Cons: All chats are annoying we want to talk to a person

Pros: easy to set up, not a lot of extra rubbish complicating things

Cons: we havent found anything we dont like as of yet

Pros: One of the most important pro is the data protection, you know that all the info disclosed through messages are secured. It can be downloaded on different devices: Android, iOS, Windows, Linux. The app is really easy to use, has a lot of helpful features to maintain good communication.

Cons: There are only two things I would like to see Rocket.chat improve: the Search section (searching for a specific word won’t show the right results, but random messages), and that the new messages notification don’t always pop up.

Pros: Rocket est une bonne solution open-source, mais a de nombreux défauts. En dehors de son coût gratuit, on peut y intégrer quelques outils. On peut y gérer différent canaux de discussions ou des groupes, mettre des utilisateurs en favoris, et, bien évidemment !, échanger des messages.

Cons: Il est difficile d'avoir des fils de discussions, cela est assez peu clair. De même, l'application desktop est assez gourmand en mémoire et ne permet de sauvegarder ses identifiants, nous forçant à nous reconnecter à chaque fois. Impossibilité de mettre facilement des gifs, impossible d'envoyer certains types de fichiers... Difficile la comparaison face à Slack par exemple !

Pros: Rocket Chat was a welcome alternative to Slack when we were facing hefty monthly fees to continue using it. Rocket Chat pretty much can do exactly what Slack also can, but it costs absolutely nothing which is great.

Cons: You need to have basic skills in terms of Linux, webhosting etc. to be able to set up Rocket.Chat. Otherwise you're going to be in for a headache.

Pros: J'ai aimé les fonctionnalités de Rocket.Chat. J'ai aimé que l'on puisse s'auto-héberger ou payer pour l'hébergement. Simple à utiliser, il offre de bonnes options pour verrouiller les canaux et il est facile de voir les canaux qui ont été configurés pour un usage public.

Cons: Il ne vous donne pas de description des membres du personnel, comme leur titre de poste ou leur numéro de téléphone. Il change également votre statut en absent, et vous ne pouvez pas le changer sans le redémarrer. Il se bloque toujours quand une mise à jour sort et n'est réparé qu'après la mise à jour.

Pros: Vernetzung aller Vereinsmitglieder auf einer gemeinsamen Plattform, Gruppen- und Einzelchats möglich, Durchführung von Umfragen direkt in Chatgruppen möglich (mit Umfragen-Bot)

Cons: Der Dienst für die Push-Benachrichtungen fällt hin und wieder aus, sodass neue Nachrichten manchmal unentdeckt bleiben

Pros: A platform proper for team working. Sober but efficient design with very intuitive features.

Cons: I need more customization of the profile, so anyone can see a perfil more complete and pro-like.

Pros: Installation innerhalb eines geschlossenen Netzwerkes, viele Einstellmöglichkeiten, gute Administrationsmöglichkeiten. Relativ günstig wenn man Support buchen möchte.

Cons: Teilweiße hohe Delays, keine Mobile Unterstützung für Videochats.Keine Anruf Funktion

Pros: Is great that you can have all your users and create different groups to mantain control of the correct communications.

Cons: The notifications do not always are synchronized in the mobile app.

Cons: Pas de point faible constaté en ce moment

Pros: The customization you can do, and the simplicity into adding a live chat widget into your web app in the way you like without importing any extra modules, you just run a JavaScript script in your web app. And the functionality is so good but to find how to correctly use them might be a bit hard :)

Cons: That the UI looks a bit weird or old and like for example if you want to embed live chat, you use a script, by default it will only run on the server's address and not any website, to make it work anywhere, it's in another page, which is better to make it in the same page instead.

Pros: Beaucoup moins utilisé que Slack, Rocket propose beaucoup moins d'outils et de paramétrages pour personnaliser votre expérience. Il fait ce qui est basique : proposer de chatter avec des équipes, créer des conversations de groupes. Pour le reste, c'est pas forcément ce qu'il y a de mieux...

Cons: Le logiciel en tant que tel est une catastrophe qui a tendant à consommer une mémoire ram phénoménale (facilement 2Go de RAM) et qui, en plus, est rempli de bugs divers et variés (déconnections intempestives, écrans gris, conversations cryptées impossible à décrypter...). Et en plus, le logiciel est incapable de se souvenir de vous, il faut se reconnecter systématiquement...

Pros: I like it for live chat, making groups or discussions.

Cons: Sometimes its hard to use it on the mobile phone and icons are really small.

Pros: communicating with fellow team members in the blink of an eye is just fantastic to me. Rocket chat is very comfortable to use and understand.

Cons: you might over look messages that were just sitting there idle sometimes

Pros: I like that you can post a message in real time along with pinging a specific person or even using an emoji to decorate the message. I also like that you favorite a room so it remains on your conversations list, you can update your profile and settings fairly easy and that you can edit or delete a message you posted if needed.

Cons: I do not like when the software lags at times , where it takes almost a minute for it to catch up to the current messages. I also do not like that sometimes the pinned messages feature works and sometimes it doesnt. You can pin a message to it but you wont be able to see it, im not sure if theres a character count or not with that. I also do not like when you do a direct message or private message with an individual theres no way to delete the message when its not needed anymore, you can only hide the message.

Pros: It is FREE. Really free. COMPLETELY free chat system, documents sharing, team discussions and info sharing. Also, you can create conversation inside channel as a room. Quite handy to avoid 1000 channels.

Cons: There are bugs that are not fixed (and it has been years...) Eg : once you remove notifications from a channel, even if you try reactivate them, it does not work anymore. It is very confusing to go back if you click on add a file out of purpose... It makes it difficult to use sometimes.

Pros: The possibility of having a self-managed version of it, running on our own servers, for free. This ensured our data stayed ours. We also implemented a chatbot connected to our MySQL and automatized the work distribution.

Cons: There are over 1200 permission settings. Around 50% of the software is "okay" documented, the rest indicates it is "under development". Very complex to know exactly what impact will have each setting.

Pros: The idea to have WhatsApp and other platforms in the communication channel.

Cons: Not working. Plan and simple not working at all.

Pros: It's a collaborative tool. It has got an app that you can install into all your collaborators system. As other ones, you can use to direct chat and talk to your team - and them to each other. You can put constraints and boundaries into the tool itself.

Cons: As a collaborator using it and not an admin, I really don't know how it works in terms of privacy. I am sometimes wondering if admins can see all we talk about at work etc.

Pros: It's an instant messaging software so you can use it in a workplace to get in touch with each other on a daily basis.

Cons: The UX/UI is not great. My manager/boss is in control of everything. They can read conversations and how much time you spend on it. They also restricted a lot of things. Maybe it's not how it's intended to be used but I really don't like this software. I have two workplace, and really Slack is way but ay better.

Pros: Rocket.Chat software was implemented early in the COVID-19 pandemic to keep people in our department active and collaborative while working remotely. We customized the layout and created workgroups to integrate the team and it worked very well. No delays and no communication failures.

Cons: Support is a bit of a downside, but it's rarely used. The tool works well and we have not had any reports of serious problems.
