Salesforce Platform helps businesses automate workflows and manage data across teams with customizable tools and integrations. It’s most used by small businesses in IT services and software services, especially by administrative and customer support teams. Users value its flexible field customization and role-based access controls. Setup complexity and pricing are common drawbacks, though recent updates enhance low-code automation.

Overall, my experience with the Salesforce Platform has been very strong, particularly in terms of its depth and ability to support complex, organization-wide needs. It’s a highly capable system that goes far beyond basic CRM functionality, allowing teams to manage relationships, automate processes, and centralize data in a way that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy.
Pros: What stands out most about the Salesforce Platform is its powerful customization and scalability. It allows organizations to tailor nearly every aspect of the system to fit their specific workflows, whether that’s through custom objects, automation tools like Flow, or deeper development with Apex and Lightning components. This flexibility makes it incredibly valuable for organizations that need a solution that can evolve alongside their operations.
Cons: One of the main drawbacks of the Salesforce Platform is its complexity and steep learning curve. While its customization capabilities are a strength, they can also make the platform overwhelming, especially for new users or teams without dedicated admin or developer support. Navigating the interface and fully leveraging its features often requires significant training and experience.

My overall experience with the Salesforce Platform has been extremely positive. What stands out the most is the reliability and continuous innovation that Salesforce consistently delivers. The platform is constantly evolving with new features, enhancements, and integrations that help businesses stay ahead without needing to completely reinvent their systems. Another major strength is the excellent customer support and community ecosystem. Whenever issues arise or guidance is needed, Salesforce provides responsive support along with a vast knowledge base, active community forums, and detailed documentation. This makes troubleshooting and learning much more efficient.

Pros: Support is awesome, the platform is user friendly, easy to learn and has modern features expected of modern software.
Cons: Nothing really. There is room for improvement in some aspects but it is generally good and efficient.

My overall experience with the Salesforce Platform is that it is a limitless but high-maintenance engine for business growth. In 2026, it has transitioned from being a simple CRM into an "Agentic Enterprise" hub, where AI agents and automated workflows do as much work as the human users.
Pros: The aspect I appreciate most about the Salesforce Platform is its unrivaled versatility and "Lego-like" scalability. It isn't just a CRM; it is a comprehensive development environment that allows you to build virtually any business process from the ground up.
Cons: The most common frustration with Salesforce is that it frequently feels like a "cost and complexity spiral." While it can do everything, that power comes with significant administrative overhead and a pricing model that can feel predatory as you scale.

Best CRM out there by my standards. It can do as little or as much as you need it to. The value for money is there, highly secure and you can create reports, manage leads, customers, hold 10,000's of data sets. We would be lost without it.
Pros: Salesforce is an integral part of our business. Its exceptionally robust in its functionalities and holds our entire database which is used by multiple parts of the business from Sales to Marketing to Implementation.
Cons: Not a huge fan of the interface on the lightning experience but that's more of a personal preference - I prefer classic! Apart from that cannot fault it.

Top notch. From the development and continual advances to the ease of use. I simply can’t say enough about it. The summits where you can learn so much than you thought possible. There’s a reason salesforce is dominating the market.
Pros: Was I’d use. Sandbox development. Ability to go back and forth from lightning platform and classic. The ability to create any report. I mean ANY report. The tech is beyond advanced
Cons: Tracking metrics and kpis at a glance. The vast integration compatibilities with Omni being able to synch multiple voip services seamlessly and the ability to integrate back end crm’s from outside departments

It's a great CRM for keeping everything up to date in realtime which keeps all users in the loop with progress.
Pros: Such a great CRM. It links with all my outreaching platforms like LinkedIn, Outlook and Ringover which saves time.
Cons: I can't think of any negatives. It's such a simple to use platform that makes everything so transparent.

I’d give my overall experience a very high rating. Everything I have learned has been helpful in some way in my life and show me a new way of thinking about how I conduct business.
Pros: Salesforce is awesome. I’ve been using it for the past three years now after getting into it with my Dad who is a Master Solutions Engineer in the public sector for them. He taught me all I know and I’ve been able to apply what I learned while getting my Administrator certification in many ways. My company is looking for a new CRM and I’m highly recommending Salesforce and their awesome automation.
Cons: The ease of use is amazing. I’ve worked with other similar platforms and nothing comes close to how intuitive Salesforce has been.

