monday.com helps small businesses manage projects, tasks, and workflows with customizable boards. It’s popular in marketing, IT services, and software services, especially among administrative and creative teams. Users value its team collaboration tools and visual dashboards. However, many cite pricing and performance issues. A new AI-powered board preview launched in 2025 enhances visibility and speeds decisions.

Really enjoyed the overall simplicity and the iOS app was great too. You can toggle between different views (Kanban, Gantt, Calendar, and Timeline) without needing a technical setup and I appreciated that.
Pros: Great task management tool, simple layout with highly customization options. Used it with a team of partner managers to collaborate on projects and ensure the partners were taken care of.
Cons: The pricing felt a little clunky. When we were first trying it out, there was rigid per-seat pricing with a three-user minimum. Once everyone on the team was using it, this was no longer a problem.

My experience overall is a great one. Monday.com is easy to use for even new on boarding staff. I like that it helps keep us organized!
Pros: There is a significant ease of use. It is easy to find board discussions and staff members attached to items.
Cons: I wish there was a undue button that you can press. I know you can review activity log to see what changes have been made, however it would be helpful if there was an undue button that you can quickly press.

My overall experience with monday.com is that it’s one of the most intuitive and visually clear work‑management platforms out there. It turns projects, tasks, and workflows into clean, customizable boards that make it easy to see progress at a glance and keep everyone aligned. The flexibility is a major strength — you can shape monday.com to fit almost any process, whether you’re managing projects, content, operations, or client work. Automations help reduce repetitive tasks, and dashboards give teams a high‑level view of workload, timelines, and priorities. That said, the platform works best when teams set clear structure and naming conventions, because its flexibility can lead to clutter if not managed well. Overall, monday.com creates a smooth, organized, and highly visual experience that boosts clarity and keeps work moving forward.
Pros: What I like most about monday.com is how effortlessly it turns messy, scattered work into a clear, visual, and highly organized workflow. It’s one of the few platforms where teams can see exactly what’s happening, who’s responsible, and what’s coming next — all without digging through emails or spreadsheets. The customizable boards, automations, and dashboards make it incredibly flexible, so whether you’re managing projects, content calendars, sales pipelines, or operations, the system adapts to you rather than forcing you into a rigid structure. It’s also visually intuitive, which makes onboarding fast and keeps teams aligned. Altogether, monday.com stands out for its clarity, flexibility, and ability to streamline even the most chaotic processes.
Cons: The thing I like least about monday.com is that its flexibility can sometimes work against you. Because the platform is so customizable, it’s easy for teams to create too many boards, automations, or views, which can lead to clutter and confusion if there isn’t a clear structure in place. Pricing can also become expensive as you scale, especially if you need advanced features or multiple add‑ons. Some users find that certain views (like Gantt or dashboards) require higher‑tier plans, which can feel limiting. And while the interface is visually appealing, it can feel slow or heavy when boards get large or packed with automations. Overall, monday.com is powerful, but it requires thoughtful setup and ongoing maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.

Overall, I think it's a decent product. I've used ClickUp, Asana, Jira, Project, etc. I started using Monday a year ago and recently started using it again for my business. It's just simple to use, which I appreciate.
Pros: The dev platform is much easier to use than comparable products like Jira. Much less convoluted and constrained.
Cons: The app needs some work; it runs better on the website, but I don't like running apps via browser because it just adds to my tab clutter. I also think it's a little expensive, I do consider time to time if it's actually worth it.

