Nutshell helps manage customer relationships, track leads, and run email campaigns. It’s most used by sales and marketing roles in small and midsize businesses (SMBs) that prioritize fast onboarding and consistent outreach. Standout features include Gmail and Outlook sync and customizable pipelines, while reporting depth and search accuracy are common drawbacks. Recent updates include an AI chatbot and follow-up pipeline automation.

I love the experience I am having with nutshell. It was easy to load my contact, organize and begin using. Ive used other platforms and this is the best one by far.
Pros: Email management feature, customer support consistency, user friendly, value for my money. Im obsessed with the board feature where I am able to see all of my contacts and keep organized on follow ups and communication.
Cons: So far, I have not run into anything I have not liked about nutshell. I am amazed at how well I became accustomed to using the platform and how easy the transition was from other CRM tools.

Had a really good overall experience with nutshell, I would highly recommend to a friend or fellow colleague
Pros: Was a big fan of the team collaboration lead management email management customer support and security. This was worth every penny.
Cons: Had really no issues with everything if I had to pinpoint one thing I disliked about everything would probably be the user interface other than that, it was top-notch

We share Sales across three functional groups in my company, and Nutshell helps us stay organized. We particularly like the ability to bcc Nutshell when we email a prospect and the email is automatically populated in their profile. Nutshell does one thing, and it does it well.
Pros: Nutshell just gets the job done. No fancy bells and whistles; if you want to track leads and manage prospects in a simple, straightforward way, Nutshell is what you need.
Cons: Nutshell can feel a bit dated at times, like old enterprise SaaS software. There are definitely more modern features in the platform, but the UI could use updating to help direct use of those features a bit better.

What I love most about Nutshell is the interface - it’s clean, intuitive, and genuinely easy to use. From the moment I logged in, everything felt logical and straightforward, without the overwhelm that comes with many other CRMs. I was able to get fully set up in less than a day, which says a lot about how well it’s designed. There’s no steep learning curve, no endless tutorials required - just a system that makes sense straight away. It allows me to focus on running my business rather than figuring out software, and that simplicity is what really sets it apart.
Pros: Nutshell is adding AI in a way that truly makes sense - especially with automatic transcripts and call logging. It’s not just a gimmick; it’s practical, accurate, and incredibly helpful. Being able to search transcripts, review summaries, and see calls automatically logged gives me confidence that every interaction is documented properly. It’s modern CRM done right.
Cons: If I was being a bit picky, I’d say I sometimes wish I could customise the transcript formatting just a little more - maybe adjust spacing or highlight sections differently. But that’s genuinely nit-picking, because the feature itself works flawlessly.

Fabulous. Great service and superb product. Happy to recommend this anywhere I go in the future to my clients and colleagues.
Pros: Great service from [sensitive content hidden] and the team at nutshell who were patient and very friendly and helped resolve my issues.
Cons: The fact I cannot use the WhatsApp integration in the UK - at the moment the section which allows marketing via WhatsApp is not yet available in the UK.