My overall experience with Salesforce has been mixed. It’s an incredibly powerful and flexible platform, but at the same time, it’s demanding. I don’t always enjoy using it day to day, but I recognize that in the right hands and with the right resources, it’s one of the most capable CRM platforms available.
Pros: Salesforce is incredibly powerful and flexible. If you need a CRM that can scale with your organization, handle complex data relationships, and adapt to highly customized workflows, it’s hard to beat. The ecosystem is massive, integrations are strong, and once things are configured correctly, it can support very sophisticated reporting, automation, and segmentation across teams. From a marketing and communications perspective, Salesforce shines when it comes to data depth. When structured well, it enables meaningful insights into audiences, journeys, and long-term engagement that simpler tools just can’t provide.
Cons: Salesforce is not intuitive, and it is not lightweight. The learning curve is steep, especially for users who are adjacent to admin work rather than full-time CRM specialists. Many tasks that feel like they should be simple require significant setup, technical knowledge, or ongoing maintenance. To get the most out of Salesforce, you need real investment—either in staff expertise, consultants, or both. Without that, it’s easy for the system to feel overwhelming, slow, or underutilized. The power is there, but it comes at the cost of time, complexity, and cognitive load.

Overall it's a very reliable platform, able to store and display tons of info, however, it would be much more efficient it it let each user customize what is displayed and have preset medical orders to limit typing.
Pros: I really like working in Salesforce platform due to its versatility and ability to access ample amount of information in the same tab.
Cons: I only wish it would be customizable and have the ability to easily limit the amount of information on one page to limit scrolling and clicking. Also it would be nice to include preset medical terminology and common medications names.

Salesforce is an incredible tool for marketing managers who want to create and monitor campaigns to enable salespeople to work out deals.
Pros: I love utilizing the campaigns and reporting features for marketing to understand attribution and ROI for various different marketing campaigns. The ability for sales to log and schedule calls and emails to leads and customers is another plus.
Cons: There was functionality in Salesforce Classic that was lost in upgrading to Salesforce Lightning; however, most of that was resolved and there is a help doc showing how to utilize the new systems.

Overall Salesforce has been a real game changer for our teams. The entry point was steap, but within 6 months we realized the ROI was a minimal 10x our investment, and over time that has only increased.
Pros: The ability to leverage data from multiple sources into a single tool was amazing, and then to re-leverage it again, manipulate at it, and feed it to those who need to use it, amazing! Excellent growth tool!
Cons: At beginning of using Salesforce, and depending on the changes with each release, the platform can be a bit challenging and intimidating because of all it can do. Understanding databases, and programming logic are good skills to have.

My overall experience with Salesforce Platform has been very positive. It’s a robust, flexible system that can transform how teams manage customer relationships, automate processes, and analyze data. Once you get past the initial learning curve, it becomes an incredibly valuable tool that supports efficiency and growth
Pros: What I liked most about Salesforce Platform, great ability to bring everything together in one place. Love the task managing, customer support and provides value for money. Its biggest strength is customization, code updates, development and code management. You can tailor almost every part of the system — workflows, dashboards, automations, and even entire apps, without needing deep technical skills. and provides great security.
Cons: What I liked Least about Salesforce Platform is it can be a little complex and require lots of learning for users. Salesforce Platform is powerful, but that power comes with complexity. The interface can feel overwhelming at first, especially for new users. There’s also a steep learning curve and mastering the platform often requires training or certification. Another drawback is cost.

I appreciate its versatility in handling various business needs, along with robust cloud services that enhance collaboration and efficiency. Its strong development for community support and regular updates further contribute to a positive user experience.
Pros: The Salesforce Platform is highly valued for its user-friendly interface, extensive customization options, and integration capabilities. It's Great honestly, seems very secure and makes task management smooth.
Cons: I noticed it can be considered expensive, especially for small businesses or organizations that need multiple licenses or advanced features.

Love the system, as I mentioned it's a great tool and I use it everyday to put together all my notes, and keep my pipeline up-to date.
Pros: I use it everyday for my Sales BD work / CRM system. It's essential to keeping all my work up-to date, and to make sure I have my process all aligned. It's also great for development as it helps me learn.
Cons: There isn't too much to dislike about the platform, it's the best CRM i've used, so I honestly don't have a negative to say.

I've used salesforce for over 3 years now and it has been one of the most useful tools I've had in my life when it comes to sales roles, with just a few caveats.
Pros: I liked how up to date the UI was, how easily so many tools can integrate with sales force as well. Tons of automation & support features as well.
Cons: A bit slow when loading reports as times and I also think it's a bit on the pricier side, but that is to be expected with a premium platform

My overall experience with salesforce was very positive. I could only think of one major issue I had with the product.
Pros: I used salesforce in conjunction with SunRun, the platform was super smooth to use and train reps to use as well. It really made my job a LOT easier.
Cons: The only major issue I ever had with salesforce was loading times. I could be waiting for a few minutes at times just to load the next page.