Pros: My and team and use Monday.com every day. It has been a great tool for keeping our team organized and on track with projects. It makes project management, communication, and tracking progress simple and efficient.
Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve at first due to the wide range of features, functionalities, and integrations available. However, once you become familiar with the platform, it becomes an incredibly powerful and efficient tool for managing projects and workflows.
Jenny H. · Communications Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 18, 2026
We've been using monday.com for about 14 months across a team of 11 people in a marketing agency. After a shaky first month of setup, it's now the first thing I open every morning. The value for money feels fair at our current plan level, though I do wish the mid-tier included more automation runs. If you're willing to invest a week or two into setting it up thoughtfully, it pays back in clarity and accountability across the whole team.
Pros: Monday.com completely changed how our team tracks work. The visual boards are genuinely satisfying to use — color-coded statuses, drag-and-drop task cards, and the ability to switch between Kanban, Gantt, and list views without losing any data is a huge win. Task management is where it really shines; assigning owners, setting deadlines, and leaving update threads directly on tasks means we've cut our email back-and-forth by a lot. The automations are also a standout feature — once I set up a rule to notify the team when a task moves to "stuck," it just runs itself. Customer support was responsive when I had onboarding questions, and the help docs are actually readable.
Cons: The pricing jumps steeply once you scale up seats, which stings for smaller teams. The free tier is almost too limited to evaluate it properly. There's also a learning curve around process management — building multi-board workflows with dependencies and linked items feels unintuitive at first, and I ran into a few bugs where automations fired twice or didn't trigger at all (though this seemed to resolve itself after a day). New users tend to over-complicate their boards early on, so without proper onboarding, adoption can stall.

I've used Monday.com to help manage several marketing projects and it is a very modern looking way to track progress, store vital information, and work togehter.
Pros: Monday.com is a great value for money option when it comes to project management and collaboration. It is an easy product to get started with. It has all the features you need and an easy to navigate interface. I've used it in a couple of places, and it always helps with things go easier.
Cons: I like everything about Monday.com. I think that some may want more features or high-end support, but I am able to get all I need from Monday.com.
Patrick C. · VP Strategy · Marketing and Advertising · May 17, 2026
My overall experience with Monday.com is positive. It is a great tool for managing tasks and teamwork, especially for people who like a visual style. It is easy to start using and does not require much training. However, for more complex project management, it may not be as powerful as some other tools.
Pros: What I like most about Monday.com is that it is very easy to understand and visually clear. It helps organize tasks and projects in a simple way, and the boards are very intuitive. It is also flexible and can be used for different types of teams and projects.
Cons: What I like least is that some advanced features are only available in paid plans. It can also become a bit confusing when there are too many boards or tasks. For very large projects, it may feel less structured than other tools.
Hana Ř. · Leader of inventory · Accounting · May 16, 2026
Pros: This is the best platform I've found to make personal organized checklists and also delegate tasks to others on my team. I've used this since 2022 and haven't looked into other platforms becuase of how clean the interface is and how simple it is to set up and use daily.
Cons: I would love a feature that integrates with my email and calendar and suggests tasks based on items in there. It is an added step to my daily work routine to add items on the platform manually.
Holly E. · Assistant Director of Operations · Real Estate · May 14, 2026
My experience has been excellent. I view monday.com as a "strategic architecture" tool rather than just a task list. It has allowed me to audit and streamline operations for businesses in HVAC, construction, and facility management by providing a central "source of truth." It’s more than software; it’s the backbone of my consulting and operational strategy.
Pros: The sheer flexibility of the platform is unmatched. As someone who builds automated operational systems for various service trades, I find the ability to customize boards for everything from high-level project management to granular lead tracking essential. The automation engine is a game-changer; it allows me to create "hands-off" workflows that ensure nothing falls through the cracks, which is vital when managing multiple business entities simultaneously.
Cons: While the platform is incredibly powerful, the learning curve for advanced features—like complex mirrored columns or multi-board automations—can be steep for new users. Additionally, the pricing structure can feel a bit restrictive for small teams that need "Pro" level features but don't yet have a high seat count.
Amber H. · CEO Owner · Business Supplies and Equipment · May 13, 2026
Pros: I liked most was its intuitive and visually appealing interface, which makes project management both engaging and straightforward. The platform offers a high level of customisation, allowing teams to tailor workflows to their specific needs, which enhances productivity and collaboration. I particularly appreciated the variety of templates available, which can be easily adapted for different projects, saving time and effort in setup.
Cons: while the customisation options are extensive, the initial setup can be somewhat overwhelming for new users, as it may take time to fully understand how to leverage all the available features effectively. Lastly, although the platform is generally user-friendly, there can be a learning curve when it comes to navigating more complex workflows, which might require additional training or support.
Luciano T. · Customer Management · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · May 11, 2026
My overall experience with monday.com has been excellent. It has significantly improved our team's coordination and transparency. We used it to track distribution tasks and inventory projects, and it helped us identify bottlenecks that we previously missed. It has effectively replaced several scattered spreadsheets and consolidated our communication into one place, making our operations much more efficient.
Pros: What I like most about monday.com is its highly visual and intuitive interface. As someone with a background in logistics management, the ability to customize boards to track complex supply chain workflows is a game-changer. The automation features are incredibly powerful—reducing manual data entry and ensuring that my team stays updated on every task status in real-time. It’s not just a task manager; it’s a full operational hub.
Cons: While the platform is very flexible, the learning curve for advanced automations and integrations can be a bit steep for new users. Additionally, the pricing structure can become quite expensive as you add more team members or require higher-tier features. I also found that the notification system can be a bit overwhelming if not properly configured from the start.

