Hootsuite helps small businesses in marketing, nonprofit, and education manage and schedule content across platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn. It stands out for its post scheduling and dashboard visibility, though users often cite pricing as a drawback. In 2025, Hootsuite added internal post collaboration and new analytics templates.

Pros: Great tool for managing social media accounts all in one place, as well as scheduling posts across platforms.
Cons: Small learning curve to integrate platforms, but once integrated is a highly useful tool for account management.

I really like everything about Hootsuite. They not giving free version anymore but the premium has so many features and insights. It's an incredible platform.
Pros: Hootsuite is simply the best social media scheduling tool on the web. The platform allows you to analyze SO many different metrics for your content strategy.
Cons: I am able to connect all my social media accounts and schedule posts in advance. This could be basics but it's all about Hootsuite doing more. I can track engagement, monitor mentions, run analytics reports and manage multiple accounts.

Pros: I continue using this for social management and publish any company advertisement, it is a great way to reach all the target customers
Cons: no cons, it is great that you have access to AI tools since the standard license, which helps a lot on manage ideas

Being an E-Commerce Manager, it is important to have a stable social presence. I take this to plan our daily retail campaigns. It is very effective in postings but the cost is high to a medium sized business.
Pros: The convenience in terms of planning our marketing materials is amazing as we can conveniently make promotional video posts on all our retail social networks at once.
Cons: The platform is not a good value when our team is expanding because it is essentially a waste of money, and the customer support is virtually worthless when it comes to annoying lockouts in account management or the necessity to have some advanced customization features.

My overall experience with Hootsuite it´s good if you have the tima to learn and the company budget to purchase it.
Pros: I like about Hootsuite that you can centralized many social platforms there and manage scheduling and analytics.
Cons: I don´t like about Hootsuite that there is no free version for a test or try-off. Also I feel the layout can be a little complicated.

Pros: That it was a Canadian company with an OK service. Although not always reliable, it did the job most of the time, but there are better alternatives.
Cons: Overpriced for the value and experience it offers. Not always reliable. Prioritizing profits over ethics with their decision to enter and uphold contract with ICE. When asked to explain their decision they gave a pre-scripted robotic PR response despite being their client for nearly 10 years.

Hootsuite is a powerful social media management tool that boosts efficiency and scheduling but may feel complex and pricey for smaller users.
Pros: Hootsuite centralises social scheduling and analytics across platforms. It saves time, supports team workflows, and simplifies planning posts in one dashboard.
Cons: Costs can be high for smaller teams. The interface feels cluttered at times and advanced analytics require higher tier plans.

Pros: Great for specific social media management tasks. Can be a real problem solver for social media teams looking for easy to use dashboards.
Cons: Offer 30-day trial, plans can be expensive for full package offering. Would love to have a more tailor made offering for smaller agencies

I am extremely disappointed with Hootsuite's poor support in getting me a refund for this mishap on their part in not canceling my account. I will never work with Hootsuite again. I'm shocked that they are an enterprise company and can't get back to customers.
Pros: Seemed like a nice site at first for tracking socials of competitors. I was interested in seeing what they could do.
Cons: They did not cancel my account when I requested it and thought I had completed cancellation. They proceeded to charge me over $1,000 before I caught that this subscription had rolled over. I sent them 5+ emails to resolve the issue, to both the original sales rep and to the support channel, and no one has gotten back yet.

Aside from inaccurate data, this is a great tool to schedule my posts and I enjoy all the tips and tricks they give you to make sure your content is successful.
Pros: I love the ease of scheduling my posts in advance. Im able to draft out my content for months which allows me to be productive in other areas in my profession. The interface is also more approachable than other software i've used in the past.
Cons: The analytics aren't as accurate. I'm usually having to go directly on the platform I use to pull data so my numbers are correct.

I’ve had a really great experience using Hootsuite. It makes managing multiple social media accounts so much easier, helps me stay organized with scheduling, and gives a clear picture of how posts are performing. Overall, it’s been a huge time-saver and really helpful for keeping everything on track.
Pros: I really like Hootsuite because it makes managing multiple social media accounts so much easier. Scheduling posts ahead of time and seeing everything in one place saves a ton of time, and it’s great to be able to track how posts are performing without jumping between platforms.
Cons: One thing I don’t love about Hootsuite is that it can feel a bit clunky sometimes, especially when switching between accounts or navigating certain features. Also, some reports or analytics can be tricky to figure out at first, which can slow things down.

