Overall, PaperSave is an effective for document management, but performance and interface need some improvement.
Pros: PaperSave is a good tool that streamlines document management and boosts efficiency with seamless integrations.
Cons: All I can say is that PaperSave can be slow at times and the user interface feels outdated and unintuitive.

I haven't seen the landscape of similar platforms, but I wouldn't recommend this platform. I've been using it for probably 7-8 years and there's been no updates or changes to the platform, which I felt was already dated when we launched it. Most staff at our agency dislike the platform and I have yet to hear anyone say anything good about it.
Pros: We previously managed all this on paper, so it's nice to have it in electronic form. It does save paper.
Cons: Once you drop in a receipt for processing, it usually takes several minutes for it to show up in the system. It's not immediate. The interface is not very user friendly and intuitive - I don't know if it's necessarily faster than when we did things on paper. I feel like it takes a lot of clicks to input data whereas the interface ideally should be more seamless to make the process more quick. Our fiscal manager said that although yes, it saves paper, this system doesn't save time. The interface also looks and feels pretty dated.

Working with Paper save was terrible.
Pros: I don't remember liking anything about Papersave
Cons: Papersave would not work 2 weeks out of a month on a regular basis. We would have to do work arounds to get our invoices approved and in our systems.

overall I find paper save a great product and time saver

Cons: looking up processed invoices is a little difficult compared to our last soft ware

Pros: We like the drag and drop of invoices into the workflow. It is easy to code and make changes to coding and drop into our GL system.
Cons: The administrative side regarding setting up the workflows is not easy to manage. When a change is needed it is very hard and cumbersome to deal with. I think it could also be expanded to include more workflows than what is currently allowed.

Pros: PaperSave is easy to use, integrates with Raiser's Edge easily, and makes it possible for our advancement team to see all donations and paperwork on their own.
Cons: I haven't run into many cons - whenever I've run into issues, their customer service always gets it solved quickly.

Pros: The Workflows for invoice approval are great for using with multiple managers and directors needed to approve all of the different types of invoices.

We are happy with the product. Invoice processing is much quicker then using paper and email.
Pros: We have multiple locations so this product makes getting approvals more streamline.
Cons: It can be glitchy from user to user. Support is very helpful.

Overall it's a great product and the customer service is awesome!
Pros: The ability to store any type of documents and the ease of creating a document type so that it's attached to the proper place on a record. Also being able to redact sensitive information within the software is an added bonus.
Cons: The limitations of licensing in the hosted version of PaperSave is the only feature that creates conflicts when more people need access than what we have licenses for.

PaperSave provides us a turnkey and cost effective solution for document management which helps us to reduce our company document management costs dramatically.
Pros: PaperSave provides an end-to-end cloud solution for document management and reduces our recurring costs for document management.
Cons: The initial integration was problematic, we spend so much time on integration. Additionally it was hard to get used to with the features of the system at the start.

Pros: PaperSave is really easy to use. It has made processing invoices much easier for our program. I really like it.
Cons: It took us a while to start using the program. Sometime it takes a while for invoices to come through.

It was a slow adaptation, but overall it's been a positive change in our organization. We've drastically reduced the amount of paper and ink waste in our building. If that was the only thing gained, then I'll take it.
Pros: It simplifies the invoice process dramatically by making the internal process digital. For our finance team, it helps them be more efficient knowing that invoices are coming in with the proper information filled out.
Cons: The software integration within our institution can get clunky at times. For example, sometimes I drop a file into the papersave folder and it doesn't show up when I open the software. When I need additional approval on items, it'll only sometimes email my superiors that they have pending items in their box. These small examples slow down the process a bit and need to be worked out, but it might be something on our end.

Pros: Not much to like. Wish we had picked another program. Thought this would save both time and paper but has accomplished neither.
Cons: Overly complex. Ridiculous number of steps. Not intuitive. Staff needs lots of IT help. No one can learn it by rote.

A complete audit trail of approvals; better, clearer communication; much less paper to sort on my desk, as invoices are now either emailed to me or not crossing my desk at all.
Pros: Definitely the customer support. Their support engineers are wonderful! I also love that we can look at an invoice from anywhere, that site directors can leave comments and that there is a web view available. We can also add files to our journal entries and vendor records.
Cons: Sometimes it requires a lot of clicking! This is not a problem for me, but some of the staff members using PaperSave have trouble because of their low internet speed at their work site.. We had to get new scanners that were TWAIN compliant, which was an added expense.

Pros: I liked the fact that you could have many different users at many different levels with different levels of approvals. I loved that the product synched with our accounting software so we did not have to manually attach invoices in the accounting software. It is also great to search and run queries to see where an unpaid/unentered invoice is at any point in the process.
Cons: There is a lot of sorting up front. It would be great if the system was smart enough to scan the bills and sort them automatically based on different criteria that is located on the invoice.

We bought PaperSave to add onto our Blackbaud Raisers Edge. It feels like its a web based company with everyone working from home. Nobody ever answers their phone and take long to call you back. Its always bad to deal with a company without a building and people who answer their phones. One month after install the database gets "corrupted" according to them. They say its our version of SQL. But they knew what version we had when THEY installed it and never mentioned it. If it were up to me I'd never do business with companies like this.