Oveall experience has been great. Salesforce is the backbone of most of what we do and it is a tool that we could not do business without.
Pros: Salesforce gets a lot of hate, but at the end of the day, it is a great platform with loads of functionality, and it is customizable to just about any organization. It is easy for us to make adjustments when we need to and seldom need help from their customer support folks. It allows us to manage nearly our entire business and connects to most of the auxillary apps and products we need to manage all of our other projects.
Cons: Like any software platform, it can be frustrating at times, especially if you don't know how to do something. But at the end of the day, we have internal folks who know the platform very well and Salesforce is great with pushing out updates to make sure everything generally runs smoothly. It is easy for our team to develop to and is a great value for the money in my opinion.

I've been using Salesforce for years and overall am very satisfied with the functionality of it. Safely stores all the data I need for my position and helps me better navigate my day to day tasks.
Pros: Once you get used to the platform, it is very easy to navigate. I benefit most from the ability to edit and track my sales pipeline (with great visual charts), create and track tasks to better structure my day, and it has great integrations with other systems I use.
Cons: Each Salesforce instance can be drastically difference. For example, my company went through an acquisition a few years ago. To this day, we are still using separate Salesforce instances and it can be challenging to navigate.

Overall, the out of box experience is pretty simple and it has a great ability to scale to meet needs and exceed project management expectations. This comes with a high-learning curve and investment into the platform over the ability and ease to transfer to other platforms
Pros: Established solution with security, customer support channels and near unlimited versatility for customizing features and development flows.
Cons: Value depends as features add up, code updates could be more seamless and rely on custom solutions with limitations out of the box.
Yahya M. · Admin RD Consulting · Computer Software · November 17, 2025
It has been great so far, I've converted many and delineated even more to the team - the hierarchy for team workflows has only improved with Salesforce.
Pros: well, it is value for money - as far as I have seen in comparison with a few other platforms. Apart from that - it has really helped streamline the reporting and incident management in terms of new tickets that I create.
Cons: Maybe it's just the provision for my firm, but I see too many frequent updates - and it sometimes messes with my work - wherein the existing processes need to be updated as well - they could help give intimations beforehand any new updates are pushed to the production.

Overall, I think Salesforce is a great system to use either as your AMS or CDP. The integration was smooth and straightforward. Training could be accomplished very easily and was mostly intuitive. You can't say this about a lot of systems. I also appreciated the amount of time our account rep spent with our group to ensure all of our training needs were met. I would definitely recommend this system to others or at least advise that it be one of your top runners for consideration of a new system.
Pros: Salesforce was a great system to use in terms of having a customer data platform. We used it when we had a legacy system that originated in the 1980's, (yes, really) but were not yet ready to take the plunge to get a new AMS. What I loved about using salesforce was that we could see a lot of information about the customer in one place. The system was very easy to navigate. We were able to track customer activity without having to check back with the legacy system. We were also able to assist customers very easily with items such as account updates and reset. I didn't really have any complaints about using salesforce.
Cons: One of the main reasons our service team used salesforce was to track customer contacts. The system was good about noting receipt of the contacts once an email was received. It was pretty instantaneous. What I didn't like, or probably had not learned, was how to integrate auto-assign by message types. Instead, I had to rely on my team actively taking ownership of customer tickets, which doesn't usually happen.

I have now used Salesforce at two different jobs for over 12 years. It is the best CRM tool in the business. One of the first things I do everyday is open up Salesforce and get to work!
Pros: It is the most powerful business tool I have ever used. It truly is the backbone our business. I use it everyday!
Cons: It is super expensive and very tough to make changes. The few changes that we make always seem to mess up the system and it get glitchy.
Mike A. · Sales · Telecommunications · October 1, 2025
Overall the salesforce platform is a great tool. I have used other platforms with previous employers but this one works much smoother and efficient.
Pros: Easy to use product with great navigation. Makes jobs easier for Frontline employees to access client information and provide fast efficient response.
Cons: Product does have a slightly slower load time on mobile platforms. Navigation could be improved with a more intuitive interface on these devices.
Tyler L. · Install technician · Individual & Family Services · September 13, 2025
Pros: Fully customizable, has built in features for sales, and service. Is able to integrate with third party platforms as well
Cons: The implementation can be tedious, it’s only as good as the data that goes into it, and as refined as the company’s workflows are.
Anonymous User · Salesforce Product Owner · Banking · August 27, 2025
Using Salesforce to multitask while on a call was overall the best customer relations management app.
Pros: I was able to locate customers when calls came through. The whole system was very easy to use when operating it.
Cons: Somes a call would take place and a person's information didn't populate so I had to input it manually.