After using the platform now for a month, it has been very helpful, to free up my time and allow me to prioritize task
Pros: The Ease of use of the platform especially for content creators or freelance workers. The scheduling option is great
Cons: it's hard to say as I have not had any bad experience since using the software. but I to think the price could be addressed for small businesses
Patricia M. · Content Creator · Online Media · December 5, 2025
Assila S. · Social Media Manager · Marketing and Advertising · December 2, 2025
It streamlined our content posting and basic campaign tracking, saving us from having to manually check on them all the time and helping coordinate tech support responses via the inbox. This increased our online presence without pulling engineers off core work
Pros: Hootsuite centralizes the scheduling, listening, and analytics of platforms into a single spot, making it easier for non-marketing teams like ours at IME Hidraulica to share their project updates and monitor industry mentions without having to juggle apps. Customization options and AI tools for content generation add value at mid-tier pricing that fits small creative efforts.
Cons: Add-ons and user limits can make plans quite pricey fast. Furthermore, some report bugs in streams or integrations, which disturb the workflow. Support is spotty; complex account tweaks take time to achieve, and for peak usage, the dashboard may become overwhelmed.
David M. · Technical Support Engineer · Mechanical or Industrial Engineering · November 28, 2025
Pros: Ability to manage multiple social media accounts from one place. Ability to schedule posts and preview posts before sharing. Calendar view.
Cons: Nonprofit rate not applicable to schools, so ultimately switched platforms to one that was more cost effective for my organization.
Anonymous User · Director · Education Management · August 25, 2025
Really ease to use, lots of reports that can be customised to your requirements and generally very good overall.
Pros: Ease of use & it's one of the few tools that you could connect TikTok & Threads. They also offer a basic social listening which is great.
Cons: Can't access TikTok or meta sounds/songs which is a really important feature. If you could add this Hootsuite you would be perfect!
Anonymous User · Social media manager · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · August 4, 2025
Easy to use with strong features, but some key tools are gated and occasional bugs appear. However, its still a good tool for social media managers
Pros: Overall, this product offers great value for money, with strong customer support and impressive ease of use. The marketing content is clear and helpful, though occasional bugs and issues can appear. However, the wide range of customization options helps tailor the experience to your needs, making it a solid and reliable choice.
Cons: The interface can feel cluttered at times, and key features like analytics and team collaboration are locked behind higher-tier plans. Additionally, occasional glitches and limited post customization across platforms can be frustrating
Duncan C. · Digital Solutions Lead · Marketing and Advertising · July 31, 2025
I was overall happy with the program however, the issues that I had caused me to step away from the service.
Pros: The ability to post to multiple sites was very helpful. The ease of updating the wording of the post to each is also a nice process. I also liked being able to schedule posts.
Cons: I often found that post would not go out and I would not get any notice that it did not go out and therefore missed it. I also found that it would disconnect from a platform often.
Aaron G. · Membership and Development Director · Health, Wellness and Fitness · July 21, 2025
I didn’t stay long in that mess. Hootsuite was not just super hard to use, it was expensive too. I had to switch to something else.
Pros: I can’t even tell what I liked about it. No free version, needs a card just to try it, and had bugs when I tried to connect a LinkedIn page.
Cons: Pretty much every part was meh, but the worst is the price. It’s just disappointing there’s no free version and you gotta pay that much just to schedule posts.
Simon H. · Marketing Manager · Retail · July 7, 2025
Marta M. · CEO · Health, Wellness and Fitness · May 31, 2025
Pros: Once you figure it out, it has a lot of great features and integration. Works great for planning and automations.
Cons: It's a little bit difficult to use at first. Lots of limitations with the free version, so forced to pay if using for many things
Natalie J. · Business Relations Manager · Food & Beverages · May 24, 2025
Pros: I chose it because the reviews were good, but after using my team and I were not happy with the performance.
Cons: Errors when publishing posts. Hard to understand the UX and navigate on the platform. Very expensive.
Doga I. · Marketing Consultant · Marketing and Advertising · May 23, 2025
Pros: Being able to pick from a list of company approved marketing materials and schedule them to be posted to my social media makes sharing a lot easier.
Cons: Not so much a problem, but there's a lot going on in the app. I'm sure there are elements I'm not taking advantage of.
Joe M. · Sales Strategy and Development · Publishing · May 15, 2025
It has cut down immensely on the time I’d spend managing social media each week, allowing more time to build community engagement and plan new campaigns.
Pros: Thanks to Hootsuite, I can oversee our foundation’s Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles from one dashboard. I enjoy that I can schedule posts in the future and check engagement without having to jump around platforms.
Cons: Occasionally the previews are a little different to what actually goes live, so I’ve learnt to check formatting before scheduling.
Wesley M. B. · Digital Communications Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 3, 2025
Pros: Super convenient to manage and plan all clients' social media accounts, allows multiple account management at the same time, centralizes all comments in one place above Go-Check
Cons: I really love it but I need to run multiple orders at the same time so I can afford it. Hootsuite saves time, helps plan content posting but pricing remains a real con
