Overall, my experience with Jira was positive. It worked well for Agile project management, sprint planning, issue tracking, and team collaboration. The platform is highly customizable and suitable for teams of different sizes, especially in software development environments. Although there is a learning curve and some complexity in setup, it remains one of the most reliable tools for managing engineering and QA workflows efficiently.
Pros: It makes life so easy to report a bug or create a story or a spike or any type of tasks and you can create measurable metrics out of everything. Integrations with AI helps in fine tuning your descriptions I liked the flexibility in creating workflows, dashboards, and custom issue types based on team needs.
Cons: Jira can feel overwhelming for new users because of the number of configuration options and settings.

Pros: It’s quite easy of use. Jira also has a great overview off all your relevant sections. The task management is also very clearly structered.
Cons: It can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning. It’s quite hard in the beginning to find the specific article you are looking for.

Pros: A robust ticketing system. It’s user friendly, even the person with no technical knowledge can use it for the projects . The entire ecosystem is customisable. Jira has been actively implementing AI into their tools named ROVO , helping creating tickets and searching. It helps in team collaboration.
Cons: You need a dedicated admin to setup the workflows and manage the panel , else it will be messy. it would have been nice if it had automised organising tools. It has a little lag, even though fast not super fast . The email reminders are okay but sometimes feel like flooded with emails as they also send emails on tickets to all users that is in the assigned group, not only to the assigned person.

The way we use Jira is primarily for campaign builds: building websites for refresh tasks, email sequences, changing paid search stuff or the occasional client journey diagram. It is more software than we technically need, but it is good to have project collaboration not live in my head. I would keep it if it were for that amount of money, as freelancers come and go. Simply allow an afternoon to just clean up the setup.
Pros: The visibility is what I like the most. Jira allows me to view landing page content, ad creatives, client approvals, and dev ticket without having to track down Slack threads for a 2-10 person shop. Task management is sufficiently described for retainers, and the collaboration amongst group feels cleaner in the mornings on Monday. Whiteboards / diagrams creation helps to map the ideas before we convert them to work items. We believe the pricing is reasonable for the amount of tracking we receive.
Cons: The configuration can become very complicated. I still try to conceal 50% of the fields so that account managers don't get bored. Easy to use is OK after training, but not on day one. Customer support has responded to tickets, but the responses can sometimes lead to documentation, and I was looking for a very simple answer for a small agency workflow.

Pros: Mit diversen AddOns ausgestattet kann man sehr übersichltich sehen, was gerade aktuell zu tun ist oder woran gearbeitet wird, hat eine vollständige Dokumentation, was passiert ist und kann die Zeiten auswerten, die man an diversen Aufgaben verbracht hat.
Cons: Viele AddOns nötig, um es "rund" zu machen. Kosten sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Sehr viele Mails im Postfach.

Pleasant in that when it's used for how its designed, you largely get what you need. Too many people try to pitch Jira as a portfolio tool or use it for non-software deliverables and it just doesn't work from my point of view.
Pros: Jira is great as a software development tool which is what its primary design it. The functionality aligns perfectly to teams working in an Agile way.
Cons: Jira is very rigid with limited options to customise & it's hard to get a true portfolio view of multiple deliverables.

Pros: Taks Management: There are lots of things which are very good about Jira like it allows multiple spaces, easy task creation and assign process with dynamic card types as needed. Cons: In Least like I will say report section is little complex as per another awesome features like kanban board, sprint creation and Timeline. Report must be easy JQL is little complex for admin level people

Jira is the industry standard for software development teams to keep track of projects and issues. As long as it is initially configured correctly, then it scales and works completely fine. There's so much customization you can do to almost every single field, issue, project, view, or board. The integration list of apps is very large but do be prepare to pay for it as most apps are billed to your existing Jira user count.
Pros: Super common, popular, and almost industry standard project management and issue tracking platform for software development teams. Workflows are fully customizable as well as almost every field, issue type, views, boards, etc. There's also a huge Atlassian marketplace of apps available. Native integrations with GitHub and other Atlassian suite apps. You can also get really granular with access control permissions at the project and issue level.
Cons: Because Jira is so customizable, there is a really steep learning curve to configure everything. And because permissions can be very granular it can a little difficult to track down access issues to spaces, projects, and issues. You almost need a dedicated Jira only administrator for large teams/businesses for it to run and maintain correctly. Marketplace apps come at an additional cost and is billed per every Jira user you have.

Pros: What I liked most about Jira is the level of workflow discipline and traceability it creates. In practice, tasks, incidents, approvals, backlogs, priorities, and deadlines are visible in one system. For example, instead of following actions by email or scattered Excel files, teams can manage execution with clearer ownership and auditability.
Cons: What I liked least about Jira is that it can become over-engineered. Poor configuration, too many custom fields, or excessive workflows can create bureaucracy rather than productivity. For non-technical teams, onboarding may also require change management.

Pros: What i like most a out Jira is the incredible ability to provide a single source of truth for the entire team. I'd give it a solid 4 stars. It is the industry standard for a reason, and for managing software development sprints with multiple teams, it does exactly what it needs to do. However, I can't give it 5 stars because the clunky UI and occasional slowness hold it back from being perfect. Honestly, it is absolute overkill for a tiny team or a simple to-do list. But once you finally get through the painful setup process, it actually keeps massive projects organized and stops bugs from falling through the cracks
Pros: The biggest advantage is how customizable the workflows are. If your team has a specific or unusual process, you can map it out exactly. I really rely on the integrations with Confluence and GitHub - it’s incredibly helpful to see code commits or doc pages linked directly to a ticket so I don't have to go digging around. The drag-and-drop Kanban and Scrum boards make running our daily standups much easier and keep everyone on the same page.
Cons: It is incredibly heavy and sometimes feels slow. Taking seconds just to load a single ticket or update a status gets annoying when you are in a rush. Jira will completely flood your inbox with useless notification emails.
