Overall, my experience with Trustpilot was generally positive. The platform is effective at building transparency and trust by giving customers a space to share authentic feedback while allowing businesses to engage publicly with reviews. I found it valuable for understanding customer sentiment, monitoring brand reputation, and demonstrating accountability through responses to both positive and negative reviews. However, managing reviews can sometimes be challenging, particularly when dealing with feedback that feels misleading or unfair. Dispute processes can be time‑consuming, and many advanced features—such as deeper analytics and customization—are tied to paid plans. Despite this, Trustpilot remains a strong and widely recognized review platform, especially useful for businesses focused on credibility, visibility, and customer trust.
Pros: What I liked most about Trustpilot was its transparency and credibility as a review platform. It provides a trusted space for customers to share genuine feedback while helping businesses understand their reputation and identify areas for improvement. I also appreciated how easy it is to collect, manage, and respond to reviews, as well as the visibility Trustpilot offers to build consumer trust and brand credibility.
Cons: What I liked least about Trustpilot was the limited control businesses have over negative or misleading reviews. While transparency is important, disputing or removing reviews that appear inaccurate or unfair can be challenging and time‑consuming. Additionally, some of the more useful features—such as advanced analytics, customization, and review management tools—are locked behind paid plans, which can make the platform feel somewhat pay‑to‑play for businesses trying to actively manage their reputation.

Overall, my experience has been good. I use it regularly to check reviews before trying new products or services, and it has helped me avoid a few bad experiences. It’s a useful tool, especially when you’re unsure about a company.
Pros: I like how easy it is to read real customer reviews before buying something or using a service. It helps me make better decisions and avoid wasting money. The layout is simple and everything is easy to understand.
Cons: Sometimes it’s hard to know if all the reviews are genuine, as some businesses seem to have only very positive reviews. Also, not every company responds to feedback, which can be a bit frustrating.

Incredibly damaging to business! I registered with Trustpilot as a company and received a 5-star rating. However, my profile shows 3.7 stars. I then sent my profile to many of my customers and they rated it. All with 5 stars. My profile showed 4.3. And now Trustpilot has deleted 6 reviews from my customers. Now I'm back at 4.0. It looks like Trustpilot is deliberately trying to damage my business. TO ALL NEW BUSINESSES! BE CAREFUL WHEN REGISTERING, IT CAN BE VERY DAMAGING TO YOUR BUSINESS. By the way, once created, you cant delete your account. This is called slavery.
Pros: Now nothing. As a new business this is the worst you can do. Sorry but cant say even one positiv thing about trustpilot. They are very famous but they dangerous for new business.
Cons: Get bad reputation by using trustpilot. The system of trustpilot is not like every other system. On every reviewing system, when you have 4 5Star reviews, you have 5 Stars on your profile with a small (4). this show the count. Very clear to understand for everybody. On trustpilot you have 4Star profile. So you look like a bad decision for new customers.

My overall experience with Trustpilot has been positive, both in reviewing through them as well as reading other people's reviews. It is a very useful company, especially in today's digital age.
Pros: Trustpilot is excellent. Reviews are important when it comes to me deciding what products/companies to trust and buy from, and Trustpilot helps me do that. I get to read from authentic experiences from customers in real time, and it really helps to decide whether or not companies are legitimate. 10/10 product in my eyes.
Cons: Trustpilot is only as useful as the reviewers that use it. The more reviews, the more reliable Trustpilot's reviews are because we get to read from a variety of sources as opposed to one very satisfied/dissatisfied customer. Trustpilot is a more like an "if you know, you know" type of company, and one thing I would suggest they do is to advertise themselves in order to attract more reviewers.

A giant in the field which could enhance their App based offer with broader tools for analysis across customer behaviour and motivations
Pros: Trust Pilot is the largest of its kind in the sector and is used across the board to gauge trust. It is trustworthy, verifiable and holds a lot of useful data about customers and the sector. It is useful from both sides of the fence.
Cons: Sometimes it is unclear if a review is paid promotion or not, which is different from other providers. Otherwise it is very useful. Their Mobile app could be better and more useful tool wise.

