Simpro helps small businesses in construction, engineering, and facilities services manage quoting, scheduling, and billing. It’s most used by field teams and admins who rely on daily workflows. While valued for its quoting and invoicing tools, users often cite onboarding complexity and limited app flexibility. A recent standout tool update enables emailing supplier purchase orders directly from Simpro Mobile.

Overall, my experience with Simpro has been very positive. It’s a powerful all-in-one platform that really helps streamline job management, from quoting through to completion and invoicing. Once you get used to how everything is structured, it becomes a central hub for running day-to-day operations efficiently. The scheduling, job tracking, and integration between different parts of the system stand out the most, saving time and improving visibility across projects. While there are a few areas that take some getting used to, the benefits definitely outweigh the drawbacks. Overall, it’s a reliable system that adds real value to managing jobs, teams, and business performance.
Pros: The user interface is very intuitive, making it easy to onboard new team members without extensive training. Job scheduling and dispatching are extremely efficient and it’s simple to assign work, track progress, and update jobs in real time. The integration between quoting, invoicing, and job management is seamless, which saves a lot of time and reduces admin errors. Reporting features are strong, giving clear insights into job costs, profitability, and overall business performance. The mobile app is a big plus for field engineers — they can update jobs, upload photos, and capture signatures on-site. Inventory management is well organised and helps keep track of stock levels accurately. Customer support is responsive and helpful when issues do come up. The system is very scalable, so it works just as well for growing businesses as it does for larger teams.
Cons: The PO (purchase order) system and work orders can be quite delicate. they need to be handled in very specific ways, otherwise it’s easy to throw off a job’s financial figures. Some workflows require multiple steps, which can slow things down for straightforward tasks. Occasional lag and the odd system crash can be frustrating, particularly when working on larger jobs or detailed quotes.

Pros: Their sales pitch. They came to me to do the set up. They are great marketers of their own branding...
Cons: Almost every aspect. The software is really only suitable for large, multisite businesses who have the budget to spend on the software and the staff to manage it.

my overall experience, I like it because it make my make my work more easier and straight forward! I will highly recommend it
Pros: This application has really helped me with my project management right come job quotes costing to to my task maintenance planning
Cons: It is time consuming, it takes time to learn and the interface to my is kinda clunky, I think they can do better with it

Really impressed - personally I can't see any other way of working for the foreseeable. I would recommend it to any business in a similar trade, as long as they are able to put the work in for implementation & ongoing dev.
Pros: Simpro has proven itself to be a reliable CRM system for our business. It is flexible and customisable to suit our ever-changing business workflows and now we've been going for a while we find it very easy to use.
Cons: Support can be lacking especially when it comes to the mobile application. The usual response it just to re-install the app.

After 2 years we are ready to quit! Very outdated, the user interface is awkward and not intuitive, it reminds us of Windows 95! We regularly loose work, I had to enter my notes THREE times recently! Support was friendly but decided that it was probably our fault and won't do anything. Infuriating!!
Pros: Lots of options, capable of lots from quoting to invoicing, with lots of integrations with other software
Cons: Loses work regularly, not intuitive, expensive. Any issues are your fault not theirs so problems during get fixed

Our experience was both frustrating and time consuming. We were sold a software program that was both not a good fit for our industry and overly complicated. We tried and tried to find solutions, but nothing worked. We requested our money back since they made the mistake in overselling it and also not really paying attention to our company needs, but no one response. They took $2300 from us and delivered nothing. The company has the worst customer service and support.
Pros: I thought the training was okay. [sensitive content hidden] our training knew how to explain and answer questions the best he could.
Cons: The representative that sold us the problem, missed very important aspects of our company. Aspects that later on showed up during the training, and that no one knew or cared to handle. The software was not a good fit for our industry.

Pros: That it was founded in Brisbane and was once local QLD company. Unfortunately the Pro was flexibility of users (adding or subtracting licences to suit the staff fluctuations of business) but they are removing this option with minimum users and lock-in contracts.
Cons: Being hit with a lock-in contract option of 3-years or 5-years at an ‘expected’ 8% per annum (CPI + 5%) locked in to a minimum user quantity. The alternative option is the threat of a ‘12% (subject to change)’ per annum increase. Extortionate approach. Bought out key competitor AroFlo and now playing this monopolistic card. SimPRO claims ‘scaling together’ in the proposal, if I increased charge out rates by 8% or 12% per annum for the next 5-years we wouldn’t have any customers left, we’ll be scaling alright, scaling backwards

Excellent for job costing, tracking expenses, integrating with accounting software, and efficient invoicing/payments.
Pros: powerful features for scheduling, inventory, and project management, though users note a steep learning curve, sometimes clunky UI, and challenges with complex custom reporting or specific regional setups.
Cons: issues importing data, with many feeling it adds extra steps and slows workflows despite its powerful backend.
cory r. · Ops · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · December 11, 2025
one we would like to forget, but they won't let you due to binding contract. They promised to work with us to part ways after agreeing the system wasn't working only for their vice president of sales to completely renege on this.
Pros: They're good at marketing, to point of contract being signed. They suggest an intuitive leaning platform....
Cons: the system requires a full time inputter, is extremely time consuming and the results do not warrant the input. after sales service is offensive at best. Be very careful about the contract which you will NOT be allowed to alter at all unless its to their advantage.

It started off pretty bad, they missed training meetings, each time it was a different staff member, as they had left. Support has been poor, product does get slightly improved every now and then. But generally not great. Its a shame, because it has the potential to be great. Just lacking good software developers.
Pros: I'll come back to this. Struggling to think of anything. I suppose being on hold for 30 minutes at a time, allows for me to reflect my life choices of this software...
Cons: Support is poor. App requires full reinstall after every update. Regularly has bugs and work is lost. Prices have recently gone up again and there are regular outages. If you try ringing, it's usually a long wait. Support tickets are normally days, not hours for responses.

