Fathom

Pros: Fathom is wonderful for capturing meetings that require documented minutes. Anthing that makes work or those dreadful meetings easier gets five stars!

Cons: I have no cons to report at this time. Fatham does what it says, captures the words and gets them transribed.

Pros: I’ve tried several tools in this category, but this one truly stands out. The accuracy of the transcription is top-tier, even with background noise, and the AI-generated summaries are a total game-changer for my productivity. It’s incredibly intuitive and easy to use, making it a permanent part of my daily workflow. Highly recommended for anyone looking to save time!

Cons: There is one significant drawback for power users: it is currently not possible to collect Zoom chat data. This makes it difficult to maintain a complete record within a CRM, as any links or notes shared in the chat are lost. It is a fantastic, easy-to-use tool for voice, but the lack of chat integration is a missed opportunity for full CRM automation. Actually, CRM integration does not actually seem to be working despite the possibility being announced. Very frustrating!

Pros: The think that I like the most about fathom is that it's ability to generate AI Summaries. I used this tool to take an evaluation of intern and that went too long. So, fathom helped me generate a customized evaluation report based on the transcript generated.

Cons: Nothing as such, but when I referred one of my colleagues on fathom, my points did not increment, maybe the process I followed was wrong.

Pros: The Fathom notetaker is genuinely awesome. You can use it in any video meeting (Google, Zoom, Teams, etc.), and it's better than the built-in Google Gemini notetaker (as of the time of writing). The ai summary notes are ACCURATE. Like-- impressively accurate. Like-- more accurate than if you had a human taking notes with you. And because it records the meetings, you can click on a sentence from the ai notes and it will replay that section of the call for extra context! To me, the coolest thing is that it creates "action steps" following a meeting. In addition to insightful meeting summaries that break down each chunk of your conversation/call/talk, it automatically creates a to-do list for you (great for sharing with your counterpart, because you KNOW they aren't taking good notes).

Cons: Sometimes you can't NOT add Fathom to your meetings. That is, sometimes I don't open the Fathom app, or specifically request that it not join a meeting (because I want to save my monthly free credits for other meetings), but it seems to join anyway. If I had a paid plan or infinite credits then I wouldn't have a problem with having it in every meeting; but I'd like to be able to confidently say "don't join this meeting" to save credits for my high-impact meetings. Annoyance I don't know how to solve: I'm an iMac user and make use of the multiple desktops feature, and opening Fathom may switch me to a different "desktop." I never really know where Fathom is going to launch; and though I CAN move the Fathom instance/window around my computer as needed, it'd be nicer if it always just opened in the screen I'M actually in. Nonetheless, none of these minor inconveniences is enough to dissuade me from using Fathom. It's still a 99% benefit to my meetings!

Pros: Fathom really does help me with note taking, sends the summary of the meeting afterwards, very helpful to catch up. Also the video recordings are so useful to playback and smooth with the transcripts.

Cons: When it sends an email to the attendee, I cannot see what got sent to them. apart from that, it is very very useful.

Pros: The ease of use, after the initial setup, does it all. It's been the easiest and most efficient addition to my workflow.

Cons: I wish there were some way to see the notes live. Other than that, there really isn't much I'd change.

Pros: Fathom makes meetings so much easier to manage. I love how accurately it captures conversations, even when people speak fast or have different accents. The summaries are spot-on and save me a lot of time in writing notes. The interface feels clean and intuitive, and it’s simple enough that everyone on the team can use it without much learning curve.

Cons: Occasionally, there’s a slight delay in syncing the recordings, especially right after a long meeting. Also, I wish there were more options to customize the summary format or highlight key takeaways automatically. But these are minor things compared to how well the core features wor

Pros: Fathom is very good for process recording and documentation, as well as recording video calls for later reference

Cons: Fathom is good for capturing a whole video session of information, but that can be a lot to parse through later

Pros: Transcription software is not perfectly developed yet, but Fathom uses generative AI to complete what is missing in the ideas, and it summarizes, finds action items in the conversation, and by doing this it saves a lot of time.

Cons: The price, when you start to buy productivity software your bill starts to grow... Not only fathom, I wish all this software had different prices for low income countries.

Pros: Call Quality and Feature: Very accurate in capturing relevant information and easy to follow—great communication!

Cons: There is no app version of this AI Notetaker. An app version would make it easier to record in-person meetings without a PC present

Pros: Best is it's a set and forget. Once established and linked to my zoom and outlook calendar, even unscheduled meetings are easy to automatically record. AI function to search meetings is great as well.

Cons: Haven't had any issues so far. One thing that would be nice is the ability to customize what our page looks like.

Pros: Fathom is an incredibly reliable and easy-to-use meeting assistant that accurately captures summaries, transcripts, and action items. It keeps me organized and present in client meetings, and the customer support has been excellent.

Cons: There’s a bit of a learning curve if you want to customize settings beyond the basics. I am frustrated that webinars or specific training on Zoom do not support Fathom.

Pros: I loved the platform, intuitive meetings and database for storing words and documents, which are usually at hand and easy to access.

Cons: The fact that it is a small application that transfers meetings across other application platforms, bringing them all together in one.

Pros: I don’t have to worry about taking notes during meetings- I can just focus on the conversation. It feels great to really listen to my clients without stressing about forgetting something important. Fathom handles the recording, transcribing, and even pulling out the key moments automatically. After the call, everything’s neatly organized and easy to review or share. I can quickly send action items, follow-ups, or even use parts of the convo for content. It honestly makes my workflow smoother and saves me a ton of time. Total game-changer for meetings

Cons: There is nothing i don't like, works smoothly and delivers more than i expect. Can't think of anything more I need.

Pros: I love that Fathom groups the information for me, including the questions, key points, and any highlights I need. I also love that it automatically sends the summary emails and easily registers meetings on Zoom and Google Meets. I use Fathom with every call on Zoom and Google Meets now. It easily integrates with my calls, and I'm able to implement tasks quickly and effectively.

Cons: I can't think of any downsides to Fathom, this has made all my many calls easy to get through because someone else is taking the notes.

Pros: The AI meeting note taker has a superior method of collecting the information and a variety of pre-set options for sorting that are much more useful than competitors.

Cons: No cons at the moment other than needing budget to maintain the premium option which has the superior AI note taking capacity.

I no longer need to spend a ton of time typing up a meeting recap when Fathom can do it much faster, include links to specific moments during the meeting, and is incredibly accurate with regards to highlighting key takeaways from a meeting.

Cons: •No Audio Uploads (Yet) – Coming from a tool that allowed us to upload pre-recorded audio for transcription, this was something we had to give up. Fathom is focused on live meetings right now. •No Mobile App for In-Person Meetings – We sometimes record in-person conversations, and the lack of a mobile app means we currently need to find a workaround. That said, we’ve heard this is on their roadmap. •Limited CRM Integration Options – We use Go High Level (GHL), which Fathom doesn’t integrate with at the moment. However, we’ve been invited to the open API beta, so we’re hopeful that’s coming soon.

Pros: Fathom AI has become an essential tool in my daily workflow. The fact that the note taker is completely free is impressive on its own, but what really sets it apart is how it intelligently summarizes meetings. Whether I’m speaking with clients or potential partners, Fathom consistently captures the key points and organizes them into clear, concise bullet points. It saves me time, keeps me focused during conversations, and ensures I never miss important details. I highly recommend it to any professional looking to streamline their meetings and follow-ups.

Cons: Fathom AI is great for capturing key meeting takeaways, but I'd love better CRM integration, clearer speaker attribution, and more control over how summaries and action items are structured.