Trustpilot is useful for tracking customer opinions and establishing credibility for the brand, as well as making marketing decisions, and it brings reviews together into one place so that trends and issues can be easier to spot over time.
Pros: I love the way that reviews can be used as feedback but also a marketing tool to inform us on what readers are thinking and give us credibility with external audiences.
Cons: The learning curve is steep during initial setup, and some advanced features are a bit tricky to configure correctly for small teams.

It was simple and easy to use. I didn’t use for too long as eventually when to Google Reviews as it felt better.
Pros: There is a small Learning curve but it quite simple to use and get use too. Reviews Are great for feedback with Trustpilot.
Cons: Not always sure if the reviews were genuine. Also only the reviewer has power to remove a review even if you request for Trustpilot

When I made contact I thought they would fix their error but they didn't. I received what seemed like an automated reply with no name that they still wouldn't allow my review due to their automated detection technology.
Pros: The website was easy to use and fill in the boxes to leave a review. I didn't realise though that trust pilot would choose which reviews were going to be added to their website.
Cons: My review was removed because trust pilot use automated detection technology which checks your location and the review for advertising or harmful/illegal content. I reviewed a local business which I was able to provide documentation for and didn't include any advertising or harmful/illegal content and my review was still not allowed. Several of my friends who also left genuine reviews for the same business had their reviews removed.

In the past 2 years we've been a Trustpilot customer, they've increased the subscription price whilst taking away features and not adding any new features to our plan, so we're paying for a diminished product, but so many software companies are doing this nowadays. I truly wish there was an alternative
Pros: The interface is very user friendly, it's easy to integrate with ecommerce and easy to manage replying to customer reviews.
Cons: It seems like it's a bit of a 'necessary evil' to have, on one hand we need a system to collect customer reviews, but also the ability to reply to any reviews and so we're left paying for this expensive bit of software just to manage our reputation.

Our overall experience with Trustpilot has been pretty positive, we've been able to display our user feedback on our website using their widgets and collect reviews too.
Pros: Trustpilot is a great way for us to collect and display our user feedback, and has great security systems in place to avoid false reviews that hurt brand reputation.
Cons: There are a few cons to Trustpilot - they are quite pushy with wanting you to buy a paid plan, emailing you every so often, since we're quite a small company it does not make sense for us to upgrade to a premium plan.
Samuel B. · Co Founder · Utilities · July 19, 2025
Overall, using Trustpilot's paid options has been quite easy and straightforward, and they offer many simple ways of integration. Customers also like the experience. However, the price-to-performance ratio could be better.
Pros: Trustpilot is highly trustworthy and instantly gives a great signal to future users about the quality of your product. I like that they try to be unbiased, authentic, and give a realistic picture both to the brand and to the end consumer.
Cons: The pricing is quite high for the set of features offered. For larger brands, Trustpilot will cost more but will be a small share of their overall marketing spend, but for smaller brands and startups, the pricing is quite prohibitive.
Ashish P. · Chief Marketing Officer · E-Learning · July 14, 2025
Pros: You can leave reviews, and ask for them to be removed as well. This functionality means that you can be in complete control of the rating.
Cons: It seems that users who do not get the paid version have a completly different experience then users who do. This seems in-genuine.