My overall experience with Simpro has been positive. It’s a comprehensive job management system that helped streamline operations, particularly in areas like scheduling, quoting, job tracking, and invoicing. The integration between field staff and office workflows was especially useful, and having everything in one place improved our efficiency and visibility
Pros: Professional , full work force management, Tracking cost and tracking revenue for a multiple projects. very powerful tools specially for toadies
Cons: While Simpro is a powerful platform for job management, one of the things I liked least was its user interface, which can feel a bit clunky and unintuitive—especially for new users. It sometimes takes multiple clicks to get to common tasks, which slows down workflows. Additionally, report customisation is limited unless you have advanced skills or external tools, which can be a challenge for teams needing flexible reporting
Joseph A. · Accounts manager · Construction · August 4, 2025
Pros: I started use Simpro since 2021 and crossed three different entities. Very easy and convenience to use.
Cons: The problem is that we could not copy files/jobs from one entity to another entity, only some basic information
Christine W. · Accounts · Construction · July 28, 2025
The program was not as user friendly and we struggled to get stuff done
Pros: You could schedule your different teams and track their time
Cons: There is just to much going on and did not suite our business, they are to expensive
Renico d. · Payroll and system administrator · Construction · February 12, 2025
Once you get the hang of it, it's very useful. There can be some setbacks like price, starting up, scaling and frequent software updates
Pros: It has a user friendly interface, which makes it quick to pickup. It is also great for documents, communication with the team and can use it in the field via their smartphone app.
Cons: It can be pricer the smaller businesses, and there are potential add ons that you really need.

Overall a good tool to keep all the information in one place.
Pros: Easy to use and integrate other tools like Tango, Calendar etc. Tutorials are self explanatory and quick set up. Safe longin enabled via Okta. Free trial period is good to evaluate the tool.
Cons: Customization is not very well established. Also it needs some automation.

I would not recommend Simpro to a single individual I know at this point. The run around and lack of care to resolve issues, or even address them, is astounding. I was told I would have someone from operations reach out to me by end of day (I have been trying to get help for a week), to only receive an email the following day it would be the end of the following week. Management needs to discuss how to handle the situation, not once has someone called me other than to offer me more "free" training. IF YOU ARE ON THE FENCE OR ARE WANTING TO TRY SOMETHING NEW DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM. They do not care about the company they care about their numbers. You are not a person to them you are just a contract.
Pros: The only item of value with this program would be the financial reporting. This is a program that the customer has to work for, it does not work for the customer. My implementation rep was the only person who actually seems to care and did try very hard to make this work for us.
Cons: $94

Pros: Overall it is easy to use and the customer support is fast and helpful.
Cons: I would like to see more customisation in permissions for viewing and changing data.

Not good any more. This product is not well supported by customer support
Pros: I dont like it at all, Simpro was sold off to an offshore investor. Since then no customer support are available and their product is often offline and the mobile apps don't upload Techn notes
Cons: No customer support, software often down and slow and mobile app not working properly
Anonymous User · Office Manager · Construction · April 21, 2024
Very poor. We were told that the system does not work for everyone and do not feel they took any time trying to understand our business before signing us up and then charged us £5k to exit the contract.
Pros: Nothing. It did not work for our business and we had to pay £5k to exit the contract after a few calls and less than 1 day trying to implement it
Cons: Everything. It don't work without a purchase order system which could not work for our business, it was not customisable, it could not do a lot of things our business needed it to do and instead of speeding uor business upo it would have slowed us down and cost us more money employing more staff
Dean W. · Director · Construction · April 9, 2024
In general you need to go into the setup of Simpro with your eyes open. Test all essential workflows as there will be snags. However, once all the issues are overcome and teams understand and own processes the Simpro works well.
Pros: Once set up, data on a range of plant and equipment can be recorded and monitored in real time. Quoting is quick with catalogs and pre-builds available. The open API is excellent with a range of add on options available to customize the build.
Cons: The asset importing function is difficult to use as it is asset based and not site based, meaning you have to use multiple templates when creating a site asset list. The time management of real time to scheduled is very clunky and hard to report on for accurate information.
Mark S. · Technical Manager · Facilities Services · March 22, 2024
Pros: Catalogue imports, Pre builds and Cost Centres
Cons: Better task management, able to have more users involved and collaborate via task management, improved project planning, Mobile app for field workers way too clunky, an enterprise level mobile app.Attachments for projects/service/asset is terrible. And accessing them from Enterprise is the same terrible interface/clunkiness. We have other apps being able to have attachements against certain elements and reviewing said elements much quicker on both ends. Its still very backwards download/upload functions.

Pros: Un logiciel très fiable et efficace à l'utilisation. Il est très sécurisé.
Cons: Très bonne sans aucune difficulté à l'utilisation.

Sorry, but this company is out for money, not the customer. We went with them because they sounded good, but after four months, we needed help to get it online. They cram train in an all-day session, and the platform was built in Australia, so the vocabulary is quite different. We decided that it wasn't for us.And This is where it gets to be a problem you have to sign up for a year contract, and even if it does not work for you, you'll pay for that year. In other words, there is no guarantee if you are not happy with it, tough luck, you'll pay for it, and way. When it talks 6 to 9 months to get the platform up and working, that is a problem, and then you have a problem with their platform, and it will not work.Their response is you have a year contract. We don't care if you can't use it. You have a contract for a year.I can only say one thing don't go with these guys there in it to make their money any way they canThere are other companies out there. Just careful
Pros: There are none to talk about. Their just a lousy company
Cons: When it talks 6 to 9 months to get the platform up and working, that is a problem, and then you have a problem with their platform, and it is not going to work.
