We started with Plumsail Actions, and it always worked well for us, so testing Plumsail Documents when we have to manage PDF and other files was a given. There is always a component that does what we need to do, great uptime, fair price, and great support.
Pros: It is simple to set up and use, there is a wide selection of tools/actions that is always growing, and it has been working solidly for quite a while.
Cons: I don't think there is anything I do not like about Plumsail Documents or Actions. It is one of our main go-to tools when we need additional actions for no/low-code projects.

Pros: 1. Easy to pull data from SharePoint list to generate the power point file. 2. Technical support is good that I can receive the guidance quickly.
Cons: The online guidance is not clear about how to pull data to different formats, for example to a data table or as contents of one slide.

I'm happy with the experience. For what it would cost to program a replacement product on my own, this is very cost-effective, and generally easy to navigate.
Pros: Plumsail did exactly what it promised, and I needed - it allowed me to create a new DOCX document with whatever dynamic content I required (HTML, images, text, tables, etc.). Once I figured out how the system worked and got around a couple of quirks, the system worked as defined without issue.
Cons: 2 things come to mind: 1) The documentation was a little hard to navigate, especially when looking at differences in capabilities between Modern and Classic template engines. 2) Using the "Edit in Desktop" editor could be finnicky for me - it generally worked great, but seemed to a have a timeout after 5 minutes or so. After that amount of time, my changes from the Desktop editor may or may not save successfully.

Professional and simplest. Real team work, they are very good on customer support and great tool for our projects.
Pros: This was like three clicks to have my solution done. It’s amazing tool. I’m converting all my html data to pdf kind of reporting tool for daily basis tracking routes, orders and obligations
Cons: I really don’t have cons for my this is being a great experience starting on the solution, simplest and ease use

It has been great so far, and we are truly loving the output that it provides. I also wanted to shout out the resources section of your website, as it was very helpful in my initial setup and helped convince me to go with the product. The youtube tutotials were also very helpful, thank you for taking the time to create tutorials!
Pros: I loved how easy it was to set up and get started using this product. Also, it filled the hole in our project perfectly. We were struggling with a way to bring rich text formatting into our job description templates, and this product did the job! Previously, when the formatted text was sent to the template, the formatting got wiped out, and left a huge eyesore in the middle of our template. Setting up Plumsail was super easy, and now our documents look so much better!
Cons: I was a little confused by the difference between the modern and classic word templates. The rich text function seems to only work with the classic templates, so I had to figure out how to switch to using classic in order for my solution to work. Will rich text functionality be moved to the modern template in the future?

Frustrating at first, but good once formatting was clear. Would have been simple to use for generic purposes with prefilled templates.
Pros: Achieves the document templating services I need. Short setup process, and integrates nicely with automation products.
Cons: I had trouble figuring out the formatting for what I wanted to achieve. Simple documents would have been easy, but eg documents with a non-repeating title, but multiple different subtitles and "sections" inside from Excel was not as clear (either title started repeating as well or all sections were not included etc)

Plumsail is an excellent solution to help automate document creation tasks in Microsoft Power Automate. I used the "Fill in PDF Form" action to create a PDF form associated with every submission of digital form. Once it was up and running, documents were created without issue and were easily saved into our Sharepoint.
Pros: Plumsail had the support to help me automate the filling out of PDF forms, which allowed us to keep and generate said documents in our Sharepoint.
Cons: Some of the documentation for using Plumsail with Power Automate, specifically JSON structure for PDF form entries, was a not detailed enough for my use case and required some guess and check in my flows.

It has been very good. I previously made some templates in DocuMint, and found Plumsail to be MUCH easier to use. It also has more functionality. The thing that originally brought me over to Plumsail was DocuMint's inability to repeat table headers on subsequent pages. It's a breeze with Plumsail. Tech support has been AMAZING, and extremely helpful in figuring out issues I was having. They even had the developers implement new functionality based on some of my requests.
Pros: I love the ability to use Word Docx (or even Excel) as a template. Most of the products I saw only supported Google Docs.
Cons: The automatic token detection is a bit finicky with more complicated scenarios, specifically sorting or filtering tables. It could use a little improvement, like the ability to manually tell it to request a specific token when used in conjunction with the Airtable extension.

The overall experience has been very positive. I have used it in several real projects to generate documents from Airtable, integrated with Make, and the results have been consistent and reliable. It is a suitable solution for professional workflows where automated document generation is critical.
Pros: The integration with Airtable and Make is very solid and stable. It allows generating complex Word and PDF documents from related data without issues, preserving formatting and tables correctly. It is a reliable tool for professional use and fits well into automated workflows.
Cons: The pricing can be high when used intensively and when relying on Make as an intermediary. Also, the initial setup may take some time when documents include many relationships or advanced logic.

perfekt. Plumsail is working out of the box perfectly. Without any fails, perfect for automatism with PowerAutomate
Pros: Easy onboarding, transparent Price Models. High level of automatisation. We are using PowerAutomate to convert Files.
Cons: Its not for free :-) but its worth the fee. There is nothing we did not like about Plumsail Documents.