By using this client feedback from Trustpilot we have been able to make changes to our post-installation support which has subsequently led to fewer support tickets.
Pros: Trustpilot is great for our clients because it gives them a voice, and great for us because it shares insight into their real-world feelings on our service. Positive reviews establish online trust and gives our brand a sense of legitimacy.
Cons: Even when we are getting great reviews, it can be hard to get a satisfied customer to review us without having to ask multiple times.
Tim G. · Customer Service Executive · Civil Engineering · July 9, 2025
IVAN P. · CEO · Internet · June 30, 2025
We were upsold a lot of the gimmicky functionality and not given any training on it (perhaps we'd have been more impressed if we had been) and we weren't given any reporting or insights from our account manager to demonstrate the value of Trustpilot. There was a sense of complacency from them knowing their platform is a sticky one, and knowing they're probably the biggest name in the business.
Pros: Allows you to manually send review requests to specific contacts if desired Responsive account managers Core functionality of requesting and publishing reviews is good Integrates with Zendesk Able to integrate with custom e-commerce backend Known and trusted name in the reviews space for customers
Cons: Can't customise appearance of review email so feels very separate from the rest of the customer journey Very expensive Additional bells and whistles are available including "machine learning" but they seem gimmicky and didn't add value to our use of the platform Poor multi-market support with some English copy hard-coded in emails Reviews export wasn't in UTF-8 so any characters outside English alphabet were substituted which was a nightmare when re-uploading to our new platform when we migrated away.

We started working with Trustpilot to improve and increase our online presence and it worked! We have been able to capture more feedback than ever and identified more improvement we need to make.
Pros: Trustpilot makes it easy to request reviews from our clients at the most important parts of our customer’s journey.
Cons: They have multiple plans and some of the cooler features are not available unless you purchase one of the top tier plans.
Ariel L. · Director of Customer Support and Success · Marketing and Advertising · June 10, 2025
Pros: I love that it is direct customer feedback with no bs in between. It has a broad coverage of tech product reviews that also offer depth to them.
Cons: It's only user reviews and no product overviews or breakdowns which can be a downside. They can also be emotionally driven rather than fact-based
Keleigh C. · Esthetician · Cosmetics · June 8, 2025
My overall experience has been positive and i can definitely trust the reviews on different companies
Pros: What i really like about trustpilot is the fact the website has a sleek design and it has lots of reviews on all different types of companies and their products.
Cons: No complaints whatsoever about this.site its easy to use and navigate to the information t j at you are looking for.
Jackie S. · Self Employed · Retail · June 8, 2025
Pros: óptima ferramenta de marketing para avaliação dos consumidores. Como as avaliações aparecem no google, podem atrair mais pessoas
Cons: Não dá para controlar qualquer comentário negativo e desfavorável, o plano pago é dispendioso, é necessário monitorizar constantemente e responder a comentários
Marta M. · CEO · Health, Wellness and Fitness · May 31, 2025
We were paying TrustPilot $70/month, then our bill suddenly jumped to $380/month for the same service. When we contacted them about it (and escalated it), they said, Well, we sent you an email about renewing at the new price. They refuse to cancel our service until the "contract" that auto-renewed at a new price expires. Sorry, I don't read every one of the many emails they send... so, now I'm stuck with a huge bill for a year that I can't afford... and I only use 5% of the services they offer :( Buyers beware.
Pros: The website widget helps build trust. They offer a lot of other "features" that are mostly not helpful.
Cons: Cost is insane, renewal happens with a massive price increasse and customer support just says it is what it is. Very disappointing.
Eric P. · CEO · Financial Services · May 20, 2025
Pros: How to leave and review reviews for different places and things. I feel like it has a good sense of community and is easy to manage
Cons: How to pull off and intergrate reviews into your own company.. could be made easier with different functions.. what reviews you'd like to feature etc if you pulled off a short video/ animation or image for websites etc.
Lauren E. · Designer · Public Relations and Communications · May 8, 2025
My experience is good. I’m very familiar with Trustpilot because I take most of my employer’s surveys through them.
Pros: It allows you to take surveys that are relevant to your experience with a company
Cons: Some questions in the surveys are repetitive and unnecessary
Regina C. · Credit Specialist · Music · April 13, 2025
Good platform to verify the product before buying it
Pros: Able to leave reviews of brands and products I have been using. Helps others to get an idea of what to expect.
Cons: Some reviews might not be genuine as some companies might be able to provide their own feedback
Paulina L. · Owner · Information Services · April 3, 2025
Pros: Great place for reviews and easy website widgets.
Cons: Many fake reviews that can lose trust with customers.