It has now become a core tool for my and my teams daily work management and project planning and management.
Pros: I like that Monday.com is a user friendly platform that meets the needs of a wide spectrum of users, from technophobes to the tech savvy
Cons: Sometimes I do find basic intuition functionality that could be really beneficial is missing, like last week, I added auto-assigned item numbers to a board and would have loved that there was a straight forward way (or automatic) that the sub-item becomes a fraction of the parent item number (eg. parent number is 15, sub items would be auto-assigned 15.1, 15.2, 15.3 etc)
Kerrie B. · Strategy Accelerator Portfolio Lead · Hospital & Health Care · May 11, 2026
It has been great. they have what you need, all you need to do is bring the discipline to the table. Its great t o look at is as texting or not having send that long email to explain what can be seen in real time.
Pros: I appreciate that my adhd brain gets the stimulation from an aesthetically please AND highly functional program. Looks do matter when you have too many words, number, people, and items to look at. It is also great to have all of our team on one accord. Monday.com, def gets you through the week and beyond.
Cons: That you have to purchase so many add-ons and the prices that come with them. Maybe might be best to bring the prices down on them, especially for an organization already on the nonprofit plan. Those extra views and features could prove very helpful, but because of the size of our team they still take us completely out of budget.
Leemu H. · Exec. Assistant and Operations Manager · Events Services · May 10, 2026
Brilliant, the Monday team are very helpful and supportive. Definitely the best project management tool.
Pros: Project collaboration, automation of repetitive tasks, full transparency, Monday.com can make you look like a hero very easily
Cons: I would like to have more specific use case templates. Sometimes they can be too generic, I need more context to start thinking about what I can do
Leanne M. · Marketing field project manager · Construction · May 8, 2026
Have used it for a while. Its simple with a lot that you can do. I'm certain I haven't even come close to its full potential.
Pros: Ease of use and automation. Its nice to track lots of tasks or jobs at a time and have a central place for team members to see live updates.
Cons: That I can't tab through the columns like an excel sheet or that I can't automate child items the same way as regular.
Sterling H. · Office Manager · Construction · May 7, 2026
Overall, monday.com has been a valuable tool in helping us centralize workflows and improve operational efficiency. As we continue building out structured processes and integrating it with other systems, it is becoming a core part of how we manage projects, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration. With the right setup and ongoing management, it has strong potential to scale with the organization’s needs.
Pros: The flexibility and customization are standout features. Monday.com allows us to build workflows that align with our internal processes across operations, accounting, HR, and insurance without forcing a one-size-fits-all structure. The visual dashboards and automation capabilities make it easy to track progress, manage deadlines, and improve overall team visibility. Integration with tools like Outlook and shared inboxes also supports more streamlined communication and task management.
Cons: There is a learning curve, especially when building more advanced workflows or automations. Without proper setup and governance, boards can become cluttered or inconsistent across teams. Additionally, some features that would enhance reporting and automation are only available in higher-tier plans.