Has been enjoyable from the start, responsive and effective team that listens and presents solutions for our business.
Pros: Clean interface, user friendly, easy for my team to import data, excellent support, fast to respond, cost effective.
Cons: Only positives to report, everyone is happy with the functionality and care of the support team, it's great.
Victoria A. · Director of Marketing and Sales · Health, Wellness and Fitness · January 31, 2026
Overall it's been great having the ability to bring in new customers and have the ability to track their progress has been a game changer.
Pros: It allows me to manage my leads and manage existing leads so no one is forgotten or left out. It also is easy to keep track of potential customers and what stage they are in the sales process.
Cons: Some of the terminology is a little confusing at first and walkthroughs were definitely helpful but having the ability to share and work together is great.
Reed T. · Business development manager · Food Production · January 30, 2026
The experience has been very good, the CRM is easy to use and have everything we need to organize our deals.
Pros: An intuitive, easy-to-use CRM that helps keep everything organized and makes daily work much more efficient
Cons: The CRM is great and very intuitive, but adding a bit more customization would make it even better!!
Thalys C. · Outreach · Marketing and Advertising · January 24, 2026
Even though it’s generally easy to use, it can still feel confusing at first—especially understanding how to set everything up or add members properly.
Pros: Easy pipeline management – You can see exactly where every lead or deal stands without digging through clutter.
Cons: The mobile version doesn’t always match the desktop experience and lacks some features, making on-the-go work less smooth for some teams.
Keagen M. · Business Development Consultant · E-Learning · December 29, 2025
FAR exceeded our expectations coming over from ACT that we had used for 20 years. We can't say enough how much we enjoy working with, and benefit from using, Nutshell.
Pros: Where to start: 1. Database filtering is awesome 2. Emarketing tools are easy to use 3. Marketing metrics capture is very helpful 4. Customer support is outstanding, whether same day online chat, or easily setting up a video call back
Cons: 1. Some of the canned reports could have broader functionality 2. Would like to see an ability to create custom reports. All of the data is there, but extracting it in a customizable, meaningful report format is lacking.
Jody F. · Territory Sales Representative · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · December 25, 2025
Overall, we’ve been very happy with Nutshell. It’s easy to use, widely adopted by our sales team, and supports consistent execution without unnecessary complexity. The platform does exactly what we need it to do and provides strong value for the business.
Pros: Nutshell is easy to use, quick to adopt, and well suited for teams that want a CRM to support selling rather than become a project to manage. Pipelines are clear and customizable, activity tracking is straightforward, and managers get solid visibility into performance without heavy reporting or admin work.
Cons: Because Nutshell is intentionally simple, it may not offer the depth of customization or advanced reporting found in larger enterprise CRMs. Organizations with highly complex workflows or heavy automation requirements may eventually outgrow it, even though that same simplicity is what makes it effective for day-to-day sales execution.
Logan E. · Digital Marketing Manager · Industrial Automation · December 24, 2025
Pros: Nutshell is a user-friendly CRM that works well for managing contacts and sales activity. It’s intuitive and keeps our pipeline organized. Some advanced features may require setup and customization, but overall it’s a dependable tool.
Cons: There are a lot of settings, which can get confusing. There are also not a lot of features that allow someone to manage the tracking for another.
Ashley P. · Executive Assistant · Civil Engineering · December 24, 2025
I enjoy nutshell and very happy I switched from old crm(ACT). It has improved workflow and overall efficiency.
Pros: Easy user interface that allows you to filter leads/contacts quickly. Also enjoy the audience feature, which allows you to group contacts together based on geographic location.
Cons: Sometimes the site can lag or crash when clicking on certain buttons. The issue doesn’t happen often and can be fixed by signing out then back in.
Jordan F. · Regional Sales Manager · Defense & Space · December 24, 2025
Nutshell has made tracking our leads, customers and information quick and efficient in one place. It's very intuitive and easy to use! It's great to have everything in one place and to be able to see real time notes from the team.
Pros: Nutshell has made tracking our leads, customers and information quick and efficient in one place. It's very intuitive and easy to use!
Cons: I have no complaints about Nutshell at this time. Everything is working well. Nutshell has been a huge upgrade from our last tracking system.
Kari R. · HR and Administration Manager · Machinery · December 22, 2025
Overall, we have had a good experience with Nutshell and appreciate the efforts to solve problems in a timely fashion when they arrive and adapt functions if we have a product improvement suggestion.
Pros: Nutshell is fairly easy to use, even for people who are not familiar with CRM services. I like that there has been an uptick in customization features which has helped us adapt the pipeline in the most efficient way for the sales team.
Cons: Sometimes it is difficult to pull reporting information and then to have that be cross functional with Excel. I also wish we would get a weekly activity summary.
Samantha C. · Marketing Specialist · Hospital & Health Care · December 21, 2025
My overall experience with Nutshell has been very positive. It has given our team much better visibility into our contacts, communications, and pipeline, which has made our day-to-day work more organized and intentional. The reporting tools have been especially helpful for our marketing efforts. We are able to review the data, adjust our messaging based on what we are seeing, and make more informed decisions about where to focus our efforts. As a result, we have seen an increase in project volume and a clearer understanding of what is working.
Pros: I love that Nutshell keeps a complete comms history for every contact. It's helpful to see the history, as well as keep tabs on when emails are viewed. The customizable pipelines keep my leads organized.
Cons: The inbox function can be glitchy by getting caught in a refresh cycle. It also doesn't offer a bulk delete function, so there's a lot of junk alongside my important emails.
Maeghan G. · Administrative Assistant · Legal Services · December 20, 2025
Overall experience has been great. Very minor complaints. I’ve never really seen anything like it and I enjoy using it
Pros: It’s super organized and efficient. It allows me to learn our clients wants and needs and to pick up threads that others have dropped
Cons: It can be complicated to learn to use, especially in the beginning. It is also sometimes hard to figure out where to input client info.
Madelynn M. · Campaign Director · Civic & Social Organization · December 19, 2025
We're big fans of the product and rely on it to run many parts of our business. The mobile app allows for on-the-go solutions, email integrations are powerful for historical context, and it's highly intuitive to use versus legacy competitors. We can see in real-time across devices which opportunities are advancing and where others were left behind.
Pros: I think Nutshell's highlights include its UX/UI, efficiency of workflows, strong email and other integrations, and mobile app quality. It is soooo much more intuitive than the "leading" CRMs.
Cons: It's still a a CRM, I wish the search function was more comprehensive, and I'd love to be able to sync with other MSFT products like OneNote and Teams.
Brook C. · Partner · Financial Services · December 19, 2025
So far we have had a positive time using nutshell it has helped us create a better view of our client accounts while being user friendly enough to be easily picked up by salesguys who have never used a CRM tool.
Pros: I am enjoy nutshell for its easy contact managment capabilitys. Being able to link mutiple leads/quote an view them all under a company/person in Nutshell has given us the ability to stay more organized.
Cons: We would like to see more customization in the quote tool and we would also like the mobile app to have full functionability