My overall experience with Plumsail Documents has been very positive. It is a reliable and powerful tool that makes document automation much easier, saves time, and integrates smoothly with other platforms like Power Automate.
Pros: What I liked most about Plumsail Documents is how easy it makes the document automation process. It’s very intuitive to use, integrates smoothly with Power Automate, and helps save a lot of time by generating professional documents automatically. It really improved efficiency in my workflows.
Cons: Sometimes the learning curve can be a bit steep at the beginning, and it takes some time to configure advanced templates. However, once set up, it works very well.

Overall, Plumsail Documents has been a great addition and we hope to continue using Plumsail in the future.
Pros: Integration between Plumsail and Power Automate is great. It automates a huge part of our process and reduces the time required on man power.
Cons: Plumsail Documents was a bit difficult to set up. Also the change from Classic to Modern was a bit confusing. I had to re write a lot of the backend values and code because things in Classic just stopped working.

Pros: Ease of us Automation Multitasks in one process Customer support is great Easy to learn Integration with Airtable
Cons: Document template editung is good but can be done only in Google docs which is not great but good enough. It is difficult to change the template. No button you need to build a new process.

Overall I am ok, because I found what I needed. I dont like when things are too details and when it is hard to find the right things. So that is solved well.
Pros: I found a solution for my problem and it was easy to implement. I do like how simple the site is and that i was able to find all the elements that I needed (API key, Subscription details)
Cons: I think the page looks a bit too simple, almost like it has been a new start up that is still under development. The page could look a bit more sophisticated to gain a bit more professionalism

Plumsail Documents has been an essential part of a high-volume document automation solution we built using Power Automate and Azure AI. We extract and process large sets of multi-page PDFs, analyze each page with AI, and use Plumsail to assemble structured Word documents; each section on its own page. The connector is fast, reliable, and incredibly flexible. It has significantly streamlined our workflow and improved document consistency across the board. Highly recommended!
Pros: The connector is incredibly flexible and easy to integrate into complex Power Automate workflows. It supports a wide range of document operations—from generating Word documents from templates to converting and manipulating PDFs—all with excellent reliability.
Cons: The main challenges we’ve encountered are around documentation and the need for clearer guidance when troubleshooting advanced scenarios. Additionally, we found it necessary to introduce delays between actions to ensure document processing completes before moving on to the next file. Better native support for handling asynchronous operations would be a welcome improvement.

Plumsail was easy set up and easy to implement. The service integrated seamlessly with our other systems.
Pros: Plumsail easily integrated with our existing systems, improving our processes and made our business more efficient.
Cons: I wish the pricing structures offered more flexibility. I would like a a pay per use model, which would allow us to get the most for our money.

Overall it is exactly what I was looking for and has been getting the job done.
Pros: The numerous ways to integrate with a number of 3rd party platforms.
Cons: Some inconsistency between the various document formats, specifically Word vs Powerpoint.

A couple months in we are loving that we found this software. It's expanded our business reporting capacity and increased the speed at which we can view our data!
Pros: A rare combination of speed and features in the document generation space. We do complex reports that it returns very quickly!
Cons: A few UI features could use additional development. Pricing is a little steep per document. Would love more direct support options for companies / enterprise with high usage as a critical business tool.

Good, very stable. Does what it says. Good support.
Pros: The ability to produce high quality docs and sheets and integrate it with other automation elements through make.com
Cons: Nothing I can think of. It basically does everything I needed it to do.

I am an Accountant with IT interests, I was able to create low-code MS flows that linked well with Plumsails Documents - all our agreements, referrals, etc are generated this way. We have used this product for 5-6 years, very happy
Pros: Works extremely well, links well with Microsoft connectors
Cons: All is good, nothing negative to report on Plumsail Documents
Dinu S. · COO · Consumer Services · January 20, 2025
I certainly use the Plumsail Documents service as part of the whole Plumsail ecosystem together with Plumsail Forms and HelpDesk. I am looking at the OrgChart service. The ease of use of Plumsail Documents service and functionality allows you to quickly automate business processes in your company and no longer think about the basic principles of automation. It is incredibly convenient!
Pros: After trying many similar services (pdf4me, encodian) I chose plumsail because it provides the best combination of price for the operation of filling my engineers' report templates in WORD. Moreover, filling a WORD template and subsequent conversion from WORD to PDF is just one operation! Very convenient and economical.
Cons: Nothing. That's right, no cons! Except that my appetite grows while eating, and now I want to transfer to this service all business operations in the company for filling out WORD templates (commercial proposals, travel requests, and even automatic filling out of contracts!).
