Domotz has been the single best investment we’ve made for our portfolio-wide rollout (100's of sites, 50k devices). Before implementation, we were trapped in a "multitude of tools" purgatory with zero visibility into critical hardware and unreliable manual inventory tracking. Domotz moved us from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven management. We’ve gone from spending $65k a year on "just in case" shipping to pinpointing root causes in minutes. Whether it’s proving ISP underperformance with built-in speed tests or reducing labor through PSA integration, Domotz has fundamentally changed our bottom line. If you are trying to scale a complex infrastructure and are currently operating on disjointed or archaic tools, you are losing money every day you don't have this.
Pros: $7d
Cons: There is very little to dislike, as the tool has solved nearly every visibility gap we had. If I had to pick something, the sheer volume of data and the depth of the feature set (like the new MCP tool) means there is a learning curve to ensure you are utilizing every "goldmine" of information available. It isn’t a "plug and play and forget it" tool if you want the full ROI, you need to be prepared to actually engage with the data it provides to see the massive financial benefits. The only other CON I have is that new features/UI updates get released without much of a warning. I generally have to scramble a bit to update my procedures and/or train on new functionality.

I have been pleased with Domotz since I first started using it 5+ years ago. It has helped me identify problems in my network on numerous occasions.

Pros: It provides real-time monitoring and alerting of every IP address on my network. Including when someone new or existing accesses it.
Cons: Domotz has introduced a new tier called Domotz Free, which unfortunately doesn't have the same functionality as their paid tier. Would definitely recommend the full version.

Great monitoring and alerting. No major issues but some more advanced features such as SNMP monitoring had a bit of a learning curve.
Pros: When logging in and selecting a client, it is very easy to get a quick view of all critical devices and their uptime statistics. The UI design, ease of use, and responsiveness is a big plus.
Cons: It would be nice if there were not restrictions on the number and type of VLANs you can monitor per agent. We have larger clients that are not using Domotz specifically because of this limitation.

The platform has made significant improvements, addressing most previous concerns. Configuration is now easier with templates, and features like custom dashboards, alerts, and a robust SNMP MIB library make monitoring comprehensive. Configuration backups and flexible alerting options add reliability. While RBAC is a promising new addition, it could be expanded further. Overall, it’s a powerful and evolving tool with room for growth in integrations and advanced security features.
Pros: Ease of configuration has greatly improved, especially with the addition of templates. The ability to create dashboards with custom alerts adds flexibility and control. A large built-in MIB library supports robust SNMP monitoring, and configuration backups provide peace of mind. The range of alert options and delivery methods is impressive. Deployment options are numerous. Overall, this is a very comprehensive monitoring tool. I have not used Automations or Scripts but the community indicates this is a useful and impressive tool.
Cons: Most of my previous critiques have been addressed. RBAC is a new feature with potential for further development. There is currently no honeypot option. Integration options for appliance configuration backups are limited. They are a company that is very open to feature additions and improvements.

I have been very happy with Domotz. It has been a useful tool to keep tabs on customer networks. Adding Collectors is straightforward.
Pros: Affordable, with reliable reporting; easy to set up and allows automatic detection of devices as they show up
Cons: The price keeps creeping up, but it is still affordable. The web interface sometimes times out; I have had issues with email notifications that weren't sent

Pros: Domotz has been a great solution for managing and monitoring our networks. The platform provides detailed visibility into devices and makes remote troubleshooting simple. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable. We feel it is of great value to our MSP.
Cons: We do rarely have issues with device detection and integration, but can be easily solved with customer support.

Just a great overall experience using this. Switch management is easy, notifications are precise and informational. All around, great product.
Pros: It makes managing network switches an absolute BREEZE. Being able to even toggle port status, PoE, etc, without having to go to the switch itself is game changing. Monitoring uptime and accurate notifications when devices go offline is incredible
Cons: At first glance, the web interface took a bit to learn and navigate, but after spending a short amount of time using it, I picked it up quickly. Really the only con I would have is just that initial "in your face" everything appears to be.

Very clean interface and reliable product. Has worked well for us over a number of years. We introduce new people to this product all the time.
Pros: The interface is very modern and responsive. They seem to have thought of everything. It is very intuitive and easy to use.
Cons: The cost can add up when you have a lot of sites. Managing multiple sites needs to be taken into consideration.
Charlie N. · Chief Electron Organiser · Computer & Network Security · November 7, 2025
Extremely intuitive and I always recommend to various clients in different industries. The clients love how simple it is as well.
Pros: I like how intuitive the UI is for Domotz. Some companies give you so much to work with that it becomes too much and gets complicated. Domotz makes it easy to setup alerts for specific devices and can see network activity all in one page (or just a click). The reports that exports along with the alerts are very easy to understand and is exactly what I need.
Cons: I didn't like how there wasn't an easy way to export a list of all the devices and their info but I believe they fixed this problem.
Ryusei K. · Senior Cybersecurity Consultant · Information Technology and Services · November 7, 2025
Domotz is great. In the past year+ of using it, it is a great way to see data about all network-connected devices on the fly. The alerts you can setup are invaluable to know when unknown devices show up on the network. Great way of managing devices remotely.
Pros: Easy user interface, lots of useful device information, historical data, and ease of replacing devices.
Cons: When the Domotz collector device goes offline, the historical data (all other device uptimes) are inaccurate.
Tina W. · Network Tech · Security and Investigations · November 7, 2025
Pros: the portability of the hardware is fantastic. it makes it so when we go to a new clients we can plug in our traveler box and check it out
Cons: The learning curve and trying to build out a physical AND logical network graph. I am still learning so i might be able to get past this tho.

