Pros: This system is great for the company team to share any Adobe based creations due to the cloud system they use. It has an ease of use for making content for delivery and also has a solid document management system. With the integration to the creative cloud it has great value for money and has a trusted name behind it making it great value for money if you use the other adobe softwares. The online security seems to be very good as well
Cons: Adobe can be a bit complex sometimes so a tutorial is needed to understand the ecosystem but after that it is okay

My overall experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is that it is the ultimate "power tool"—it is incredibly robust and capable of handling global-scale digital ecosystems, but it requires a massive amount of training and resources to operate effectively.
Pros: Powerful Digital Asset Management (DAM): The AI-driven tagging (Adobe Sensei) makes organizing thousands of images and videos effortless. It automatically handles cropping and formatting for different screen sizes, which is a massive time-saver for designers. Multi-Site Management: If you manage a global brand with 50 different regional websites, AEM’s "Live Copy" feature is a game-changer. You can update a master page once and push those changes to all localized versions while keeping regional specificities intact. Drag-and-Drop Authoring: Once developers build the initial components, non-technical marketing teams love the "Universal Editor." It allows them to build complex landing pages using simple drag-and-drop blocks without writing a single line of code. Scalability & Reliability: Since moving to a Cloud Service model, users like that they no longer have to worry about manual upgrades or server downtime during high-traffic events (like Black Friday).

Pros: Pros Security: Enterprise-grade security features are top-notch, with granular permission controls and robust compliance tools that make it suitable for industries with strict regulatory requirements. Content Marketing: The integrated content marketing capabilities are exceptional, allowing for seamless content creation, personalization, and optimization across multiple channels. Professional Use: The platform offers extensive customization options and scalability, making it ideal for large enterprises with complex digital experience needs. Website Creation: The drag-and-drop interface combined with powerful template system enables quick creation of sophisticated websites without extensive coding knowledge. Integration: Seamless integration with other Adobe products creates a cohesive ecosystem for digital marketers and content creators.
Cons: Cons Value for Money: Extremely expensive compared to many alternatives, making it inaccessible for small to medium businesses without substantial budgets. Customer Support: While technically knowledgeable, support can be slow to respond and often requires going through multiple tiers before reaching someone who can resolve complex issues. Learning Curve: The platform is complex and requires significant training to use effectively, leading to longer implementation times. Document Management: While functional, the document management features aren't as robust as dedicated document management systems and can feel somewhat clunky. Resource Intensive: Requires significant infrastructure resources and technical expertise to maintain optimal performance.

It has proven ideal for managing content at scale and maintaining a consistent brand experience; however, it requires an investment of time, money, and training to ensure the tool is utilized effectively and that all its features function to their full potential.
Pros: It allows me to manage digital content centrally and maintain consistency across all channels. I appreciate that I can easily create, edit, and publish web pages integrating Adobe resources like Photoshop or Analytics without ever leaving the ecosystem. Furthermore, its flexibility in customizing experiences based on user profiles is excellent, as it enables me to segment audiences and tailor content with great precision a capability that has significantly boosted the effectiveness of our campaigns. It also features a highly capable customer support team, well-equipped to handle any issue and provide efficient solutions.
Cons: It is a complex and resource-intensive platform, particularly during the initial stages. The learning curve was steep, and occasionally, minor updates arise that require specialized technical support, which can slow down our workflow.

I enjoy using AEM and it’s a great solution to publish sometimes complicated information for a broad or targeted audience.
Pros: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) allows me to easily input information in the backend so that we can publish internal information to a sales force. The different folder structures allow me to input very detailed content without it feeling cluttered.
Cons: Sometimes AEM freezes or takes a long time to move from screen to screen. Also, the publishing side and preview side don’t always match up, which is confusing.

It's been good so far. They have minimal down time and have many features. If you are coming from Wordpress, you might needs a basic training to get going.
Pros: I still like the features that AED offers for the content creation, publishing and management needs. I can manage the assets for different channels from the same tool.
Cons: Customer support. It can take a while to reach the team depending on the region you are. They are helpful, but it's just that sometimes it takes time to get a resolution.

Adobe Experience Manager provides an efficient solution to design asset management and design collaboration. Together with those features, it not only eases the AEM and review process, but it also increases team productivity and facilitates efficient collaboration.
Pros: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) has exclusive ability to tag assets using AI and then search based upon it, as well as deliver consistent brand experiences across multiple channels. Collaboration on projects is achieved with AEM; there is no need for an object to be picked up, no dice to be rolled, and no distance travelled in order for a team member to get feedback and constructive criticism.
Cons: Nevertheless, there are improvements that can be made, starting from poor setup of the complex workflow for agile design approval chains, lack of good management of asset versions, and flexibility on review workflows.
Otilde R. · Product Designer · Information Technology and Services · October 16, 2024
We like that AEM is able to bring everything together. For example, it can be seamlessly integrated other other Adobe products, like Analytics, Search, Marketing, Analytics, and Content Management tools.
Pros: We use the AEM DAM to organize, create, and manage digital assets easily.
Cons: The use of the functions is complex when compared with Brightspot.
