I disconnect then I disconnect and manually authenticate through a browser.
Jean M. · System Engineer · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · May 26, 2025
I use it to work offsite, but I get logged out a lot and it is not intuitive to get signed in.
Pros: This software enables me to log into my computer and get into our VPN working network so I can work offsite.
Cons: Sometimes I have difficulty logging in. I wish there was an autosave of my information.

Pros: Great vpn tool. I have used this during covid and it provided stable and secure access to company items
Cons: Initial setup can be difficult. Fortunately, my team has a good IT

Kathleen C. · Account Manager · Food & Beverages · March 23, 2025
Pros: Very easy to connect to a VPN, connects really quickly and I haven't had issues with staying connected for a full day.
Cons: I understand that it is for security reasons, but if my computer goes to sleep I am disconnected from the VPN. Just something to note for those that use VPNs a lot.

Our company has been using anyconncet for years and it has never caused me any problems.
Pros: The best thing is that I can connect from anywhere.

Mihail N. · Service Engineer · Computer & Network Security · November 28, 2024
A highly reliable VPN which automatically detects you are not on a trusted network and enables VPN so that you are working in a secure network
Pros: Reliable VPN which auto connects as soon as you are outside your office network Certain software on my laptop works only on the office network and with anyconnect working remotely is possible as anyconnect enables the VPN connection to the office network and lets me use the required tools and software even if I am not connected to office network
Cons: Sometimes, it just refuses to connect to the VPN. This happens once or twice a month, but it is usually fixed automatically in 30 minutes to 1 hour, so it's not a big deal.
Netra S. · Senior RPA Developer · Oil & Energy · November 26, 2024
Cisco AnyConnect comes with applications for PC (Windows and Linux) and phones (iOS and Android) - the application work very stable and fast.
Pros: Cisco Anyconnect is a cloud-based software that provides secure remote (VPN) access to a corporate network.
Cons: No advanced options are available. Would be better if user based connection options are allowed.
Stoyan D. · Service engineer · Computer & Network Security · October 28, 2024
Overall Anyconnect is great and easy to set up! It worked well for our use case and we hardly ever had any issues. The reason we moved away from it was to move towards a ZTNA product that offered more robust security measures and gave our organization many more features compared to AnyConnect. However, as a VPN product, you can't get much better than AnyConnect. Being able to store multiple connections and swap between them seamlessly was a great advantage for us.
Pros: If you're looking for an easy to set up VPN with MFA capabilities, it is perfect. Deploying the client to users is also very easy to do and we were connected in minutes. It also just worked, it auto updated if necessary and most users never had any issue with it randomly stopping working.
Cons: There really isn't anything terrible about AnyConnect if you need just a VPN. However MFA is essentially your only security with this product, so make sure that is implemented as well in your organization.

Overall experience was more than the expectations. Highly secured environment and high user community for any issues. Fast and express speed UI.
Pros: - Very intuitive and easy to use platform. - Deployment and signin process is super easy and hassle free. - No latency and slowness observered even in VPN connection as well.
Cons: Nothing to be disliked as such, all things work perfectly.
Er Avinash P. · Technical Support Engineer · Information Technology and Services · October 7, 2024
In general, it is a great solution, cost-effective, very helpful and reliable software.
Pros: Cisco has been a great tool for voice calls within the organization.
Cons: I don't have any complaint about Cisco up to now.

Overall I've had a great experience using Cisco AnyConnect and would recommed it
Pros: Easy and quick to use to secure a VPN connection
Cons: The only con is that its sometimes unreliable to use
Anonymous User · Counsellor · Health, Wellness and Fitness · September 17, 2024
Mostly a positive experience using Cisco AnyConnect, although I wish it would establish a connection faster.
Pros: Cisco works quietly in the background/it doesn't seem to cause any bloat to my machine. Reasonably reliable to establish a connection with too.
Cons: The setup process is a little daunting. I've used other VPNs before, but the process for Cisco was more involved than I was expecting and I had to recruit the help our IT department to help me.
Renee L. · HR Associate · Computer & Network Security · September 5, 2024
Cisco AnyConnect is a simple, straightforward, trustworthy way to allow for VPN connection, with only very occasional difficulty connecting
Pros: Ease of use, sense of safety and trust, allows simple connection to VPN
Cons: Sometimes the performance is not consistent, a few times I had to restart my computer in order to get the program to work
Louisa C. · Customer Success Manger · Retail · August 18, 2024
Pros: I love the fact that I can use FaceID with the two-factor authentication. It makes signing in that much easier!
Cons: If password is incorrectly entered, you have the potential to be locked out and need a company's admin to un-lock your account.