My overall experience with Monday.com has been very positive. It has helped streamline our workflows, improve team communication, and keep projects organized in a clear and efficient way.
Pros: What I liked most about Monday.com is its strong support for nonprofit grant management, along with powerful automations and ready to use templates that make it easy to streamline workflows and stay organized.
Cons: One limitation I found is that forms only allow a single file upload, which makes it challenging when multiple documents need to be collected in one submission.
Manashe K. · CEO · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 6, 2026
Largely positive, does its job. Easy to set up with an intuitive UI, sensibly priced with good customer support
Pros: Decent value for money, good customer support, easy to use, no bugs or issues and very helpful features.
Cons: Nothing immediately springs to mind, templates are useful, good automation etc.. Overall very positive experience.
Oliver B. · Coordinator · Marketing and Advertising · May 6, 2026
Overall, Monday.com provides a positive experience for organising and managing work at a team level. It is easy to adopt, visually engaging, and works well for tracking tasks and collaboration. While more exploration would be needed to assess its suitability for large‑scale or complex environments, it performs solidly for day‑to‑day work management.
Pros: Monday.com offers a clean, visually appealing interface that makes it easy to organise work and track progress. Boards are flexible and intuitive, allowing teams to structure tasks, timelines, and responsibilities in a way that suits different use cases. Automation features help reduce manual follow‑ups, and customer support has been responsive and helpful when issues arise.
Cons: The initial setup and implementation can be challenging, particularly without clear guidance or defined processes. Some issues encountered early on were related to bugs or platform behaviour, while others stemmed from user configuration errors. There is a learning curve to using the tool effectively, especially when scaling beyond basic task management.
Sheniga K. · HR · Financial Services · May 6, 2026
Our overall experience with monday.com was very positive. It was easy to use, well organised, and provided all the features we needed to manage projects and workflows efficiently. The platform offered good value for money and was flexible enough to suit our needs. While some advanced features took a little time to learn, overall it was reliable, user-friendly, and a tool we would definitely use again.
Pros: What we liked most about monday.com was how easy it was to use while still offering all the features we needed. It provided good value for money, was simple to navigate, and helped keep projects organised efficiently. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely use it again.
Cons: it can feel overwhelming at times, especially for new users. With so many features, automations, and customisation options, there can be a learning curve to set everything up efficiently

Overall, it is great. I use it for all of my different businesses, including being a VA & director of operations.
Pros: I really like the interface and how it looks - it is super cute & easy to customize. I do also like how easy it is to share with team members. I use it to task track & as a lead management tool, and so far it is great for both of those!
Cons: My only 2 cons are having to pay once I reached the limit for items. I also am a VA for multiple companies so I would like for it to be easier to have multiple accounts intertwined into 1 overarching account so I can easily flip between them.
Emma N. · Director of Operations · Hospitality · May 5, 2026
Smooth, easy and a pleasure to use. I sign up at every company I am at and love how intuative it is. Love the colours and the labeling system.
Pros: I love the visuals and how easy it is to use. It seems like a small thing but the colours and freshness of the pages makes it a pleasure to use and satisfying to complete.
Cons: only thing of late is that we are sellign tickets for an event and i would like to see battery bars for money - so we can see how close we are to our target in a clear visual, it may be somewhere but i havent been able to find it!
Emilee A. · Event Manager · Computer Software · May 5, 2026
Overall, the experience with monday.com has been positive so far. The platform is already adding value in terms of organization and workflow clarity, and while there is still a learning curve, we are continuing to build comfort and deepen our use of its features over time.
Pros: Finally implementing a centralized project management tool into our workflow has been a major benefit. We’ve especially appreciated monday.com’s flexibility in building custom workflows and automations, which has helped streamline task management, improve visibility across teams, and reduce manual follow-up.
Cons: Adopting monday.com while already operating at full capacity made the onboarding process feel daunting. There is a learning curve to fully utilizing the platform—particularly around structuring boards and automations—which can require a meaningful upfront time investment before teams realize the full benefit.
Skye D. · Deputy Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 5, 2026
Love it for project management and collaboration with team members. Overall it is a helpful platform to use for tasks and to dos.
Pros: The interface is so easy to view and navigate and setup from the beginning. It is easy to collaborate with the different features and add team members to lists. The multiple dashboards also make it easy to manage different teams and projects.
Cons: The app can be a bit confusing to get started on because of all of the features and navigating the app dashboards, but once you get used to it you're good.