Nutshell has been nothing short of exceptional. Since partnering with them a few years ago, our business has experienced significant growth. Every team member we’ve worked with has been knowledgeable, professional, and consistently helpful. Nutshell stays up to date with the latest tools and innovations, which has made a noticeable impact on our success. If you’re looking to grow your business even further, I highly recommend Nutshell.
Pros: They stay up to date with the newest technology, providing innovative tools and strategies designed to help your business grow and succeed.
Cons: There is really nothing that I do not like about nutshell, my business has grown by a lot since using them.
Carrie T. · Customer Relations Specialist · Construction · December 19, 2025
Nutshell has been very helpful and a necessary companion in my job. I really have no complaints, just some minor annoyances sometimes when I am in a workflow.
Pros: I work as an admissions specialist for a healthcare company. Nutshell has made managing my leads very simple and straightforward.
Cons: Nutshell often updates its features, which sometimes makes it difficult to adjust when I am in a workflow.
Thomas M. · Admissions Specialist · Mental Health Care · December 18, 2025
If it wasn't for Nutshell, I would have to keep a separate document to keep tabs on hundreds of people at a time, continuously searching my email to see if the person responded or if I still hadn't responded yet, having a separate calendar just for reminders to follow up with people after a certain amount of time, etc. However, with Nutshell, that is for the most part automated and all in one place- not to mention having email templates ready to go that plug and play with names and other saved details! It saves me hours in my workday. I can just start doing the task I am supposed to because the list is there ready to go.
Pros: The non profit I work for uses this software to have one place to track and follow up with people that are interested in knowing more about what we do (that hopefully leads to working with us). Once you understand what features are there, it is very easy to use. I am on and off Nutshell all day, and have to teach other teammates how to use it sometimes. The automations make it easy to communicate with your network once a new person drops into your pipeline. That takes one thing off of my plate, but still leaves a personal touch with the person on the other side of the email/text. Setting reminders (aka activities) keeps me on task without having to backtrack to figure out what my next step is. You just keep moving forward! And customer support is nice because if I have a FAQ, then the chat bot can answer it. The bot starts off by saying if you want to talk with a real person then say that and we will get you connected, so there is no waiting and being frustrated with a robot.
Cons: The hard part of Nutshell is the same as any tech related thing. You have to figure out the different features. Nutshell provides support and trainings that give you an overview of how to use it as well as updated trainings when a new feature is added. So, once you learn the new feature, you are able to integrate it into making your job easier.
Kelsey H. · Coordinator · Non-Profit Organization Management · December 18, 2025
Overall, it has worked for what we have needed it these last few years. We have outgrown the capabilities and have explored other options as this is not built for a service company (as told to us by our support team at Nutshell). This is built for retail, and any solution we have asked to have implemented has been met with "Nutshell isn't built for that, why would you want to do that" and it just doesn't fit our needs anymore.
Pros: All in one platform for leads and email management. It is nice to be able to contact people directly from the lead pages.
Cons: UI, support (lack of), reporting limitations and inaccurate data, minimal options for customizing email sequences simply
Anonymous User · Marketing Director · Construction · December 18, 2025
Overall, Nutshell provides a great product at a very reasonable price. Nothing but good things to say about this tool.
Pros: Coming from Salesforce, the ease of use and plug and play aspect of this CRM is a breath of fresh air. It has made our lead management and sales funnel a breeze. Anytime we have approached their team with an issue its always a solutions first upsell never type of approach.
Cons: Its frequent GUI changes causes confusion from time to time with our older employees. They do adjust, but it is tiring finding the same button you taught them how to use last week.
Sawyer D. · EVP · Financial Services · December 18, 2025
Positive; this is the most organized we've ever had our CRM and I'm looking forward to continuing to grow with them.
Pros: It has been excellent for organizing and centralizing all client communication in one plac; pipelines are flexible and work well beyond traditional sales tracking.
Cons: It is costly for small teams; you can't upgrade specific team members without upgrading everyone, even part-time or seasonal employees. It doesn't feel small-business friendly.