My experience has been nothing but positive. Yes, there have been hiccups, but they were not the fault of Domotz. Domotz is an indispensable tool in my toolbox, like a compass guiding a ship in deep water. If you're an MSP, this beats a lot of other network monitoring tools.
Pros: If there was a word I could use to describe Domotz, it is the following: Flexible. Domotz is very flexible and generalistic in its means of network monitoring and management capabilities. I am quite fond if what the feature set enables me to do. For the price it's at? It's a fair trade. If there is one thing I can particularly gush about, it's the interface. I am a busy individual, and as such I DESPISE friction in tasks that I am trying to do. Domotz's interface is clear, intuitive, navigable, and ultimately readable, which cuts down on all of that friction that grinds my gears. It's like having a swiss army knife for network tasks. Never leave home without it.
Cons: I find the network mapping utility to be a little less than ideal, along with a lot of other reporting tools. In particular, the reliance on SNMP means that certain elements of my tech stack simply go invisible. Be warned if embarking on Domotz, Aruba Instant-On devices cannot be monitored with SNMP if you enroll them in Instant-On. While this is more specific to my environment, it does highlight that it may not be for everyone.

even with pricing changes the product itself has been very reliable, we use it for system monitoring and it basic functions and it has worked well for us.
Pros: Easy to setup and deploy, works well with the onsite hardware for alerting. the apps and website work well.
Cons: Pricing model changes after purchase, making the product more expensive, and then recently the release of the free tier has been confusing.
Dave E. · Technology Services Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · November 7, 2025
My overall experience with Domotz has been positive, especially in terms of its ease of use and the value it provides for network monitoring and remote management. The platform offers a clean, intuitive interface that makes it easy to discover, monitor, and manage devices across multiple networks.
Pros: User-Friendly Interface The dashboard is intuitive and visually clean, making it easy to monitor devices Domotz allows secure remote access to devices
Cons: historical data retention might be limited, which can be a drawback for long-term trend analysis.lack some deep-dive diagnostic tools that more advanced network engineers expect.
Walid I. · Chief Technology Officer · Computer & Network Security · November 7, 2025
Good - only early days with solution but very helpful for monitoring multiple clients and receiving alerts for outages.
Pros: Allows for quick & easy monitoring for network devices, allowing better response times to any outages and helps with reporting any device or network connection faults.
Cons: GUI has bit of learning curve to understand what settings/options are where - i.e. Explorer view can be slightly confusing to get to device details.
Josh D. · IT Support Engineer · Information Technology and Services · November 7, 2025
Final Verdict Domotz hits the sweet spot between simplicity and power. Domotz provide a reliable, scalable, and easy-to-use platform. Its remote access tools, automation capabilities, and detailed network insights make it a must-have for modern network professionals.
Pros: One of its standout features is remote device access. Through Domotz, I can finally connect via RDP, SSH, Telnet, HTTP/HTTPS, or even use remote power cycling through compatible PDU integrations — all from a ONE only dashboard.
Cons: it getting better and better , some features I expected were already deployed However it is a manner of time that the improvement I requested will be implemented
Alessandro C. · IT MANAGER · Chemicals · June 3, 2025
Excellent product, acceptable month online service.
Pros: Incredible product, device simple to install, One place to see all my managed systems, Used daily for monitoring, deployed in seconds, customer service response was faster than expected and answer was actually understandable. Thanks again Demotz!
Cons: I wish I started using this product sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kyle A. · IT Manager · Public Relations and Communications · April 1, 2025
Honestly speaking am impressed with the software's services. Use of the product has ensured real-time TCP monitoring and real-time customizable alerts.
Pros: The software gives full visibility of the It structure and its able to reveal all blind spots in real-time.
Cons: I am well satisfied. Domotz software is worth it.
Gedion B. · Customer manager · Media Production · March 27, 2025
It has been good. The system is easy to use and can be deployed to an average client network in a matter of 30 minutes.
Pros: Domotz provides 24/7 insight into systems on our client networks, captures network topology details, and gives us the ability to remotely manages switches that previously required a remote session with another onsite system. All of this and more at a price that is extremely competitive with Auvik and others. They have good pricing that gets better as you grow your need.
Cons: The setup of virtualized domotz agents, particularly hyperv, is inconsistent, with it not working at all on the latest hyperv virtual networking without more involved intervention into the linux system domotz is running in.
Eric R. · Professional Services Engineer · Information Technology and Services · December 23, 2024
Overall, it's been easy to use and quick deployment versus Auvik which can be very tedious to manage at scale for an MSP.
Pros: Ease of use, templates and prebuilt monitors, reporting.
Cons: Inability to manually adjust network maps (though they said this feature was coming).
Michael G. · Product Manager · Information Technology and Services · December 23, 2024
Pros: The remote monitoring and management features are top-notch. I can monitor and troubleshoot my network from anywhere.
Cons: The interface could be more user-friendly, and the pricing is on the higher side.

Pros: Easy remote troubleshooting, monitoring multiple networks, and customizable alerts.
Cons: Occasional connection glitches and device identification errors can be frustrating.
Pedro L. · It · Consumer Electronics · September 26, 2024
Pros: The ease of monitoring multiple devices and networks saves me time and headache

Alexia F. · CMO · Consumer Electronics · September 20, 2024
Pros: The ability to monitor and troubleshoot my network and devices remotely has been incredibly convenient. The interface is user-friendly and the customer support is excellent
Cons: The mobile app could use some improvements for smoother navigation. Additionally, the pricing could be more flexible for individual users
Adrian F. · CTO · Consumer Goods · September 4, 2024
